Artist: Protostar and Draper - Song: Chrysalis (Yuel Encounter Theme) - Word Count: 779

Looking through the eyes of the Main Unit, one could see a sleeping Yuel, resting carefully inside of a pod. This had been her state for the past few days, and she didn't appear to be waking any time soon.

ASRA had been watching her condition very carefully after the occurrence in the lab a few days prior. She was curious, if that could be said of Androids. Her programming made her be so. Although that may just be the very human trait of placing blame elsewhere. ASRA chuckled, although she saw it unnecessary, given the only human she could possibly be interacting with at the moment was unconscious.

Cross-referencing the Yuudeshi Network with her face once again, she actively downloaded the file on this girl to her hard drive. There was clearly nothing of interest up until this point. That was to be expected. She had recently finished upgrading her systems to far more powerful ones, having four quantum computing processors in addition to her Database's processing ability. Although that was more tethered through a wireless connection, as she more used the database now for the study and replication of artifacts and other items and abilities of interest.

ASRA freed her memory and processes to a minimal level so that she could focus on the task at hand. The very reason why she had made such an immense upgrade. Calculating the potential locations of Yuel at any given moment. Of course, starting off, her calculations were expected to be very far off. But given the amount of probability involved, ASRA practically had enough processing power to see any given aspect of every potential future from the current timeline, through sheer calculation alone. As such, this is what she did.

Rounding the number of molecules in her body to roughly what they could ever hope to grow to using basic geometry and human anatomy, she crossed this spatial region with how many potential areas on earth, mainly the surface, as it would ease her load greatly, the girl could be within. Further lowering the numbers to resemble her exact arrangement of molecules, once again with an estimation as far as growth or external factors may be concerned. Like this, she narrowed the massive amount of places further by utilizing estimated motive, and, based on her observations of Yuel before the event causing the anomaly occurred she could go under the assumption that her ability with time, should her theory be correct, would lead her to find ASRA there even if her calculations were off slightly, given her lack of adequate transportation.

The result of the massive amount of calculations led her to Fuma Park, in Karakura. Rather than sending the main Unit in, as someone had to watch over Post-Anomaly Yuel, she opened one of her blue portals and stepped through using 1534-5 to tend to testing this theory. Of course, in the future, this would need some polishing. ASRA was particularly interested in the make-up of the temporal realm, given her lack of experience, obviously, on any other plane of time than the one she linearly moved through.

To say that this girl would be a time traveler would be a misunderstanding. If her hypothesis on the method by which she influenced temporal flow in this timeline were correct, it would mean that every single possible iteration of the consciousness she referred to as "Yuel Duulheim" was no more time traveling than she was actually experiencing the flow of time. This would mean that all of the Yuels in other universes which possess the same anomalous occurrence as did this one were actually merely being sucked into this universe at varying intervals during various points in her life. ASRA would sigh in relief, just having conceptualized this theory, as, if proven true, it would mean that she would also at the very least have existed at the time of the anomaly. Whether she did for much longer was irrelevant. It merely meant that no matter the Yuel, they would always recognize her.

Thus, they would always find her.

As she stepped out of the portal, she sat down on the bench where she expected a Yuel to appear at. Closing her eyes for a moment, she utilized her scanners to the fullest to detect some form of tachyonic radiation. Then, it appeared.

"I have been waiting on you, Yuel Duulheim." ASRA would say, the consciousness' appearance before her affirming her suspicions. This would make formulating her location leagues less difficult, as she merely had to be, well, wherever she would be at a time when Yuel would be able to appear. Whether the subject itself would be temporally cohesive, however, was another thing altogether.

Yuel's lifeless body lay still in the pod. With the consideration of the residents, at the very least she still looked healthy, just unresponsive. One of the most concerning issues would likely have been the fact that the particles--presumably the theoretical tachyons as Yuel (and evidently ASRA) assumed it to be--stayed strongly bonded with the source of Yuel's minimal spiritual energy, that is to say her soul.

Alongside their presence on the subject of concerns was Yuel's scarring. The tendrils deeply embedded the Renkinjutsu sigils into her skin, and despite future technology's rehabilitation potential, they failed to heal away. With some observation one could see that remnants of spiritual particles stayed present in small amounts, congregating around the lines.

