Sinking in the Sands Empty Sinking in the Sands

Fri Dec 02, 2016 11:02 pm

Time seemed devoid of reason, of notion or a sense of belonging to her. A series of unfortunate and troubling events a few years prior had momentarily separated the young Arrancar and Starrk. It was only momentary however, as surely he would make her way back to her sooner or later. In Hueco Mundo, seemingly like in most places, the world continued to take a turn for the very worse. The Demons continued to be the ruling race, governing over most of the Earth and even the realm of the sands as well. Most of the Hollow and Arrancar had chosen to ally themselves with them as well. As far as she knew, Starrk and her had not gotten dragged into those affairs. Her old companion was more likely to sleep and run into drinking and lazy frenzies before he ever entertained the charade that had become of the current Espada. In her eyes, they had become nothing but a disgrace. Not because of their power but instead due to the beta attitude they had chosen by being subservient in a way, to the Demons.

”Sand. Fucking sand everywhere.”

It was atypical to be concerned with overabundance of sand in a world that was known for being made largely of it. Still, she displayed an attitude that seemed indicative of someone that was irritated. Either because of the way most of the powerful Arrancar behaved, due to being away from Starrk, or a different reason entirely. As was usual for her, she wore the collared and opened white jacket that despite showing her midsection, managed to covered her small bosom nonetheless. Short white booty shorts and thigh high white boots lined with fur completed the outfit.

What...what is that?

Not far before her, and in the same direction she was already headed, Lilynette felt an energy signal that was unlike that of typical Hollows and Arrancar. It was unclear at the time what kind of being it was, but it was different enough to warrant her curiosity to triumph. It also didn’t seem to possess an absurdly high spiritual energy to the point of warranting threat to her own life, so she proceeded. She liked to believe Starrk would be there at all times her life was in danger but that would not always be the case. As such, during the last few years she had made careful and noticeable efforts to improve her own skills to be able to face up against most of the opposition.

Hueco Mundo... how the hell had Ladon gotten here again? Oh, right. He basically wandered here. No shit, he wandered here. How may one ask that question of Ladon would get the answer of 'I just had someone make me a portal to Hueco Mundo...' It was true, he was able to find someone who could get him a portal to Hueco Mundo. He mainly wanted to do this so he could see what options he may have in the world currently; and death was not among them options. Ladon sighed softly as he slowly trudged through the sandy environment that was the ground of Hueco Mundo. He had to seriously place his steps well or her may sink into the sand or fall over on his face; looking like an idiot while doing so.

What? No one could see him? That didn't matter, he still did not want to fall on his face. Doing such things was rather inconvenient and very embarrassing; despite no one watching him currently. He sighed softly once more and then looked towards the giant white building in the distance; at least it looked white. He truly could not tell, and, he also thought it best not to wander into shadowfall territory right now; no matter how much he wanted to see a lot of places. Wandering into an area where people may kill him was not the most compelling thought. Of course, being in Hueco Mundo was asking for hollows to ambush him; which some did.

Ladon looked rather surprised at the single hollow that appeared and charged directly for him. He groaned and drew his Zanpakutō and barely blocked an attack from the hollow before starting to freeze it over. The hollow moved just in time, but, not soon enough for the second hollow that attacked. This second hollow was frozen and then shattered as if it was nothing but child'splay. Ladon looked at the hollow that had jumped back away from him and he sent out an ice wave directly for it's mask; breaking the mask and reducing the hollow to shattered it. With a small sigh he sheathed his Zanpakutō and looked at where the Hollows were. It was strange for this man to look at a beast like a hollow, at least where one was, and look upon it with sorrow. It's not that he felt bad for killing them, he had to or he would die. But, he felt bad for them, for having to die like so. He shook his head and continued walking towards Lilynette, the Arrancar that had sensed him but he himself had not sensed her. One did have to wonder how she would react to Ladon; time to find out.

