Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu) Empty Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu)

It hasn't been that long since the event at Sector T with Nemesis. Ladon only spent enough time to recuperate in the soul society, after that he got clearance to go on a mission in the world of the living, completed it and then he abandoned the Vanguard and the Gotei. Of course he abandoned the Gotei, he didn't care for anyone or anything that was there. All he wanted was to become strong so he could protect, so he could keep all that he could care for in the future safe. As he wandered in the world of the living he had a very faint idea of where Nemesis may be. Of course, there were points when he used a gigai to travel so he wouldn't draw unwanted attention to himself.

There were points where he had to take out some hollows that could smell him just so he didn't have any issues with them. Luckily because of how fast he was travelling he didn't run into many hollows along the way, but they were always a threat. However, all he could think about was finding Nemesis, he had to find her...

However, he wasn't having much luck with that. Wherever she lived was either well hidden or it was because he is terrible at tracing reiatsu. Whatever the case may be he kept following the faint trace of Nemesis that he had hung onto since the battle they had. Unknown to even him, his ice had frozen some of Nemesis's blood, leaving a slight trace of her reiatsu on him. Because of his below par senses he hadn't detected it in the slightest. However, the tiny piece of frozen ice that still remained on his Zanpakutō that holds some of Nemesis's blood has helped him a little in finding Nemesis, no matter how little of her reiatsu was left in the blood.

After a time of travelling, wandering, and remembering how it was for him to be human he finally ended up in Europe, Nemesis's reiatsu getting stronger. He sighed and kept on moving, not sure where to go. He kept following the reiatsu, in his gigai, wondering where Nemesis could be.

"It would've been nice if she told me where she lived... dammit... where are you Nemesis...?"

Ladon keeps wandering, wondering where he should start first, her reiatsu getting mixed with many other reiatsu in the area. Ladon sighs and he keeps moving, thinking only one thing. Come on Nemesis... Where are you... Ladon looked forward, determined to find who is possibly the only one who can help him, to find Nemesis.

He has been travelling for a long while, hasn't he?

It wasn't all to hard to remember the specific signature of Ladon, she did make him an offer that he accepted. What type of woman could she be if she were to not prepare accordingly for an important meeting. Sure, maybe having this 'meeting' in the middle of her small, short vacation wasn't much, but at least this brought the both of them to a fairly nice location. None other than Italy! A place where she enjoyed the cuisine and even enjoyed some of the sites. The sun was shining high above, the air was fresh, and there certainly was a lot of commotion and people travelling about due to the nature of the country.

Each step Ladon took led him closer and closer to where Nemesis should have been, and after enough of a walk, he would feel that shew as very close. Not, extremely close. Not in the market place, but rather a cafe, resting on one of the seats outside of the building, a small paper cup filled with a creamy substance being sipped on ever so often. Compared to what he saw of her at the base, she seemed rather calm and relaxed, as if there were no issues currently. Perhaps the event that Mana had spawned influenced her rather calm nature, since why wouldn't an employee of Mana find peace in chaos? Luckily for her, at least some of the more beautiful places weren't affected, at least not yet.

Her attire seemed to be rather normal. A deep blue shirt clinging unto her form, sleeves cut off only a few inches away from her shoulders as dark blue splashes seemed to dot along the fabric. Lower down were a set of skinny jeans, hugging her legs tight enough to still show off the well toned muscles she had, as simple black sneakers finished it all off. Honestly, it was hard to tell her apart from the others, asides form the size and muscles, of course. But hey, nowadays, that wasn't so rare, was it?

She knew Landon was close, very close, hell she could practically smell him, but she didn't want to give it away where exactly she was. Plus a bit more time to finish her drink would be rather lovely right now.

