Inside a beautiful and rustic mansion hidden deep in the wilderness echoes of sizzling chicken and bubbling of boiling water slowly cooking homemade pasta could be heard. With its vast and older interior the mansion held one man who was preparing to begin what he deemed to be his life’s mission. With an overflowing joy Augustine passionately cooked away for hours at his Grandfather’s favorite dishes. Though he had died the lessons that his Grandfather had taught him were going to be the tools which he would use to reconstruct his family’s legacy and begin his own path of self-discovery that he hoped would lead to reaching each in every goal within his heart. He laid out and systematically, but passionately arranged dishes all of which were very Old Italian homeland recipes. From a classic lasagna to a crispy and flavorful pizza topped with mozzarella, homemade marinara and various fresh ingredients that perfumed the entire kitchen and would entice any tongue to immediately salivate. Once he had laid out his 7 favorite dishes upon a large and sturdy hand carved wooden table with the words “Zanna Nara” carved into the few inch outside rim once along each side. The table was obviously meant to hold others as well, but until his dream was realized it would not. Now showing a true trait of his family he then spent the next hour easily eating each and every meal, big and small. Though it was interesting to see him eat enough for 10 he had always had a deep stomach and no one knew where it all went. The finale of the nostalgic feast was a glass of wine from a group of wines made by his Ancestors centuries ago. He poured a small portion into a delicate glass which he had only used for this specific wine and right as picked the glass up and began reaching it up to his lips a ring came from his computer terminal in the room opposite to his. He knew it’d be a disgrace to drink the wine in a hurry so he let it air out while he walked into the other room and looked at all the fuss was about.
After a few seconds of typing and searching his eyes cracked wide open as he gazed upon images of an alternate universe spreading through the world like a hideous infection. Worse than any human plague known he witnessed a darkness that not only threatened the very existence of the earth, but threatened to end his plans all together. Gazing upon it a flood of emotions and thoughts swarmed him.
“What could this mean for the world?”
“Who could be behind this?”
“What should I do now?”
Every thought tactically assault his mind as he tried his best look through them and figure out what to do next. He then remembered something his grandpa used to tell him and he frustratingly attempted to figure out his powers and how to control them especially in life or death situations.
“Your worst enemy isn’t a person or thing. Your worst enemy will always be yourself, and in order to tame yourself you need to be tirelessly vigilant and strong. You have to be able to hand pick thoughts that may poison you or lead you astray and crush them. Thoughts of fear, doubt and hate will only make your death that much more certain.”
With that in mind as he did when he was a child he closed his eyes slowly lets in a massive breath through his nose then let it out through his mouth slowly. He continued this and it allowed him to take every single thought of death captive and destroy them in their entirety with truth. As he opened his eyes a large smile proceeded to grow across his face, because this, well whatever it is, was the perfect opportunity for the comeback of the Zanna Nara Mafia and the first and best opportunity for him to recruit his first Scuni Benedetti. The core group of people who would help him build a new Zanna Nara Mafia from the ground up. A group of companions that he would be able to cherish, protect and grow with. This thought lit him of fire as he furiously typed into the terminal he prepared the mansion for stealth and hibernation as he went out. He had no idea how long this was going to take him, but it didn’t matter because it was the most fortunate thing that could happen to him.
Making the finishing touches on his computer terminal it shut down and he stood up from his computer chair and walked back into the room he had ate his feast in. He had an unruly and crazy spirit within him now. His passion was lit and he was absolutely ready for whatever he would have to face, and with the power of the Zanna fire within him he wasn’t backing down from anything. He reached for the perfect and ready glass of old and dark red wine and slowly sipped it down tell it was gone. He then cleaned each and every dish because they all meant so much to him and as soon as he put them away he walked into his room and opened the special suitcase his grandfather had given him which with a few other things held his Grandfather’s Mafia suit attire with a silk white scarf a classic black designer suit and a black hat which was tailored and fit him perfectly. With this suit he had a gigantic destiny to fulfill and a long future ahead but nothing too daunting for the young man who survived hell and was raised by one of the wisest men this world would ever know. At least that was the old man’s opinion.
Augustine left the mansion as it began to go into stealth mode and then knelt down.
“Grandfather this is where we begin”
A small burst of constant fire began to shoot from the bottom of his and continuously built up tell he launched himself into the air and flew out of the forested area. Like a shooting star across the sky he flew to the closest city with a teleporter and took it to the closest city to infection of this world. He was implored by staff and locals that it was insane to travel there now and they didn’t even know if anyone was still alive in the city which he was about to travel to, but it still did not faze him at all. So he teleported to the closest city and to his surprise he wasn’t met with a city of ordinary people, but they had all be evacuated and the beings known as Iramasha had flood the area and began to put in their own work. It was obvious they were more informed and had a specific goal, but he wasn’t gonna let them have all the fun. Crouching like before he shot into the sky and shot into the air like a bullet. Surveying the area as he got closer to the alternate dimension entrance he started to notice these odd being beginning to “feed” or “takeover” ones that he would probably call his allies. Though he knew no Iramasha he couldn’t help but feel sympathetic towards them and feel like he needed to help them, and this would give him the perfect chance to test out whatever the hell these things were. With his pointer and middle finger extended on each hand a small concentrated ball of fire lit on each of the and like a sniper from hell he began to shoot inch sized beams through the skull and chests of each and every evil being he could see. Especially aiming at ones that were attempting to kill the Iramasha killing dozens of them as he bolted across the sky.
Barely one hundred feet away from the entrance he was being noticed by many of the Iramasha opposites so as he landed and when he did they were slowly surrounding him and approaching him. He knelt as they began getting closer and closer and within two meter they began to charge at Augustine from all directions. He placed his right palm on the ground and a flash of fire across the ground in all directions for 10 meter and when it reached that distance in nearly a moment the entire area rose in an inferno charring everything within the area to a crisp. With no one and nothing left around him Augustine stood up with a crazy smile upon his face and began his journey within the dimension.