Sinking in the Sands Empty Re: Sinking in the Sands

Sat Dec 03, 2016 12:51 am

The way the boy handled his blade was enigmatic. There seemed to be some style behind the way he moved his blade. It seemed taught. It seemed taught by people that knew what they were doing rather than his own struggling efforts. Of course, that could have easily being a mistaken assumption. Beyond that, she was amused and intrigued at the way he used the ice like skill to rid himself of the Hollows that had ambushed him. The actual killing didn’t seem to bother her in the slightest however. While she did try her best to stand for her kind, the rather short lady didn’t really see herself as an advocate for all of them. She despised the idea of bullying and ambushes even though she believed one should take all chances to secure victory. Above it all, she disliked the subservient attitude most of her kind had embraced.

Good or bad, let’s find out.

As she walked closer to the being, his energy started to become a bit more clear. It seemed indicative of a Shinigami but she couldn’t be quite sure. Arrancar and his race were not usually in the best of terms, but the later years could have easily smooth or aggravated the circumstances of their relationships. Unlike most of her race however, she did not answer to Shadowfall. She answered only to herself. She would live like that, and she would die like that before she ever changed. Even Starrk, the number 1 Espada listened to her. Then again, he knew best than to upset her.

”You kid, say your name, and don’t try no funny tricks, you got me??”

Lilynette would have spoken right as the two came into view. Still, she needed to be weary of the ice techniques she had seen and felt. Without knowing the full extent of their capabilities or the behavior of the individual, it would have been a mistake to foolishly rush into anything. It would nevertheless seem somewhat ironic that it was her calling the guy a kid. Standing just over 4’8” he looked to be roughly a foot taller than her. Once she was closer, she would look him up and down, and placed her petite hands by her hips, trying to get a better look at the much taller, maybe shinigami guy.

LADON IWASHIKERU

Sinking in the Sands 6EdIfMt

Artist: Blue Stahli - Song: Takedown (Instrumental) - Word Count: 541

Ladon's gaze was soon taken by a figure that was walking towards him, one he could not make out until he got a little closer. He had absolutely no idea that this girl had watched him kill those hollows, and, it seemed like she didn't really care either. With a soft sigh, Ladon kept on trudging forwards until the girl had called out to him; asking him a question. Wait? Did she just call Ladon kid? While Ladon was in no way a kid, he definitely could be seen as so in this day and age; many beings being much older than he. But, it still irritated him slightly to be called kid. Frankly, the Arrancar he laid his gaze upon fit that bill much better than he. Yes, he could tell she was an Arrancar. Hopefully, with no ill intentions either. Sure, their races had been through a bunch of tough spots in the past, but, Ladon had been spared by a demon while he was on the moon. A. Demon. If a demon could spare Ladon's life and offer him power, then, why couldn't Ladon interact with other races? Well, as long as none of them tried to kill him. He did indeed like to live, and dying wasn't on his list of do's.

With a soft sigh Ladon looked at Lilynette, looking into the one eye he could see past her mask, and then spoke to her in a voice that seemed a mix of youth and strangeness.

"I-I don't plan on doing anything funny; like attacking or anything. I'm Ladon Iwashikeru. Might I know who you are?"

Ladon was putting on a slight air of caution here. This was an Arrancar, maybe she wasn't aligned with shadowfall, but, it was still apparent that she was an Arrancar. This meant that she could kill him just for being a Shinigami, but, he would prefer not to die if at all possible. He likely would've done a small bow in most circumstances but, he was a little too worried about what could happen to take his eyes off this Arrancar. Though, he may have been keeping his eyes locked onto her too well.

Why might Ladon's eyes have stayed locked onto the girl? Well, he was a little mesmerized by her appearance; if only momentarily. As soon as they got rather close to each other, and Lilynette was looking him up and down, his eyes had surveyed her as well before they locked onto her breasts for 2 seconds too long and then he quickly averted his gaze back to her eyes; his cheeks a little pink. He was cursing himself inside of his head meanwhile Gekido talked to him in his mind. "Oh look a cute Arrancar. Yo-" Ladon immediately shut Gekido up before she could finish; he did not need her fueling his mind with ideas now. Though, he did try his best to give her a well meaning smile, which likely soon faded after the attempt. Ladon just hoped his self-developed social awkwardness would not screw him over. He did not need that right now.

