Subject Post 1PostSubject: For this world, I will do good. [Hero Quest]   Fri May 13, 2016 7:58 pm

Chloranthy's clothing fluttered lightly in the wind as he approached the tallest peak of this grand summit. It had taken him some time to make his way to here, though not because of difficulty. He had been observing the land below him, something he found himself doing quite often. Now looking forward, he saw the great igloo that he had been told of. Now that he was coming up on the peak, he had been thinking of some things.

He thought of the possibility that this wouldn't work. The person he was seeking was of great position, and so his state of being remaining unknown was quite unlikely. This individual would most likely find out very much about him within a very short time. Then again, he would not underestimate the ability to accept of one in such a high standing position of good. It was also this ability and others that were major reasons of his to come here. If he found the people around him hostile, the likelihood of him escaping to any degree of effectiveness was also long since highly improbable, and so he may just as well press forward. Realizing he was very close to approaching his destination, he ceased these branching thoughts and elected to focus on whatever may now happen before him.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Verytex - Song: Act 1 [Mega Drive] Music - Word Count: 775

Boundless.

That one word could describe what Cirno Iramasha envisioned for herself and this Guild of Heroes that had been founded throughout the course of 2416. It was hard to believe that almost a half year had passed since it's foundation, but already the allure of light, hope and heroism that this summit produced was enough to make this forces rival the likes of many organizations throughout the globe. It honestly took The Celestial by surprise and she was beginning to wonder how much she could handle under the load of the many duties, responsibilities and tasks which were bestowed to her because of this fact.

It is why she was seen lazing about on her back on the top of the igloo which Chloranthy found himself coming upon. The Angel Of The Ice was staring upwards the heavens in order to give her space and time to recover from the demands this life called of her. Everything from managing the relationship she had with her engaged wife to be, the quells of anxiety about bringing three children into a world as calamitous as this one, constantly training to improve herself for this family, being the front liner for the Angel Iramasha Clan and leading this Guild of Heroes were all quite draining things to perform in her day to day life.

Yet, despite all that was on her plate, this Celestial wanted to remain hopeful in the fact that her faith would guide her through these troubling times. So, even while she was dead tired and feeling lethargic from all that had occurred, Cirno could find the strength to stand on her feet and greet the next potential hero to be as she sensed the presence of Chloranthy encroach upon her terrority. With each of her six frozen wing tips fluttering in excitement, she would soon begin waving her hand at him and saw fit to introduce herself quickly.

"Ha! I haven't seen your face around here. I take it you are another adventurer wanting to become a hero, right? That's obviously why you came here!"

Yes, Cirno was quite the assumptive person at times. The way her chipper dialogue came off gave the potential expression that she was quite assuming when it came to the reasons and purposes for a soul finding themselves at her lovely little igloo. However, it wasn't exactly as if she had no reason not to be. The Angel of The Ice had gone through this process many times over since the year began, and not many had come to cause trouble. Hence, how could she not be a little bit loose and presuming when it came to her first guesses?

Regardless, there wouldn't be enough time in the day to be had in order to mull over such small things. It was time to get cracking and sky eyed Celestial was seen jumping from the roof top of her frozen home to the face of her new found guest in a matter of seconds. As her bare feet touched the slushy white earth, bits of ice and snow would splatter a bit across the blue dress which adorned the supple body of Cirno. While taking time to notice this, The Iramasha wouldn't waste time dusting herself off to make her seem more presentable.

Then, following that action, the ocean haired Angel would then begin to inspect the male before she came to a stop, placed her hands behind her back and giggled. There was a weird feeling about the man's energy, but she couldn't sense any ill intent at the moment. So, she poked his nose and posed this question:

"So, tell me stranger, what really brings you here to my summit? Why do you want to become a hero?"

Though, in her typical scatterbrained fashion, she forgot to mention one thing and snapped her right finger out of regret in forgetting that thing!

"Hahaha, cause I, Cirno Iramasha, want to know your name and story, stranger!"

