Subject Post 1PostSubject: In The Aftermath [Protag Organizations/Vanguard meeting]    Wed Aug 17, 2016 11:47 am

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Your Best Friend - Word Count: 914

“..Today has been a wreck. . “

Blackheart had been kneading the bridge of his nose with his index and thumb while sitting in a chair in the command post of the vanguard. Many chairs still remained vacant as the unknown currently was still . . . Up to his ears in paperwork, it was frustrating knowing that right now, even with what he could do there was still some very, very startling matters that needed to be attended to. One such matter was figuring out what to do with the ruined vanguard base that had been slowly deteriorating on the moon. There was so much information that could be gleaned from it, and even more than that, there was something that still needed to be figured out on the moon. How azure died, and how his death led to the moon blowing up as it had. These things and more weighed on his mind as he thought about just what needed to be done even before a new leader would even be correct in timing to take up the mantle. Old issues needed to be settled, people needed to be questioned, about what happened, about where they had been when the explosion happened. Yet blackheart instead of working himself up, would take a metaphorical backstep, and try to calm his frayed nerves.

“..Every day is a wreck, i hope people arrive soon.”

His left hand drummed on the table lightly as he was reading through a particular paper that he had wanted for this meeting. Damage reports of places that moon debris had fell, and further more finally he had gotten a report of the total damages incurred by the shadow fall attack on the moon, and quite honestly? The graph he was looking at was actually quite . . .Concerning, many areas had been either annihilated or destroyed, and the main base was practically just a shell. That was only on the surface of the moon, the inside was infinitely worse, crumbling passageways , half collapsed rooms, probably billions upon billions of yen worth the equipment unusable, stuck there, or simply hidden under everything that had fallen down around it. It was a nightmare that would be enough to drive any one person insane if they were trying to figure out simply what to do with it all. For this reason blackheart had sent out a collective com a few hours earlier to all the vanguard members, from the wardens down the ranks to the very lowest rung of the latter. This after all was a conversation that included everyone, as it would impact everyone depending on what was done with it.

Now. .WHY would he do this? It was simple, elections had been coming up in the vanguard and because of this, eventually someone would be elected, and before that happened it was important to get as much of this problematic nonsense out of the way as humanly possible. Assuming the mantle of leader was a huge responsibility, which would only be made even harder by all the other stuff that would need to be taken care of before any future progress could actually be made. With this in mind Blackheart leaned back in his chair and let out an exasperated sigh, it had merely been work, and more work since azure died. Not even physical exercise, it had only been mind numbing papers and statistics and watching the impending collision of meteors all over the world, a thought that had made him cringe even further. It was beyond unfortunate it was actually sickening to the unknown of the vanguard that all this could transpire, even with them taking active steps to prevent it.

So that in mind, and many other things running through his head he would have pulled up the remote to flick the holographic projector in the back of the room on, a 3D diagram of the moon blowing up with many arrows pointing to both the damage done, sectors that have relative low damage, and evacuated personnel and what was going on with them. The dismal picture, would be blown up while other images of falling meteors in varying states of descent through the atmosphere and then the effects mana wrought with the mad world had been blown up as well. Open riots in the street’s people beating each other and other depraved acts that had popped up almost overnight across the globe between nations. It was absolute insanity out there and active steps needed to be taken, this was a mess that started with the vanguard and so it was atleast in blackheart’s opinion. Partially the vanguards own mission to begin fixing it , to make the earth once again . . Safe for everyone to inhabit.

Song Name: Artist:
Word Count: 807

'He is gone...'

'You can't beat yourself up over it Norah...'

'I couldn't help him... I felt... Useless...'

Sitting within the darkness of her space, Norah Bright was a mess. She was illuminated only by surrounding computer screens, not even completely dressed, as she was just wearing a shirt and her underwear. Nanashi was even in the same general make up, too looking like a bit of a disaster, as both of them had recently lost someone close. Norah who was a big fan of Azure, leader of the Vanguard and organization, was also the man who found her when she was lost after the fall of London, and stopped her from hacking into the Vanguard databases. He even gave her a job and home, and that was deserving of her respect and affection. Nanashi on the other hand, was a Maiden from Eden, but disguised herself as a Zanpaktout Spirit. She knew of Themis, a Titan of Eden being within Azure's person, and since Azure was killed in the Moon Massacre brought questions of her survival as well.

It was quiet, with the sound of fans blowing within each PC case and the occasional beeps coming from all of Norah's programs. She was feeling lethargic, and didn't want to do much, but as she looked at all the screens surrounding her in her chair, she had photos she kept close, and encrypted so no other member in the Vanguard would have access to them. They were photos of what happened on the Moon, for when the base was under attack, Norah hacked into their security database, and snapped photos of the fight that was going on between Azure, and his supposed murderer. She didn't get much, all she got was blurry shots of a male who had red hair. That was just about the best she was able to get before all the cameras went out of commission, and it was Norah could go off of. At the moment, Norah had a program in the background running through the Vanguard database of Most Wanted, and comparing the qualities of the suspect in the photos to the database, but no progress was making headway.

"... The leaders are calling us Norah..."