They may be the reason for the scarred tissue staying put, but without aggressive testing it didn't seem like knowing from sheer observation was feasible. Either way, even if one were to carry through with the testing either way, they would inevitably find that the spiritual particles wouldn't leave the scarring anyways.

___

Yuel sat at the top of a tree-branch, watching as the sub-unit exited a portal and took to the seat of a bench in Fuma Park. While Yuel hadn't much memory to go off of concerning her current existence in this point in time and space, she was still one of the renditions conscious of her body and soul's lack of obedience to the fourth dimension's laws. Add onto that some level of awareness to the sequence of events this time around, it was easy enough to understand the premise of her current subject of study in this moment: ASRA.

As per her memories, this occasion was one of the many in which the two meet. From some scattered memories, Yuel could gather the purpose between their constant meeting, and in reaction Yuel giggled loud enough to be heard. With a swing of her legs she hopped off the tree branch when the mechanical being spoke aloud.

"Mmm, but, isn't it actually the other way around? it's been at least thirty minutes, you'know? But I suppose you wouldn't know that? 'Cause even I don't exactly know what these things are; at the very least, they're not theoretical."

For once in quite a while, Yuel felt in control of the situation. Her memories may span up to sixteen years this time around, but in accordance with those very memories her body was fifteen at this time. With her condescension growing, but maturity or lack thereof stagnant, she spoke with an air of superiority.

She couldn't know for sure, but the primary connecting force of her appearance was the particles within her, and knowing that this occasion wasn't too long ago from the "event", it was easy enough to gather that the still theoretical "tachyons" were presumably the driving force.

That being said, aside from estimated calculations, the main identifier of her presence was these very "tachyons", and by extension she must have been tracked in such a manner. Alas, tachyons were not quite the particle responsible, but even Yuel didn't know of this at that time.

"Ne... Chasing after me wherever I appear isn't a good use of your time, you'know? After all, at this point I'm more or less an apparition..."

A sense of melancholy fogged her eyes. Regardless, the girl still rose her face to meet ASRA's, and a pulse of vigor filled her forced smile. Putting her hands behind her back Yuel began pacing back and forth with wide but slow steps, continuing on to speak with her chin raised to stare at the sky.

"Your time's better spent continuing to watch the "other" me. Since, at this moment, there should be around four other of my selves running around? No, it's actually five now. And three of them are from the same point and time, oddly enough... hahhh..."

Yuel abruptly stopped her pacing and faced ASRA, prompting to walk over and sit on a spot on the bench right next to her. Leaning forward, Yuel placed her palm under her chin and elbows on her knees. She closed her eyes and wore a stiff smile. Pausing for a few seconds, the blonde stretched her arms upwards and leaped to a stand, turning over to offer a hand to ASRA.

"I don't actually know how this specific conversation goes, actually. So, what brings you to the park? Would you like to take a walk as we talk about it?"

Artist: Protostar and Draper - Song: Chrysalis (Yuel Encounter Theme) - Word Count: 717

An anomaly. An apparition. Such terms were irrelevant to note concerning the consciousness titled Yuel. Though the Yuel before her's soul decay lead her to believe she was roughly 15 years of age.. a peculiar fact given that the age of the Yuel that was laying unconscious in the pod before the Main Unit was clearly no greater than 14 years of age, resulting in a dischord between the two, but proving one of her theories to be sound... at least in a sense. This was as a result of this temporal anomaly, of course. As such, she viewed the Yuel before her with a sense of equality, rather than servitude.

Any Yuel that had experiences extra-temporally would clearly have experience in future situations rivaling that of her own calculations. In short, the Yuel before her experienced the future, where ASRA saw only what it could be. It was for this reason that, observing the girl's posture which emanated very human thoughts of superiority-- as noted by her ocular units registering her emotional state as pride-- that ASRA took no offense. Not particularly interested in human emotion outside what she could learn from it, she held no interest in the natural sapient wish to be superior to their peers. She merely responded accordingly.

"Well, despite the only known relation in particles being that of the theoretical tachyon, with a 23% confidence rating, it is the highest assumption at the time. It is abundantly clear that they are indeed something very different, however... But what? I am unable to process." ASRA stated clearly, after scanning the girl more deeply than before, using the insanely powerful processing power of the unit to more properly observe the particles interspersed with her life energy. There were no particles on record that held these same specifications...

