Coming of Zero Empty Coming of Zero

Tsubasa's body glistened with sweat as the product of his next assignment as the leader of the ever important Zero Division came to him. He sat in the form he'd been training in for a couple days, it was like a glove. Something he'd not completely adjusted too, training to perfect it would be a time consuming process. His eyes closed for a moment, he could keep it for a while now. Simple tasks such as day to day talking and things wouldn't be trouble. He wiped his face with a towel of white coloring, his frame stood in the middle of a desert of empty space. Tsubasa slipped into his kimono, his eyes glanced the report over giving it a read. Nozomi, she was the one who'd been after Ryujin Jakka at the time. He sighed exhaling a breath, he needed to ascertain her wishes. Tsubasa could arrive in this body, but he decided against it. He let his frame return to normal as the horns sunk back into his skull. His hair returned to it's blonde form slowly. The glowing locks as he moved his shoulders, his energy was replenished instantly by the city of sand.

He felt good, this place was for adjusting to the powers. It was a secret little place the Soul King set for him, he adjusted his shoulders. Slipping Byakko into the loop of his Kimono's belt as he let it slide in to the hilt. He read over the reports now as he decided to taken in the people around him. He'd returned from dealing with Inami and her problems not long ago. His shoulders still were sore from the amount of power released. His eyes slowly returned to the color of blood, his emotions calm as he looked on. He walked out of the city like world it was otherworldly here in the Zero Division. The Royal Palace wasn't like the other world, it was a place all it's own. The people around were all powerful and strong warriors, specially his aides. He gently handed them the papers and looked at them smiling. He'd not left here since Inami and had intended to keep out of things. Till such a time the Zero Division or the time to ride the Pale came again.

But for now, the reports stated things were happening and Nozomi had been a busy bird. Tsubasa smiled softly as he walked towards the exit, he could return when he pleased. He looked back at the aides now, speaking calmly and softly. "Take care of things here, I doubt any hostile actions will occur..I'm refreshed though, hopefully it can be a peaceful outing." Tsubasa walked through appearing in the air now as the light show alone was rather amazing. He dusted himself off, smiling as he began to appear. His eyes looked over the country, it was Switzerland of course. The floating city was impressive, Tsubasa's presence wasn't hidden for that wasn't his desire. He crossed his legs sitting calmly as he relaxed himself. Intense focus something that he'd shown time and time again. He could sense a flee several miles off. Sneaking up even for Nozomi wouldn't be a feat, though he hoped she'd be direct. She had to know this visit would come someday in the future, Tsubasa got the request to investigate and decided to do so.

He understood Nozomi and her intentions well enough, she desired an end to this meaningless fighting. Tsubasa had taken a country, Iran was his and his families. It was known as a neutral area, they no longer sold contracts or performed such services. Some members of the family chose to work as Captains. His Son and cousin were two such people, his eyes looked on at the city. Tsubasa was a calm person, it was something that came off him now. The old blood lust it could be summoned of course, but now a calm that seemed other worldly. Tsubasa knew soon enough, soon enough the likes of Nozomi would arrive. Last time she saw him it was a different man, he smiled slightly thinking about it. The day he made the vow not to kill anymore a toll was lifted from his shoulders. Growth can only begin when you acknowledge the wrong you've done, sadly the number he killed would never come back. But at the very least his struggle for survival was done and now he could peacefully live.

Tsubasa was very near to the City Nozomi had ascended into the Heavens. The structure's north side he estimated was where he was located. It floated over the Ocean now, such an interesting state. Tsubasa's ruby like eyes took it all in, such a brilliant mind to raise it. Nozomi was a brilliant woman and that was just the way it was. Brilliant minds stood out, Kisuke Urahara was one such as her. He wasn't sure if the two were similar, Tsubasa Unabara would always be an enigma. Perhaps that was what made him capable of these quests, he had no intention of doing anything aside from asking. Now their were a few things she could do, that was true his eyes looked towards the direction of the floating country. It was impressive, he only hoped today was not a day the Pale Rider would begin to ride. Tsubasa did not fear drawing his sword but he hoped peaceful communication could be reached. Nozomi and he were different birds, but even birds could get along when needed.

