ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

When Inami spoke to her, it was not through a physical mouth that she spoke, instead, it was an invasion of her mind. It was an intrusion on the one final sanctuary Ceal had. The place that laid bare her dreams and aspirations, her thoughts and her doubts. She echoed around and around in her head as the feeling ravaged her consciousness. It was such an otherworldly feeling. Looking upon this formless Inami, this formless queen, one could equate it to looking at into the edge of infinity itself. The edges of darkness, a place so barren and wasted that even existence did not bear to form. It was an origin both mystical and primordial, something she noticed lie in common with all of the stronger queens of the demon race. Truly terrifying they were, to have such presence, such power and still retain a semblance of sanity from a world so inherently impossible.

Having felt her energy sufficiently drained, she hungered for what she lacked. The Seal of Eris drained her nearly completely to accommodate the pain she was feeling. Weak kneed and swooning, she was barely aware of the cold and sickly touch upon her chin. The Queen, she was looking at her again. Staring at her, staring past her. Gazing into her very soul. It made the girl feel bare, it made her feel vulnerable, at least, it would have if Ceal didn't feel so distant. Twas like swimming under the sea, feeling the crushing pressure depths below the surface as the stifling water sought to drown her.

When Inami filled her full of her essence, of her power, her energy; It felt like she was being pulled from this watery silence, forced to the surface with abrupt swiftness. Much to her shock, Ceal gasped at this power. It was not unlike the times before when Mana had done so. It was this that brought her back, to finally notice the oozing darkness that left burn marks on her skin. She felt like she was on an adrenaline high, a force state of stimulation that felt odd, jittery.

In the back of her mind, Ceal wondered when it would be done. And what was truly happening ot her. She could feel as if her self was “expanding”, rather, like she wsa gaining something new she hadn't had before. Like the Seal but... not, at the same time. Ceal stared thoughtfully at the Queen's dual colored eyes. Wondering, wishing to know more, to seek truth. Though her mind may be clouded in agony, of pain and pleasure both, she still had the conscious of mind to think, to wonder.

Briefly, Ceal's mind drifted. She wondered if this is what she truly wanted. Time and again, she held close to her heart the concept of caring for others. She constantly demeaned her own values, her own accomplishments. She was in a constant state of self-loathing that prevented her from feeling like she was owed anything, entitled to anything. She'd lost her life already; That is how she saw it. She made a colossal mistake, her family, her life, her entire existence was washed away in an instant, just like that. She'd left her adoptive father for this, walked away with naught but a letter. He had been by her side through it all. Come to think of it, he had been there all along, ever since birth. She began to wonder if that seemed weird, odd.

Why was she thinking about this now? Did it somehow play into what was happening? Maybe, in the back of her mind, she wondered that maybe... just maybe, this doctor was more than just that, something not necessarily different, but more. Always keen to check up on her and her brother's progression, their powers, how strong they were, physical condition. Was there an ulterior motive?

If that was true, if it were to be true; it could mean her life was fabricated to begin with. Created for a purpose other than life. With a set duty, a set.. protocol.

The feeling of the mystical energy running through her blood broke her from her thoughts. It was an inherent power that she couldn't describe, but knew she was building up to. First, it started with her hand. She looked at it as if it may be foreign though she didn't know why. Slowly, she opened up her fingers, only to close them again into a fist. She did this several times thereafter, looking at it with a hard gaze. She felt, weird, perplexed even. Her brow furrowed as the power flooded her.

”It's... hard to describe. It feels.. like aching. I feel like- if you had not given me a part of you... I would have already fainted,” She replied, her voice sounding as puzzled as she looked.

It was then that her puzzled faced changed, the expression hardened into one of .. it wasn't fear, shock? Ceal withheld her breath, to nervous now to breathe. She had realized that she had now agreed for Inami to do something irreversible, irreparable. As her anxiety rose, so did the air around her. The air inherently got excited, charged by Ceal's electrical stimulation. A faint crackle could be heard if you listened hard enough, static discharging once it's build up began too great.

They happened occasionally at first, nothing to be alarmed about, but they grew in frequency as Ceal's further slipping mental state was unable to control her powers, especially when they were being molested by the darkness that was ravaging her body.

Still on her knees, Ceal felt like doubling over, she felt like hugging herself. She was unable to process correctly what had happened, and with her slipping psyche, allowed the child of chaos that had been following her, tormenting her, speak again.

”Why... you ask? Why, just look at her. She's a mess. She's such a mess and it's positively... beautiful. A girl of such innocence, of such kind warmth. I want to see how far she can fall before she is broken forever,”

Subject Post 12PostSubject: Re: Diverse Inverse: Encounter of Inami and Ceal [Inami/Ceal]   Sat Sep 16, 2017 10:26 pm

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Your Best Friend - Word Count: 914

Like chaos itself inami’s turbulent mind was a roller coaster of euphoric highs, and dangerous lows. After inami heard the reasoning from her brother about how broken ceal truly was, the bemusement and glee, the wild lunacy that saturated her with dark majesty . . well was gone. Inami’s flat tone was a gentle caress that was a dangerous purr, as if ceal and inami’s brother were simply prey to inami’s predator.

”You want broken?

