Kensei saw the bala coming in his peripheral vision before it arrived. He turned, his eyebrow raising in amusement as the bala sped towards him, accenting the rings in his eyebrow. He raised a hand, keeping his calm as the energy hit his hand, squealing and screaming for release before Kensei deflected the bala into the dirt far below.

Kensei turned to look at who had fired the attack off. By the clothing, he would have to guess espada. They were the only arrancar that wore a uniform so similar to the Shinigami's own uniforms, although differentiating in color. He tsk'd, what a poor imitation. Then again, that was all the espada were. Cheap imitations of the shinigami captains. Attempts at leading an army that couldn't possibly win their war. Not in Kensei's opinion, anyway.

Kensei quickly flash stepped over to where the kid was standing in mid-air. Turning his muscular body and staring at the kid. "Who exactly might you be?" He questioned, his eyebrow remaining raised as he crossed his arms. "You don't seem very strong to me, kid. So why did you fire that bala off at me?" He looked at the kid cynically, awaiting a response.

Guillermo looked at the man who had come towards him. He felt a strange reiatsu although he couldn’t determine exactly what it was, only that the man standing in front of him wasn’t as human as he looked, there was something special about him, and the Espada supposed that he was about to find out. He unzipped the top of his coat, revealing the tattooed number 9 on his chest, making it really evident to Kensei, answering his first question. As for the second one, Guillermo’s opinion differed. The man in front of him didn’t seem special, other than his silver hair being rather weird for what seemed to be a man that wasn’t THAT old yet.

“I suppose that if you’re not blind, you’ll know who I am from seeing that. As for me not looking very strong, well, at the very least, I know what I’m capable of, and I don’t believe that it is as weak as you pretend. Now, as for the bala...I suppose that if you actually need an answer, my left fist will be glad to provide one” Guillermo told Kensei as he immediately dashed in to attempt a left hook at the vizard’s jaw, also attempting to finish his motion in a way so that his elbow would maybe reach his newly found opponent’s jaw. Guillermo had considered the possibility that he might’ve been outmatched just when he saw how quick his opponent reached him after the Bala, and he knew that he would have to fight a strategic fight, and not get caught too much, because he didn’t think that his body would take as much punishment coming from that man as he used to take from other, less valuable targets.

Kensei watched, his eyes locked onto the man in front of him as he unzipped his coat, revealing a number. Nine. That made it immediately obvious to Kensei who this man was. He knew about the current espada, at least the top seven, but he had never heard of this one, the ninth. What kind of power did this man have to be at the very bottom of the listing? Kensei sighed, he almost felt sorry for the boy.

“I suppose that if you’re not blind, you’ll know who I am from seeing that. As for me not looking very strong, well, at the very least, I know what I’m capable of, and I don’t believe that it is as weak as you pretend. Now, as for the bala...I suppose that if you actually need an answer, my left fist will be glad to provide one” Kensei's expression was that of annoyance as the espada charged him. A hand to hand fighter? Great. Just perfect.

Kensei calmly crossed his left arm across his body, moving his left hand up by his jaw. The espada's punch, and elbow that was supposed to follow it, would stop there, their momentum killed by Kensei's hand. Kensei looked at the boy, "Lesson number one, kid. Never declare your attack. You told me you were going for an attack with your left fist, and then you did. You made it too obvious and gave me plenty of time to be ready. Don't consider me an amature, kid." Kensei said simply before clenching his right hand into a fist, swinging it in a hard punch for the espada's gut at lightning speed.

“Lesson number one, old decrepit person. I declare my first attack so that you know that you’re about to lose to me, and can’t complain about me using underhanded tactics. Had I really wanted to hurt you, I would’ve used something other than this weak combo.” The Espada replied to Kensei, before taking a deep breath, knowing he was already too late to evade the upcoming shot to the gut. As soon as Kensei’s fist made contact, the Espada exhaled, while getting propelled backwards, creating a distance between him and Kensei.

“Even if he’s not forcing it, he’s physically stronger than me. I can’t take too much stupid risks, I need to go on the inside only when needed, and only when I’m sure I can land the big one. No need on pushing to try the Sonido Grapple Takedown, even if I can lock it in, there’s no way I can keep that freak restrained until I drop him to the ground from that height. We’ll need to take this fight below” The Espada thought, making a quick analysis of the situation as he was standing around a hundred feet away from his opponent.

Guillermo dashed towards Kensei, attempting to use a right handed jab towards the vizard’s jaw, before jumping to attempt a overhead right knee and a left forearm slash, the bone on his left hand being slightly bladed on the side.

Old decrepit person? Was this kid trying to piss Kensei off? If there was a gold medal for being a smart-ass, this kid could win it.