Coming of Zero Empty Re: Coming of Zero

Artist: Two Steps From Hell - Song: Sun Gazer

Travelling to the risen land of Switzerland was not quite the same experience as it used to be—it was a country no longer bound to the land, but free to drift upon the tides of the sky. A dozen miles high above the Indian Ocean, able to be seen off the southern coast of India as a kingdom above the clouds, this was the capital of the new Eldrazi nation, ruled by none other than the First Quincy. In order to arrive upon this heavenly land, one needed to plot a course through the air, higher than any single construct or terrain existing on the Earth. The air would be cold enough to freeze the sweat along one's brow, and crispen the hairs of one's head. Frost would collect upon the outside of the skin as the vapors in the air condensed upon any solid surface. The atmospheric pressure would deprive the oxygen from one's lungs and make it difficult to breath, or even move, getting worse the higher one rose. But when one finally made it... when one was able to pass into the dominion of the floating country, they were rewarded with the freshest breath of air they would ever receive in their lives. It was like Tsubasa had passed through an invisible barrier, separating the harsh atmosphere above the clouds from that of her glorious land. A calming breeze and gentle warmth would embrace him like a lover, and the release of pressure's chilling grip would make him feel rejuvenated—as though he had just awoken from contenting sleep. There was a deal of energy content in the air that seemed to just be for the taking: Tsubasa could just reach out to consume it to add to his own energy supply if he so desired, for it had no unique signature nor properties. The moment it was assimilated into one's own body it would mimic their own energy, meaning that one could theoretically never be exhausted while they stayed within the boundaries of Switzerland...

This was just one of an incredible amount of things that had changed here, making the old Switzerland unrecognizable. The most obvious change of course was the entire architecture and terrain of the land, with silver and golden gleaming cities as far as the eye could see, with great tall towers of a height not usual on Earth. This modern marvel of structural design was also counterbalanced with splashes of green as nature was woven into the cities. There were many great plots of land seemingly reserved for unhindered fields of grass, flowing rivers, lush forests and many more features of the wild. It was not exactly untamed, for the grass seemed to be to well kept, and there was wildlife such as roaming deer and prowling lions neither of which seemed to interfere with the urban sections; there were no gates and yet the two different parts were very defined. It made one wonder why the animals didn't cross into the cities even though they were so close by, and it made one wonder how such vast areas of wildlands could be so well kept; but that was exactly what they were looking at. As Tsubasa would further explore deeper into the country of Switzerland, he would likely sense some very grandiose structures plotted throughout the various cities—thick cylindrical towers brimming with power. Not only did this seem to be where the listless energy seemed to be emanating from, but where the cities themselves were getting their power from, Massive networks branched out from these node-like towers to each and every square inch of every building, bringing electricity and data all around at blinding speeds. The inner mechanisms of these generators remained a mystery behind those metal shells around them, but whatever was going on in there was producing enough power to run an entire continent.