Inami crouched slowly her left hand reaching out, the backside of her pointer and index finger directing pressure underneath ceals chin so inami could peer down at the miserable trainwreck that ceal had become. She had admittedly found bemusement at her sister sending this girl to her originally, but bemusement was a fleeting thing that could come and go for inami in a heartbeat. As those heterochromatic eyes beheld ceals sorry state, her lips couldn’t help but curve into a cruel smile as she said in a soft voice.

”Seeing as she’s merely a thing that will be used up and then discarded i’m not surprised.”

Inami’s hand inched, gently caressing the soft skin on the underside of ceals jaw. This soft touch would be feather-light; however the energy that would arc from this caress would make ceal feel like she was burning, as if she was a witch at the stake being burned alive. Inami’s eyes would be slanted, hidden beneath her lashes as she purred once more towards the poor being that was about to be at her mercy.

”She doesn’t even feel like she should resist this.”

Inami’s hand reached to the point that her index and pointer would brush past the spot on ceals neck where her hyoid bone would be, just below the opening to her air way; from there it would keep going until the curve between the thumb and pointer finger was flush with her neck. Only then would inami slowly begin to apply pressure as she said in a tone that was sick with loathing for ceals very existence, which was a complete 180 from her previous demeanor.

”Even if i do this, she probably will not defy me”

Inami’s grip increased in pressure as she lifted ceal off the ground, slowly standing until she had ceal lifted from the ground, glancing up at her as a small smile graced her mouth. Her words would be mocking as she waited a few moments to release ceal, her gentled touch sliding from ceals neck to grip her hand gently, her pointer finger curling around ceals ring finger.

”She probably will even find this enjoyable, the little freak.”

Accompanying that lovely statement would be an audible crack, the grisly sound of the girls knuckle joint being broken and forcibly ground to dust as inami applied pressure to ceals finger. Her expression indifferent as she then moved on to the middle finger of ceals right hand, and she said in a sultry voice.

”And this.”

crack another finger was broken. Inami then released ceals hand and exhaled once more before speaking to her brother.

”I wonder if you’ve gotten innocence, and negligence mixed up again . . dear brother.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

It would have bee obvious to anyone, anywhere, when Inami switched her tune. The bemusement on her face, the smile, the grin, it was gone, erased. Through a blurry, foggy field of vision, Ceal could barely understand what the facial expression she was now currently donning really meant. Whatever the disembodied voice had said could spell disaster for the poor girl, and she wasn't even able to truly comprehend the entirety of what that meant. No, it appeared this night was just now getting started once Inami flipped her switch.

Ceal found herself sweating as the darkness continued to warp her body to it's whim. It was a reaction that meatn her body had been fighting back the darkness that would irreversably change everything about it. Finding it hard to breathe, she adjusted the way she was sitting on her knees while her upper body keeled forward. She placed her hands on the ground at either side, looking with shaky vision at the ground. The pain that was coursing through her had been small at first, likely thanks to the Eris's magical ability to convert pain, but now she could begin to feel it. The seal was becoming less effective as the slow burning darkness set her nerves aflame.

There was a burning that was originated from her body now. It was a burning sensation running from her chin downwards as Inami coerced her to raise her head from it's reeling state. Her touch was soft, delicate, but it was cold. Cold in the metaphorical sense, it sent chills down her spine, down her arms. Ceal's widened eyes would be staring up at the demon. It was an expression that was something of a mix between nervousness and anxiety, maybe even a little bit of fear found itself a place to settle within her mind finally. Though, perhaps the oddest tihng is that it would fear of disapproval, a fear that is likely the last kind the girl probably ought be feeling now. She should be scared of the demon queen in front of her, she should be scared of what she could do to her.

The burning spread still across her, spanning nearly her whole body as she trembled, resisting the urge to scream out in agony. She wanted to so bad, to feel relief from this pain, but at the same time, it felt fitting for her. This was the kind of treatment she deserved. For being so stupid, so careless with the miracle she'd been given after waking from her coma. She squandered her life way to this horrible world and this was the just desserts, the due punishment.

Soon, she would feel Inami's hand gently press around her neck. The action itself sent a myriad of confusing sensations throughout her body. On one hand, she knew what this kind of expression did to her. How it belittled her into a submissive little twat, eager for something less than PG13. But.. this, it was also different. Though that was her trained reaction to such, as the pressure grew, making it harder and harder to breathe, her depraved self felt a range of emotions.

Ceal could do no better than merely gasp air into her after Inami let go, breathing heavily as her heart was beating from her chest. She looked up to the Queen with an almost pleading face, one that gently asked for respite. She had been at the limit of what she could take for several minutes now, but she was unsure of how much more their session together would last. She wasn't really too keen on being called a freak, but even names like that, ones that degraded her so were not wholly crossing the line. To be perfectly honest, Inami had the right to call her whichever, It was Ceal at her feet, not the other way around.

The feeling of Inami's hand on hers was passively enjoyabe... at least up until her sudden movement crushed Ceal's knuckle within her fingers.

”Agh!”

