╔Under╬Wraps╗

Seeing that oh so familiar grin of Sagumi's after her kiss caused a sense of relaxation through Sidera's form. It seemed no matter their actions that nothing would change. She wasn't sure if it was because of her powers or not, but such didn't bother her. If anything, it made her feel all the more comfort. Sidera's head found it's way to Sagumi's chest, nestled in close and comfortably as she felt Sami's figure begin to move. As he leaped through the mountain with such comfort to him, his every movement seeming calculated at least three jumps ahead as they traveled, was even more comforting to the young woman. In all her time traveling, she had never met a human with such control and strength yet at the same time seemed to be so clouded in his head. However, she wasn't going to let him know just how much she saw. The young calculative creature just enjoyed the ride as they moved.

Wind whistling delicately past the two as she enjoyed the passing sights until soon, her eyelids found themselves closed. The feel of their forms leaping through the mountain pass and the soft thudding of the man's heart in his chest was relaxing and she couldn't explain it enough. For so long, Sidera had been traveling and searching in a constant panic that she had nothing left. She hadn't remained still and secure. She was always out trying to find her sister. Even as a child she manipulated others to do as she wished so she could have what she needed in order to search for Aceldama. Now that she had her sister back, she wasn't going to let go. However, what was there for her to do now? Protect Acel? Of course, but she was an adult just as much as Sidera, she didn't absolutely need her big sister's protection, especially not after centuries of taking care of herself. These thoughts continued in Sidera's mind for a moment before she noticed a slight change in the scent around them. Her eyes opening once more as she noticed the ruins quickly coming into view before them. Her bright eyes shifting upwards to glance at Sagumi quickly, taking note of how he moved, how his eyes reacted to the things which passed them until they had finally reached their destination. Once there, the feel of broken and slightly dirt-covered brick or clay was under her feet. Her heels were open and made of straps, so the feel of the dirt particles over her foot, dancing as the wind past, was felt with ease, but didn't bother the woman in the slightest. After all, she was quickly distracted by Sagumi speaking about a story. It had been so very long since she was told one, the last person to tell her stories being her mother. Thus, he could see the excitement in her gaze as she stepped forward, taking the male's hand as she began walking through the ruins.

"I haven't, but I'd love for you to tell me."

Sagumi flashed her another one of those wild and happy grins as she hurriedly moved forward and took his hand in hers, he loved how excited she seemed to get over the simplest things...though perhaps the story itself wasn't so simple. The story of Krishna and Indra, that you would see told in many Hindu tales, wasn't necessarily the one that happened. Sagumi was Krishna, or at least the person they imprinted the concept of Krishna upon at a later date, though Sidera didn't necessarily need to know that. Explaining that he wasn't just twenty three years old and entirely human was a long discussion and trying to explain to her that, as a being not of this dimension, he did not really follow the rules of their world. When Sagumi died, he didn't enter their circle of death and rebirth with Soul Society, he existed outside that cycle...a fact that haunted him on a consistent basis. There wasn't anything he could do though, he had searched for a long time for a way to end his existence and found nothing, it'd been rather frustrating.

"Long ago, in the town that once stood here, Vrindavan, lived a boy by the name of Krishna. When he awoke one morning, there was mass commotion out on the streets. He figured there was a festival he had forgotten about or someone was getting married and no one had bothered to inform him. So out Krishna went to find his father, whom he questioned about the activity. He was told, due to the bountiful rain they had received and the good fortune that had been wrought from it, they were celebrating and worshipping Lord Indra, the God of the Clouds. Krishna was disappointed at his fathers words, and hastily questioned whether or not Lord Indra truly was their benefactor. When pressed, Krishna exclaimed that the mountain, Govardhan, was their true ally. He explained how the mountain sent the signals to the sky to form the rain clouds, and that Govardhan provided their magic medicinal herbs, how clean water fell from its peaks and how it gave the cows good grass from which to graze from. If they were to worship something, it should be the mountain."

Sagumi had motioned toward the mountain looming nearby, the one that had once been known as Govardhan. Of course, the actual story was a little bit different than the reality. Sagumi had never really accepted the existence of "Gods." Even after knowing the truly monstrous creatures that did inhabit this world, he would never prescribe divinity on to them. They weren't gods, they were just immeasurably powerful. There was nothing with divine power, nothing that was a god, nothing Sagumi would accept as one anyway and back then it was no different. The story that was told in the Hindu mythology was lacking a considerable amount of sarcasm and snark. Cynicism was a relatively new widespread human phenomenon, back then people were far more willing to believe the ridiculous, so when Sagumi told his birth father, approximately his seventh by then, that he should worship the mountain if anything, he took it literally. Humans were pretty naive on this plane. Unfortunately, the freak occurrence that happened almost immediately afterward didn't do much to change their viewpoint.

