Subject Post 1Subject: The Moon God Offers Training [OPEN] Mon Oct 12, 2015 10:19 am
"Voi… still not strong enough…"
The blonde haired male muttered, his eyes looking down at the crater below his feet. Lava was beginning to disperse from the bottom of the hole, rising out of the crust as the Moon God stared down into the pit, looking at his hand. From his feet, he was black as night, his flesh having changed colors to be dark as the night around his body. Yet, around his legs you could see something… shining. Around his body, it was as if he had stars that glittered in and out, covering his form. Wisps of dark purple energy dispersed from around his legs, rising up his form. His musclebound torso was similarly changed in its color.
The only difference was the hair that came out of the back of his head. Shining golden blonde, the hair that poured in waves down his back stood as spiky as always. His right hand was open, but his left hand was gripped into a fist, and he was slowly breathing in and out. Around his body, there were no less than sixteen such craters, smoke still rising from some of them. Opening his mouth and tilting back, Moonie released a pulsation of Gravity outwards, pointing his mouth towards the sky.
The lava in each of these pits began to flow out, being dragged out from the earth as it rapidly increased in speed, pouring into the Moon God's mouth as thousands of gallons rose out of the holes, flowin ginto his body as his stomach engorged a tiny amount, before he clenched both of his hands, the lava falling down around his body as parts of it landed on his flesh… where it continued to drip right off.
"Voi… Not NEARLY ENOUGH!" Moonie roared as he threw his left shoulder back, his right fist shooting out as he slammed it directly into his own scapular, his weight dramatically increasing in the arm as he slammed it into his torso, his entire body taking the full force of the impact as his eyes widened from the shock, his teeth gritting as his Chaos Energy shell began to buckle, cracks shooting through his form as he fell downwards, his own fist still slammed firmly into his body as he delivered the full force of the impact directly to his form.
And then, he fell down into the ground. Impacting with the earth, his entire body began to shake as the waves of force which were being released from his impact began rocking his entire body, crashes of pure force rocking him as he pressed into the earth, the earth itself being dragged down with him from the force of his impact, his mouth open and his teeth clenched as he descended.
Crashing through the earth for less than a minute, he suddenly felt liquid. His body slammed through the bottom of the crust, dumping him directly into the lava of the Mantle as his eyes widened, the lava that surrounded him quickly flowing away as the force continued to press down. Moonie watched the ceiling of this peculiar hole as he continued to descend, before he finally turned his body to the side, putting down both of his hands into the ground. "Voi…" He let out, moving his right hand to his chest and slowly withdrawing it as he saw the blood that now cloaked around his hand print.
"Only six… and it's already bleeding…? Voi, what's the point of having armor this weak…?" The male wondered, his head tilting back as he opened his mouth once again…
Reaching his hand out of the pit, Moonie slowly withdrew his body out of the hole, his skin color having turned to normal once again, although his clothing was completely melted away, although the point was rather moot as anything which they would have been required to hide had been completely destroyed from the lava. Not that Moonie could feel that.
"Voi…" The male let out, his body turning around as he slowly sat down, looking at the infinite expanse before him as a desert wind blew past his head, slowly tossing about his head as he breathed in and out, his head tilting back.
"You can come out now." He said, his head turning to the side. "I'm not looking for a fight. I am training. If you wish you join me, then you are welcome to. Voi." He explained, cracking a smile as he enjoyed his rest, his arms shooting out to his sides as he fell back, cracking into the ground with a bit more weight than normal, enough that whoever was around would be able to feel the earth itself shake.
This was the Moon Iramasha, Moonie. But who could these strangers be…?
"Why hello there," James calmly spoke as he released the suppression of his spirit energy. "I can see you're at least powerful enough to detect me. Perhaps I might give this training a try. You most certainly seem powerful" He said, gesturing at the molten lava this man appeared to be ingesting. He had been observing the one listed only as Moonie in the Vanguard database for some time, curious to gain some measurable increase in power. As it stood, however, power could only come from within for James. And who better to teach him then, than the one called the Moon God?
James stepped out into view of the man who was reading off with a power level comparable to that of Lord Hebi. James personally believed it would be moderately to drastically safer to train under this man than the doctor... given The Doctor's... particular manner of augmentation...