Switzerland was not entirely a static phenomenon either; people could be seen by the hundreds down below, walking the streets and enjoying the fresh air. Their clothes all suggested some form of great wealth and luxury, not a single one torn or worn. Not a soul on the street corner begging for food and money; not a single one with a frown or wrinkle on their face; not even a man or woman who seemed to be unhealthy or suffering from obesity. Many were jogging, many were socializing, many were playing outside with a football or soccer ball, but not many people seemed to be outside just to get somewhere. Transportation in Eldrazi was quite different from the norm: there was a public system that allowed for near instantaneous movement from any one place of the country to another, and so usually when one was outside it was for a different reason. This was also why cars seemed to be nonexistent in this land, though the occasional hover vehicle could be seen passing by through between the massive buildings of the city. Alongside the citizens of Eldrazi, there were a different brand of entities moving about, who wore metal instead of flesh. Synthetic beings such as the Schutzgeweit drones soared through the air with no visible means of propulsion. They were like steel spheres with a electronic eye centered on the front, and they were just as populous as the biological beings seemed to be here. Generally they just flied around overwatching the events within the lands of Switzerland, but not uncommonly they would be called over by one of the citizens to interact with them. For example; Tsubasa would witness as one was hailed simply to take the trash off of one's hands, which the drone would subsequently incinerate before going back about its business. Another case was when another individual was asking for information about the city, which the drone would promptly and extensively explain for them before leaving. They seemed to be public servants of a sort. The other synthetic that Tsubasa would spot on his way into the depths of Switzerland was much larger and much more threatening than the simple drones—one of the Höllendrachen was spotted perched upon the tip of a tower. They were steel drakes that shone incandescently in the sunlight, and it would give the Pale Rider a stern glance with its glowing white eye before flapping its great wings and taking off in another direction, with powerful jets assisting its propulsion to a fairly swift speed.

There were many sights to be seen along the way towards the center of Switzerland where Nozomi would be, and still Tsubasa had not witnessed everything there was to see, not even close. This did not even seem like it belonged on the same planet, and yet it did. Nonetheless, it was likely not what the Pale Rider had come here to see today; what he sought for would lead him towards the center of the capital country, where the capital city lied. Mirrodin, as it was now called, was a city even more impressive than the rest. Waterfalls that glistened like silver were prominent throughout the metal architecture, giving the city a very reflective sheen wherever one looked; yet, even so close to the sun with so much light, there never seemed to be any glare too bright for Tsubasa's eyes—clearly there were enchantments altering properties of the city to improve it in small ways. The towers here also seemed to be even higher, bringing a new meaning to the word "skyscraper" as their height rose high up into the atmosphere so that it could not even be perceived from the ground. At the heart of it all was something that could only be described as a futuristic castle—it possessed the majesty of a citadel, but the radiant shine of metal. Two gargantuan colossi stood on either side of the structure as though a royal guard. They were still and statuesque, yet they possessed a powerful spirit within that gave off the impression that they could come to life at any point. There was no doubt that this was the empire's throne, and where Nozomi would watch from above. And lo and behold, there was the First Quincy herself, hovering above her castle with her flowing azure hair and monochromatic outfit. She wore the emblem of her country proudly on her arm, and was smiling rather ecstatically at the arrival of Tsubasa.

As he approached, she would float forward to meet him halfway. In time, the two would enter close proximity and Nozomi would turn back to face her palace, wonder in her crimson eyes. There was a brief silence before the woman spoke, a soft chime-like voice coming from between her thin lips. ''This is what the future should look like, Tsubasa, the future for the people of Earth. These people have been at war for so long that progress has slowed, choosing to improve powers and weaponry in favor of mutual destruction. But Eldrazi is a nation apart from all of that, to set its society back on course. These people will live in utopia, never needing to worry ever again. I have and will continue to make sure they live to each their own a perfect life... It's glorious, all of it, isn't it?'' She held her gaze upon the silver throne for a little while longer before turning to the Pale Rider, clearly pleased with herself. The aversion between them seemed to be a distant memory now, at least on Nozomi's side. She very well knew what Tsubasa had done, but it did not seem to factor into her current mood whatsoever. ''What brings you to these lands, Tsubasa Unabara? Is there something you need to discuss with me?''