Kensei listened to his feeble explanation, shaking his head and chuckling. "About to lose? Kid, I have to be at least three times your age. And with age, comes experience. Now, I know you're only the ninth, but you can't be that stupid to think that underhanded tactics could lead to my defeat. Especially not from you, since you obviously can't throw a punch worth a shit."

Kensei saw the espada dash, and made his move, calmly raising his left hand again, he blocked the jab. The espada jumped, and Kensei was ready, he raised the arm that had already blocked the punch, blocking the knee efficiently. He saw the bladed bone and tsk'd, so that's how this was going to go, huh? He crouched down, sliding his zanpakuto out from his boot and twirling it in his hand, holding it up and blocking the bone on the espada's arm. "You're going to have to do better than that, kid." He said simply before swinging his free hand, his right, around hard towards the espada's jaw, going for a right hook that would send the espada flying and buy him some time.

Guillermo was about to laugh when he saw that Kensei was on the offensive. The arrancar brought his hand in front of his face a tad too late to avoid the right hook, only managing to sway his head to the side a bit, limiting the damage, even if he took most of the punch. The Espada took a few steps back, being pushed away from Kensei as he was punched, taking a few seconds to take a deep breath, seemingly having engaged not only in a fight, but in a smart-ass contest with the man in front of him.

“A knife...Interesting weapon choice...” The Espada thought as he knew well how to handle those, being the only weapon he could actually handle himself. The knife didn’t look like the normal kind of knife that humans would carry, pretty much erasing the remaining chances of the man in front of him being a human.

“Because you think that right now I’ve sent my best punches at you old fart? I haven’t even begun fighting seriously...I don’t like to brutalize old people without any reason, I hear that in this world, it is considered a crime” Guillermo said, obviously lying about not wanting to beat Kensei up, but still hoping that his opponent would take most of that as a taunt rather than as anything else. The Esapada dashed towards Kensei, and when he would be in hitting range, would use Sonido with his right leg to attempt planting his left knee in Kensei’s chest, going past the Vizard, before attempting to use Sonido again to come back from behind his opponent, and plant his left feet in his back with a stomping kick.

Kensei tsk'd again, who did this kid think he was? Did he think he was throwing all he had at the espada? He hoped not, because the Espada was in for a surprise if he thought this was all he had.

Kensei saw the espada dash again, and simply took the knee to the chest, this was part of his plan, as the momentum from this would be used against the espada. Kensei turned quickly, spinning in a blur as the momentum carried him. He stopped the spin, facing in Ryuu's direction and shunpoing above the espada, bringing both feet towards his head. Whether he connected or not, he would immediately shunpo down to ground level, looking up at the espada and sighing. "Kid, we're not going to get anywhere if we keep fartin' around. Get serious."

Guillermo was surprised to see Kensei take a knee so easily, as he was more expecting his second attack to land, having thought of the first one as a decoy. Everything happened too fast for Guillermo to see what Kensei had done, and took the kick, being pushed at high speed towards the ground. The Espada used his hands while in mid air to try and redirect his fall so that he would fall flat on his back, and not risk injuring a bone or two by falling on a side. Upon crashing on the ground, the Espada literally bounced a few feet high and rolled on the ground, watching as his opponent landed on the ground, actually having the chance of landing on his feet.

“He’s just teasing me...Yet, I don’t want to use that just yet, and I won’t let anyone dominate me, I’m the one who should be dominating his sorry hide. I just need a second, and I’ll crack his smart-ass skull.” The Espada thought, as he took time to get up, looking at Kensei. He was beginning to be annoyed by the man in front of him, and was considering getting more of his moves out of the dark. The arrancar sprinted towards Kensei, attempting a left low sweeping kick before continuing with a high left kick after rotating back to once again face Kensei. He would then attempt to finish that combination with a right handed hook aimed straight at Kensei’s jaw, hoping to shake his brain a bit.

Kensei watched the espada fall. Was this guy for real? How did he ever become an espada? Every punch that Kensei threw seemed to be dodged, and those that weren't hit the espada hard. Could the man not see it? Could he really not see how pointless it was to keep fighting? Kensei sighed, raising an orange-gloved hand and running his fingers through his hair. This had to end, or the kid's dignity would get crushed.

Kensei held his wakizashi firmly in his hand, jumping over the sweeping kick with a low hop, raising his right hand to block the high kick, and leaning backwards out of the range of the hook, the espada's fist barely passing his nose.