James would humbly bow, respecting of a power stronger than his own. Though James was prideful, higher powers had to be respected. It was the way of the world. "That being said, I, much like you, am finding it difficult to make an increase in my power like this. I would be honored if you would train me." It had been quite some time since James last trained underneath someone, but hopefully, this man wouldn't utterly rend him lifeless.
Having read the files on him, it was abundantly clear that tricks and such would only get him ground into a paste at an even more swift rate. The suggested method of action was to simply attack straightforward... but James doubted he could fathom simply "fighting from the heart". James' philosophy in combat was to use one's mind and one's blade in tandem and with equal lethality. This left very little room for 'feeling', as James entire style of combat was based on tricks and the like. But perhaps this was an opportunity to see some change in that.
With the recent increase in power granted by his engrams, James had unlocked a form that threatened to steal his very soul away... But it was powerful, so he yielded. He wanted to train so that he could gain some measure of control in that form, although in the current case, he probably had no choice but to use it anyway. "So, what is it you can offer me? It's unlikely I'm of any challenge to you, but so long as you don't kill me and I don't kill you, I'm fine with any extent of training." James spoke, perhaps a little too calmly for the situation, given the lava consuming beast of a man before him.
"Of course, I'm no stranger to combat, I merely need someone to hone my skills with, as well as strengthen myself to gain new skills. You need only say when."

Subject Post 3Subject: Re: The Moon God Offers Training [OPEN] Mon Oct 19, 2015 9:10 am
Was the only noise that left the mouth of the Moon God, his head turning as he looked over at the man who told him 'hello there'. "Ha…" He laughed, before flicking his nose with a single finger, crushing his pinky finger against his palm. As he did so, waves of pure force shot around the area, firing all about as they then returned back to the Moon Iramasha, his eyes widening and closing. "Resistance… That is my detection, voi. Resistance of faith, of pride, of soul, of body, of mind… unless you can make yourself absolutely nothing, you will fight for some amount of space. As long as you fight for space, I can feel that resistance." Moonie explained, smiling a bit as looked back down at the lava. "Cahahaha… this? It's pretty weak shit." He said in reply, sticking out his tongue at the pool.
"A little bit spicy, but lacking on the whole." Moonie explained, tilting his head as the man bowed, before smirking as he sat down on a rock as it was dragged out of the ground by his Gravity. "Vooooooooi." He let out, looking the man over, before standing straight up. "Voi, fine. But you have to take a single punch from my right arm." Moonie explained, lifting up the arm that was still stained black with his blood.
"And in this, you will discover everything you are missing… I am MJESEC VÕRGUKLIENDID, THE MOON IRAMASHA! VOOOOOOOOOI!"
As the roar left his lips, Moonie's right arm was sailing forwards. A charge of pure force followed in its wake, his mouth open wide in exultation as he thrust his fist directly towards James. A plane of Gravity emerged, striking between Moonie's arm and James' chest, marking James' chest as the target. Moonie's arm changed weights exponentially, becoming hundreds of times heavier as the blow sailed forwards. His whole weight was thrown into the blow, his feet coming off the ground as his head tilted back slightly, still looking James in the eyes as his mouth closed from its bellowing, forming a smile.
In that instant, the blow would attempt to connect. If it did so, James would feel a weight and force unlike any he had ever experienced crashing directly into his torso, attempting to shatter his ribs and even possibly breaking open the skin of his chest, as Moonie's arm followed through, curving his right hook over as he cancelled the wave of Gravity.
James would then proceed to obtain at least Mach 2 as his body was thrown far away from where Moonie impacted him. The amount of air time which he would receive would depend entirely on the amount of resistance with which he met Moonie's attack. The more he resisted it, the harder the impact would crash into him, and the farther that he would fly as a result. Therefore, the more relaxed he was when the impact connected with his body, the more of the blow would be transmitted to his environment, and the less that the total distance would be.