Yeah, names were important. Super important! It was best to start relationships off the right way knowing just what to address your new comrade, business partner, colleague, enemy and every type of relationship you could think of over the sun! Hopefully he wouldn't mind her prodding him a bit and digging into his origins!

Chloranthy's eyes darted to the figure he saw approaching through the sky from atop the igloo. Upon hearing her call out to him, he assumed that they were the one he had come looking for. Chloranthy observed this person intently, making sure to move his eyes and not his entire head as his gaze locked onto her. At first glance she didn't seem to be likely to take aggressive action, but he still had to be careful. However, he realized that no matter how careful he was there was still no chance at escaping this remote location. He was well and truly on the line here and there was no point in withholding any information, so he decided he may as well be blunt and to the point.

As Chloranthy continued to observe the girl before him he started to become assured that she wasn't the type of person to turn him away or attack him, even if she knew of what race he belonged to. She seemed quite.. cheerful. Cheerful and energetic, rather befitting of her role as the head of the Guild of Heroes. A bit assumptive, but it showed that she didn't carry any emotional scars, or at least didn't let any get in the way of her. Chloranthy would remain expressionless and without motion as he spoke. Aside from his eyes following Cirno wherever she may move and his own mouth forming words, that is.

"Greetings.. Cirno, if it is alright for me to address you as such. My name is Chloranthy. To put it bluntly, I come here for two reasons, and those are to seek fame and power. However, I know how that may sound, so I will explain further. My reason for seeking fame is that I have goals that involve the betterment of this world. However, my race bears a stigma, and that combined with my.. condition may make it hard for me to be accepted. The mark of a hero may do well to overshadow or even negate these problems that I face. My reason for seeking power also follows the same logic. For achieving my goals, it is required that I be much stronger than I am right now." After a short pause of thinking of what he should add on, Chloranthy concluded that the information given accurately got his message across. He elected to end his statement definitively. "That concludes my reasoning for being here before you to request acceptance into the Guild of Heroes."

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Steins;Gate - Song: Butterfly Effect - Word Count: 663

This was a rather peculiar situation that The Angel Of The Ice had found herself placed in. For one, it confirmed her suspicion that he was indeed a demon with his talk of being apart of "the most hated" race. However, at the same time, he certainly didn't give off the impression that he was one from the way his aura felt. It was something that she was going to investigate further as The Celestial was more than leery and hesitant around those of demonic heritage. While it has eased in the months which have followed The Guild OF Heroes rise to power, it still was a segment of herself that she didn't see fully be dissolved soon based on her own negative encounters of members related to that race.

As for the second matter of this demon's motives? Well, Cirno was rather interested in seeing if she could assist a demon in redeeming themselves. As, if she could prevent herself from becoming a fallen angel, perhaps she could help a creature of darkness find the light and perhaps see if the divide between races could be eased to an extent. Therefore, without further need for thought, the next phase of her training could begin now that The Frozen Celestial had a fair understanding of what she was dealing with.

"You certainly are a talker, but at least you aren't sadistic, crazy or wanting to take my body parts like other demons I've ran into it. So call it a breath of fresh air."

There was then a tired sigh heard coming from the mouth of Cirno before she gave an exhausted shrug of her shoulders. Just thinking back to various experiences where they tried to break her psyche, slaughter everyone around her and otherwise put The Angel Iramasha in one binding situation was tiresome to think about it. So, she would begin rubbing her head with her right hand before looking at Chloranthy with a nonchalant gaze.

"Anyway, it's alright for you to call me Cirno. However, I'll be sure to test your intentions soon enough! Hehe, you can bet on that!"

With a chipper tone of voice and a slight jovial laugh given with those words, the uneasiness of her mind would be masked well enough for the moment for her to begin the training. As, following the sounds of a clap, streaks of white Aether Energy would spread around the two and eventually strings of holy energy would come at the ankles and wrist of The Demon. When they did begin to disperse and spread out, The Angel Of The Ice would then be seen having a semi-concentrated look on her face. The reason for this is because she was extracting her energies purifying elements so she wouldn't end up hurting the demon. After all, one loose grip, and this guy would feel the brunt of a near Captain-Commander Class Angel's aura devouring him.

