Every impact of the Shinigami’s blade against her opponent’s drove him further into the ground, cracks forming within the arena tile beneath them. The feral drive which gripped her mind only grew stronger still as a sudden whiff of blood filled her scent, having pushed the man enough to reopen the wound she’d left upon him earlier, crimson now pooling around the unfortunate Human. She’d managed to grab onto his pinkie finger, and with a single powerful tug it was torn free from his hand, cascading fresh red droplets across the arena floor off to her left. If she had her way she’d simply tear him limb from limb with her bare hands. At this rate Vanyel would falter and her blade would split open his skull. It was only a matter of time.
As she continued to rain down one blow after another Vanyel tried to summon forth a second weapon in his pinned hand. His wrist flicked inward in an attempt to cut at her tail, but she was having none of that. Tightening her grip and sinking sharpened energy dense fur into the man’s arm, Yuki’s tail coiled inwards both to glance the blade away from the fleshy tail hidden within and to twist his arm. She had no intention upon halting the twisting motion until his arm was twisted by a full rotation, both to destroy the muscles and to tear bone from the shoulder’s socket. With any luck he would not be using the arm for the rest of the battle.
Energy was gathered within Vanyel’s body. Even she could sense it. It was considerable too, although she knew that such a tactic would be draining. While using her Shikai did certainly take energy she had been able to conserve quite a bit with simply relying upon physical strikes, although it wasn’t as if she had a choice either considering her lack of kido skills. Regardless, the blast of energy turned out not to be very dangerous. If anything it was focused on giving the man a little bit of breathing room. And, for a moment, it seemed to work! She was forced backwards, sent off the ground even, although Vanyel was unfortunately dragged right behind her as her tail still held onto his arm. That was of course if he had been blown along with her. If instead they were sent in opposite directions then he just might have found his muscles completely torn open by the spikes which gripped upon him or even the loss of his arm entirely! Nor was she clumsy enough to loosen her grip upon her weapon, which she aimed to keep in hand while she was driven back.
Regardless, if she had managed to hold onto his arm then it would not last forever. Focusing more on keeping her weapon in hand did take some of the Shinigami’s focus, and with this Vanyel would have managed to finally free his arm from her grip, if he’d been dragged along on her short journey. A quiet muffled growl left the wolf’s lips as she flipped right back up to her feet, crimson gaze searching quickly for her prey. With his scent captured it would not take much to locate him, although it wasn’t as if he was trying to hide either. Nor could he really hide given the flat terrain they were situated upon. The man attempted to heal himself, managing to at least close the wound again, before suddenly there was a crackling noise.
No longer did she sense any spiritual strength within the man, as if he’d suddenly just given up and died. Unfortunately for Vanyel, such a tactic would not work against the wolf. First off, a part of her motto was to never underestimate her foe, mostly because she was used to using that advantage for herself. Secondly, in her current state of feral ferocity such things did not matter to her: she was out for his head. Finally, she had some really nifty senses. Hearing and smell were both especially potent for the wolf.
In an instant she was lingering over him, using flash step to close the distance. A wild feral glare fixated itself upon the seemingly downed human, pupil slitted as heavy muffed breaths escaped from her clenched teeth. One foot smashed forth, aimed for the center of his body in order to pin him into place and to potentially shatter his rib cage and to rupture the organs contained within it. At the same time her tail slipped down behind her, aiming to wrap around both of the man’s legs to keep them secure together. Finally, her blade was lashed down towards his right shoulder in an attempt to lop off Vanyel’s right arm, both as a way to make certain he wasn’t faking his death and as a way to finally and completely incapacitate him for good. Regardless of what occurred her fingers were gripping more tightly upon her weapon as the drain of her form started to weigh in on her and as she started to slowly claw her way back into the forefront of her mind.