The poor girl cried out, her voice a mixture of a yelp and a scream. Her high pitched squeak filled the room and bounced off the walls. Ceal was able to pretty much feel the entirety of the pain from that, as the Seal was at it's capacity. Resisting the urge to flinch away from Inami, to shy away and curl up, she merely resigned herself to biting the inside of her cheek as her teeth ground into one another, wincing from the spike in throbbing, dull pain.

”I-Inami.. please,”

The girl tried to verbally plead now, to ask as passively as she could with her shaky voice to stop the pain, to give her a moment's rest. Alas, her pleas would not be heard as another audible crack came at the hands of Inami, breaking yet another knuckle With it, another scream, perhaps one of more desperation than the first, straight out of a horror movie. The kind of voice that sends chills down your spine just be hearing.

All the while, the disembodied voice of Ate merely chuckled, resigning himself to watching the torture session play out. He did not wholly disagree with her parting statement, but he had seen the inner workings of her mind, and it would go without doubt just how pure the girl was, could have been, might have been.

“Please? Please! Please! Please~ Please? Please!!!!!! P-leaseeeee~ “

Inami’s soft tone was a caress to ceal’s ears. Goading with its soft jeering tilt, it’s musical clarity. A jarring symphony of wails, or grating chords of chaos. Each please was accompanied with inami’s snicker, her gleeful wail of amusement at the state of this girl! This, girl who thought herself to be worthy of reprieve. For a moment she’d stop as she looked at this girl named ceal. Looked at her with that lazy cat-like stare of hers. Slowly she reached up and her smile grew.

Pressure increased as inami’s fingers seemed to shift into sharp miniature spears that began to dig into ceals hand. Bit by bit they would pierce ceals palm. The best part was? As inami’s hand pressed against ceals flesh, as it pierced inside the girl who seemed to enthralled with everything the pain would be amplified through demon magic. However there was a catch to this that ceal would not know. Which was because ceal was currently under the influence of inami’s own demonic energies, inami felt every ounce of pain that ceal herself did.

Yet that would not stop her as her thumb dug through the girl's flesh and coiled around one of her tendons. She looked at the girl and maybe for the faintest of seconds there would be a flash of pain, maybe sorrow in the queens eyes. However it faded into the abyss as inami thought to herself. ”If i a leave a scar that can never be fixed, could i break the cycle for this girl? If i become her inner demon, will that offset it.” As she thought about this she hardened her heart and said to ceal softly.

” Toys get broken. Are you a toy ceal~?

Always the bad guy, always the villain, inami pulled upon ceals tendon. This would drag it from it’s normal anatomical positioning. Slowly distending it in such a way that would cause absolutely incomprehensible levels of pain. Slowly bit by bit the tendon would become visible from the midst of ceals hand. The pink of the tendon with it’s waxy sheen exposed to the air as inami stroked the tissue, causing pulsating waves of fiery pain to scorch ceals nerves, and probably overload her brain as the queen of chaya nation exhaled slowly and said in a gentle tone.

”All it takes is a careless caress, pushing it just a bit too far and . .”

As inami spoke the tendon became further and further visible, until it was clear as day that it was being held up by inami’s finger. Her lips curled into the smallest little smile you could think off, a twisted devilish glee within that grin as she said in a resounding tone.

”It snaps~”

Ceal would probably become dominated by otherworldly pain, a pain she’d be unable to forget in this life probably as the tendon was ripped from her arm in it’s entirety. The ligamental tissue now dangling visibly in front of ceal. Inami exhaled slowly and said to the girl then as she stood up. Her expression to all that viewed it would be of indifference as she said in a tone that was not beseeching, it was not understanding. It instead pushed ceal away. Because she too was a broken thing, and this was the best way she could feel of resolving this situation.

”Run little lamb, aren’t you frightened~? This is what we are, depraved and despicable. Horrendous and vile~ “

As she spoke her teeth shone glinting in the shape of daggers as she stood and waited to see if ceal would try to run, or if she would stay. What she did, would dictate how this ended up.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

Even as the insane shadow was repeatedly mocking Ceal's last words, Ceal didn't want the fear rising from within her to reach the surface. It was there, but it was building, amplifying and folding in on itself. Inami's tone as she gently whispered the word, over and over again sense chills down Ceal's back, adding to her shuddering, shaking fits as she was wrought with pain. Without the inherent manipulation that all demons seemed to contain within them, this was a wound that would take her likely weeks to heal from, possibly months. Inami had for the most part, destroyed proper use of those fingers, likely permanently.

She continued to look up to her with dull, pleading eyes, her hand becoming mostly numb as endorphins and adrenaline filled her veins, Ceal's natural fight or flight instinct showing itself. Her heart was racing, she was breathing heavily. Her brow furrowed into a face of worry as she looked up with that same pleading expression. Tears of pain seemed to mark the edges of her eyes as her eyes glossed over a bit from the wetness, making her emerald eyes even more vivid within the darkness.

The pain did something else to Ceal though. Despite the fear, despite the jarring sensation of her knuckles being crushed, it caused her to regress into something of a more childish mood. Her mind began to show unhealthy images, display personalities that clearly didn't befit a girl of apparent normal upbringing. One could say her psyche was degenerating into something far more primitive than her clear-headed mind usually would be. It was a common state of mind that came along with victims who are kidnapped or tortured for any length of time.

