The night sky lit up with sparks and flames! Over the roof tops of the abandoned city the Vanguard used for a battle ground, one man was taking full advantage of the open space and those that resided here to do battle. The clash of steel sounded loudly across the city scape, multiple soldiers darting from one building to the next as they fought one another. Even in dusk, there were plenty that were still active and about to test themselves against. the majority of those gathered had all taken on a single target. Dellapero Grance, a nameless face of a warrior but a powerhouse all the same had come to see just how far the forces of his own side could compare to him. He had both of his swords dawned, his footwork exceptional in an environment he excelled in. There were at least five various soldiers from different branches of the Vanguard following him, coordinating their attacks accordingly to leave as few openings to defend or counter attack.
That type of situation was the exact reason the Unknown was there though. He had not only put such odds against himself,. but had his weighted restraints reinforced for the purpose of the training exercise. They had bene doubled,. putting a crushing weight across the Human's entire body that could crush most ordinary people to dust. He was felling it alright, but it did little to deter him in a place like the forgotten city. He leaped between onslaughts of blades, a few of them nicking his scarf and shoulders. He darted from the rooftop to moving across the side of skyscraper! His momentum and footwork were more than enough to defy gravity and run across the metallic surface. The wave of foot soldiers followed right behind him, several leaping at him from the roofs with blades dawned.
Grance twisted his body, jumping from the wall at just the right moment to avoid them and sending a spinning kick not just through one, but two of the operative at his rear! Even restrained, his strength was difficult to contend with. His opponent's weren't the weakest lot, but far from a proper challenge for someone on his caliber. His strike created a shock wave of force, the two unfortunate souls knocked out of the air and out of the fight in one move! Their bodies broke through the stone walls of the adjacent structure, smoke and debris spilling out from the point of impact. They were left with minor wounds, cracked ribs, and the wind knocked out of them. The swordsman bounced off the wall of that same structure, leaping high into the sky!
This wasn't without retaliation. The three remaining operatives charged after him,, their weapons dawned and ready to cut into him from three sides! Dellapero's body began to twist again, sparks of green electricity flowing around his body as they got closer. Using his restricted, but still impressive speed, his body began to spin! In only a moment he had gone from a stationary target in the air to a spinning cyclone of metal that threatened to cut anything that got to close to ribbons. Needless to say, each swipe of the battalion's blades were blocked and cast aside! One was even overwhelmed by the counteracting force of the whirlwind and knocked toward the roof at extreme speeds! They impacted with the force of a car, breaking through the ceiling and crashing through multiple floors afterwards.
The Unknown landed on the same rooftop, smoke and debris acting as a cover for the remaining two foot soldiers to charge at him again from both sides. He took in a deep breath, listening to their approach through his advanced hearing and predicting their oncoming onslaught. He twisted around on his feet, bringing one of his twin swords up to block booth of their slashes. The impact forged a gust of wind that cleared the smoke and knocked debris into the empty streets below. Dellapero jumped back, the remaining two soldiers swinging at him with the ferocity, as he requested of them beforehand! Even together, the two of them were still noticeably slower than their adversary. The warrior broke through their offensive and countered it! With one sword he disarmed one of the pair and knocked back the other. There wasn't a pause in his follow up. A powerful kick was launched into the abdomen of the operative that was still armed. The force of the strike forced them through the air, clipping the weaker soldier across multiple buildings and eventually embedding them in stone.
One opposing soldier remained, no longer even armed after that last clash. Things weren't over yet though! They leaped back, hand poised forward as bright red light illuminated from their palm. Roaring flames lit up the sky as the man built up energy for a kido of some sort! The Unknown smiled, sheathed his weapons in a swift motion while the blast charged. The flames gathered together into a giant sphere of explosive fired aimed right at Grance. he was now equally unarmed and ready to face whatever destructive power that was to come his way head on! The shakkaho fired, the top of the building they stood upon breaking down from the force of the blast. Rather than dodge, he launched himself forward! His bare hand struck forward,, his hand grasping the giant ball of spiritual energy directly. His flesh began to burn, but something stopped the kido from detonating. He stepped forward, pushing the blast with relative ease until it was close to the one that originally fired it!
There was a pause, then a bright explosioon! Dellapero crushed the blast in his hand with a smile, detonating it next to the very one that fired it! The kinetic force of the blast launched them from one rooftop to the next, their body falling flat and moderately burned from the encounter. Meanwhile. Grance was hardly hurt at all. Small burns covered his hand and a few cuts linger on his shoulder. His attire had been damaged more than anything, badly Synged and cut in more than a few places. The green veil of spiritual energy continued to flare around him though. His body adapted to the suppressing weights that encompassed him, becoming stronger by the minute to overcome that restraint and evolve with each passing second. A sigh escaped him. The battle had been fun and none of the squad was seriously wounded, but it still wasn't satisfying. He needed more of a challenge,. proper opponent to rise above like in the deserts of Hueco Mundo. He rolled his shoulders, the five had had beaten down now beginning to get back to their feet and depart to the local medical staff to have their wounds treated after the confrontation.
" I hope the night doesn't stay this boring. Hardly anyone around this late! People need to be nocturnal more often.