Moonie, for his part, was still standing in the same spot, his fist outstretched. The truth of the matter was that wielding that much power in a single blow had a cost, and that cost was to let it continue its arc. The huge cracks in the ground that had been left from the movement of Moonie's fist in their direction after the loss of James' torso as a center of gravity were plain to see. "Voi…"
Letting out a breath, Moonie drew his arm back up, folding the two of them as his feet slowly began to step forwards. "Do you understand?" He asked, his voice calling out over the plains as he walked away from the devastation. The attack had two purposes. The first was to serve as the lesson that Moonie wanted to give this man who had asked for training. The second was to move them to a more appropriate location, given how the one they had just left was now full of holes.
"Letting your opponent hit you… feeling their strength… Voi, that is the 'Way of the Fist'. But that isn't what you're here for. If you want to become stronger, become closer to your opponents. Feel the heat of battle." With that declaration, Moonie's steps would halt in front of James, who was likely still looking wasted on the ground. Moonie did not expect for the blow to kill the man in the least. In fact, a regular human could have taken that blow and survived. Granted, they would be in extraordinary amounts of pain and likely have several broken ribs, but the human body's ability to take horizontal G's was much greater than its ability to take vertical.
"There are two ways to create strength. Voi… Through the mind, in the cold pursuit of logic. And the other is through heat, through forging. Both are… necessary. But it is simple to tell from the look of a man where he has neglected his training in these two arts. Voi, to put it simply… you have to release your inner feelings of destruction. Such is the basic instinct of a hunter." Moonie explained, dropping down to his knees as he examined the scientist he had sent flying.
"Naturally face those pain signals in your brain. Defy them. Know that you took them directly on and that you can take them. Then, take the pain deep inside, and force it as fuel." Moonie explained, pointing his finger at his head. "Pain is your body's way of saying 'We're good', 'We're still alive', 'You better destroy whatever the hell just did that to us'." Moonie finished, slowly standing again as he put his hand on James' head if he was still on the ground, pulling him up with him as Moonie looked into the man's eyes.
"VOI. FOLLOW THOSE EMOTIONS!" Moonie practically screamed in his face. "YOUR NATURE IS DESTRUCTION, PRESERVATION! FIND IT! REACH IT! DESTROY IT! LET YOUR SOUL SHINE!"
With that declaration, Moonie let his hand drop to his side, before slowly pulling out one finger on either hand. "NOW TAKE THE HIT… AND STRIKE BACK!!" The Moon Iramasha roared, throwing his right finger forwards as the wind roared behind it, smashing it into James' right shoulder… while Moonie would await his counter attack...

Hayden was a calm man for the post part when the situation required it, it’s why he retreated away from all the major citizens to enter into his intense training session far from civilization. Each step on his pilgrimage was another step to escape his hectic life in the citizen as a offical and warrior within the vanguard, granted he got a good amount of action within the city. But from the improvements the rising star had made within the year the forest just wasn’t a suitable training area for him to practise to his fullest anymore at least without alerting or notifying the forces within the area. So he had sent word off that he would taking a vacation to a location of interest which turned out to be the coordinates of this plains. The man had finally arrived to his location able to get the peace he needed to ascend to a higher layer of training… but this was soon stopped as he felt a strong energy source flying directly at him one that felt strange to say the least and a much minor one.
The male moved at a blur as his shunpo activated as he easily was able to cover the large distance within mere seconds stopping a fair distance away from the commotion. Hayden speed was on the higher tier even without his shunpo but with it he could move at such speeds that it was rather strange to fathom it but thats what happened when shinigami focused on both their speed and Hoho something which Hayden planned to perfect soon enough. As he arrived at the location he would see two people but he could feel the energy radiating off the blonde haired one which peaked his interest, a smirk playing on Hayden face wondering if they could feel his spiritual pressure. Most likely granted he had expelled a small amount and wasn’t trying to hid his energy from either of them, yet he stood on a small hill that overlooked the two as he cocked his head. This was a interesting site.
“What’s going on here, looks like you two are having all types of fun.” He expressed dragging out the fun part just a weebit, his voice showing his interest in the two and the event that may have just transpired. “Let me introduce myself, Desmond Hayden Vanguard Operative.” He explained himself as he looked to both of them extending his arms out as his adrenaline began to pump for some reason and with that began the leaking of Death Matter from his body in the air. A natural occurrence for the male due to the way his body operative with the death substance within it, the others may feel a presence similar to death energy if they have been around it but it felt… off in some regards. Then again if they were less experienced with the strange energy they could feel it the energy was sporadic in nature, as if it nipped at their hairs like static but was filled with a vibrant energy which contradicted it’s dark nature.