"So when the people began to worship The Mountain instead of Indra, the God of the Clouds became infuriated. He summoned a furious and ominous army of clouds and set them upon Vrindavan, seeking to erase the village under a torrent of rain and lightning. The storm raged and the villagers blamed themselves for their affront to Indra. Then Krishna stood up and announced his presence to the God and in a demonstration of his power as the incarnation of the Almighty Vishnu, Krishna pointed his finger at the mountain and lifted it in to the sky. Indra was confused as to how a child held so much power and Brahma, the God of Creation, came before him, and explained what young Krishna was. Indra, penitent for his affront against an incarnation of Vishnu, caused the clouds to rain rose petals upon the villagers, bowing down to Krishna."

Of course, in reality, Sagumi had always showcased an obnoxious amount of strength for a human being and when the storm threatened to destroy the village, Sagumi had scaled the mountain in a single bound and used his abilities to disperse the clouds, and altering the wind currents, saving the village from nature itself. Of course, stating that a man was strong enough to shake the clouds did not really serve their cause as far as a religion was concerned, so that was glossed over in favor of young Sagumi lifting the mountain with naught but a finger, but that was a tale he didn't really mind persisting.

"So, the villagers screamed, "Long Live Lord Krishna!" and it is said that the echoes of that glorious chant resound to this very day."

Taking hold of his hand was something that was firm but delicate. He could feel the protective nature of the woman with ease now. With all the contact that they have had up to this point, Sagumi had to be at least 25-30% influenced by the Prolixi. However, she wasn't completely sure if she was okay with that. Was he so happy and playful and adventurous with her just because of what she does to him through her powers? As much as she didn't want to think someone would get close to her just because of her powers, it still was a high possibility. Then the thought of him came into her mind. Flynn, the man that risked it all just to save her. Was he the same way? Was he only willing to die at her hands to save her because of the parasite which she sent into him on every single encounter they had? Every hold of a hand, every kiss. However, the thoughts quickly left her head as she phased back into Sagumi's story. Her expression hadn't changed from the joy and playful nature she always had before others. The mask remaining perfectly as per usual. Her bright eyes meeting Sagumi's for a quick glimpse before returning to look around the ruins of a lost civilization. As Sagumi's story ended, the woman turned her head back to the man with a questioning gaze.

"Would the people not have expected that Krishna was actually a being from another world or possibly just a mutant freak like me and Cel? I mean... With such powers, he obviously wasn't human. I don't really believe in there being gods... Just being from other world, realms and origins that hold powers greater than most men and in a primitive stage were just worshiped out of fear and worry of the common human. Same thing with old stories and mythological creatures. They all exist just their stories are swayed to have more magical and 'godly' properties." The woman laughed softly as she had switched her gaze to look art the sky while she spoke of gods. The bright moon above had always kept her so sane and calm, made her feel like she wasn't alone even when Solomon went out for his own meals. It was because no matter what, she knew Acel was under the same sky and they both would look at the same moon, no matter where they were in the world. No 'god' would stop them from being together and she'd make sure of it.

Her grasp on his hand tightened slightly as she turned to Sagumi with excitement. He could see her guard was lowering as she seemed much more open to speak and show slight more signs of her true intellect. Her smile was warm and bright, reflecting the sweet glow of moonlight.

"Tell me more about this town. I want to learn it all!"

Her concerns were, well, a little unfounded. While Sagumi was no mind reader and couldn't actually see the thoughts coursing through her brain, a little self reflection and she would remember that he was always playful and adventurous, her ability was having a minute effect, if one at all, at this juncture. The man was beginning to feel differently toward her though, in a way he wasn't sure if he should, but that was merely another experiment to test, just what was that creeping sensation coursing through him. Sagumi's grin widened further as she spoke of what Krishna may or may not have been. She wasn't necessarily wrong, Krishna was something of a mutant freak, but Sagumi wouldn't have coined his own personage in that fashion. It begged an interesting question though. He had no idea if Aceldama had elaborated on their first encounter at all, but Sidera had in fact seen his speed, had in fact seen his strength, and she knew, at the very least, he was capable of dropping a building on her little sister's head.

"So then, am I obviously not human?"

