It had been one month since she had come to the island, and the young looking human sat atop a small hill to watch over the work she had done during this time. The remnant radiation had long ago been dealt with, plants flourishing in the environment. Brushing her vibrant blue hair away from her eyes, she marveled at what she had accomplished. It certainly wasn’t what she had thought would happen when she had started cleaning out her uncle’s attic. To find a book detailing an island he had protected and trained himself on, it was amazing. It was this book that had led Samantha Astraly to leave Karakura on her own and travel to this island. That was how she found out the secret her uncle had kept, the reason this island was so important to him and the reason he had bothered to create powerful wards around the island to stop others from coming here. The island itself sat upon multiple ley lines! Ley lines, strings of spiritual energy trapped within the earth itself, were extremely important for those like her. To create wards one must bind them to a ley line, and so long as the caster lives the ley line will maintain the ward.

Her arrival had her finding that her uncle’s wards had fallen, and she had not nearly the skill and dexterity with her own powers to reassemble his wards. Thus she only created a simple proximity alarm, a ward to let her know if anyone arrived upon the island. That moment, as she sat upon the rocky area, the ringing in her head started, the proximity alarm had been tripped by someone. Picking up the staff of wood that served as her walking stick, Samantha pulled the pendant out from beneath her tattered dress and pushed her hand against a nearby tree. With a surge of power the tree became alive, and with her clinging to it, the plant rose from the ground and trundled off in the direction of the beach. The roots of the tree propelling it along at speeds far faster then what Samantha could have hoped to achieve on her own two feet, and it was not long before they reached the edge of the foliage. It was here that she noticed the boat that had landed on the beach, her hand going straight to the beaded pouch on her hip, feeling peace at the presence of the well worn stones that lay within it.

As the tree replanted itself Samantha chose to walk out from the tree line, her dark blue eyes instantly taking in the humans who were there. Speaking up, her voice guarded and cautious, she hoped the men would answer her words in a positive way.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?”

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Of course it is. Are YOU going to question beholder's artistic sense?"