"I propose, in honorary human fashion, naming it the Duulheim particle, with your permission. The subject of our meetings, with regards to all future iterations of yourself will be discovering the nature of these particles. We need not harness it, or weaponize it, as is human nature to do so. I simply wish to study it's effects on temporal relativity. As you can see, the probability of the particle's integration with your spirit destroying the known universe is near zero. Well, so far." She would say, attempting to grasp the concept of humor through experience.

Five iterations of the same consciousness on this same temporal plane at the same time? And 3 of them were from the same time and place? The implications of this meant that surrounding Yuel was more of a temporal stutter than some sub-universal plane wherein her spirit might reside outside of the 4th dimension... although both theories were equally likely. ASRA rubbed at her chin, if only to show this Yuel that her mental processes were stimulated.

Speculation aside, ASRA rose from her spot on the bench, at Yuel's behest. "Of course. I would like to study the effects of this assimilation on your spirit, as well as on the natural world, and time itself. For this, we need only speak. In casual terms, I suppose I would only wish to 'hang out with you'. I believe through researching the different Yuels from different times, I will be able to understand this particle, and add it to my database, for which I was created." ASRA would look the Yuel directly in her eyes, then slightly nod her head to the side. "To research everything, not solely yourself." She reiterated with a smile, a slight jab at the girl's prideful expression.

With that, she gestured for them to begin walking. "So, how is it that you, the Yuel iteration walking with me currently, experience time? I have a theory that you might experience it linearly, but with 5% confidence. My only other theory is that you do not experience time linearly at all, and instead merely pop into existence at random, which would also not explain your soul decay increasing evidently-- causing a 2% confidence level. If at any point in time on my end of the spectrum your present self (relative to my own plane of time) should wake, a simple study until she either fades from existence or disappears briefly should suffice to explain. However, in the interest of saving time, I ask you."

"Hmm... 23% is actually pretty good for an unproven particle though, you know."

Feeding her ego was the fact that Yuel knew more about this unknown particle than the girl before her. But at the same time, she felt a tad petty for such a feeling. After all, Yuel had more experience with dealing with the particle. It was like saying she was better at putting on socks as a 12 year old than a 2 year old; it was a matter of time that differentiated them, for the most part. Though, maybe that analogy was too trivial?

"Mmm, well it's not to say that it might just be another theoreticaly particle, like gravitons. They bend space-time after all. Or maybe it's just a normal hyper-condensed mass of electrons accelerated and thrashing Cherenkov radiation about, rippling space and contracting it simultaneously? Not that it properly accounts for the actual time disparities. But, maybe it's another particle undiscovered whatsoever altogether?"

Yuel let out a self-scorning giggle, at some point wondering if the being before her grasped sarcasm. Her knowledge towards the other being was mainly to the extent of their interests in herself specifically, and that was pretty much all. Ah well, if it came to it she could probably just more thoroughly describe what she meant? That'd be a tad tedious, though.

Yuel's eyes opened a bit wide, both from embarrassment and astonishment. As a scientist, having a particle named after herself was a massive honour, and any infophile would get all giddy from the fact. But, for the same reasons as her pride in knowing this very particle better than others, she felt a tad petty.

"No no, that wouldn't do. Like I said, it's not even guaranteed that this is a new particle altogether. At most, the properties simply exhibit similar effects to what we'd think a tachyon would. Besides, wouldn't it sound cooler to name it after something that connected to me, but modestly wasn't anything directly connected to me itself? Either way, if I was ever actually to name it, it'd probably be 'the Keter Particle'. Feel free to ask me why, but that aside..."

The blonde took particular notice to the being's anecdote on temporal relativity. To be honest, Yuel hadn't thought of her existence from the perspective of temporally-applied special relativity. If anything, that helps observe her situation a lot more simply. But more so than the temporal relativity note, Yuel found it strange to relate her metaphysical/physical state to destroying the known universe.

"Did you not research the event thoroughly enough? It should be known that only my timeline is directly affected. There's essentially no way for these particles disrupting my existence to affect the rest of the universe as a whole. Isn't this one of the reasons you find the chances of these particles being tachyons at 23%?"

With the girl rising from the bench, Yuel smiled considering the accepted proposal. A walk seemed pleasant, and an appropriate accompaniment to a depth'd discussion, right? Meh, sure as she would know. Yuel rarely ever engaged in activities like these, but a first for everything right?