It was a strangely pointed question and Sagumi was sure that Sidera wouldn't understand why, she couldn't understand why, but Sagumi was oft to grapple with the nature of his existence. He was human, but classifying himself as such in this world was perhaps inaccurate. He didn't follow the human cycle, he wasn't reborn in Soul Society, he definitely didn't fit all of the qualifications of a Human in this realm and he just barely fit the ones that he did. At the same time though, he did identify himself as a human being and it was something he did take great pride in. It made the moral and philosophical conundrum of what exactly he was all the more tiresome and confusing for him and it was a a question that lingered on his mind in almost all things. She wasn't necessarily wrong though, Sagumi was not of this world, not at all, yet he still identified as a human being, making her bother right about Krishna's origin and wrong at the same time.

"Humans don't always seek the truth, some times they can't simply because they aren't ready to handle the reality as a collective. They will latch on to an idea and fully instill that idea as a reality. It is a weakness, but it's also a source of rather impressive strength. To be able to throw yourself completely in to a belief, to embrace something with such fervent desire and affection, regardless of how ridiculous a notion it may seem is something to be admired I feel. No other species I've met has been prone to make such leaps of faith and the humans, I believe, are stronger for it."

The smile was brought back to his face as her grip tightened on his hand. It wasn't painful, but the pressure was still a bit odd, but he understood just how excited she was and he was getting rather accustomed to being in her hand. So he gently pulled her along as she walked through the ruins of Vrindavan, pointing out everything he could remember from a millennium long since past, which was surprisingly a lot. He showed her the ruins of both the Balarama and the Madan Mohan temples, or at least what was left of them, and even showed her the only building still standing, the Prem Mandir. Sagumi was hesitant to pull her with him in to the building, remembering, in part, what this building had been dedicated to. He pulled her along anyway though, trying his best to not showcase any distress. It did not take long to find to find the shrine inside he building, and a soft, almost sad smile came to his lips.

"This is where...this is where Krishna met Radha."

His question took the woman off guard for a moment. Until now, she never really thought of him as not being human. However, Sagumi's strength and energies were absolutely not those of a normal human at all. Her eyes shifted to look up at the man taking in his features as she seemed to slightly analyze but it was quickly brushed off as she glanced away. A small pout coming to her lips as she tried to think, however that pouting ended as she spoke softly to him.

"No. You're not...? Sort of. You have to be one of them to want them to control this world again and to know so much about them and just... It would make most sense. However you're not normal to say the least. Your movements, your body structure, your way of acting when you are in a state of being comfortable, like now, all are very different from most humans. That and you're not-" Sidera stopped abruptly as she realized what she was about to bring up next, shaking her head a bit and scanning her mind for a cover up. Her eyes shifting back up to the man as she smiled at him.

"You're not nearly as well... Basic. If that makes sense." She laughed faintly as they walked and she enjoyed him telling her about the land around them. It was all incredibly fascinating but one question kept in her head. How did he know all of this? He was going into such detail about the land that any normal human couldn't do since this was a lost civilization that had fallen centuries ago. Such was for another time, maybe. She wasn't sure exactly how to go about her questions to the man. But for now, she wanted to enjoy the moments with him as they explored and he told her the stories he could. As he brought her to the shrine, Sidera glanced around, not really looking at Sagumi for a moment. Though it has fallen and was in slight ruin, she could easily use her imagination to rebuild the structure in her mind. As they moved inside, she peaked at the man and smiled however, his tone seemed to shift. Her eyes looking at him with a slight curiosity before nodding.

"Who was Radha?"

Sagumi would not revisit the idea of his difference from humans, at least not externally. Internally however, her words had provoked quite a bit of thought. He chose to note and ultimately ignore how abruptly she stopped herself from continuing her thought process, usually an indication that what she actually wanted to say was considerably less politically correct than what she allowed herself to vocalize. Sagumi's attention was more on the fact that she didn't think he was human. He wasn't sure if she didn't think he wasn't human because of what he was compared to any other human on the planet or just her uninformed experiences with the human race in general. It was pretty incredible that in the entire time they've been alive that they've, not once, run in to a human who could kill them...especially given how adept Aceldama was at combat. He had no idea if Sidera was more accomplished and less...well...uninspiring. Sagumi was human biologically though, regardless of how basic the other humans were. But his existence broke so many rules of humanity, a reality that had nothing to do with his strength or abilities, and it constantly made him believe he was anything but human.