It had been quite a while since Ladon had been in the world of the living. And boy did things change immensely in the short time he was gone. He looked around, feeling the slight constraint his Gigai imparted unto him. He sighed and shook his wrist, looking at the clothes he was wearing. It was very simple attire actually, black BDUs, gray running sneakers, a blue T-shirt that was rather plain. He also wore a zip-up hoodie over that, though the hoodie had an emblem on the back he didn't entirely understand, which was just a blue scythe with a girl holding it. He sighed and walked on, getting off the train he had just used to get to Italy.

"Lord, didn't realize Italy was this far away..."

Ladon kept walking, his hands in his pockets, hoodie unzipped. While these clothes may seem out of place, he was used to them, at least he was before he died. Anywho, He continued walking, feeling Nemesis's presence even stronger than he did before. However, he still was a little confused by the lay out of where he was. Frankly, this place wasn't exactly chaotic to him it was just too different. He sighed softly to himself and he walked, following Nemesis's reiatsu.

As he walked through town he noticed that this place was actually rather fancy, he wouldn't complain if he lived here for a while. Maybe he could go sight seeing later... but not now, he was too focused on finding Nemesis to go looking around town. As he kept walking, he felt Nemesis's presence slowly growing stronger. Even though he would't admit it to himself, or Nemesis, he was excited to see her. Frankly, he just pushed those feelings back, ignoring them. He didn't need to have feelings for anyone after what happened with his fiance. He sighed once more as he arrived at a plaza like area. He looked around, seeing a cafe, a restaurant, and a few other areas. He kept looking around, noticing that Nemesis's presence was stronger than ever. He looked around the plaza, trying to see if he could find the source of Nemesis's Reiatsu.

To no avail, Ladon can't trace it as exactly as he could earlier. The presence is so strong that it feels to him that is is coming from all around him. He sighs softly and takes a seat on a bench outside of the Cafe. He continued attempting to find the exact source of Nemesis's Reiatsu, to do this he ended up closing his eyes, focusing his senses. Because of this, someone could sneak up on him currently with ease. Even though he was sharpening his senses his other, more human, senses dulled slightly at the current moment due to how much he was focusing on sensing reiatsu. He continued to try and search through the reiatsu he is currently faced with. During this time only one thought ran through his mind: I must find her.

The time for patience has come to end. With how quickly plans were moving along, it would be best if she took some haste to things. Her drink had been quickly finished and crushed within her grasp, held tightly as the woman stood up from her seat and began to step closer. A quick flick of her wrist tossed the piece of now useless trash into a garbage can as she approached Landon. She didn't make it obvious that she was approaching, and with how the sounds of her feet hitting the pavement blended in with the hustle and bustle of such a beautiful city, the only real way to tell she was approaching was from her presence getting closer and closer, stronger and stronger as she neared.

And without another moment's hesitation, she tapped upon Ladon's forehead gently, before moving forwards just as quickly as before.

"Come now. We have much to do, and you have much to learn. I can train you in combat, or I can train you in the way of my boss, or I can even train you in the way that I live. I have options for you, but you must choose and be willing to grow and develop. Fail to follow, and you'll be left behind."

Her words were spoken at a fairly loud tone so that Ladon could definitely hear her, and if he were to follow alongside her, he'd notice that she was walking fairly quickly. The reason for this was simple, she couldn't train him out in public. That would simply be silly, to have others watch and observe, and for anyone to join in or even challenge her. No, they needed somewhere much more secretive, and there were quite a few options. Open plains, a secluded warehouse, or somewhere much better, oh so much better. Why, it was a natural and common place for her, a location where she could put her resources to use, a place that held potential for infinite growth.

Why, the Demon World was a fantastic place for the both of them! Sure, there were issues that would come with it, problems that Ladon might know about if he's kept his ears open long enough. The greatest threat to someone like him was the corruption that could take place there, that could slowly errode at him and kill him. Maybe even just give him certain ailments that makes his stomach retch and his mind scream in anguish. So many different things, so many different possibilities, though he would be safe from the other demons, as long as he stayed with Nemesis or those that know of her. Mana might even have some tasks for him or jobs that may improve his strength or grant him power beyond imagination. Might.