The fumbling girl began to place blame on herself, wondering what it was that she had done wrong. If it was something that she said, or did. She couldn't understand why Inami would do something like this. She didn't realize that there probably wasn't a rhyme or a reason for someone as crazy or as unstable as the apparition in front of her. Ceal's body trembled with this state of mind setting in, her body involuntarily convulsing as it was racked with panic attacks that she could not understand. Did she fear death far more than she realized, or was it just wanting a way to escape the pain that she supposedly liked? Perhaps there was a capping point to everything.

Ceal froze up, fearful of Inami's next move if she tried to pull her hand away and scurry backwards. Still, her mind went around and around as she thought of how this could somehow have been her fault, and wanting to rectify it. Even as the demon Queen formed a clawed hand and began digging into Ceal's palm, -no doubt invoking a face of surprise and denial from the little lamb- Ceal's face contorted, displaying the clear sight of someone wrought with indescribable pain as she was forced to witness the gory sight of the fingers splitting the flesh and digging in, no doubt causing sickening sounds as flesh parted and blood soaked muscle was torn through.

Her eyes widened as she shifted her gaze from it to the queen. She was grinding her teeth together now, an anguished cry escaping through the white as the hand jerked and wriggled in Inami's grasp, automatic reactions of pain intolerance.

”I-Inami.. p-please, My Queen... I-I'll. I'll be good, I'll... do anything, just.. p-please, it... it hurts... I'm sorry.. I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'm sorry,”

Ceal's pleads grow more desperate as the tendon was revealed, as Inami spoke in that same silky toxic voice of hers, gripping onto that fleshly cartilige and pulling on it caused a surge of pain unlike anything before shoot like lightning down her arm. She screamed out, repeating the words “I'm sorry” over and over again, whispering them, squeaking them out among the pain, she was pleading, begging at this point. Looking at the cruel Queen.

Even as Inami mockingly insinuated that Ceal was a toy, she didn't have the capacity at this time to reply, merely repeating the sames words, over and again. She repeated them with increasing desperation until Inami finally pulled the tendon to it's breaking point, forcing it to snap as several of Ceal's fingers suddenly twitched to an eerie halt.

Then Ceal's scream filled the halls. It was terrible, blood curdling. It would give goosebumps to any sane person as the girl's voice would be ran raw.

The fear, as it build up, was met with confusion. It was met with bewilderment and a despair that Ceal had yet to experience yet. She had fallen into a pit, she had been broken. Even as the hand came to a lifeless halt, blood soaking the floor below her, she was reeling in pain, squirming on the floor. Inami had finally let her hand go, not that it did any good. Ceal was reduced to featile position, writhing in pain, reeling from the insane emotion as her body was racked with anguished sobs.

Of course, it was obvious to anyone that Ceal was beyond the breaking point. She was beyond the point of denial, the fear morphing, evolving into something else as her mental state grew further unhinged, furthering her degeneration into something far different. Perhaps it was the Seal of Eris, perhaps it was Ceal's own twisted nature that had simply been in the closet this whole time. Regardless of the reason, the gleam from her emerald eyes changed, they grew flat before the color was dominated by a redness, the hue changing completely as her writhing stopped. Her pain getting dull as her mental state began to slip.

”...Of course it was. Of course, Yes, it was that all along,” She spoke as if she was talking to someone, but she wasn't. It wasn't Ate, nor was it Inami. Ceal was merely talking to herself, having come to the apparent conclusion she had been searching for. Her voice was flat, void of any inflection. She spoke softly, though the tone was raspy as it it had become raw from her screams. ”I've been bad. Bad people deserve pain, to be punished, to be broken. Of course....” She spoke, her voice slowly growing into one of tense insanity, her one good hand rising to her face, forming a blackened claw. Her eyes were wide and unfocused as a her lips fell into a flat state. It would almost look sorrowful, except that it wasn't. It was no emotion at all, a Doll. The hand slowly drug it's claws down the side of her face, the side of her plush cheek, effortlessly splitting the skin as blood flowed freely from the slashes.

She was crumpled up on her side now, her knees brought in close, her right arm sprawled out on the floor as the left continued to claw at herself.

She could have ran, she should have ran. She should have heard and listened to the final words of the Demon Queen, but even as she uttered her words, it was too late for the poor girl. She had already -at least for the time being- completely lost it. Her body trembled, jerked, and wriggled as she was stricken with fits of insanity, the whispers of madness pulling at her mind.

Ceal's willpower was destroyed, the girl.... well, she was broken.

Broken. As inami’s gaze glanced at ceal. At this girl who looked vacant, shattered without hope of remedy. She glanced at the ichor, the blood that flowed from the wound that ceal herself was inflicting. The smile, the cruelty that had been fabricated upon her face slowly fell. It started as ceal began to talk. However right now the queen of chaya nation’s gaze seemed to darken as she looked down at the hand that was soaked in blood. It rolled from her pristine fingers and fell with gravity, spattering her dress with shades of red as it fell from the bump of her wrist. Her eyes followed the blood upon its path, and when it spattered it was only then that her eyes slowly raised themselves back up to ceal. This . . wasn’t it, the plans within her head, the desires that she wished to happen here. . These weren’t it.