Norah continued to sit in the chair, wrapping her arms around her legs, sitting in an upward fetal position, ignoring the buzzing of the trinket that notified Monsuta leadership and members to gather. It was something Norah didn't want to participate in. If she could, she would spend the rest of her time trying to find Azure's murderer...

But Azure wouldn't want her to disobey the orders of her leaders...

"Very well... Encrypt the files. I don't want anyone getting access to them. I mean no one..."

Nanashi complied, as she glowed blue and entered the computers before her. Nanashi was all about the data and digital realm that she could catch up to Norah no matter where she is, but she had work to do. She needed to ensure NO ONE would see this information, as Norah wanted to keep it secret, from even her own allies. She knew the risks involved, but considering Norah is one of the most talented hackers and data miners in the Vanguard, she would have no problem keeping it all hidden. As Nanashi was getting to work, Norah stood up and began to clean herself up. She entered her private washroom and cleaned herself up, as well as grabbing one of her signature white and black dresses. After suiting herself up, she placed a light blue ornament into her hair, one that was very special. After fixing it into her hair, Norah was ready to go and present herself to her superiors. She of course wasn't happy about it, but she will do what she has to do.

Emerging from her office, Norah ignored all the eyes that were upon her. Usually Norah never comes out of her office space unless she was called by Azure, so this was indeed a rare occasion. She ignored each individual she walked past, even the ones who attempted to approach her or speak to her. She didn't care about any of them at all, there was only a couple she deeply cared for, and one was taken from her. As Norah approached the meeting room, Nanashi finally appeared as she manifested from a nearby TV on the wall that was connected to the main network. She was in her standard all black appearance as her black ears looked perked up higher than usual. The two ladies were ready to get this all over with, as it was most likely a meeting to discuss the fall of their leader and their actions from there. This was not going to be fun for Norah, but one thing was certain from all this...

She wouldn't tell them a single thing about the photos she took...

Blackhearts mis-matched gaze flickered as he looked up from the spot he had remained in for quite some time. Not a single soul had come to this meeting or rather, no one as of yet. Hence for the longest time Blackheart had been debating on if he should just stop trying and deal with things on his own, or if he should just give up on trying to get important people in the same place to discuss a common issue, but quite honestly it didn’t really matter. So the first of the unknown leaned back in his chair, far enough that he was nearly horizontal and had his hands resting behind his head, biding time, metaphorically twiddling his thumbs until eventually something did happen and his attention snapped back into place, rising slowly. As if there was a thousand things he wished to do, and this was simply just not one of them, and then let his gaze sweep across the room once more, taking in the monitors the holographic projections, everything he had set up and tried to figure out this odd feeling that something was going to happen even though those “gut feels” had rarely been wrong in the past.

Hence as the figure began to materialize from one of the monitors he didn’t neccisarily feel suprised. Now that didn’t mean he wasn’t irritated that they couldn’t have came in through the front door like a normal supernatural being but still. That was a secondary issue he could deal with at a later date. The important thing was someone had come and that meant this meeting could actually begin. Hence without a moment’s hesitation the First of the Unknowns had simply motioned for the girl to sit on any of the chairs that surrounded the oval shaped desk, it honestly didn’t matter which one she took at this point since the unknown could care less about the different thoughts that would guide her to pick a seat, it just wasn’t a priority, such as all the things he had once held important? None of them had been priorities anymore, nothing felt like it mattered above pushing. . pushing so the vanguard would stay afloat hence as blackhearts elbows rested against the smooth black surface of the table and his chin rested against his jaws he couldn’t help but think about him.

About azure, even now his death had been more then a slight problem or moral dillema for the millenia old demon. It had been crushing for him, He had trusted and opened up to azure, sure he hadn’t met the man much but he had been willing to Die for him. Mostly because he was Blackhearts leader , but it was also partially because that had been how important azure had been for him and now? He was gone, Gone. Blackheart couldn’t get him back no matter what and that? That made the unknown feel a dull ache in his chest, something that should be there was gone and there was a gaping hole in it’s wake. Normally he didn’t feel it but when he thought of the moon such bile rose in his throat that if it hadn’t been that he was in a meeting he would have vomited on the floor , and shook with his own memories, the nightmares that plagued him , the fact he couldn’t have prevented this? It Broke. him in such a way that as he thought about shadow fall he could feel his vision turning red but, this was a meeting and personal life didn’t mix with professional life. Hence he’d shove these feelings into that tiny dark corner that was never brought up in his mind and locked it away to be dealt with later.

Then he’d steel himself, his eyes glancing to Norah, taking in her own distress, her pain which to most probably wasn’t visible but to a being that had many thousands of years dissecting facial expressions had been blaringly clear. Her pain made his heart hurt, as it wasn’t just him Azure’s death had affected, it was many many people. Other than just him hence why he had said slowly in a blunt manner that didn’t convey sympathy to her, since he certainly wasn’t giving himself any of that.

