“... You.. Enjoyed It Huh..” The Mermaid Iramasha Murmured as she thought back to the crumbling castles.. to her own race’s annihilation, and something inside snapped an unfamiliar emotion rumbling to the surface. Smiling like a feral flower, growing in the pits of hell , She looked up seeing the beast as it slammed it’s paw into her shoulder the talons ripping quite clearly into the skin while she had in return without batting an eyelash brought her trident forward a high velocity bolt slamming point blank into the beast's chest, a water bolt going over 1000 miles an hour probably tearing and rending flesh, breaking bone, and slamming out the other side. The bloodied wound on her arm already beginning to stitch shut due to the water around her, and yet she looked forward at zaine. Flicking her trident across her bodice so she could grip it with her good hand A thrum of energy expanding and enveloping the trident’s very tip. Next her head tilted forward the trident quivering in her hand ..this unfamiliar sickly emotion burning deep in her chest beyond even the rage she felt losing her home thousands of years ago. What.. was it.. This sick feeling akin to being like a rotten fruit.. black on the inside.

”..Do you even understand what it means to lose everything? You.. are so alike to those humans.. killing and taking away from others for no justifiable reason..”

Ariel blinked a few times her ruby red hair rippling around her within her sphere of water, Glancing over her shoulder to check the progress of the evacuation , seeing that roughly 50% of the survivors had by now made it safely out of the building she continued to stand there, her eyes lingering on the one known as Zaine and his beast, and the mermaid iramasha would then straighten up. She still had to buy time, there was still too many people that hadn’t gotten out yet, too many lives that could still be lost. She didn’t want to lose anyone else.. nor did she want to kill if she could help it. Even such a depraved creature had a purpose in this world, something they had to achieve, even if it was merely to destroy or strengthen bonds between certain individuals. Either way as she suppressed that sickly rotting feeling inside her chest. Ariel would have smacked the butt of her trident against the floor, her expression narrowing as she said slowly.

“.. Do you need to fight here, or can’t i ask you to leave, as so long as i can move you won’t be harming another soul and you will die if you go against the full might of the iramasha council , you simply are not strong enough. That’s just the brutal reality you have to face here. “


The Mermaid Iramasha would finish saying her trident remaining by her side while below one of the many evacuating personnel would hit the alarm, altering not only those within a nearby vicinity to get out, but also alerting every single other branch on iramasha island that there was something not quite right going on. In this way soon every single iramasha would know something was amiss. but for now? The Mermaid Iramasha using herself as a human shield would have rapidly exploded from her position then unpinning the soldier that had been wounded releasing him while she would have tossed him as hard as she could out the nearest window, a tendril of water encompassing and lowering him to the ground unless zaine had somehow stopped her from doing so. Otherwise the injured soldier would be safely out of zaines reach now. While the mermaid iramasha then glanced at her recovering limb gritting her teeth as she still couldn’t quite use it properly yet.

Yet she’d rapidly retreat back to her previous position her trident tilting forward slightly while she was ready incase the fight was going to continue rather than the person name zaine actually leaving instead. Her focus entirely on the man and his beast, as she hoped.. rather that this could be solved peacefully.. and so why.. did she feel such a sickly rotten feeling deep inside her breast?

”...You dare..”

She’d mutter lightly as her body shifted as she watched her ruby red hair whipping with wild abandon as the energy level of her opponent spiked through the roof, till it was grating against her bones in a way that would bring her land-dwelling counterparts to their knee’s or until they would have been incapacitated. But not her, because she was a being used to fighting in the depths of an ocean so deep that the pressure was astronomical. So as she watched she bit her lower lip, tail swaying from one side to the other slowly. The sick rotten feeling in her chest getting stronger as she watched this.. there was so much hatred in this being. So much anger and malice. She began to tune out what the other individual was saying, all the excuses all the petty reasoning that had justified him doing what he could do. Yet it was a curious thing, normally she felt empty inside, hollow without purpose without reason.

Yet right then, she didn’t feel hollow anymore, instead she felt a deep sickness a rotten feeling inside her breast that made her want to puke. A feeling of anger and malice mixed in with cold certainty. She could only watch as the male changed, his body altering to look like a grim reaper. Then her eyes narrowed and the clear word.. “Embrace Extinction” Spread into her ears, and her whole body began to tingle the white hot lancings of rage burning through her gentle teachings, forging her gaze into glinting daggers while she brought her trident up spinning it rapidly between her hands seeing as her other arm had finally regenerated from the wound that beast had inflicted on it. So now hand over hand the mermaid iramasha made mincemeat of the raging blast of water, spinning the water pressure into a dizzying vortex that would spray outwards like a spinning pinwheel, raging water droplets cleaving into the ceiling, the walls and finally the floor. A small giggle escaping her lips as she looked at the man , that giggle spreading into a out of control laughter that made her body quiver and shake, mouth ajar as the horrifying sound expanded outwards.