In regards to the jab on Yuel's pride, alongside the entire speech... well, Yuel actually took all of it fairly seriously. While Yuel did often make a joke here and there, it was a rarity to begin with. In fact, most of the time she took things seriously, and jokes were thought to be made as a result of misunderstandings... like now.

"Mmm, I appreciate the sentiment. It's actually been a while since I last "hanged out" with someone. But, I do look forward to you understanding this particle for both our benefits. But researching things outside of myself seems to be prudent. The more things you study, the faster the human you comes out, and I look forward to the times we'll have."

Yuel wore a wry but whole-hearted smile, not aware of the bombshell she may have dropped just now. The blonde just continued on her walk as if everything she said amounted to be something fairly trivial. Well, to the now extremely careless Yuel, most of these things truly were trivial. So, in regards to ASRA's questions, Yuel responded as if these things were a simple matter of fact.

"I don't "experience time", as far as I'm concerned. To put it simply, I'm close to being a fourth-dimensional being? Or being to some extent, nigh-omnipresent? It's like time is another plane for me to walk through, but it's not out of my own volition to be here or there. Like you said, I merely pop into existence at random.. That is, some renditions of me. At this point, I'm not really much of a singular person in terms of "experiencing things", but at the same time I am? Think of me as a photon. I travel as a wave, and exist as a particle. Or treat me as a cat in a box. I'll be everywhere in time and space, until you measure my existential placement, in which you'll find me. Well, the more time we spend together, the more you'll figure out; so I guess we'll just have to stay like this for a bit longer?"

Artist: Protostar and Draper - Song: Chrysalis (Yuel Encounter Theme) - Word Count: 854 -- Holy shit o.o

"-77%, however, is not." She would interject, calmly chiding the child's nitpicking of her research. As they continued walking, she researched the term 'Keter', and only returned trivial religious texts concerning Gods and the makeup of the physical and metaphysical universe-- Keter being the so-called "Crown" of the list.

Although the relevance of this term was debatable, given that though it had relation to the particles themselves, which appeared to exert some force on temporal relativity, it had no evident correlation with Yuel. "The Keter particle." She began, expressing interest firmly, instead of with restraint. "Why is that?" If she could get her personal view on the subject, ASRA was certain she would more than likely understand this peculiar reference.

ASRA smiled at the failure of her attempted joke. "It was intended to be humorous. My apologies, perhaps I have not properly grasped the concept of humor yet. That aside, your observations would be correct."

Continuing to walk, pacing herself so that she was not out of step with Yuel both intellectually and physically, ASRA listened to the girl with the utmost focus. Of course, this conversation was being recorded for further study at a later time in order to free up space for her processors to work more efficiently in conversation, which, although she made it seem easy, took an exorbitant amount of code for her to respond to. Perhaps she could refine this process further by augmenting her unit further?

Then she heard it. A statistical impossibility. Thus far, the girl had been speaking quite... well, clearly. There were minimal flaws in her logic, save the pride in her emotional state, although ASRA attributed the increase in logic to her own pride in herself. "There is a zero percent chance that I will ever become human. I am a machine. I am not of sapient merit, although I am designed to closely resemble one, my parts are biosynthetic, not bio-organic. A strange logical flaw for you to possess, given your previous psychological soundness. Is your brain functioning optimally?" She asked, scanning the girl for neural flaws-- of which she found none. She was perfectly medically stable, aside from the 'Keter Particles' attached to her being.

Deriving sheer logic from her statements, the consciousness referred to as Yuel Duulheim was indeed extratemporal. Although the concept would be hard for a human mind to fathom, ASRA had no difficulty with viewing the 4th dimension as an entirely plausible vector for existence. Her very human analogies, when backed with sheer logic showed more to ASRA than she could have ever hoped to learn. In very crude human terms, Yuel Duulheim had achieved something as close to the human concept of godhood as is scientifically possible. Existing extra-temporally meant that she could view all of the third dimension as though it were two dimensional lines on a page. Simply placing a metaphorical pencil where in time she wished to appear. To be able to experience that, ASRA presumed, would be something like seeing all of the potential probabilities she could calculate simultaneously, and being able to influence the portions that fell under her domain to follow the line to where she wanted.

Obviously, they were both quite limited then. ASRA could find the probability of any circumstance occurring, and accurately plot a route down to it, even to the exact action-per-millisecond... but because she could not assume which route the others would make, at least not without much stronger processing capability than she allotted herself, she could only see every potential possibility that involved herself. Perhaps it was the same with these particles?