Tsubasa smiled standing his frame up, he'd taken in the entirety of this place as it was a giant world. Nozomi had created a paradise and she was pleased, he could read that much. Tsubasa had sworn off killing his eyes looked at her and burned into her. Though no ill intent came from him as he smiled and looked over the paradise once more. This place was perfect, humanity would be good here perhaps it was deserved after the conflict was completed. "It is indeed, perhaps if this had been around when I was young..Tsubaki would not of lost her life.." Tsubasa said calmly, something about him was at peace. Something he never did understand, how did such a horrible person like him earn peace? But he guessed that even the worse people in the world deserved it. Repenting and selling your soul almost just to make up for every life taken by you. That was something Tsubasa could understand perfectly, Nozomi and he may of been apart in many aspirations but he was not who he once was. "I came here to investigate the news of the floating country. I have my family settled in Iran at present..we are finishing killing. I am going to try and lead my children and family down a brighter tomorrow.." Tsubasa said calmly, he was sincere as he looked and spoke to her. It was true that he hadn't even scratched the surface of what his family could do. His eyes looked at her, Tsubasa was a product of a world that once was. He was the product of the murderous Zeraki District, that place had changed him into this. These type of things could prevent it entirely, such a future had to be grasped for. It didn't matter if the destination was rocky, his eyes looked at Nozomi. Tsubasa smiled for a moment as he thought about someone else who would like to visit Nozomi. "I have a request, you need not comply..But their is a boy within my current organization...He's never met a Quincy and I can honestly bet he's never seen a world like the one you've crafted...He's a future, something that will change our world someday..So if you can someday I will send him this way, teach him to be better then the past.."

Tsubasa knew Kurai would love to see this place, being stuck inside the place he'd been stuck within. Kurai was now a successor the future of Zero Division laid on his shoulders, Tsubasa had chosen not to teach the child swordplay. Kurai had begged and it wasn't till Kurai was told Inami failed and as did Satan Soul. That he understood, Tsubasa's swordplay was not meant for him. Tsubasa had high hopes for the future, his eyes looked at the utopia. This was a future worth investing in, his eyes looked towards her now. Nozomi of the Quincy, the first of her kind and one who came to fight. Tsubasa exhaled a soft sigh smiling softly as he looked up at the sky now for a moment. "As you've most likely concluded I'm no longer with the Gotei 13, after the situation with that being destroying everything..I had to make arrangements to save them..My last act for them was enough though, Iriko Crow is the new Head Captain..Hopefully you and he can reach a peaceful conclusion. " Tsubasa had given her some information nothing hard to figure out, since he'd announced himself stepping down. Tsubasa's second announcement was more ground breaking, the Pale Rider had stepped out of the ride. Tsubasa had finished being a member of the deadly way of life. His eyes looked ahead now at the future as it was a whole. Tsubasa didn't know what would come next, but Nozomi had a future that would vastly act the world of humans. This place was but the first of many, his mind closed for a second. He thought about it all, how much this would benefit people. But somethings had to be a certain way, of course it was only one of many. A sword must return to it's sheath and a blade may only grow. Death is a way of life, it's something that defines and creates and yet destroys. That was the nature of the beast within, that was the truth.

Tsubasa now only could await her reaction, she'd created a paradise. "I won't be able to fight anymore for the sake of justice..Not as much, this blade of mine isn't able to slay anymore..Not that I lament this choice..Soon the heir to Kierudo will appear, I will train him to deadly effort and have him carry on my traditions and ideals...Guide him and help him learn not to use the deadly skills against people for personal gain but to aid in the future." Tsubasa said finally as he wouldn't announce the person's name. It was up to the Heir to make his presence felt when the time was right, much like Tsubasa had done. The rest was up to them all to decide, Tsubasa could only pass knowledge on this way. Everything going on was but an extension, yes he'd needed to see what was going on. The world and Tsubasa were no longer working together very often. Training to master a new power were but the ideal behind it all. Tsubasa had put the time into teaching the new future, he now could only take in the reactions of Nozomi.