If Ladon continued to follow behind her, he would see that the environment around them slowly changed. What was once a bustling city filled with people soon turned into the countryside, lacking much of anything, devoid of people to stare or watch. A location secluded for the both of them, a place that allowed her to get just a few of the basics down before bringing him to the real test. Things needed to be made sure, how far Ladon wanted to go into the rabbit hole, if he was willing to forego some of his humanity for strength, and if he wanted to truly obtain power, or simply become strong enough to hold a family for his own.

"Ask any question you may have, I am prepared for it. When you are done questioning me, I will make some things clear, and ask you some in return. Is that understood?"

Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu) Empty Re: Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu)

After a little bit, not that long actually, Ladon got a stronger feel of Nemesis's energy... She was getting closer.. much closer... So close she is... right in front.. of him... Jeez, did he need glasses or something? He could've sworn she wasn't there before. Whatever the case may be, he was a little intrigued when she poked his forehead. He followed Nemesis as she started to walk away, wondering what she could be going to. Where they could be going. Ya know, all the basics. But... Training... how to fight... how her boss does things and how she lives... Ladon thought on this, keeping pace with Nemesis... Well... all three would be nice... her boss must be Mana... the Queen of all demons. Frankly, he no longer cared about what he left behind in the soul society. He really cared for power... the power so he could never lose anything or anyone. He knew that Nemesis knew this... He shook his head and kept pace with Nemesis. He wouldn't lost her now.

He had no idea where they were going, though he noticed that after a bit they got to an area that was like a countryside. Yep, out of the city... but they were still moving. She must've had a better idea of a place to go than here. Would they go to... to hell, the demon world? Ladon was a little scared at the thought... those places weren't meant for Shinigami.. it could corrupt them and trap them there forever. But... Ladon was willing to do what he had to, Nemesis may even have a plan to keep him from being killed, just by being there, by other demons. Who knows... Whatever her plan was, Ladon had to be prepared... There was no other way to do things. Be prepared and be tough... Though, he was glad not to be in that city anymore, too loud and too many people. Now he was alone with Nemesis... not exactly something he had thought about until now and it caused him to get flustered for a moment before he remembered what he learned in his past... to never become associated with anyone.

He shook his head and looks at Nemesis as she spoke to him. Questions huh? well.. he definitely had many, like where they are going, what she will do to train him, stuff like that. So he exhaled softly and looked upon Nemesis, ready to ask his questions.

"So... First off, where are we going to go? Second, I want to learn as much as I can so... is it possible for you to teach me everything you can? Third... How are you going to train me, exactly..? And just one more and that should be it for now... If we do go to hell... How are you going to keep me from being killed by the natural elements that are there? Like the whole thing about how it can corrupt beings that aren't demons..."

He exhaled softly after asking all of his questions and looked forwards, waiting for a response and questions of her own. They were bound to come, and he too was ready for the questions she may have. He wasn't exactly sure how everything was going to pan out in the future.. .all he knew was that things were probably going to get interesting.

The Bloody Barbie listened to ever last word that Ladon had to say. Why shouldn't she? She was about to take him under her wing, essentially, so having him be as well-informed as possible would be beneficial to the both of them. Emerald eyes never once glanced away from the shinigami's own gaze as she prepared an answer for everything, and a little explanation to give. There was a lot to do, a lot to prepare for, and a lot of training ahead of him, but the majority of it would simply be testing his will to improve. If he could fight through the allures of the demon world, if he could find other ways to improve himself, if he would take the easy way out of signing a deal, or take the more self-reliant path of gaining strength himself? Anyway worked in the end, though it wasn't just about the end product of how strong one gets, it's also about the character they built.