"But first: do you have the ability to take a blind step towards the unknown?"

This question was going to be extremely crucial towards where the training would begin heading between the two. It could make or break the boy already and she was intent on seeing what his actions would result in. Hence, she would nod her head towards the magically charged streaks of Aether and motion for him to grab it.

"If you think you can do it, then I want you to grab those strings and attach them to your wrist. If you are able to do that, then I will begin the training and explain the next process."

With that, The Angel of The Ice would then sit Indian Style on the ground and stare intently at Chloranthy to see what his decision would be.

Chloranthy listened closely to Cirno. He was relieved that she indeed didn't seem as if she would act aggressively. However, he couldn't tell how whether or not she was hesitant. Her sigh could mean relief, but it could also mean that she felt apprehensive in his presence. The situation here may be fragile, and so he decided that it would a be good idea to tread carefully.

As soon as Cirno mentioned a test, Chloranthy was ready. He had come to the summit of this mountain ready. Tests were quite expected, seeing as how he was requesting to be allowed a role that could be hold great influence. This point was even more so made by the fact that he was a demon. Because of this, he had come especially prepared to earn the trust of the one he had sought, that one being Cirno. He also knew that good usually never came about from never taking a risk. The more decisively he acted, the more likely he would be trusted as well.

It was these aforementioned reasons that explained his actions. He was still observing Cirno closely. As soon as strings of white began forming quite close to him, he assumed they were to be part of a trial of sorts. As he heard her speak, a thought formed within his mind.

A trial of trust? It makes sense. I must trust her in order to gain her trust in turn.

With this thought, as he saw Cirno nod towards the string and motion for him to take hold of them, he did so immediately. Before she had even finished speaking, his right arm was making a move to grasp onto the strings nearby him. As he listened to her go on, he would act on her further instruction by using his left hand to fasten the strings around his right wrist firmly. Altogether, he may even be finished as she sat on the ground. He stood ready for further instruction. This was a chance that would be a great waste should he fail, and would be a tremendous step towards achieving his goals should he succeed. He would do his best to make the latter come true.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Herzog Zwei - Song: There Is No Time To Lose - Word Count: 535

An exploration of determination into the unknown was all that Cirno needed from the male in order to pass the first round of her test. In order to be a hero, one was going to have to take risk and gamble on whether or not their efforts will be successful. It was a daunting task to undergo for most people and The Angel Of The Ice wanted to ensure that her pupil-to-be could handle that sort of pressure. As the next few tests to come were going to truly judge his character and bring out his potential wholly.

The reason for this is that when he touched this string, each of their souls would be conjoined temporarily. In turn, this would allow for Cirno's astral projection to take effect and allow her entrance into the demon's inner spiritual world. From there they could each begin cultivating a richer and stronger base for the male to work from. Ergo, the eyes of The Angel suddenly became blank and filled with nothing but a white light as her consciousness had been embed within the core of Chloranthy's being.

When that transfer of spirits had began, The Demon would then sense a sudden pull on his own mind to reascend into a deep, dark and void filled place within his own body. There was no telling what this male's inner world could look like, so his own consciousness would be dragged down into this inner world as well. Even if the two met in a void of total darkness, that would be sufficient enough for The Angel of The Ice to work from. As, judging from the feel of his body, there was a hollow sense filled within it's embodiment and Cirno wondered if this male even had a soul to begin with.

If he lacked a spirit, she would provide a lush inner world for him based upon his principles of heroism and allow him to feel something more than total static emptiness. As all Cirno could feel within her own being was a deep, impacting coldness that ran up her spine and flowed through the vessels of her cosmic body. And, to her, that felt quite awful. To have to endure a numbed existence is one of the worse curses she could think because of the fact that life was filled with so much beauty to enjoy and experience. Thus, to have that stifled and limited by a lack of a spirit was one which made her rather sad upon musing over her own emotions and thoughts about the whole ordeal.

