Elsewhere in the desert conditions were quickly turning for the worse. Winds had quickly began picking up, soon reaching speeds that had brought to life an incredible sandstorm. Not far from the sandstorm stood a lone figure, attention focused solely on the storm. The figure, after analyzing the storm for several moments, came to a conclusion. No ordinary human would survive the storm raging before him, the few creatures he could see trying to escape the storm were a testament to this. Birds, snakes, hollows, plant-life.. It seemed as if nothing could survive this freak storm, as the sands carried by the wind were moving quick enough to strip flesh from bone. For a few more moments the figure stood there simply watching before vanishing completely.
While watching the raging storm Masakaki's senses had picked up on something that should prove more entertaining than watching a sandstorm. The demon, for that was exactly was Masakaki was, could sense several Hollow dying quite quickly. Upon sensing this an excited gleam appeared within the golden orbs that were Masakaki's eyes. In that instant the demon began moving across the vast desert at speeds that made it seem as if he was using some sort of teleportation to move from dune to dune. Several minutes later the demon would finally come across the area he had sensed the Hollow's dying off.
Upon arriving in the area Maskaki kept his distance for several minutes, watching as what appeared to be a male shinigami fought with a hollow. What caught the demon's interest though was how the hollow was vanquished. If he wasn't mistaken he had watched as the shinigami sank his teeth into the hollow after appearing behind it, before pushing it to the ground. Staying where he was the demon watched for several minutes as the odd shinigami consumed the hollow he had vanquished. Once the shinigami was finished Masakaki began walking forward, at that very moment a strong gust of wind claimed the demon's hat from his head revealing the bright pink hair upon the males head. With a joyful laugh he simply jumped forward, plucking his hat from the air and donning it once again, before landing several feet infront of the shinigami.
"My, my. Quite an odd way for a Shinigami to end a Hollow if I say so myself." It was a simple statement meant more to catch the other males attention than anything else. "Anyway odd tastes aside.. What's a shinigami doing lost in this dreadful place?" The way the pale demon spoke was much like a kid whom was about to learn something new, which in combination with his very animated jumping around, and even.. was that stars in his eyes?.. All in all it really made the demon appear quite childish as he continued hopping around the shinigami awaiting an answer of some sort.

While continuing to jump, bounce, and flip around the lone shinigami he had encountered Masakaki had been contemplating just what to do about the shinigami. The first thing that popped into mind was to simply kill the lone male here and now, leaving his corpse for the hollows in the area to feast upon. Thinking of this option brought a sadistic twinkle to the demons eye, though it was gone as quickly as it came. Option two was to try and pry information from the other male. And finally option three, the one Masakaki already knew he'd probably choose in the end; Go with the flow! During his moments of contemplation the demon had heard the shinigami as he exclaimed his reasoning for being in such a vast desert. 'A hunt huh?' Masakaki thought to himself while his actions began to calm slightly. Then everything stopped as the demon heard the shinigami's next words.
"Oh boy. Oh my. What do I say to that!?" The words were like a soft whisper upon the wind. To anyone whom had heard it would seem as if Masakaki were actually having trouble figuring out how to react to the Shinigami telling him he had a pretty face. Oh the ways he could react. The reactions he could bring forth. The possibilities of how he could handle the situation brought a somewhat crazed grin to Masakaki's face, his golden orbs twinkling with mischievous delight.
With an elegant yet simple spin of the cane that had suddenly appeared in his right hand the demon stepped forward several paces. Upon stopping Masakaki was close enough to the shinigami before him that their noses were merely an inch or so apart. "Flattery shall get you no where good sir for it seems I don't play for the same team, in more way than one if I must say." The mischievous twinkle had now returned to the demon's eyes as he spun on the spot and began walking in the opposite direction. Not even five steps away Masakaki turned slightly, looking over his right shoulder as his cane was brought to rest upon the left. "Now I don't know about you sir, but I for one am sure our meeting could go one of two ways." Golden orbs now looked with the other males eyes as Masakaki continued to speak.