How is it? To stare in the face something so . . shattered and know you were the one that guided them every step of the way. That this was the end result of those actions. That was what inami was experiencing as she looked at this girl, at the desolation that was in that gaze that was as luminous as a dead fish. Inami could hear the air as it was drawn into her lips, Inhale. Then she watched the darkened mist that escaped as she exhaled. Watching it curl as it dissipated in the air, slowly fading away into nothingness. ”Is this what i wanted?” the unbidden thought arose in her mind as she looked at ceal, truly looked at her.

She opened her mouth as if she wished to say something, anything;however no sound came out. Her lips closed and she just continued to stare. Then before she knew it her hand was gently grasping the wrist of the girls good hand, as she fell to her knee’s. Slowly she moved ceals hand away from her face with a dominating strength. She held the hand away so the girl would cease to do any further harm from herself. Yet, inami still continued to stare as she had shifted slightly closer. How was there madness in that gaze of hers? The expression merely was one of a being that had long since grown weary. Yes there was a tiredness to inami’s expression as the thought arose in her mind even if she did not wish to think it.

”I’m a monster.”

A sigh escaped her lips slowly, and she glanced down at the torn and useless arm of ceals. At her own handywork. Her other hand slid down to rest against the gaping flesh and with that gentle touch, energy would imbed itself within the wound. Inami utilized demon energies and fed them to the wound, healing it as if it had never been. Then she had shifted her glance from ceal and slowly looked up at the dome of her palace. Even now as inami drew ceal into her embrace, maintaining her from being injured. From being wounded further from the state of her psyche. Only then did her listless voice echo emptily from the confines of her mouth.

”How much further will i fall?”

Inami’s tone was self mocking as she didn’t look down, a soft chuckle leaving her lips as her hair fell across her eyes, obscuring the face of the demon from view as her lips tilted into the softest of smiles. As she thought about how it had all began. What she had strove for once finding herself from this. . ceaseless madness and chaos. Then about how everything had slowly changed, she couldn’t help but say slowly.

”What do you think.. brother?”

As inami spoke, glistening tears slowly dripped across her face as she leaned her head back against a pillar. The streams of liquid gently trailing down her cheeks to drip from the base of her chin, collecting in the hollow of her neck between the collar bones. In the face of what she had become, of the gravity of what she had just did, she didn’t feel sorry, but she felt so tired. This sadness from the knowledge that this was what she had become.

She looked across as she had rested her chin atop ceals head and had said in a soft voice that seemed to just . . lack energy. A softness that would caress and give ceal comfort, despite how much pain it had inflicted upon her. How much sorrow it had caused her.

”..Ceal, you haven’t been bad. I’m the one who was no good all along. “

Inami gazed into the darkness as she smiled softly and thought about it real hard. The horrible acts she had done. The horrible things she had caused. She truly was no good for anyone. No one at all.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

No doubt the demons that skulked in the dark corners of the hall became excited at the scent of fresh blood, at the sight of a still mostly human girl bleeding on the rug of the main entrance. It was dark all around the edges of this room, the only like that decided to shine in was from the moon above, having finally moved enough across it's axis to where it was directly over the vaulted ceiling of the manor, staring back down on the demon who seemed intent to stare up into it.

Whatever the demon had been wanting from this encounter, whatever she had intended to do for Ceal during this interaction. Well... it didn't happen. Regardless of the twisted thoughts, the fucked up mentality, the goals of the twisted demon, they didn't reach Ceal. The broken girl only continued to look vacant on the rug of the room. Her diaphragm convulsed, her body unable to take the shock as she took in jagged, short gasps of air.

The Seal on her pelvic area flared up again, apparently it was desperate to keep the girl within a stable condition, doing it's best with the energy of mania to prevent her from shutting down completely. It's pinkish color spread across her body, basking it in something of very faint aura. It tried to repair her body but to of no real avail. The best it did was numb the pain, to dull it away as it disconnected her brain from her nervous system.

The bleeding, it wouldn't stop. Head wounds, they always bled a lot. Dripping down the face of the girl, soaking her cheek in a scarlet hue, similar to the color of those dead eyes. With gravity it continued to cascade of the skin, dripping into the fabric below her, tainting her golden locks with the color as it soaked everything. All the while, Ceal remained unfocused for a large part of the duration. The only time her eyes seemed to move was to look at the lifeless arm of hers. Her mouth opening, wanting to scream... But there was nothing. There was no voice, no desire. It was like her mind was underwater and she kept drifting, further... and further.

”Bad... bad... bad...”

Her voice, but a whisper, repeated incoherent mumbling jibberish, over and over. The soft, flat tone continued to ring out. If one didn't know better, it would merely sound like groans or moans. Still she continued, even as the Demon Queen looked upon what she did. The sorry shadow of a girl who used to be far different, far nicer than this. She looked upon what she had wrought, what she had done.

What I think? Kin, dear sister, seems you've gone a little too far, didn't you? Did it feel good, to break the girl? You seemed so into it just a pace ago. Mayhap “you” should be the child of ruin, after all? I took such great lengths to set up a proper stage for this one and you went and did a hat trick. Why, I should feel impressed, shouldn't?

And with that, the presence of Ate could be seen dissipating as he went into a slumber, a brief respite after having so much energy drained from him through the seal of Eris.