Nevertheless, as she continued her downward spiral into the inner workings of Chloranthy's body, she was going to be prepared for whatever inner world could exist. Whether it be a total hell, a living heaven or a space of pure nothingness; Cirno was determined to live by the principles of her own teachings and take a step into the unknown to see what is behind the veil.

Subject Post 7PostSubject: Re: For this world, I will do good. [Hero Quest]   Wed Jul 06, 2016 11:04 pm

As soon as Chloranthy had bound the string to himself, he realized something was up. As he was watching Cirno intently, he saw the change to her eyes, and immediately following that he felt a tugging on his mind. It was a strange sensation, almost as if imploding and descending at once.It wasn't a physical feeling, but rather a mental sensation, like a strange trip. Soon after pondering this, as he was being sucked into his own inner being, he came to the obvious conclusion that this test appeared to be based not entirely on trust.

Everything went dark. The sensation faded, and he appeared to be somewhere else. Where he could not see, as darkness was everywhere. He couldn't feel any footing underneath him, but he also didn't feel as if he were falling, so he assumed he was floating. His eyes were definitely open, but still he could not see anything around him. However, he soon realized something strange about the darkness around him, and that was the fact that it actually wasn't. He looked down at himself and flexed his arms around to test it out, and he could see them perfectly fine, just as if it were a sunny and clear day. That which was around him in fact was not the lack of light, but the lack of anything. There was absolutely nothing here, and if one were to look hard into the blackness surrounding them, they may feel as if they could see forever, as absolutely nothing obscured their vision.

He thought back to Cirno. Just what had she done to him? He had never seen this place before, and yet it felt familiar to him. Thinking back to the sensation he had felt, could he have been taken inside of himself? He fully well knew he didn't have a soul, so he was somewhat surprised that he would still have an inner world. Though, upon remembering what was around him, it seemed to fit rather well. He decided to go with the assumption that this was what lay inside of him.

Thinking to inner worlds, they were defined by one's soul weren't they? It's probably why his own was empty. So, if he didn't have a soul to define it, what did? He still had a will, and so he thought of something to try. He looked below him. He knew his mind was clear and that nothing clouded his thoughts. His goal was clear and he knew what he wanted to achieve. Because of this, he thought that nothing should stop him should he tweak the "definition" of his inner world with his will, as nothing he could think of should stand in the way of his connection to his inner self. With a bit of focus, he consciously commanded footing to appear beneath his feet, and his command rewarded him. Formless, dull gray matter sprouted from nothing beneath him, near instantly forming into a disk and expanding to be about twenty meters in diameter and only a few inches thick. His body set down upon it, ensuring that the platform was indeed physical. It seemed entirely smooth and seamless, almost formless when one looked down on it, with a dull gray in color that resembled stone. It's surface was firm and unyielding.

Thinking back to Cirno once more, he wondered where she was. Since he was pulled inside of himself, had she followed him here? He wondered what sort of testing was in store for him here. Had she simply wanted to see what was inside of him for herself? If so, he wondered how she would react to what she found. Thinking all this, Chloranthy began scanning the area around him for any sight of the girl.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: maritumix - Song: Missing Truth - Word Count: 558

Nothing. Noting was here. It was a world of total darkness. It felt barren, bleak and overall -- empty. It wasn't a feeling Cirno was fond of and she wanted to change this desolate landscape into something more. As it seemed as if both he and her were confined within a space of total waste. Therefore, as soon as she found sight of the male, The Angel Of The Ice flew over to his side and pointed out towards the great abyss surrounding them all.

"This is a reflection of your soul. It's...a vacant place. So, I feel the first order of business will be to put some light in this soulless vessel of yours."