Things weren't going well for the Wielder of Dark Chi, now was it? With blow after blow rained on his body, he had very little time before the strength in his arm would fade, and would be left open to attack. However, Tilian had proved itself useful. With the powerful, but yet draining blast of energy firing off, both of the combatants were sent flying through the arena. However, even before that, Vanyel had been slowly working on that bothersome tail of hers.
While he wasn't doing it very openly, or very loudly, Vanyel had secretly been firing Chi energy through the Chi nodes that the Wolf had her tail wrapped around. Granted, they weren't much, but it was something that he could still use, however limited. After ten or so sneaky blasts to the sharp fur, he could feel it leaving his arm. As their bodies collided with the cold, hard stone of the arena floor, Vanyel could feel something within his body let out a sickening
. Previously laying on his back, the man turned over, vomiting a load of blood from his system that had threatened to do more damage to him.
One of his ribs had been broken. Wincing in pain every time he took even the slightest of breaths, the man knew that he couldn't last long against this girl's strength, determination, and fury. He had little options, and he was going to take the one that would, hopefully, allow him to leave this arena alive. His mind pounded and swelled as the multiple blows to his head from collision with stone began taking it's effect. However, his strength was fading quickly, and his body fell to the ground, just before the little wolf's zipped over to him.
His ocean blue eyes stared at her foot, before gritting his teeth. With his body this weak and brittle, who knew the damage that could be caused from someone of her strength. He had to act fast. His body scrunched up, aiming to become as small a target as possible, before launching himself upwards, narrowly avoiding her foot by mere inches. However, he did not escape unscathed. Her foot had grazed his side, tearing open the wound he had just stitched together a little time ago. The wound was fully open now, and fresh blood spilled onto the arena like a tap faucet. The man was losing a lot of blood...and fast.
There were some races that didn't have to worry about blood loss, but humans were most certainly not one of them. It was a shame that his Yuhe skill wasn't an automatic ability. That would prove helpful in a situation like this. Groaning and falling to one knee, the man's head slowly lifted, gazing into the wild, feral eyes of Yuki Kameko. His eyes slowly closed as his mind accepted the fact that he would have no choice but to do it. Using the last remaining strength within his body, he stood up straight, sheathing his weapons in their respective locations.
Raising his arms as far as the near broken bones would allow him, Vanyel bowed his head in defeat, and his lips slowly uttered words that pained him to use.
If Yuki were taken aback from this, she would have no need to worry. He wasn't about to lie his way out so that he could sneak attack her and kill her. No. He knew that he was in too bad of shape to even try that. As much as it went against his own morals, Vanyel had to surrender. Lowering his arms, his shark-toothed grin slowly spread across his face. He may have lost, be he most certainly had fun with their little "game".
"That was fun....let's play again sometime....Little Kameko."
Small giggles came from the man as he rose his head, aiming to look as amazing as he possibly could, given his current condition. However, he quickly lowered his head to hide the fading grin. Turning around, with tattered clothes, a broken rib, maybe a few broken bones in there somewhere, and hundreds of cuts and wounds that Queen Mana would have to heal up, Vanyel slowly turned to walk away. It sucked that he lost, but...there was going to be another meeting with this interesting little girl. A feeling rose in his heart. He was SURE of the fact.
These two would meet again. And the next battle...would be to the death.

Somehow her opponent had managed to avoid the stomping attack made against him, although not fully. The ghastly wound suffered earlier was reopened, splattering plenty of the man’s blood onto the floor. Given that her opponent was only Human it was only a matter of time before victory was assured. If she didn’t slay him then a lack of blood would. All Vanyel could do now was struggle and thrash against his inevitable doom. He was like a deer with a broken leg defending itself against a hungry wolf. Granted, it was a very evil deer, but it was still prey to her.
As Vanyel stood to his feet Yuki closed the distance, ready to cut him down once and for all. Her blade flashed forwards, aimed towards the center of the Human’s face, positioned to cut the top of his head away at the jawline, to finally silence that stupid smug grinning face for good! But the fight was over and the man sheathed his weapons. Yuki’s resolve to take back control was strengthened, and her blade was stopped just as it pressed into the man’s cheek, leaving a very shallow cut. The petite Shinigami’s arm shook as she fought against her feral self. Finally, after a few moments of hesitation she lifted her free hand up, ripping the set of fake fangs from her mouth.
He already surrendered. It would be rude to cut him down now.
Dense spiritual energy dissipated. Yuki’s breathing grew slightly labored as exhaustion started to kick in. The young pup’s pupils finally reverted back into a normal state; however her slight scowl still remained. If she allowed him to walk away he could end up hurting another person. But if she cut him down now it would be terribly dishonorable. It would be another story if he was lying, and that she would be able to pick up on, but he was telling the truth. This was no façade. He had given up.
There is his stupid grin again.
Gritting her teeth, Yuki pulled her blade back, wiping the blood clean with a sleeve before she sheathed it. A single deep breath was drawn in to calm her body and mind. The scowl disappeared, replaced by her typical composed mask of neutrality. As the man turned to walk away in defeat the Shinigami spoke up in a calm though somewhat threatening tone.
“I know where you live. I know your scent. If I hear that you have been causing trouble again I will return to finish you. It is not too late for you to reform, but this is your last chance. Next time you will not walk away.” === EXIT THREAD === Template By: [ THEFROST] THEFROST Head Admin 2010-06-03 Joined : 17053 Posts : 212 Karma : 26 Age : Purgatory Location : Member Info Platinum Points: (99999/99999) Tiers:

[adm]Giving 72 hours for Henrex to finish his post. If he does not finish it within this time period, then we will skip him and determine what happens to the character afterward.[/adm]