"We, being Shinigami and Demon, could simply fall into our roles, fight, try to capture each other, or even kill each other. Or we could play a game of sorts.." Masakaki spoke with practiced ease, each word spoken with a bit to much cheerfulness behind them. If he had to admit he would prefer if the Shinigami chose to play a game.. He had several ideas for a game.. None of which would be good for the Shinigami, though he needn't know that. "Oh and as to why I'm in this dreadful place.. I went out for a walk and ended up here!" The words were accompanied by Masakaki actually acting out going for a walk, ending with him quite animatedly fanning his arms out to the side as he said 'here'.
For a moment it seemed as if he were finally done talking, before once again his overjoyed voice broke through the desert winds. "And now you have a decision to make good sir! And I shall wait here until you do!" 'Here' was accompanied by a toss of his cane, which sailed several meters into the air before descending back to the desert floor, thus impaling into the ground. By the time he had finished speaking Masakaki had taken to the air, landing upon a single foot on-top of the ornate handle of his cane.

Perched upon the head which served for the handle of his cane Masakaki watched with slight interest as the Shinigami's facial features shifted several times whilst thinking. Gaze remaining steady the demon's interest was further peaked when the shinigami surged a fair amount of reiatsu into his weapon, causing said weapon to not only grow larger, in addition to extending odd tentacles up and around the male's arm. While interested this had caused the demon to become slightly more cautious, for he was sure he had heard about something similar to what was just witnessed, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it. It was only after the tentacles had made their way up the shinigami's arm when he spoke once again. "My dear sir, I will need to reject your offer to play!" The words were accompanied by a quick bow before making a move.
Watching carefully as the shinigami thrust his blade into the sand before him Masakaki simply responded with a mirthful chuckle. Even as the sand between the two began converting into water the demon continued chuckling. When his cane began to sink due to the sand around it becoming water the demon's chuckling had yet to halt. Finally when the shinigami himself sunk into the waters that had formed Masakaki's mirthful chuckle slowly became more sinister, yet managed to contain that same amusement from before. Even while he continued to sink towards the waters that had been created Masakaki's previous cautiousness had been overcome by the joyful prospect of playing one of the many games he had in mind.
"Well now! This is quite an interesting ability Mr.Shinigami!" The demon's words were punctuated by him suddenly flipping forward, grabbing his cane and tossing into the air, all in the same moment. Whilst both cane and demon sailed through the air his voice broke through the desert winds once again. "You say you reject my offer, yet here we are playing hid and seek are we not?" The demon question with childish glee. By the time he had finished speaking his cane had punctured the ground several feet outside of the forming water, and the demon himself had once again landed upon it.
"Let the game begin!" This statement was accompanied not one, but two distinct energies surging forth from Masakaki's position. The first energy, Za Koa, would continue spreading until it had went beyond the area Cogimo had converted into water. The second surge was more of an aura than actual energy, but was still just as threatening to the shinigami, something that would quickly become evident. While the surge of Za Koa halted just beyond Cogimo's water the surge of what Masakaki called his Madness Aura continued on even further. This surge of madness would affect any being it came across, unless they possessed superb willpower.
As Masakaki allowed his madness to spread a content smile formed upon his pale face. Despite being in such a horrid environment the demon now felt at home as both madness and Za Koa spread throughout the area. Closing his eyes the demon's smile remained as he allowed himself to feel the influence his Za Koa was having upon the desert. Upon doing this the demon could feel Cogimo's reiatsu throughout the entirety of the water, for now he couldn't sense Cogimo himself though that would change if the shinigami further utilized his reiatsu. Eye opening the demon's gaze fell upon the waters as he simply allowed himself to bathe in the energy that was Za Koa. For now he would await Cogimo's next move, after-all time was on Masakaki's side now.
