Crowded streets, loud noises, and lots of people. Nothing described the outskirts of Karakura town on an sunny late afternoon. Among the many souls that wandered this area and called it home was one Alaster Sharpe, a rouge shinigami who found Karakura town the perfect place to seek refuge and as a prime location for training, especially with the high concentration of hollows.

One this particular day the blonde, oddly dressed, and enthusiastic shinigami found himself in the middle of a hollow sandwich. Alaster was surrounded by four standard hollows, nothing he couldn’t handle, sadly these mindless beasts didn’t know what they were getting themselves into. In almost one single motion all but on of the hollows met their end, and now only one stood face to face with Alaster.

“looks like your lucky day” said the shinigami in a cocky tone. The hollow obviously oblivious to what it’s lunch had said to it. As the hollow lunged through the air, Alaster pointed his blade at the foul creature and a single beam of white light extended out from it, blowing a nice clean hole through the batlike mask of the hollow. “so much for a challenge.”

Sheathing his sword the young shinigami turned to find something more interesting to do, training was beginning to get to him and now he sought out something better to do.

Urufu Azathoth

Hollows were so utterly boring. All they did was destroy mindlessly, no sense of direction or purpose in their chaotic actions. For beings so masterfully crafted, why couldn't they have been given an iota of intelligence? Sitting in the shade of a tall building, Urufu cooled his back from the sun's powerful rays on the cool steel, which easily seeped through the fabric of his white cloak. On his lap laid his sheathed sword, Kaze O Han'ei Shite. Housing the spirit of Shiro, his sword was an excellent companion. Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind whipped up out of nowhere, causing Urufu's blond spikes to fall from atop his head, only to curtain his purple eyes. Amused, he watched the shinigami make short work of the hollows, his utter enjoyment only briefly paused when he watched the glorious blood of the hollow spill and evaporate. He seems remotely powerful. Shiro commented dryly, a brief observation Nah... Hollow are nothing nowaday. If it were 4 demon, on the other hand, then he might have been worth my time. Urufu laughed, the comment causing Shiro to smirk as well.

Nonetheless... I know you are getting hungry. Why not... go eat? For one that found Urufu's eating habits odd and slightly sick, Shiro certainly knew how to put things into perspective. How should we go about this... assassination or berserker? Urufu asked telepathically, resulting in another smirk from Shiro. The more you use my powers, the easier it will be to unlock them. Well that settled it. He would use Kaze O Han'ei Shite. Reaching towards the hilt of the katana, he grabbed the sheath with his left hand. His right was used as balance while he pushed himself onto his feet. Strapping the scabbard to his back, he made sure it was tightly secured. Drawing the sword, he heard Shiro give a sarcastic "first breath of fresh air". Rolling his eyes, he released the seal on the blade that kept it at regular katana size.

The sword grew immensely. Now the blade neared 7 feet tall, having a 2 foot width at it's widest point. A tuft of fur appeared to surround the hilt, hiding it from view. Taking several steps forward, he held the massive sword casually with one hand. Lifting it straight up into the air, Urufu's white reiatsu condensed with wind around the blade, swirling like an incredibly slow tornado. Allowing the blade to fall with a minor swing of his shoulder, the wind and reiatsu shot forward, combining together into a large arc, aimed straight for Alaster with a ferocious lethality.

As the shinigami waltzed down the road he had previously called a battlefield, he was oblivious to the storm brewing behind him, that was to say he hadn’t noticed the spike in Reiatsu till the person behind him had nearly finished forming their attack. Alaster glanced over his shoulder to see the source of this power and went wide eyed as he saw the blade coming down, almost as if it was in slow motion, well at least it felt that way to Alaster who, thinking quickly, dropped to one knee and rolled out of the way of the wave of energy fired at him from behind.

“that’s a pretty sneaky thing you did just now.” he said with a smirk. Alaster reached up to the handle of his zanpakutou Michael which was hanging across his back and drew it. “your pretty strong, I can tell. Show them your righteous wrath.” his words were spoken in a calm tone but what happened next was anything but calm as the blade of his sword was encased in a holy white flame.