“What would you lovely gentlemen be doing here, got room for one more measly shinigami?” He asked a slight smile playing on his face as he came off rather relaxed, even the energy that leaked didn’t seem to have a harmful intent more curiosity than anything else. But none the less the energy leaking from his into the air and ground it’s self was well strange.. something if they ever encountered Tora or Wolf they may know of. Strange.
Take a hit? From this guy? Although James had just established terms for the combat, he couldn't help but feel a bit of fear at the thought. Because of this, he tensed up slightly. His overshield was designed to defend against the shock of high strength blows, so he found some measure of comfort in this. Although, what happened next was... Unexpected to say the least. It was almost as though his Overshield couldn't track the strength of the blow, as, even though he did not actively resist, he still found himself flying backwards at a high speed. The blow did not crush his ribs, but it did tear away at the skin on his chest, despite that his 10x steel hypethread was between him and the blow. His ribs were not crushed, but merely cracked. Breaking through trees as he flew swiftly backwards, James could do nothing to react but sharpen the wind behind him with magic-- so as to avoid having his spine crushed when he hit anything. Instead, it would slow his rapid launch down until he could gently float himself to the ground, far from Moonie. As he touched the ground, his knees buckled beneath him. Despite his current level of pain endurance, the initial shock from the attack made him feel it even worse than it should have. Rising slowly to a sitting position, he laughed. His lungs stung from being used so soon after that attack, but regardless, he couldn't help but laugh.
James understood. He understood completely. For his brutish appearance, this man was quite skilled in combat. As he stood above him, James would immediately realize that he sorely misjudged this man's wisdom. James had no "inner feelings of destruction"... he took life where life should be taken. For him it was no more than doing what was necessary to his own ends. There was never anything so personal as that... However, with another burning, stinging laugh he stood. He stood and faced the man once more.
Detecting another Vanguard member nearby from his own Vanguard badge, James, without even needing to actively sense him, craned his neck to look.
Looking back to Moonie, it was clear there was no more time for games. As his blow collided heavily against James' shoulder, almost all of the shock was absorbed this time by his overshield, which was now almost depleted. In that instant, James would throw everything he had into a punch of his own. Directing it towards Moonie's chest to throw off his center of balance, even though it was unlikely it would harm him, the punch itself held enough force to stop a speeding locomotive, so it would no doubt be enough to send him flying backwards at a couple hundred miles per hour. James was at a severe disadvantage in a fight against him, especially considering that fists were not his primary choice of weapon.
Judging from the fact that he was just ingesting magma a few moments ago, this man was not to be trifled with by pulling punches. Looking at Desmond, as Moonie would probably be long gone by now, he raised a single hand in acknowledgement. The energy leaking from this man... his contacts couldn't discern whether it was death energy, as he had seen in demons before, or merely the man's own spiritual energy. "James Caldwell, Vanguard Lord of Whispers. You've managed to pique my interest. If only ASRA were here right now..." he muttered softly. James held a hand out to greet the man. "Well, we're just getting started here, I'm sure you'd have to ask him." He would say, pointing toward Moonie, depending on where he would be at the moment. James clutched his chest with one hand, and rested the other on one knee. "I'm sure he'd love to know there's more of us to assail." James would laugh, again feeling that stinging sensation, but to a somewhat lessened degree now. It was nice to see the Vanguard had others who might be taking an interest in furthering themselves.
Turning back to face Moonie, James would point a single thumb sideways at Hayden. "Well, this man wishes to join us. I say I should have him on my side. Might even things out a bit." James would say, still somewhat bent over from catching his breath. A bit was right. This man was too strong... like an entirely different level than them.

"THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM, RIGHT THERE!" Moonie declared, his right fist smashing into James body as his eyes were wide, letting the intensity absorb him as he roared. "YOUR MUSCLES ARE TAUT! MY BLOW WILL DAMAGE YOU EVEN WORSE NOW!" Moonie declared, before hearing the man's laughter. Voi… am I getting through…? He wondered, continuing forwards with his next attack, Moonie's eyes looking down at James' punch as he smiled wide.