That wasn't pertinent to moving their story along though, not at all. Her latest words, a question that was incredibly simple yet incredibly complicated all at the same time. Sagumi paused for a moment, his mind trailing back to memories from ages past as he recalled them explicitly. Radha was special to him, in a way that very few others had ever been. Their relationship was a little more mundane than the Hindu, specifically the Vrindivarian, legends would have their adherents believe, but that didn't really make it less special. Sagumi reached a hand forward, gently running his finger tips along the edge of the effigy as the memories cascading through his mind came to conclusion. Sagumi turned back to Sidera, noting the curiosity gleaming in her eyes at who Radha was. He supposed that made sense. She was a woman and women, in general, tended to be fascinated by stories like this. No one accused Sagumi of being immune to sexism. A soft chuckle escaped him as he looked back at the effigy, recalling they told about his story.

"Radha was a Gopi in the village of Vrindavan, a Cow-Herd. Supposedly remarkably beautiful but I'm not sure anyone who ever draws the affection of a God is ugly in any mythology. She was Krishna's first love and many documents detail them playing as children, granted Radha was twelve years older than Krishna and he was the embodiment of a god so "Children" is a little bit suspect as far as maturity is concerned. In fact many people believe Radha to be an even more important deity than Krishna himself, often claiming the "Krishna enchanted the universe, Radha enchanted Krishna." Vrindavan, the place where they both were born, often venerates the two of them together which is what this temple was dedicated to. Immortalizing and deifying their love."

╔Under╬Wraps╗
In all honesty, Sidera didn’t expect this to all turn into a romance story. The names Krishna and Radha both sounding like feminine names, so in all honesty, it could have been just about anything that these two people were linked in. The fighting of Gods sounded more and more enticing by the second. However, that wasn’t the story Sidera got. Instead she heard of childhood friends that become lovers. A god and a cow-herder. To her, this just sounded like more twisted love mythology. Such a thing like ‘Love’ was an odd thing to Sidera. Her eyes glancing around the temple as she pieced things back together. Her hand slowly releasing Sagumi’s as she stepped towards the nearest wall, her fingertips tracing lightly over the dirtied ruin as she seemed to slowly piece the building together in her head. She wasn’t exactly turning out Sagumi’s words but she wasn’t too intent on hearing a love story of gods and so on. Her gaze shifted back over to Sagumi as she blinked for a moment. A flash of Flynn’s form appeared before her before being blinked away. Upon such, the female’s lips lost their smile and her gaze seemed to freeze. However such didn’t last long as she shook her head and gave a soft laugh.

“And so the god fell in love with the Cow-Herder, huh? I’m not going to lie, that’s a pretty cheesy fairytale. I mean... Yeah, it could happen. It happens more often than people would think but it normally ends in heartache. Or something tragic will happen like the god living much longer than the cow-herder. That is, unless he found some magical way to make her into a god like him, or she was like him all along. It’s pretty predictable, don’t you think? In all honesty, I can’t stand such tales. Not everyone gets a dumb happy ending and it sucks to put that hope into people.” The woman shrugged her shoulders as she looked away from Sagumi, trying to wipe the smile she had seen from her memory, attempting to clear Flynn from her mind for the time being before looking over at Sagumi once more.

“Not that I don’t want you to keep telling me about this land! I just... I’m not one for love stories...” She quickly clarified this to the man as she rubbed the back of her head and bit her bottom lip. Her gaze seemed a bit apologetic about the situation she had just felt she caused. She didn’t mean to make things awkward and she sure as hell didn’t want Sagumi thinking she was just going to push him away because of it. A sigh left her lips as she walked over to the man and took his hand once more and got up onto her tip-toes. She pressed her lips to his in a soft peck before flattening her feet once more and smiling at the male.

"Tell me more about what you know?"

"That's true, there's very rarely, if ever, a happy ending. It's why this isn't really a love story. Outside of Vrindavan, none of the other cities or towns really worship Radha. Half don't even acknowledge that she existed. Krishna had many more "important" wives over the course of his life that are more widely worshipped. In fact, Radha and Krishna never actually married, a point of fact that was rather essential for people at this time period. Love wasn't what was really described here."

Sagumi's words weren't harshly toned, he didn't even seem to be showing any emotion as she scorned the story of Radha. It was fair, of course. For something to become cheesy and cliche it needed to be reused, mythology in general tended to be glorified for the sake of propping up the divine and the longer a story is passed down, the more and more sick of it people will become. That was how anything became cliched in the first place and while she was not wrong, the story was rather cliche, it was odd for Sagumi to heard it called such. It was hard to process that a story the you yourself lived could be cliche. It was even weirder to think that a cliche existed BECAUSE of a story you lived. It was hard to suppress the chuckle that was so dangerously threatening to escape from him at the thought. Though he didn't agree with her, specifically with the notion that hope was a weakness, that hope was something "sucky" to implant in to people.