”What do you know about being the ruin of an entire species?.. Is it Obligation, or is it duty?.. Or is it for your own desires. Speak Mongrel.”

As the Mermaid iramasha said mongrel her spinning trident came scything around a jet of water scything from the tridents tip thanks to her water emperor ability and the card reimu iramasha had given her. This jet would slam hopefully into the demon’s body while even with the gap in power she’d then bring the tip of her triden forward her own body remaining still without moving, from there? A writhing bomb of compressed water laced with her blood would fire, expanding rapidly once it got outside of her moving orb of water. This would expand rapidly and finally it would detonate, shattering the windows inside the building while she had waited for a reply slowly as her smile could bisect her face. The spear jerking forward as her whole body moved as one, riding one of the tendrils she had been manipulating she would rapidly close the gap, trident’s pointed tip jerking towards Zaine’s exposed side as she continued her statement.

“..What could you know about seeing everyone you knew die , and do so knowing that it was your choice that led everything to ruin. Can you shoulder that? You intolerable creature , do you understand the magnitude of your ramblings. ?”

Her words would be matched by the deft flickering of her trident which would pick up speed, jerking down the male’s chest and then up again. Her speed probably by this point being enough that in the next second she must have potentially struck him in 100 different places. Her deft movements like a well oiled dance, before she finally danced backwards out of reach again, her eyes narrowing while she herself remained on guard her expression flat and uncaring but also strangely cruel, she didn’t enjoy this.. fighting and destroying others but. In this case she couldn’t just allow this creature to run free , if she did there would be absolutely no chance of redemption. After that day she had vowed not to allow others to go through what she had gone through. That was a promise she was going to keep.

“..Take it from someone who has already seen the ruin of her entire civilization. What you seek is closure, not endless madness and destruction. You who wishes to turn the earth to brimstone, and destroy everything in sight, do not seek extinction but purpose. “

After that.. reaching she still despite her rage.. and anger was trying .. yet.. trying to find the easier option, the one that would lead to the least amount of blood shed.. even if she had to sacrifice herself she was confident that eventually someone would pick up the mantle she dropped.. she just had to hold out until reinforcements arrived, or until her body gave out, which ever one of these things came first.

[75% of the remaining personel in the base have been evacuated at this point. there is roughly 15,000 individuals remaining. ]

She had made an error.. as she went to strike the likes of zaine.. she had forgotten about that beast from earlier. This beast now had rushed forward and everything for The Mermaid iramasha was moving in clear cut slow motion. She could see everything. The shape of the beast’s serrated claws as they jerked forward.. and the feeling that she had screwed up, she had let that rotten feeling in her chest get the better of her, and this was the price of that . . Arrogance, that momentary lapse in judgement when facing such a vastly stronger opponent. So as the claw’s jerked into her navel and traveled from her navel to her chest she would mumble slowly.

“..I .. told you.. “.

Ariel said as blood splattered from her lips, a long riveting gash running from navel to breast and yet her eyes would widen a fierceness in them as her trident jerked forward blood flying as that claw dug in deeper because she didn’t avoid, she pushed forward as while the claw jerked into her body her trident smashed into the hellish beast’s own body probably spearing him through as water exploded in every direction, her normally luminous skin paled by the loss of her blood, But she wasn’t done, her trident would smash downwards pinning the hellish beast in all likely-hood for a moment before she would jerk back pulling the trident’s tip from the beast’s body, tail jerking around to smack into the creature’s side with lightning fast speed, the force of it sending the hell-beast probably into a wall to the immediate left of the combatants. but then the next attack, a blast of pure demonic energy slammed into her person, and she would have jerked her trident up crashing it against the immense blast that used a large amount of demonic energy. Probably blowing the top off of the building while she gritted her teeth remembering the lives below. She couldn’t fight .. not unless she wanted those lives to be lost.