With him gone, it was now just the two of them. Yes it was just them in this desolate room in the middle of the night. A girl broken, and a demon who, for the first time in a long time, began to feel remorse of her decision. To have wondered how it came to this, wondering why it was taken this far. Unable to determine if it was “really” her end goal or not. It seemed that it caused her to remember something, something close to her heart that lay either buried or dormant for some time.

Ceal almost didn't notice when the Queen came down, gently grabbing the hand that she had clawed herself, but she did. The girl jerked suddenly, unable to wrest her hand from the queen's. That was how weak she had gotten in this state. The touch, it seemed to almost bring her back as her eyes lazily drifted to Inami, clear streaks of wetness had fallen from her eyes during her sobs. Her face puffed from the increased blood flow. In her confusion, in her madness, she didn't feel that her other arm, the one which was torn had been healed. Despite the magics restoring the flesh and function, it was not used. It still dangled as if it didn't work. Perhaps the arm was subconsciously limited in her state of emotional turmoil.

It had taken Ceal a few moments too long to notice that she was being pulled within Inami's embrace, to be pulled into her bosom. That gesture seemed to click something together in the girl's fragmented state of mind. The shaking of her body increased, her anxiety capping as she flinched away. She flinched away so violently that it would break the embrace as Ceal would scurry back until she made contact with the wall behind her.

Her face, it was no longer flat. It was no longer that doll like face that came with her shock. It was as if Ceal's broken mind had surfaced for the first time since the fracture. Having a panic attack unlike any other she found herself freaking out, breathing heavily as she looked back at Inami, a face of pure, unadulterated fear and despair. As for what she feared, well, that wasn't made clear yet.

At least, until a ripple from the wall signified a rift in reality. From it appeared a spear tipped chain. It was a chain of delusion from a form Ceal had yet to know about. It was razor sharp, and capable of piercing steel. It would be no work for this blade to slice Ceal's neck.

And that is exactly where it went

The blade rested against Ceal's soft skin, pressing just hard enough against the flesh to make a small cut, a small incision as blood seeped from the shallow wound. It was clear that this blade was under Ceal's control, and that it was aimed at her on purpose. It was clear that she was going to kill herself unless there was some manner of intervention. In this state of mind, with the broken, fractured mind of the girl. She felt this was all her fault. Even the demon crying in front of her? Her fault. Inami feeling remorse? Her fault. Her arm? Her fault.

Her very presence needed to be erased from this world.

”I'm sorry.... Please forgive me! her plea resounded throughout the room, bouncing down the hallways as she closed her eyes, bracing herself for what was to come. It was the loudest plea she had left within her. It would echo, empowering it's effect, amplifying what it meant as tears flowed freely from the girl's eyes. She was a mess, and if left alone, was going to end her own life.

Right here and right now.

Subject Post 18PostSubject: Re: Diverse Inverse: Encounter of Inami and Ceal [Inami/Ceal]   Sun Oct 08, 2017 9:09 pm

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Your Best Friend - Word Count: 914

Inami’s gaze wandered as she listened to ate. Her smile rose just a bit, it was barely noticeable really. Listless, her gaze seemed to reflect everything, however it took in nothing. monster. . .huh? The thought was slow, sluggish like it ran through molasses in her mind. Yes, yes she was quite monstrous now wasn’t she? How many lives had she taken in her life, the blood of millions lay upon her moon-kissed hands. Yet, as inami asthavons gaze shifted she glanced down upon ceal, the girl who was muttering about how horrid she truly was, the girl who had been broken so. . irreparably that even inami did not know if the girls mind would be capable of recovering from the injury that had taken place.

How long did they sit there like that? Inami did not know, because the seconds became an eternity that bordered upon infinity. Time for her had slown to a crawl, and inami’s breath left her lips once more, the black fog billowing like smog as she watched it. How it crept and corrupted the air, how it blasphemed all it came to touch. ”I truly am ruined huh, irreparably so.” Inami’s dry thoughts drifted inside her mind as she stared upon ceal. Her expression shifted minutely, the smile twisted downwards into the faintest of frowns as her hand gently ran through ceals hair absentmindedly. The golden strands spilled through her slender fingers infront of her gaze. Luminous even here in the darkness.

She felt . . sleepy. Lethargy set upon inami’s soul as the tears silently spilled from her eyes without stop. Her mental processes felt like they were running through quicksand, so slow they might as well take an eternity to pass by. Sadness gave way to. . nothing. No pain . . . no suffering and misery. She was numb as her eyes shifted to glance at the chain that made it’s way from a rift, it’s hard gleaming edge and her hand moved slowly as ceal spoke of forgiveness. One hand slowly shifted as it gently pressed against ceals lips to silence her, but the other. . it grasped the blade with such indomitable force, it slowly pulled the blade from ceals neck as inami looked at her arm.

”You are Forgiven.”