He turned to begin to argue that point as her lips quickly intercepted his speech about hope and its merits on the human psyche, stifling it and halting it in its tracks before she gently flattened out again before him. The request she made next was both something that was very easy to talk about and simultaneously very difficult. Sagumi could write volumes on what he knew, but that knowledge was not necessarily interesting and it was even less necessarily pertinent to what she wanted to know and, more importantly, what he wanted her to know. Sagumi gently retook her hand in his as he calculated just where to take her, forming the picture in his mind. Love stories, even though this was hardly that, weren't her forte. Perhaps something a little more bloody. Sagumi gently brought her out of the temple and back in to the cool night air and motioned for her to hold on tight to him once more, kicking off in to the darkness again. They didn't have to travel quite as far, though still covering in seconds what a conventional vehicle would require hours to accomplish, but Sagumi quickly brought her to the ruins of Kurukshetra, to the site that had hosted many, many battles. Sagumi gave her a second to orient herself again, traveling at such speeds were a little difficult for even strong beings to process(a normal human would probably have outright died from the exertion) but he had faith in Sidera's durability, before releasing her back on to the ground.

"Vrindavan is really only notable for being Krishna's birthplace...here's where we see Krishna's war, the Kurukshetra War."

╔Under╬Wraps╗

A smile remained on the young vixen's lips as she walked out of the temple beside Sagumi. Her eyes gazed over the land one last time before shifting to climb onto his back. Her fingertips and palms caressing over his shoulders, his collar and upper torso as she coiled her arms around his neck gently to secure herself. Her legs wrapping around the male's waist as she smiled lightly and curled in close before feeling the familiar pressure of the male's movement, just as they had before. Her hands gripping lightly onto his shirt as they moved. Her thoughts traveling over the past few days, her entering Sagumi's home and him taking in herself and her sister to keep an eye on them. To think he went from an enemy to a slight guardian? It was odd to say the least but it didn't continue to plague the woman long as they soon came to a halt.

As they came to a stop, Sidera's mind cleared as she heard the man speak up once more. Her eyes glancing about the area where they had landed as she slowly slipped off of his back. His warmth leaving her as she did such and soon began looking about the open land where there had been a war. The scent of the decay was easy enough for the primal girl to pick up in the earth below their feet. It had been centuries but it was still faint in the still air. Her figure shifting to turn and face Sagumi after taking a few steps into the space.

"Story time?"

Sagumi nodded at her question as his eyes closed, quietly contemplating just what part of this story to tell. She wasn't on Indian descent, so the likelihood of her having read the Mahabharata was even lower than it would be if she was, so she most likely had no idea about the war that took place in this area oh so long ago. He could probably go on a sufficiently long rant about any war that involved Indian people and spare her how miserable this one truly was for him. The humans, in many ways, were his children as much as he was their's, the death and carnage they inflicted upon each other on a constant basis was often far more than he could bear. Like any story however, Sagumi should start at the beginning.

"Most wars in human history were fought for a reason. Someone wanted territory, someone wanted a resource, someone wanted someone else's wife...very rarely were wars fought for naught but murder. The victor at the end of the day wasn't determined by what positions were taken or what resources were achieved. It was measured by body count, whoever had less people willing and able to keep killing people had lost the day. The victor was whoever was still standing. Krishna sought peace of course, heroes outside of Greece usually tried to stay the bloodshed whenever possible. Krishna and his friend, Arjuna, were the two centerpieces of the war. Eighteen days of the sun shining upon blood ensued. Eventually, Krishna and Arjuna, along with his brothers, completely wiped out the opposing force, especially once Krishna got involved to put an end to the fighting."

It was a good thing his eyes were closed, the sadness in them was troubling. He remembered the slaughter as if it were yesterday. Sagumi had never killed so many humans before nor had he since. He had ripped them apart, entirely and completely with his bare hands. It had been a turning point for India. The war left so many widows and orphans that words can barely do the horror justice. The entire country's economy collapsed in eighteen days of brutal slaughter, from his actions. Sagumi let his eyes open and return to Sidera. He hadn't chased that shadow and it was a large part of why he felt so obligated to these creatures called humans. Even if they weren't his means of existence he would feel attached.

"At war's end, the story states only twelve warriors survive. Krishna, a god in human form, being one of the twelve. Only eleven humans walked away from the slaughter out of hundreds of thousands. It was far and away one of the most disgusting things humans had ever done to each other. Had the Hollows, the Arrancar, the Demons not arrived in this plane, who knows how long it'd have taken for the humans to kill themselves."