The male let out, as he heard a familiar 'shwup' noise. It was the sound of Shunpo. Each of the high speed movements tended to leave some noise in their wake, and Moonie, being a slow combatant on the whole, had learned to identify each of them. Moonie's gaze turned towards Hayden as the other man began to speak, and in that moment would release the entirety of his battle-lust, the aura hitting Hayden like a train and if his body wasn't ready he would feel a colossal amount of mental force smashing into him, possible making him fall back and stumble before Moonie realized what he was doing, calming himself slightly.
James' punch slammed directly into Moonie's body as he looked away, the force passing into his body as it careened outwards, the radial force smashing into the ground as a gigantic cloud of dust exploded outwards from Moonie's feet, leaving a huge indent in the ground behind him. Where James' fist had smashes into his chest, a terrific bruise joined the others, purple in color on his chest as he took in a breath, the bruise stretching outwards as the pain signals raced to Moonie's brain, causing a small smile even as he looked over at the new arriver.
"Voi. Moonie Iramasha, Moon Iramasha." Moonie told the man in reply, smashing his hands together as the air around his body shook slightly, before beginning to cackle. "We are training…" And in that moment, Moonie's entire body would begin to tense as he felt the death matter, his muscles beginning to seize as his tongue went slightly numb, taking deep breaths. "...Voi, did you learn how to use that shit from a man who seeks only the destruction of innocent souls?" Moonie asked Hayden seriously, all joy and pride having left his eyes, leaving only cold hatred, his spine having gone straight again. Depending on his answer, Moonie may be inclined not to train him. If Hayden indeed learned how to use it from Wolf and did not see any problem in the alternate use that he had performed on Moonie, then there was no way that Moonie would approve of sharing with him the Way of the Fist. In fact, he may simply fight him for the need in his gut to destroy that kind of philosophy.
Meanwhile, James was still before him, so Moonie would reach down with a smile, deciding that this was fair if Hayden's answer was approvable. Lifting up his right hand, Moonie would drive his thumb up James' top, before placing the torque into his right shoulder and elbow, lifting his arm up as he pushed his elbow downwards, his body throwing his shoulder back as he attempted to launch James outwards at Hayden like a horse flying through the air.
Then, Moonie's body would fly soon after, his right fist coming up as he threw back the rest of his body again… and followed through with the left arm, attempting to give Hayden a solid left hook across the cheek, but something was different than the last two blows that Moonie had used on James. This attack was not supernaturally powered.
Not imbuing his muscles with chaos energy, Moonie allowed for his toned right arm to deal out the damage, not sending Hayden launching away from contact but merely knocking his face to the side. "Voi, I think I know how to fix you… But I can't do anything for someone who doesn't want help." He continued, his right foot catching the ground as he brought his left foot back, stamping it into the ground as his waist began to curve, his right foot coming upwards, trying to nail it directly into Hayden's chest, before sending the other man flying, finally turning to James again.
"Voi, better. Actually, you know what, for now, only physical bodies are allowed. Of course…" He let out, black flames flowing around his limbs as they covered both of his arms, the flames rising upwards as he cackled at them both. "You can enhance that body in any way that you choose. First one to make me put a knee down, on the ground, will be allowed to use more." Moonie instructed them, lowering his right and left arms to the side, his chest thrusting out as the purple bruise that had joined his brown one was prominent for both of them to see, the indent still laying the field behind them.
"Voi, but I won't fly more than seven feet above the ground." Moonie told them, before smiling as he brought his right hand upwards, a surge of Blast coating around it as the flames backed off. They became a spiral around his right arm, his face looking down as he crashed the attack forwards, smashing it into the ground as he smiled, releasing the sheer wave of force into the ground as the area around them began to rupture, pillars of stone shooting upwards as the stone cracked from the uneven distribution of the force that Moonie had sent into the ground, eventually causing for where he was standing to sink into the ground, his arms folding in front of his body as he looked at the both of them, his red ringed eyes wide as his smile told them both what he was thinking.