Sinking in the Sands Empty Re: Sinking in the Sands

”Why, I’m the great and luscious Lilynette.”

As she spoke, there was a very clear sort of pride in herself. She saw herself as a tall, big titted, big butt woman who was stronger, and more important than anything else. Frankly it was all far from the truth but that wasn’t something one would want to point out freely. His behavior had actually surprised her. He expected him to act out rather immaturely, much like her, and cause her to go on a rampaging frenzy. Instead, he seemed to behave rather collected, calm, and gentleman like. He reminded her way too much of Starrk. Irritating bastard that he was.

”Eh? What’s with that name? That name sounds like royalty. Well? Are you royalty? Are you???”

With every word she kept coming closer, her finger poking and jabbing against his midsection. It wasn’t strong enough to be painful or dangerous, but it would be startling nonetheless. Given that he was about about a foot taller than her, she was simply poking around his belly button or slightly higher if she raised her limbs some.

If he was indeed royalty that would have been swell. All the money and free food she could ever want. Of course, his look, and the fact he was in that shit hole with her likely meant he was far from it. She still needed to figure out if he was truly a Shinigami or not. But before she even questioned that, something else got on her nerves.

”Watch where you’re looking, you perv.”

She didn’t look as mad as she would have been had someone actually been trying to behave pervertedly. Instead, her behavior stemmed out of not being sure. She wasn’t sure if he was looking at her semi flat bosom because he liked it, or because he found it funny. Still, she found herself tilting to the side just some, the lining of her booty shorts more in line of view, almost as if trying to point out her bosom was far from being her best asset. Still, beyond the odd meeting of the two beings, she had an eerie feeling as if their meeting would soon be halted by something greater and worse, but alas, it was just a fading feeling.

LADON IWASHIKERU

Sinking in the Sands 6EdIfMt

Artist: Blue Stahli - Song: Takedown (Instrumental) - Word Count: 529

Ladon looked at Lilynette with eyes that showed interest, as well as some confusion. He nodded when she said her name and had a small smile, though only for a moment. Although, he did notice a slight cockiness and pride in her demeanor; acting as if she was a much taller woman. Well, maybe. Ladon was not good when it came to reading people, so, this was only from his own past experience. After all, this girl was an entire foot shorter than him, and cute... Ladon could almost hear Gekido egging him on to get into her pants, but, he had her blocked off currently so there was no need to worry about a teasing Zanpakutō spirit; for now.

Ladon's mind suddenly shifted from that train of thought when he felt a finger jabbing at his stomach. Nearly instinctively, Ladon tightened what little abs he had and blocked the jabbing finger from squishing the soft flesh of his stomach. He raised an eyebrow when Lilynette asked him quite the specific question, an extremely specific question actually. He got a little flustered at the random question of whether he was royalty or not. He shook his head and rubbed the back of his head with his hand while he looked into Lilynette's eyes.

"R-Royalty? N-No... I mean, some of my ancestors may have been, but, I'm not..."

A soft sigh escaped the man's lips after he answered the question; having no true idea if he was related to royalty in someway or another. He shook his head and then realized that Lilynette had seen his accidental stare from earlier. His face went extremely red and he bowed a little, not enough to hit her though.

"I-I'm sorry!! I-I didn't mean to... they're just exposed and my gaze wandered... again, I'm sorry..."

He straightened and sighed softly, looking around the area just to make sure no more hollows were coming in to attack. Hopefully, they wouldn't have to bother with the bastards. As much as Ladon was not the fondest person of killing, even hollows, he would like to keep senseless murder to a limit. With one last soft sigh Ladon spoke once more to Lilynette. His eyes nearly wandering to her backside this time.

"Again, I apologize for my wandering gaze. But, it is nice to meet you, Lilynette. I can see that you are an Arrancar, but, it may not be obvious that I am a Shinigami. To clear up any confusion, I am. Nothing special though; just a man wandering."