So she stomached it, as blood continued to run from her chest, as she seemed to feel a coldness in her slowly mending breasts she had applied her pressurization on her blood-soaked trident directly, condensing it until it turned into a pure luminous light. Exploding violently with vibrations, that was borne from the pressurization of 17 atmosphere’s bearing now outwards and upwards on the blast. And yet she looked resolutely forward as the blast which she herself didn’t have enough power to truly .. negate was directed upwards a billowing pillar of energy that would blow the roof off, causing the clouds as well to be blown outwards from around the building. She was still checking the progress of the evacuation, more than that however she grit her teeth forcing her slowly numbing body to continue moving, she only had to endure a tad more and she would be able to regenerate the wound fully. Just a little more.. and yet her Trident was caked, browned by the blood that had splattered from her wound.

”..You won’t get past me.. because..”

She said as she held her trident against the ground using it to keep herself upright for the moment. Her eyes glaring through the smoke, their piercing oceanic colored gaze locking on as she repeated the answer to how she herself knew.. why .. why this wasn’t the answer to his need’s to his teaching and to his prayers. A dark secret that she thought she would never relive, the reason she herself was no better that this monster.. this roaring beast that was on a misguided road that would only lead in destruction, and death for him.

”..Because unlike you.. i know the pain of following my convictions. It cost me everything, my race. My home. I willingly chose to cast myself out of favor with my god, with my bloodline. and it resulted in the death of everything i held dear, my subjects. My loved one’s.. My father. That was the price of my own honor and integrity.. the lives of millions. and that is why.”

The mermaid iramasha said as she spat out some blood her energy spiking erratically as she forced herself to her limits even in her battered state she would hold herself aloft with the regality of a queen. Because the weight she herself had to bear every day was much heavier than the mere physical wounds and this pressure that was from the creature that was in front of her. So she would let the water around her begin vibrating as energy continued to climb from her. She would force it to higher plane’s wringing out everything she had because of her promise, the promise that she wouldn’t let anyone die ever again, and so.. the wound on her chest would begin closing at an even faster rate and she would heft her trident holding it en-garde.

“..I face the weight of knowing every day if i had given up my honor. . they would still be alive, if i had given up my own way they could have lived to see another day. I live with that and i have accepted that, so in many ways i am not one of those gilded hero’s standing peerlessly on a throne of goodwill and admiration. I am worse than you in many ways, the blood toll i bare is much higher. . . which is how i know. . I know..”

She’d say as her breaths came in heavy pants her aqua-marine eyes luminous as she continued to force her energy to new heights. the healing would begin to close faster and she’d say in a clear voice despite all the pain.. out of sheer will the pain that felt like her body was being split in two would be lessened to nothing. The bone crushing pain of 7000 years of sadness also diminished to a whisper while she’d feel it her energy spiking and a whisper of something.. more lingering in her body some.. phantom sensation that had fledged but yet to take flight. It was truly she knew that no matter the battering she took she wouldn’t fall.. not now.. not ever.. not even with this level of destruction.

”..I know i will not fall, even if you break every bone in my body i will not fall. So long as i can protect these people. “

The mermaid iramasha’s words would ring true as the water around her had glowed a light blue and she had watched the indecision in the demon in front of her. her lips would part and her clear cutting word’s echoing as she said to the other.. in a voice that would brook no compassion for the new excuse.. even if it would be true.. because of that word.. religion.. a bible.. religion had caused horrible things.. and she had been alive to see the crusades. To see the senseless murder and bloodshed, and so she would bark out at the other.

”.. Yes.. You may have been tricked but ultimately it was your own choice to allow yourself to be tricked. So what will you do? Will you stick to your own convictions, or will you continued to be swayed by others? A indecisive blade is one that is useless. One that wallow’s in the fact they had been too weak to hold themselves to their own standards isn’t a blade at all, it is merely a child that is in need of discipline. “

Ariel would say this while she had remained still the wound still regenerating against her chest, a wound that had almost cut her in two to be frank. Yet that wasn’t on her mind, instead what she was focusing on was something else.. something vastly more important in her eyes then any physical injury.

“..Answer me. Is this Bloodshed Neccisary? Are you Willing to sholder the burder for your own honor and the path you wish to tread. If not then leave this place. if so, i will face you with every ounce of my power, with every fibre of my being i will stop you. I will be a wall that you cannot surpass until you break me.. and even then i will appose you. As i said. You will not get past me you will not harm another life on this day. So will you accept that, or will you test the truth of my words? A truth that not even the lives of my entire race could get me to betray? ,My blade may not kill you, but it will stop you. because this is my truth. “

The mermaid iramasha would finish as her trident was gripped nimbly in her hands. and she waited ready to strike again or defend.. until everyone got out.