Her words were soft as she sighed and looked at the blade and she had looped her arms around ceal. Only then did her hand drift slowly to her own arm. The numbness. . could it be conquered by pain? As inami’s thoughts slowly trickled down into action, the edge of the blade slowly pressed against inami’s flesh. It was a slow cut really, one that was as smooth as filleting a fish. But even as her black as sludge blood dripped from the wound, she simply didn’t feel it. So she made another one, opening the wound a little farther, watching as skin was carved off her own bone like a carver carving a ham. Moonkissed flesh slowly fell to the floor as she thought. ”..Nothing. . .” Even as she felt nothing she tried harder, slowly drawing the blade down her arm, her muscles relaxed even as she sawed at them.

Muscle was torn from bone, with each deft flick of inami’s hand it was whittled further and further from her own flesh. ”..The Pain is gone.” The thought slowly shifted through her mind, but it wasn’t physical pain. No, even now in her numbness the emotional pain she was experiencing was . . Gone. She had known that the seal of eris would eventually twist and warp her. However now when faced with the truth of what she had done. . It just . . abandoned her entirely. Inami’s face twisted slightly as the cuts grew deeper, revealing muscle, and torn sinew, and eventually bone. Only then as the end of ceals blade struck inami’s bone did it slide from her hand with a clatter and land on the floor or vanish entirely depending on what kind of construct it was.

Inami’s eyes stared slowly at the wound, the blood running from it even as it slowly began to regenerate bit by bit. Even before her very eyes the wound had closed up in a matter of seconds. As if it was never there. As if it never even mattered. Her arms tightened around ceal and pulled her in closer once more. She was . . alone. Even as she hugged the girl who she had harmed she rested her head against the pillar and her eyes once more slid slowly to the ceiling. Only then did her dry voice slowly echo from her lips, barely audible, and probably to no one at all.

”..Brother, why do i feel so tired? . .I feel it down to my very bones.”

In the absense of madness. . Nothing was left. And the void was yawning.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

In this state of mind, in this moment, she was really gonna do it. It was only a matter of the seconds passing as the blade would slip across her neck as the despair reached a boiling point. A small segment of Ceal's psyche returning. It was just enough for her to feel completely terrible about the scene that transpired. To look upon the desolate Inami, tears from the demon's face. Impossible tears from a demonic who looked the most human that she'd probably looked in years, months even. She had been brought down in this sobering scene. She had been forced to look on first hand to the damage she was capable of, to be forced to face something that she wanted to lose. She did she not feel pain, truly? Or did she will herself to ignore it so strongly that it was numb to her mind. Is that the only way the girl could live with the despair of her past, to be able to dive into the darkness and emerge on the other side with some measure of her self still intact? To be able to feel is a wonderful thing, but it is of course a double-edged sword. The more you feel, the more pain you feel. But even with that.. Even with the pain that one feels, there is still the the opposite. There is still the thing that all living being strive for. Comfort, happiness, love. It is all there, one just needs to take it. Accept it, and never let go. For Inami, this could be done again. It is never lost to those willing to grasp for it.

Just as Ceal's blade was about to slice through, there was a hand. Fixing her eyes on the demon, she moved with an uncommon swiftness, uncommon strength. She grabbed the blade by the handle that tethered it to the chain. She easily wrested it from the girl's leaking neck. Through a face of mixed emotional pain, Ceal peered on, not ready to see the Queen in her own fit of sadness begin to carve up her arm. The fact that it was the same arm Ceal had been hurt on was of no consequence. Ceal just looked on, wanting to stop her, wanting to end the cutting. She opened her mouth as if to protest, as if to say something or anything to Inami to get her to stop. Nothing came out, though. She was swimming in a lethargic state of shock, still seeming as if she was behind a sheet of ice. Or on the outside of the window looking into to the world through the glass. She couldn't break free as the husk of herself remained in shock. Any emotions that would try to escape were numbed down, sifted out into the obscurity of oblivion.

Time between them seemed to extend far behind the reality of the normal flow of things. Maybe it was her shock at play, maybe it was some supernatural bond that was either forming or breaking between them that seemed to make these seconds, these minutes extend into hours, into years, eons. Inami continued to carve at her arm, desperate for something, desperate for... anything. She didn't flinch, she didn't cry out, her face was a solemn as it was when she started, blank... tired. Ceal tried to will her arm to move, she tried to break it free of the mental paralysis she was going through, her body felt numb, dull. She felt detached from it, locked in the confines of her mind, forced to watch what transpired in front of her.

Stop... She thought. Still looking down distantly at Inami's arm. ...Stop, please. another thought drifted into her empty mind. Again and again the detached voice of her inner monologue filled that endless void with sustenance, with meaning, with noise, anxiety, fear, concern.

With Compassion.

As the blade dropped to the ground, dissipating. into the shadows as the structure no longer needed to hold it's physical form, only then did the words Inami spoke earlier reach her. Only then did the soft, solemn whisper get heard in this chronologically broken warped reality between them. Those words, so kind from such an unkind source. They melted a portion of the glass that held the girl in the hellish prison of her own construct. Those words: “You are Forgiven”, the rang out to her, resounding even though they were no more than a whisper. Only then did she realized she was now in the arms of the demons. She was in her arms and still looking at the jagged cut as it repaired itself, as if it had never been. What would it be like, to know that you do not die, that you do not hurt, that you do not love, or cry, or laugh. What is an existence if not for emotion? What was a life if for no purpose?