Artist: Two Steps From Hell - Song: Sun Gazer

Tsubasa immediately came off as a soft-spoken individual, someone who rarely rose their voice even in circumstances of extreme emotion. He addressed her in a calm and balanced tone throughout his dictation, despite the mention of someone who was clearly close to him. When the sad memory entered his line of thought, it did not control his articulation, letting the past be the past. It pleased the young woman, however, to hear the praise he had to give about her utopia, both implied and not. The word "utopia" came not without doubts in the minds of others, as it seemed a dream too good to become true. It was a word that caused others to question the mind of its speaker, for it was something that had been used before in several situations, all of which had turned out to be terribly misguided tragedies. There was nothing that suggested that Nozomi would set herself apart from the rest, but here in Switzerland is where her vision would begin, and where she would prove that utopia could exist. In Mirrodin, a new generation was inaugurated, and it would put all questions to rest. Tsubasa would be one of the first to witness it coming to reality, and it truly was something special; seeing it in person was quite different than hearsay. It would be shocking to hear as well that Nozomi's work was definitely not done—there was still more to add and perfect, and make sure nothing ever incriminated upon these lands ever again. Eldrazi was a delicate experiment that could go wrong with one single mistake. It required the utmost efforts and precision to upkeep. What was currently built was acceptable, but it was not the finished product. At most... these beginnings were mere proof of concept.

But Nozomi knew he wasn't here just for visiting someone, especially not a being who had only just recently been seen as an invader at the gates of the Soul Society, and a murderer of one of their fellow Captains. The woman was not omniscient, but she knew that Tsubasa was the Ex-Captain Commander of the Gotei 13, and the one who had interfered with her attempted grave robbery. There was something on his mind, and he was eager to move onto it; it began with the words "I have a request." The Pale Rider spoke of a boy he had under his wing, clearly somebody he cared deeply about. He declared that this one would grow up to change the world, and that it was important for him to be instructed to lead a different life than he had been leading before. Perhaps it was a matter of self-doubt, and Tsubasa felt that he no longer was the right one to teach the youngling any longer. It was a very likely case, that this was supposed to be his student, but he felt unfit for the task. However, the words from the man caused a subtle fault in the upbeat expression of Nozomi. The smile seemed to shrink infinitesimally, the eyes dampened imperceptibly... Something disturbed her about what he said. Tsubasa would go on to reiterate that he had abandoned the Gotei and left it under the care of Iriko Crow; likely another case in which he felt unsuitable for such a role of leadership. Yes, it was something Nozomi would eventually have to take care of in regards to her actions in that realm, but it was a task for later. The displeasure that pervaded Nozomi's mind was not to do with that, however, and instead revolved around the very man she spoke to. She was noticing a pattern about Tsubasa and his choices, how one by one his responsibilities seemed to be relinquished to others, as was the case that appeared here. What was the end goal? When there was not a string left unhewn, Nozomi was curious about what lied ahead for the man. If not something illustrious, then it was simply reprehensible.

But what of her answer? Tsubasa wished to deliver his student upon her and have her train him instead, and the reality of it was that Nozomi had only been a teacher once in her lifetime, as the harbinger of the first era of Quincies. There was no doubt in her mind that if she put herself to the task she could succeed despite the lack of experience, and that she was of a different race; yet, she did not wish to be a part of Tsubasa's machinations in the end. She had her own focus in front of her, bringing to life a new society from the ground up. ''I see,'' she began, shifting her gaze back to the falls of water that flowed like silk over the smooth metal surfaces of her estate. It was like the water that poured from a sink's faucet; a flow of water that seemed to be still in time, though one knew that it still somehow flowed. It was a silver blanket, undisturbed by a rush too strong nor an ebb too weak. It was an enchanting sight. ''I'm afraid you came to the wrong individual then, but I have just explained it to you. I am not a mentor in war and I do not plan to become one—I fight, but I will not pass lessons of such power down to others. The goal is to strive away from such a cruel reality for the sake of a new one free of such things. You say that this boy will grow up to change the world and I can't help but be worried at the implications of what you mean, Tsubasa. I already am trying to do that myself.''