There was a soft sigh which was followed by those tenderly spoken words. Yes, it was a bit of an intrusion on Cirno's part, but if he left himself opened to her training; she was certain he'd be fine with the next turn of events. As, after she was finished speaking, The Angel placed her right hand on the wall of his inner world. Afterwards, a pulsation of celestial energy would be felt surging about within his body and newly formed inner world.

What exactly was The Angel doing? Well, Cirno was attempting to infuse her Holy Aether into the male's inner core in order to begin transforming this void of an inner world into something with more depth and space. Thus, flares of light would begin to break, crack and enter through the blobs of shadows which had once consumed this desolate land. They would appear as chunks of blue sky until it eventually dissolved all of the bareness and bleakness of his inner world.

For, in a matter of moments, it would be as if they were floating in a land of never-ending sky and clouds. This represented the light of her holy energy becoming one with his spirit and allowing Chloranthy a chance to cultivate a rich inner world for him. Thus, it was only befitting that the male would take the wheel and begin forming his new world. Ergo, her oceanic eyes fixated their gaze upon the male and she looked towards him to begin feeling this new sensation within his heart and mind.

"Do you feel that warmth? That's what it feels like to have a soul. There are so many colors that you can choose from to paint your world. Why don't you let your mind go and try to create what would be your ideal world. Go on, my power can allow for that transformation to happen. I want to see what you would like your world to be."

When The Angel was done speaking those gentle words, a warm smile soon washed over her face as it felt nice to try and do some type of good in the world with this small token of a gesture. As, once he was able to begin creating his new inner world, Cirno could then begin the next phase of training and make him into the hero he had always wanted himself to be. At least, if he could pass all of her test, anyway.

[PLAY POSTING MUSIC]

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: 894

A reflection of his soul, huh? A reflection of nothing. An endless, absolute void. He had guessed correctly then; this is indeed what lay inside of himself. He didn't really mind all that much. To be truthful, he honestly didn't care what the inside of his nonexistent soul looked like. After all, whatever it looked like, it was very unlikely that it would ever come to non-aesthetic use. It also seemed unlikely that it would come to the view of others often, and if its appearance were to offend someone, he really didn't care about that either. He didn't need to listen to the criticism of others to find out what he wants. He knew what his goals were, he just did not yet know how to go about them.

Chloranthy soon noticed energy coursing through his being. Cirno was apparently up to something once more, and it immediately became apparent what that something was. He watched as the void around him was torn apart by light and sky. The way Cirno had spoken about this "first order of business" made Chloranthy assume she thought ill of the former scenery. He thought to himself for a bit while blue was continuing to perforate the former blackness of his world. Perhaps he should be more concerned about this matter. If someone such as Cirno disapproved of it so much, then it could very well trouble him in the future. He had been thinking of himself and his goals until now, but now the thoughts of others about him became an increasingly important subject.

The new endless expanse of sky now pervaded his inner self; not a smudge of black remained. This served to solidify the assumption that the former blackness was definitely disliked. Did others truly hate the dark that much? Chloranthy came to realize potentially just how much his race was condemned as beings associated with dark such as that. He had much to do, oh so very much, and as time went on it only seemed harder. But then again, this was not the time to be mulling over such things. Actions, even grand ones, are always taken in steps. He was in the middle of one of said steps right now, and it would be wiser to give his full attention to it.

Chloranthy turned to Cirno as she spoke. He did feel what she was speaking of. The feeling of this light that now apparently was his world. It felt familiar, and yet still strange. He felt appreciative of it, and yet at the same time felt it repulsive. It reminded him of nice memories from his former self, but it also reminded him of the bad ones and why he was no longer that former self. He would follow Cirno's instructions and he would put his trust in her. As he had already planned to, he would try his best to do good for the world. However, he had to speak to Cirno about something on his mind first.