”...Thank you for coming, Now then lets get this started. Now as you are aware, on the moon azure iramasha our leader was killed, but the question isn’t about that. No many “people” think he was the one that blew up the moon and now the debris that is falling across the world from how the moon fell is causing widespread devastation. Now the question is what are we the vanguard going to do about it? I know since there’s only one person here i cannot really “MAKE” a decision however i would like to know what you think about the situation.”

Blackheart had said what he wanted to her, to the single person that had shown up thus far, and after that? He had leaned back and let his fingers knit together against the table. He would not speak, just assess and wait for a reply

Subject Post 5PostSubject: Re: In The Aftermath [Protag Organizations/Vanguard meeting]    Wed Sep 14, 2016 11:47 pm

Song Name: Artist:
Word Count: 1036

Slouching in her seat, Norah began to show her attitude towards this meeting, considering that she was the only one in attendance outside of Blackheart being the one that requested the meeting. It was somewhat a joke, in that the recent leader of the Vanguard was killed in cold blood, and yet when an emergency meeting is called, you'd think others would take this seriously, but instead it seemed like a joke to them. Norah was not proud of the fact that this organization was not taking matters seriously. The moon and its debris was falling upon the earth, and yet here is Norah and Blackheart, alone. Seems others would rather slack in their work or sulk at what was lost, rather than looking into the injustices of the world that had befallen then, and this was part of the reason Norah didn't want to share what she had learned previously in her evidence. They wouldn't take matters seriously, even if the suspect himself entered their own compound and started hitting on all the ladies in attendance.

Pulling out a game system, Norah attempted to distract herself. On the outside, she might appear as a jerk and passive aggressive bitch, but in reality, she was hurting. Norah and Azure weren't that close, but Norah had a crush on the man, and he was so noble and kind enough to give her the time of the day occasionally to give her attention. He would talk to her about his dreams and desires, as well as little bits about his family and what he wished for in the world. She would love to hear everything, excited to learn more about her leader and the man she had a slight crush on. Nanashi too seemed to always want to be in attendance whenever Azure was around, and while Norah wouldn't know, it was because Nanashi and Themis would speak together in telepathy, and talk about their goals and plans to return to their Goddesses, and to survive the hell upon the world they currently inhabit. Azure was a man that Norah practically idolized, and now that he wasn't around for her, she felt alone again. First her family is taken from her, and her very life when 3 violent insane women destroyed her home, and now she loses the man she followed because of one man whom she doesn't know of. It was painful to stomach, thus she wished for distractions to keep her mind off things.

Nanashi stood quietly beside Norah as she sat in the chair in the meeting room. The thing is, Norah is the representative in the Vanguard, while Nanashi is her "Zanpaktou Spirit". She is not part of the Vanguard, she works for Norah and exclusively Norah. Thus she was not part of the meeting and found herself not needing to participate. Instead she would remain quiet and focus on the surrounding technology in the room. She wanted to remain focused because she wanted to keep a link with the Vanguard network and follow all the traffic in and out of the organization. What is being said, what is incoming, what is classified, and what is intel? Nanashi, being a networking master, and being with Norah who is the head intel officer, she is capable of hacking into anything within the Vanguard network, this is her home turf after all. While Norah handles the other "Member" within the room, Nanashi will ensure nothing dares attempt to gain access to their classified and encrypted info, as well as see what is being shared.

While Blackheart spoke to Norah, she continued to play her game, not wanting to take part in the encroaching discussion he was practically enforcing upon her. She planned on ignoring him until he asked her what she thought they should do. This was something interesting, because honestly, it somewhat pissed off Norah. She is not in charge of anyone, she is the head intel officer for the Vanguard, and in charge of their networks for their fight against the enemies of Earth. Why business does Norah have in the development of the Vanguard and what direction they should go? Norah isn't a leader, and the fact Blackheart would ask her that was somewhat sickening. Instead Norah was lower her game system and leer over at Blackheart with her very sharp blue eyes. What would look like eyes of passion were instead eyes of heartbreak and loss, as well as anger and frustration, but Norah wouldn't dare present such immature emotions. Instead, Norah only had one response for Blackheart and his somewhat crazy question...

"What should the Vanguard do? Ha, what should we do? Apparently we are part of a joke organization that wouldn't dare take its meetings seriously, in a matter of continuing our success and outreach..."

Norah hopes he got the message. Yes, there should be actions to track down the perpetrator of Azure's murderer, as well as cleaning up and assisting the world that has had to face the collateral of the Moon's destruction, but what can they do when their organization's own leaders and members wont rally to the call of their own duties? They would instead rather be front line heroes for glory, instead of meeting and leading their organization in the wake of such a devastating event. Did Azure select all these people as leaders, because if so, it would be the first demeaning quality of the man Norah respects so much.

After saying what she wanted to, Norah brought her game system back up to her face and continued to play the game that was in her hands. She wanted to remain distracted from the issues that were haunting her mind, and not take part in the potential hell she could emotionally suffer. Instead, she would sit around and await if others show up or not, and only apply her input based off intel or relevant information from the Networks. It was all Norah normally did anyways, as she would only add input relevant to her field. She had no formal battle experience, as well as leadership qualities. It was not her place to make command decisions, instead assist her leadership in making proper decisions based off her knowledge and recommendations...