He gave Lilynette a gentle smile, a gentle smile from a man who has seen some shit. But, he was clearly nice enough to not harm or attack Lilynette. Or to be a completely irrational dipshit that would attack her for no reason at all. So, with the smile slowly fading from his face, Ladon waited to see what Lilynette might do next; and hold out the hope that this strange feeling in his gut would go away. No, it was not caused by Lilynette.

Sinking in the Sands Empty Re: Sinking in the Sands

He wasn’t royalty after all. Bummer. Scratching the back of her bone skull, she didn’t seem quite as irritated at the response. Likely she already knew the answer, but she had asked nonetheless. Though she tried her best to find ways and reasons to be mad at the boy and scold him, his behavior made it difficult in a way. He wasn’t mean or evil like most of the people she was used to. He was more calm and collected like Starrk. Unlike anyone she had met however, he actually seemed nice and gentleman like. As such, she found it difficult to want to kick his ass without feeling entirely guilty for doing so.

”You’re already said sorry, dumbass.”

The insult wasn’t really an insult of itself. She had a tendency of using harsh words in everyday language despite her friend’s best effort to get her to behave lady like. It was as common and as natural as using commas to space thoughts, or periods to separate them. The constant apology however, and the fact he hadn’t seemed to have look to make fun of her actually made her drop that momentarily. Standing as she stood, she would shift slightly to one side, decreasing whatever angle of focus there was on her bosom and arching her body so her butt seemed just slightly bigger in its white and black lined booty shorts.

He apologized again…

She was likely going to drop the subject and let him continue on in an attempt to allow him to redeem himself from his first impressions. However, what he said after would trigger her. With a quick motion she would raise one of her hands and smack down extremely fast. Though she had wanted to smack him in the head, she was far too short and would have had to jump to even be able to attempt that. Instead, the smack would likely be attempted at his upper abs, though a simple movement or a slip on her end could maybe change the trajectory of it. It wasn’t a slap that would cause injury however. It would nevertheless be painful, as if someone had given him a very fast high five on his abs that left them reddish, and numb.

”Wandering? Wandering??? What are you a hobo? Don’t you have duties? You selfish, lazy, good for nothing pervert!”

She was breathing heavily, with her lips curled as she seemed ready to keep saying things or to deliver another prompt smack. Oblivious to her in her current state however, as soon as Ladon was done speaking and reacting something rather strange would happen. About three towering figures would appear around them, with power and a dark intent that seemed more dangerous than his fate if left to Lilynette’s whim.

LADON IWASHIKERU

Sinking in the Sands 6EdIfMt

Artist: Blue Stahli - Song: Takedown (Instrumental) - Word Count: 515

Ladon waited a little bit longer as Lilynette seemed to just stand there for a little bit. Obviously, he noted something rather quickly; not to say sorry too much. She had called him dumbass for saying it at least twice, at first. However, Ladon was quite flustered and a little out of social practice so, he wasn't exactly the most eloquent man in the world. With a soft sigh, and not saying sorry once more, he did not softly; acknowledging the fact that he says sorry far too often, but, that still didn't help when Lilynette got pissed at him, not did her position that had started to accent her backside. Which did draw Ladon's attention a couple of times. Was she trying to make him notice her backside? Sure seemed like it.

Ladon's train of though was broken by Lilynette striking him on the chest hard, not hard enough to injure, but, hard enough to make him gasp a little and look a little shocked at the sudden slap. His body only responded to take a defensive step backwards, but, he made sure not to try and go for his sword. This was someone to help or protect; not to harm or injure. Speaking of protect, Ladon felt his senses go into over drive and scream "DANGER" in his ear. Even Gekido had broken through his slight mental protection and yelled at him "OI, DUMBASS LOCKING ME OUT; WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!"

Ladon's gaze raised to the figures around him and Lilynette, his face flushing as he lightly grabs Lilynette's arm. Without so much as a word, he drew his Zanpakutō and slammed it into the sand; creating an icy mist while he sheathed his sword and then picked up Lilynette, despite any complaints, and used his flash-step to go a small distance away as he stared running away; carrying Lilynette in the typical princess carry. He grit his teeth as he continued to run, hoping to outrun the hollows and the demon that had overheard the commotion.