Since the person standing before Alaster had taken the liberty of attack first, Alaster only saw it fit to return the favor. With an aggressive swing the flames surrounding the blade shot out at the young man in a crescent shaped wave.

Grinning from the comment, Urufu shrugged. His technique had been angled to slide up into the air, dispersing itself of energy and disappearing into the atmosphere, harming none. Holding it over his shoulders, Urufu waited for the burst of fire to get close enough before he pumped the exact same amount of energy that the fire used into his sword. Slashing, he struck the burst of fire dead on. This was the second enchantment attached to Kaze O Han'ei Shite. The slash did not only stop the attack from striking Urufu, but also sent ricocheting back towards Alaster himself, a second slash adding another wind scar onto that. The three techniques were draining, to say the least, but Urufu was nowhere near tired. "Not bad." He murmured, swinging his sword up onto his shoulders. "Not bad at all." And then he disappeared. When Urufu was holding his sword, he was capable of using the shinigami technique known as Shunpo. Arriving directly in front of Alaster mid-slash, his blade whistled through the air.

Yes. Use me. Shiro whispered in Urufu's head, causing the vampiric boy to laugh ferociously. Oh don't worry, I will.

As Alaster’s swing ended, he didn’t want to take the time to leave his new foe an opening so rather than standing still at the end of the swing Alaster ran to one side watching as the person before him redirected the wave back at Alaster. *lucky me* he thought as he watched the wave sail behind him, it was then that his eyes shifted to where he thought the person was and before he knew it, he found himself using a shunpo of his own.

This guy is full of luck some would say as Alaster barely managed to escape being cut in half. “Your pretty good. But you’re not a shinigami are you?” Alaster’s voice was calm, he had sensed the spiritual energy from this kid and could tell he wasn’t a soul reaper, but if that was the case then why did the kid posses shinigami-like powers?

Swiveling on the balls of his feet slowly, Urufu swung Kaze O Han'ei Shite onto his shoulders. "Nope. I'm Human." He chuckled, his violet eyes cast calmly over Alaster. The sunlight pierced through thin clouds, causing the white veil above to appear to be on fire. This reflected in the pits of Urufu's violet eyes. "You're dodging isn't too shabby either. But let's see what you can really do with that flaming stick of yours." He grinned, pointing towards the zanpakuto with his over-sized sword. His hand gripped tightly around it, it was easy to see how long his claws were, despite the puff of fur that was stuck on the hilt. "You know what... I'll even give you a greater chance of hitting me." Making a production of lodging his feet against the ground, Urufu pushed Kaze O Han'ei Shite onto his shoulders again. The claws on his bare feet were visible below the rim of his long white cloak as they scraped along the ground gently. "Alright, what do you got?"

Alaster looked at his sword that rested in his right hand, the blade slightly hovering above the ground “did you hear that Michael. This guy called you a stick.” the flames around the blade flickered a bit as if acknowledging what Alsater had said. *show off* thought Alaster as the kid said he would give Alaster a chance to hit him. The shinigami studied the human from head to toe, he seemed Farrell, with animalistic features.

“you asked for it” Alaster then held his sword sideways in front of his face, the blade pointing off to the side. Alaster then placed his hand to the blade and smirked “I’d but on a pair of shades if I were you” as Alaster finished speaking, a bright blinding light filled the area, hopefully catching the kid off guard and blurring his vision. Alaster then immediately after pointed his blade at the kid and a beam of piercing light shot from the tip, aimed right for the kids shoulder the his sword was so comfortably rested on.

Getting sunglasses was for casuals. The moment the sword was pointed at Urufu, he swapped the blade from behind his head to in front of it, acting as a massive barrier from the light. The reason he did this was simple. He thought he was protecting his head from a blast of fire, ad not light. It was a simple coincidence. When he felt his body wasn't burning, he slid the blade down just in time to look at Alaster shoot the beam of light. Pivoting on his heels, he smirked. "Not bad. Listen man, I have to go. Come see me sometime. The name is Urufu Azathoth. I live in the forest over yonder." Pointing towards the direction of the forest, he sealed his sword and sheathed it. "Catch you around." Turning, he scampered up the building and disappeared over the edge of the roof, building-hopping.