Such raw desire for battle was almost overwhelming as Hayden leg stepped back not from his body not being ready, he was a soldier ready for battle at a minute notice. No it was the fact someone held the desire for battle something he had only encountered maybe twice in his whole time as a shinigami. Yet this step wasn’t meant to appear unwavering in fact it seemed a fire was being lit under Hayden as a small smirk began to play on his lips. He loved a good thrashing as much as the next man but when it came to this level of lust for battle he simply felt a stir within his gut that demanded he meet it head on. Such raw power was rare to come across but when you did it was always nice to see someone who knew how to throw a punch and take one it seemed.
But as he spoke and sensed the substance that was forcibly implanted in Hayden when he first began his Vanguard career. He didn’t know much about the man but he knew he did not follow his philosophy so with a bit of rage tainting his voice Hayden eye’d the man for even thinking he would ever follow such a weak minded view. “Trained? I was not trained to use this- it was forced upon me by a man named Wolf and when I find him again I intend to make him pay for the lives he’s taken… including what he did to me.” He explained closing his fist as swirls of the dark energy crawled around his hand before dispersing as he opened his hand.
His thoughts on Wolf where conflicted, but it was sure that he did not worship the man or follow his philosophy nor would he ever with that type of corrupted thinking. Hayden despite his flaws and insecurities at the end of the day was a protector of this world and those he held dear- to become Wolf might be the very thing to contradict that at least to his knowledge and what he learned. So as he told Moonie this- it was hopefully the most appropriate answer but soon he began to see the man reaching down to grab Hayden ally before hoisting him up quickly and.. threw him at Hayden. Well that’s a interesting way to start this fight off with.
It would be rude to let the man fly through the air and hit Hayden but it would also be rude to just let him miss Hayden and crash into the ground. So instead with master level speed he began to focus his eyes to pin point where he would need to grab him to cancel the momentum deciding on gripping his leg and arm. When they made contact with Hayden he would place his leg back causing them to remain grounded as he grabbed the man effortlessly- but his focus hadn’t exactly left Moonie either- Hayden did have a master in focus when it came to fighting multiple enemies and keeping his cool. So as Moonie came at Hayden he would quickly shift his weight playing James down quickly attempting to bring his hands up to parry the attack but he was only able shift away from the attack a bit. The connection was still made causing Hayden head to turn to the side as he smiled from the contact- noticing the attack was spiritually powered.
The man began to speak about fixing either Hayden or his ally perhaps both of them- but this was a bit strange. Maybe Hayden had some problems he needed fixing but if combat could fix them then he was all for it, maybe he would discover something new about himself. But as the man body turned his foot being planted on the ground Hayden was able to shift his weight forward attempting to interrupt the combo, his own foot shifting forward as his should thrust out while he was on one foot breaking into the stance before he could rotate to kick Hayden. While the kick could still land he would see Hayden eye’s glow maroon as he tapped into his own battle lust sending both of his fist forward vertical to each other to attack Moonie torso. Should they land it would attempt to unbalance Moonie since he is on one foot and while not the most damaging attack it hit his solar plexus with masterful speed dedicated to attack speed rather than movement at this moment. Once it landed it would still leave him open for a kick to send him backwards but should he be granted the time he would dash backwards to get some distance with his Ally.
Afterwards Moonie would talk some more before stating the terms of their sparring match, no powers that didn’t enhance their bare physical bodies and the moment one of them put him on a knee they could use more. This cause Hayden to smirk because… most of his abilities revolved around augmenting his body to power levels far beyond his current one. I guess you could say this isn’t even his final form yet.
“I can agree to that but you may regret your words!”
As the shockwaves were sent out Hayden jumped into the air using his shunpo to appear in the air before them, letting out a grunt as the area shook from the amount of energy released in a kinetic form. Hayden didn’t want to reveal his trump card this early or use his death matter, so by pure willpower and superior body control he will his body to increase its strength and speed by fifty percent as his body pulsed twice as his body went into a semi- natural overdrive. Finally, the clouds in the air began to swirl as the field began to darken as Hayden called upon the storm- for if Moonie was the Moon Iramasha then Hayden would show him the physical might of the storm. With two crackles of lightning striking the field they began to converge on Hayden naturally empowering him as his eyes glowed an electric blue and maroon.