"E-Excuse my touch, Lilynette, but, I do believe it should be okay given the situation!! And I am not a Hobo, even I think that's gross!! I'm just wandering because I don't have anywhere to go! Now then, let's continue to run for our lives!"

He continued to charge forwards, likely not even keeping away from the demon, but, barely keeping ahead of the hollows as he continued to run, and run; occasionally using his flash step to get out of the way of attacks and possible blocks. Of course, Ladon's flash step was not perfect so, there were times where he had to make sure to keep a tight grip on Lilynette just in case he fell over. However, for now, he kept running. Currently, he was determined to keep Lilynette safe. Why he could not really understand, but, it's always those strange urges or callings that bring one something good in the future.

Sinking in the Sands Empty Re: Sinking in the Sands

”Let me down! Let me at em!!”

Sinking in the Sands J3Kkb3V

She was ready to fight, ready to punch, ready to unsheathe her sword and jump into combat. It never really mattered if the opponents were weaker than her, on the same level, or like in this case, even someone stronger. The petite Arrancar had the tendency of being rather volatile and jumping into fights despite knowing quite often she had no chances of actually winning. While it did get her in quite a lot of trouble, she was strong enough and durable enough to have last that long whenever she went in over her head.

”And watch where you touch, you pervert!!”

Shaking about in his hold, she would have fought, tussled, and moved around way too much in his arms, likely causing the places being held to shift momentarily up or down. While it was indeed possible for Ladon to accidentally grasp something he shouldn’t, it seemed to indicate doing so would elicit a rather interesting and unique response. Even as they ran however, Lilynette would continue to look behind him, eyeing the three beasts with a rather upset expression. From time to time, she would fire intermittent bala shots from her mouth that would break and explode sometimes just before hitting them, and sometimes just to the side of them, infuriating them even further.

Unknown to both of them, at least at the time being, they were approaching an area known for the weak foundation of the sandy ground. If they weren’t careful, they would quickly tumble and fall through the sand, and several meters below into the dark forest that ran throughout the underground of Hueco Mundo. If they were in luck however, they would have likely stopped just momentarily before. It would lead them to cross some words, and perhaps even swords with the three assailants, before both the aggressors and themselves fell into the depths of the Forest, either together, or slightly spread apart.

LADON IWASHIKERU

Sinking in the Sands 6EdIfMt

Ladon continued to run, ignoring Lilynette's orders to be put down and to attack the enemies. He just shook his head and continued running as Lilynette struggled to get out of his grip so she could attack the enemies behind them. Ladon hung onto her tight and spoke to the thrashing Lilynette while running.

"Lilynette! Please, stop! If we fight them this could end badly!!"

Ladon continued to spring forwards as Lilynette continued to trash in his arms. He continued to keep a rather tight grip on her, even when his hand slipped down to her backside. Which wouldn't have been too bad if it didn't continue and slip between her legs; causing Ladon to touch a sensitive area that may get Lilynette to either shut up or punch him in the face. Regardless, the Shinigami kept moving, ignoring the fact that his face was as red as a beet. As he continued running, Ladon focused and created a path of ice behind him. The path was big enough that the hollows and demon would be able to slip on it easily as ice spikes jutted up weakly out of the ground to stab them. Well, attempt to stab them. The spikes likely stopped their movement for long enough to allow Ladon more time to escape.

After doing that, Ladon continued to charge onwards, hoping his hands don't slip down to Lilynette's ass or crotch again; which they did. She was struggling enough that nearly anyone should have let go, but, Ladon was strangely determined to keep her safe. However, he had no idea he was coming upon the patch of loose sand that would carry him and Lilynette to the Menos Forest. After a bit, Ladon had a nice ice path behind him and the hollows and demon lagging behind only slightly.

"L-Lilynette... whether or not you are stronger than them, w-we should keep running. If we get away maybe you could open a Garganta and we could get out of here..."

Ladon kept running for now, hoping nothing decided to pop up and try to hurt him or Lilynette. Hopefully things would not go to shit.