Slowly, a hand from the girl rose. It was tentatively at first, shaky and controlled. She struggled as it was brought up despite their embrace, trailing it's fingers over the smooth satin of Inami's skin. Her arm, despite the cut, was perfect. It was perfect yet it felt so empty. She stared as if she was in a trance, unable to fully grasp it all. Was that even real? Did Inami really even cut herself? Was it all her imagination?

Still, the fingers of the girl were insistent in their journey. They trailed up, with it drawing an increasing firmness. They kept going until it, as well as Ceal's other arm wrapped around the demon. She buried her face in her chest, still wet with her tears, though she cared not. All that mattered here to Ceal, in this moment, was how the she felt behind the glass, behind the prison. She felt, once again, the emotions from the demon. She felt her sadness, her loneliness, her sleepiness. She felt the expiring desire to live so strongly that her heart just might break along with her mind. These feelings from her dark born sister were so overwhelming, so alienating that she couldn't help but reach reach and reach. She would reach into her soul if she had to until she found a hand, a leg... -anything-.

Please Inami, don't feel this way. If you can't feel pain for yourself, if you can't feel sadness for yourself, or happiness. Feel it for me, feel it for our bond. Please, let me in.

Another thought to herself, but she willed it with such determination, such fervor that the demon should be able to feel these words, if not by verbatim, by sheer will. These were Ceal's feelings, true and unadulterated despite their position. She closed her eyes and gripped onto Inami with all of her might, mustering up as much of her own comforting aura as she could. Just like before, though Inami rejected her feelings. She tried. She would keep trying, trying, and trying until it worked. She would until the last ounce of her strength was spent.

"Why, you say? Are you not the sister of lawlessness? Why not break the laws that define you, and forge anew. You already broke the girl, why not break her to your image? There is still yet reason to exist in this world, dear sister. You'd do well to heed her feelings."

I will save you.

With with that, the girl's grip was all but gone as she passed out, that lingering thought strong in her mind as she faded away.

Compassion? . . . Life stirred within her embrace as ceal drifted towards consciousness. As she looked upon her actions, as midnight sludge stained her pure white flesh. Each deft movement, each flick of her wrist smooth as it further destroyed her own flesh. The dreary background was lit amber by the torchlight, it’s soft flickering incandescence illuminating this unlikely scene between two beings who could not be any more different than they already were. One had the power to turn everything beneath them to a desolate tapestry of catastrophe at their whim, and yet had become tired of it all; the other was young and growing into her power, but so vibrant and hopeful, so willful and strong. Yet before inami could further since into the apathy that permanently marred her soul, her downward spiral into oblivion was interrupted by something that took her a moment to register. Yes, that sensation was touch, the caress of another that caused a visible tremor in the body of the queen.

This touch was soft and searching, even as it traveled across her unmarred flesh. As it made its way further and further, inami hadn’t reacted not yet atleast. Instead it seemed like for the moment the mind of the queen wasn’t able to process the absurdity of what was happening before her. How horrid was she? How reviled was she, hated by many;feared by infinitely more. Even as she watched them go one by one, as her heart and soul grew ever weary she did not expect this touch. This sensation that assaulted her.

Was the girl before her trying to understand? Trying to comprehend and make sense of this horrid despicable creature garbed in the flesh of a woman? Even as the girls arms slowly found their path around her bodice, and she felt the complexity of the emotions this girl brought to bare. The vibrance of this girls will shone like a beacon in the dark, like a soft fire that encroached upon the darkness of her heart, and warmed these weary bones. Maybe it was the simpleness of this action, or maybe it was the humanity that this girl continued to display, whatever the reason though inami’s body seemed to release a breath that she hadn’t really known she had been holding.

”Please inami, dont feel this way.”

How could she feel any different than she did, how could she when her emotions had become so twisted, so chaotically gleeful and unrecognisable to her soul? How could she when it was her own fault for taking the easier of paths in the face of so much pain, and so much sorrow?

If you can't feel pain for yourself, if you can't feel sadness for yourself, or happiness. Feel it for me, feel it for our bond. Please, let me in.

Living for another? Was she willing to house another within this. . decrepit reality of hers? Was she willing to? Could she? Inami’s eyes shifted slowly up across the roof above and her arms slowly tightened on the likes of ceal, drawing her in closer as a weary sigh left those lips of hers, black tendrils of smoke wafting in the air as she could feel the radiant warmth of this girls goodness. Maybe it was this, or maybe it was because inami was tired of rejecting. Too tired to play the villain, however as ceal pushed and pushed, eventually there was a crack. Then that crack widened bit by bit until it broke through and the vastless of the hollowness of inami’s soul was left to bear, with it’s cavernous emptiness. It’s imperfections and it’s fears. It glimmered there, lonesome in the darkness as inami basked in the momentary warmth that was afforded to her.

Her lips curved into a small smile as she shook her head. Her words echoing to ate softly.

”..I cannot change, i who transcend order cannot be confined by it brother. I will always be what i am, however i can make an exception. . .”

She exhaled and chuckled as her brother spoke of breaking this one to her image.

”. Only time will tell where this leads . . “

She exhaled and softly picked up the fainted girl and strode towards the shadows, their body slowly dissipating into the primordial darkness once again.

Inami exits the thread