"Cirno, I sincerely appreciate the help you are giving me . However, there is something I wish to say, and I mean it in no offensive manner. I do not need nor want pity. I threw away my soul for a reason, and I wish for this decision of my own to remain in effect. My mind has been made clear. I can see my goals and I feel no fear, sorrow, or rage. The only greed or other feelings of the like I feel is my desire for my goal's completion. Because of the lack of my soul, I have the selflessness required to incorruptibly exist solely for my goal, and I do not wish this changed."

With this said and out of the way, Chloranthy would turn around and begin doing as Cirno instructed him. What would he like his world to be? He pondered this. He would just take this one step at a time.
What do I desire for the world? I desire greatness.
As Chloranthy began walking through his thoughts, the world around him would change according to them. Metallic structures would begin rapidly forming around him and Cirno, more forming in the distance. In fact, they would be forming everywhere in sight.
What do I desire this greatness to be? I desire it to be endless.
The construction around exploded in speed, forming buildings that endlessly stretched up and down, connecting to others around them with hallways at seemingly random points. They would blot out any sight of the sky.
What do I desire this endless greatness to be? I desire it to be infallibly pure without corruption.
Even though the sky had been blocked, the levels of light never changed, as if the light still shone through. The surface of every structure around would also become flawlessly reflective, like endless mirrors. There was also not a single shadow to be found within this entire landscape, as if ambient light was emitted from everywhere.
What do I desire this infallible, endlessly great world to be? I want it to be impenetrable and indestructible, so that it may truly last forever.
Following this thought from the beginning, the structures that had filled his world formed no entrances, completely blocking the outside. This process of construction completed to form an endless, spacious, reflective, interconnecting maze of skyscrapers, the equally numerous connecting hallways the only foothold. With this complete, Chloranthy would turn to Cirno and say one thing.

"I am finished."

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: maritumix - Song: Missing Truth -

There was no hostility felt within the Angel of The Ice as the Soulless Male expressed his most earnest desires to her. If her advances were not welcomed? Than she had no problem stepping down away from them and allowing him to assume control over his inner world. Since, after all, this was about him becoming a hero and she wanted to observe what he was capable of fostering within his soul. Hence, The Celestial could do nothing more than nod her head and utter these words out to him:

"It is fine, Chloranthy. All I want you to do is show me what you wish for yourself."

And with those sentiments being spoken outloud in a placid tone of speaking, The Angel Of The Ice would begin to observe and watch the endless series of skyscrapers begin to form and take root within his inner world. It was an interesting sight to see as she ingested the purpose of them being here. Although The Celestial cannot comprehend wanting to throw away ones soul to achieve something like this, it did at least show resolve and she could work with something like that.

As, slowly but surely, her angelic prowess was resonating with this metaphysical construct and using it as the catalyst to activate her divine blessings. Blessings and miracles which were capable of unlocking new power, strength and understanding of ones abilities, strengths and inner self. So "The Machine" of a man would certainly start to feel the bondings of something beginning to infuse itself into his embodiment. He'd sense a new energy beginning to flood his body and that the potential of his self was being risen. This could all come by a sixth sense which made him aware of these values being altered within himself so that he may take the appropriate action needed to respond to them.

Eventually, when the whole world was finished being constructed, as to would the formation of a seal within himself. Referring back to the blessings, Cirno's Holy Aether was busy imprinting an ethereal seal within his body from these constructs of himself. As, in other words, she was taking his willpower and creed to heroism in order to use that internal symbolism to empower the male and bond him to his word. Should he fall astray from his path, ideals and sense of self, then as to would this great power begin to leave and fail him. As these were the protocols inscribed within his seal and the trick to getting her form of magic to work properly and fluently.

Therefore, The Angel Of The Ice turned her frigid stare back to The Machine and simply asked this of him:

"I want you to place your hand on the ground and imprint the memories of your resolve, the reasons for you throwing away your spirit and the end-all of your goal into your inner world. It might not make sense to you, but just recall those memories and my seal that I've placed within you will finalize it and activate. I just want you to remember and stay true to that creed before we carry on."

And, with those stern words uttered out of the mouth of Cirno, she would await and observe the males response to see just what would occur next.