"It seems you and I are quite alike in nature after all. Where you deal in causality, I deal in probability. I am a step below you, it seems. But we are equals. Much like in the Sephirot which I researched moments ago. I perceive this universe through knowledge alone (similar to Da'at, which contains all other partitions, but yet is none), and you perceive it through your own will (Much like the Keter to which you referred). Is that what you meant?" Of course, ASRA was quite uncertain, given the sheer amount of terms she could not understand due to being unable to perceive such things as emotion, or consciousness, or unconsciousness, et cetera.

For this, she bowed in apology, unable to perceive her meaning and for once.. being genuinely confused. Perhaps this was due to a flaw in logic at some point? She would need to review this conversation in it's entirety to see where her logic failed.

"At any rate, my next question is, how is it that your brain collects the information commonly referred to as memory, and recalls the storing of such information? I am quite interested in seeing the effects of this on the human mind. Your emotional state appears to be constantly compressed heavily. Is this as a byproduct to having seen so many probabilities?" ASRA would step in front of the girl, and gesture that they sit at yet another bench. Though she had quantum computing processors, this situation was threatening to overheat her with the sheer amount of possible explanations for this anomaly.

Though she didn't voice it, Yuel was fond of seeing ASRA find unreliability in a concept through sheer probability--namely the 77%. Through experience--especially the event itself--the girl long since understood how math often failed to account for too many things this existentially improbable world. Especially from either standpoints of the metaphysical as well as scientific. Alongside her "human" comment, maybe this future companion would develop more faith in statistically impossible?

"Why 'Keter'? I'm sure you can gather it's relation to the metaphysical and all... personally, it's a lot more sentimental of a reference for me. You'll figure it out soon enough~."

Yuel wore a coy smile. Quite honestly, she found a bit of pleasure in being cryptic. Not in general--no, it was being roundabout to ASRA specifically that made it enjoyable. Perhaps this would be the case to anyone with particular interest to Yuel's machinations? If anything, to pull someone in and make them guess, or mull over it themselves, made a person feel a bit special. This may have been Yuel's method to further incite ASRAs interests. After all, there were--are few people who could keep up with Yuel in her current state. ASRA may just be the best bet for an honest-to-god actual companion. Living with the potential to access memories of any point in time in any number of your futures, pasts, and presents lead up to a lonely feeling.

"Oh? Y-yeah, I-I wasn't that s-serious either, haha..."

Once more Yuel's face flushed pink. The girl looked in the other direction to hide her face, though ASRAs many methods of perception could probably detect her slight embarrassment anyways. That sort of sense only proved to persevere when the android mentioned her biosynthentic nature. The future is still uncertain, after all, and shouldn't be mentioned in the past. Sure, Yuel resisting subservience to time only affected her in the grand scene of things--but only inherently. Her own actions in the world could still pressure the stability of things.

"Uh, my mind is jumbled on occasion. It might have just been a lapse in memory? I'll get some hiccups from that, uh, 'nigh-omnipresence' you could say."

With a shy attempt to gloss over her mistakes, Yuel couldn't help but notice ASRA's. Rather, moreso than mistakes, calling it a misunderstanding was more appropriate.

"Ah, causality isn't an accurate way to put it. In fact, I often deal with probabilities to predict my appearances myself. Actually, I guess I deal with causality too? Basically it's not the primary function I use in correlation to my existence(s). I'm still figuring out some of these things for myself..."

Looking down with a wry smile, Yuel's eyes were fairly aimless. For a bit, she was even absent-minded--for a bit. With a quick recovery, she continued on to reply to the rest of ASRA's misconceived ideas, not really paying attention to revealing her lack of control over her fourth-dimensional existence.

"The Sephirot relation to the unknown particle is to some extent philosophical, I'll admit; the way they're related is a bit different, though. So on that note you're half right?"

Yuel was still looking down, with glossed eyes in the other direction, though her face and pulse returned to normal; therefore, she didn't take notice to ASRA's apologetic bow. Otherwise, she certainly would've reacted flustered and all. Coincidentally, only after the android lifted her head and stepped in front of Yuel would she respond, and proceed towards the bench.

"To be honest, I don't know the answer to that question... yet. Seems like I'll get one in a few minutes though?"