Kensei sighed, placing his open palm against his face, his right hand holding the wakizashi firmly. He shunpoed back a couple times to get a good distance between him and the espada before holding his wakizashi out at arms length. He lowered it, pointing it at the ground, before slicing up and to his right with it. As he did so, a small circle of wind formed around his feet and up around his body, concentrating most around his wakizashi as around that there was a small tornado. Kensei looked indifferently at the espada for only a moment more. "Blow it away, Tachikaze." He stated simply as the tornado seemed to shrink.. or was it the blade? The wind dissipated to reveal that, in fact, it was the blade. His shikai was revealed as being a small black combat knife with a bronze guard, light purple hilt-wrapping in the center of the hilt, a gray leather grip, and a small ring on the guard's blunt side.

Kensei tossed the knife into the air, hooking his finger through the ring and spinning it in a blur around his finger. He looked at the espada, "Sorry, kid. Like I said, we're not going to get anywhere if we keep fartin' around like this." He tossed the knife back into the air, catching it and holding it in a back-hand style, "So I'm going to try and end it quickly." Before he even finished his sentence, he had condensed his reiatsu around his blade, slicing it towards the espada as he finished speaking. The blade released thin and controlled blades of wind that were all currently en route to the espada at lightning speeds. One aimed for his arm, one for his leg, and two for his chest, directly for the left pec and stomach. Immediately after that, Kensei pulled his knife arm back, placing his other hand under it, palm-up towards the knife, as a ball of reiatsu charged in-between them. He thrust both hands forward in an instant, firing a large blast of concentrated energy at the espada, strong enough to blow off the heads of Gillian-class Menos. Kensei was not done, however. After that attack had faded, regardless of whether it hit or where the Espada was now, Kensei would shunpo directly in front of the espada, throwing a jab towards the man's jaw with all his physical strength and speed, while simultaneously stabbing towards the man's stomach. If the jab hit, he would immediately shunpo back to assess the damage, if the knife hit, he would follow it up by firing another blast of spiritual energy directly into the espada. If both hit, he would do 2, then 1. If neither hit, he would simply shunpo back and up into the air, waiting on the espada's next move.

“Fartin’ around the only thing you can say trash can? If I was planning on actually farting around for so long, I most likely wouldn’t have come here. Now, I suppose I’ll have to stop considering that in your old age, roughing you up or killing you would be a crime...” Guillermo said as he saw that the man in front of him had released a shikai, and started on the offense. The Espada still wasn’t sure if his opponent was really a shinigami, seeing as he didn’t sport the traditional uniform of the organization. The Espada couldn’t move in time taking four wind blades, screaming as he took the one to the stomach, the most painful of them all. The ones on his limbs weren’t that painful, his hierro stopping a part of them, not being able to completely stop the blow to the stomach. Guillermo’s awareness went sky high and his defensive instincts kicked in while his eyes were literally piercing his opponent, his focus allowing him to move to his left to avoid the energy blast.

The arrancar was preparing to go and mount some sort of counter attack when he saw that his opponent wasn’t done. Guillermo took a jab to the chin, feeling his jaw painfully sway to a side, feeling blood in his mouth. He immediately used Sonido to get away from Kensei, barely avoiding a knife to the chest. The Espada spat blood on the side, knowing that he had cuts inside his mouth, and most likely inside his stomach. His white jacket was slowly getting tainted in red near his injured arm and leg. He saw his opponent finally back off, and he took a deep breath. A wind user, who seemed to think he was near invincible in hand to hand combat...and seemed to be unaware of the fact that he’d be proven wrong...soon.

“You want to get your bones crackes that bad...Fine...you’ll have asked for it” The Espada thought, beginning to be annoyed by that fight, something that was rare in his case...Fighting was usually the only place he could have fun...

“Vuélvete Loco...Erizo” He said immediately after stabbing his left palm with the knife he took out from its sheath. A dark purple glow engulfed the Espada, wind beginning to spin around him slightly, hiding him from Kensei for most of his transformation. It took several moments for the Espada’s new form to be revealed, showing that he had lost the weapon, sporting full bone gauntlets with two inches long spikes covering his fists. The Arrancar now had elbows and knee protectors with an inch long spike on each of the outer part, his body’s joints not being restricted in any way.

The Espada used Sonido to get to Kensei, not wasting time to go on the offense, going for two swift right jabs, and a left knee, both jabs aimed at the vizard’s chin, the knee aimed straight at the liver. Regardless of the result, he would keep on chasing his opponent, attempting a left jab to his opponent’s forehead, hoping to cause bleeding and obstruct his vision before he would try to connect with a right elbow aimed straight at the temple, a left hook slowly following, aimed straight for Kensei’s liver, the elbow only being a distraction. Guillermo would attempt to finish his combination in force, using his first ability, the Shotgun, to unleash four successive right straights towards the man’s chest, one on each pectoral muscle, one on the liver, and one aimed at the sternum region.