A flock of birds was approaching; light brown feathered sparrows by the looks of it, which were a diminutive species of songbirds swift in flight and sharp in precision. They approached in formation toward the floating pair of beings, before breaking off and splitting up. Several of them flew right past them in a blur, though a three would stick around and circle the blue-haired woman singing their charming tune. She held her arm out and opened her hand, giving one of them a perch on her index finger to take. The other two left to rejoin their flock, but the one stuck around and continued to sing its heart out to her for a little while longer. It was an effective pause from the rising tension, that simply made it hard to maintain ill feelings. There was an aura of Eldrazi that lingered in the air to make one feel warm and pleasant. Nozomi would wait for the sparrow to complete its song, and even whistled back to it in praise. The bird couldn't smile, but with the way it flapped its wings one could tell it was quite pleased with itself. It too would then depart, far behind the rest of its companions, but sure to know where to find them in the end. ''I am working my hardest to secure several more regions, and then to develop the rest of the infrastructure for the land. After that the only thing left will be to declare Eldrazi a nation in its own right, so that it may be recognized by the others of the world, and by societies outside our own realm, such as the Soul Society. At that point, Eldrazi will be open to immigrants. You may send this boy of yours then, and he will have to go through the screening process like all the rest, but not until then. That's what you will do if you wish for him to be a part of this utopia, but I am afraid that I will have to decline accepting him as a student of my own.''

Tsubasa's eyes wandered to a hell butterfly, his hand reached out taking the small black fluttering creature upon it. He sighed softly, nothing could be simple it seemed his heir had begun to make his move in the Gotei 13. What else was going on, Iriko's release of the Maggots Nest had caused some predicted trouble. The Heir could easily handle that, Tsubasa's eyes kept on the woman. He never broke eye contact, his expression remained serious for a few moments. He sent back a message, his network of spies and everything were flawless. Perhaps something that Tsubasa and the Unabara had perfected the art of. They could gather information due to Tsunashi very flawlessly, Tsunashi's power wasn't great for combat. But for the art of stealth and being the ultimate spy. His brother was indeed the best their was, he smiled at Tsunashi's work. Before simply letting it go now, he decided it was time for this to move on. Tsunashi had indeed left everything in order, Tsubasa could only smile at his brothers little touches.

The fluttering black butterfly left his finger and moved out to the location it needed too. "Thanks for your time, Lady Nozomi. But pressing matters and damage control call for my attention..Chances are if Kurai wants to see Quincy you'll have trouble keeping him away..As for my heir, cannot say what he'll do..just that blood will be spilled.." Tsubasa turned and vanished in a single step, going over a hundred miles with one. And disappearing instantly, his powerful shunpo one of the many reasons he was respected for so long. Tsubasa walked through a portal to the realm of the Royal Palace, the portal closed behind him. Tsubasa's people swarmed him with paper work. He began signing things and reading documents, the Leader of Zero had much on his plate. Nozomi was as expected in her own world. She and her people did not require Tsunashi's skills. However others did, other people did require the art that his brother perfected in many circles.

Combat was a dance and as was being a spy, you see none could deny that Tsunashi had the talent to be War. However danger was present from K-World and Shadow's Fall perhaps. Many things were left as unknowns, dangerous elements roamed now. The Heir was about to bare his fangs and teeth at those fools from the Maggots Nest. Tsubasa had a small smile form on his lips, that was going to be messy. He didn't envy those from the Maggots Nest, Iriko didn't realize what he'd done most likely. The Heir wasn't a man who took no for an answer, you were either recaptured and gave up nicely. Or you were a dead former resident, he walked through the halls. Going towards his kingdom now, moving his frame towards the next location. This would end the time for Nozomi, he didn't have time for her. His visit was more to ascertain what danger she would be, Nozomi has found what she sought. Though he didn't write off the chances of her bringing the Quincy back into what they had before. But he expected that the woman only desired what was best for them.