"First, we are going to the Demon World, more specifically, my home. There we will rest, prepare a plan for how you wish your training to go, and execute it either with the equipment I have, or other methods within the Demon World. Secondly, I can not teach you everything I know, because most of what I know can't be taught. It can only be felt. I can train you to feel, but what you do with it will determine if you will take after my form of strength, or another. Third, that is up for debate, but almost all of your training will be physical. Fourth, I will mark you. It will protect you from the sources all around, it will keep you alive, though it will change your... biology. To live like a demon and have the power of one, you need to be part demon, and this will do it. You will retain your shinigami heritage, though it won't be as 'pure' as some would like to believe shinigami are. When you are ready, step forwards.

Two actions were taken, the first being a single swipe of Nemesis' hand, fingers seemingly tearing through the air in a calm fashion as in one moment, there was nothing. The next, a dark green rift pulsating with demonic energy, shining and morphing almost constantly. It was just large enough for two people to squeeze through, and even if one were to stare into it, they would only see black, no visage granted to what was on the other side. If Ladon wanted to truly go through with this, he had to do it blind and put all faith into Nemesis, the one who not only offered strength, but protection until he could fight fully on his own.

The second action she took was holding out her other hand, raising her arm and extending her palm towards Ladon, a faint, green shine being emitted from the tips of her fingers as she motioned for him to come closer, hand waving him over in order for her to mark him. It was a simple process, but one that needed physical contact. Hell, if things went correctly, he would get used to having marks put unto him for power or strength, or even sealing away some of his true potential in order to further grow with less available. Training at full capacity was great and all, but growing as a fighter with only a few of your normal resources took not only true determination, but skill to accomplish. She wanted to see if he would be capable of this, or even capable of surviving long enough in the Demon World. Only time could tell, but right now, Ladon had to make a choice.

To run from what could be his demise, or embrace it in order to strive and conquer the challenges before him.

Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu) Empty Re: Finding Nemesis, Ladon's task (Private, YaoXhu)

Ladon looked at Nemesis as she spoke, paying attention to everything she said to him. He wasn't going to miss a single thing. Going to the demon world after all huh? At least she has a way to keep him from dying there, but, he'll become half demon... That was an interesting thought. Sure, there were other Shinigami like this but, Ladon had never thought of it. He slowly brought up a single hand, his right hand, and looked at his palm; still listening to Nemesis. He sighed softly and kept himself from scoffing at the notion that Shinigami were pure. He looked back up at Nemesis and had a little grin.

"Since when have Shinigami been 'pure'? The name itself means death god or reaper of souls... that hardly seems pure to me."

He sighed softly and watched as Nemesis opened a portal, or rift, that would lead to the Demon world. Ladon swallowed hard. His hand shook a little, the same one he was staring at earlier, and he summoned some Ice into the hand; chilling his hand. He stared at the ice and thought. How he is currently, he felt like he couldn't protect anyone. Nemesis was the first one to actually offer him a way to get stronger. Sure, being a Shinigami gave him power but, even then, he still felt weak. It sickened him at the thought of being weak. Even after his encounter with Nemesis how weak he was became hilariously real. He looked at the ice as his hand now shook with anger instead of fear. He HATED feeling weak and Nemesis has a way to make him feel strong, to make him strong. He sighed softly and smashed the ice that was in his hand and threw aside the shards of ice.

"I'm ready, Nemesis."

Ladon looked back into Nemesis's eyes, his own full of resolve. He wasn't about to give up now, hell no. He came this far, he was gonna keep going. Even if he ended up in debt to Nemesis, which he felt like he would be, he would be forever thankful to her. Whether it was the wrong way to gain strength or not, she was going to show him how. And frankly, being half demon wouldn't be that bad... It'll probably give him insight on the Demon world that most do not have. However, he did know he couldn't return to the Soul Society. Not now, or ever. So, with a long exhale and a single step forward he stood next to Nemesis waiting for her to put the seal on him. He was expecting it to hurt, though he didn't know how much it would hurt. He sighed softly and waited. Now was the time for him to grow strong.
