THE STEEL VIZARD KING

Hakai Chikara
破 壊 力

The stench of salt lingered in the air, carrying on for miles inland on the coast of the united countries recently brought under Vastime's control. The nation had seemed to come out of nowhere, the previous continent of Africa being transformed into a powerful nation that is capable of mass good and evil alike. To Hakai and Hana Chikara, good and evil were a subjective thought that only mattered to men whom thought themselves above each other. Hakai thought of himself that way once, but in the end it didn't matter. If the black haired vizard was to truly be free of his past, that meant removing all bias towards the world around him - truly neutral in the way of the world. The only problem he now faced was: Who was right? Shadow Fall and others of their kind were vicariously violent, the Demon queen herself a mass murderer in her own right. Yet the other side wasn't so innocent themselves, and whilst their intentions may be good: for one to kill another was still an act of evil, whether or not they wanted to admit it.

"Dad, it stinks of fish. Is this really where you wanted to go? Not into the mountains!? Uuuugghhhh." The voice of a rather mature girl rang out, yet the undertone of her voice sounded young - she whined and complained like a little girl. Her body was clad in a purple leotard like outfit, pads of golden and black armor covering her shoulders while small pads of armor spread out across her body. Standing at her side was the Vizard of black hair, coated in a red cloak. These two were Hana and Hakai Chikara, the last two existing members of the Chikara family. "Hana, you wanted to see the world. Vastime is a part of it, and a part we're less likely to get a sword in the back in." Hakai looked around, standing a good ten inches taller than his daughter. Within eyesight all he saw was water to one direction, the other direction laid out huts and factories, all of which lined the eastern coast of the Vastime nation. People had been spread all throughout the docks, fisherman returning home among just general tourists coming to find their way and discover this new nation for themselves.

The two Chikaras seemed amiss from the usual crowd, the woman covered in purple drawing quite the attention herself. As they walked through the crowd, both masking their immense spiritual pressure as they did so, eyes were drawn and heads were turned to her direction - the mixture of extensive purple outfit fitting in with Hakai's rather vibrant red cloak made them easily identifiable in a crowd. "Can we... move somewhere else? Everyone's looking at us like we're freaks..." Hana seemed fragile, worried about them being seen as a threat. Even with their capabilities, they couldn't mask that much spiritual pressure without leaving some trace. And it seemed to put people on edge. "If people stare, let them. I don't care. We're more than capable."

The steel vizard pulled the red cloak up over his mouth, covering half his face from view. "I want to understand this place. Having a reputation like mine doesn't go over too well during politics, I thought perhaps we could learn by seeing ourselves. This includes walking among the people."

As they continued to walk, a single thought came to Hakai's mind. '... what if they did get recognised?' It was a genuine worry for Hakai, and even more so for Hana. The problem wouldn't be whether or not the two could fight off an opponent, but the power of the individual who tried. They were tourists, visitors, within the nation of Vastime. Just like everyone else, they wished to see and learn about this rising nation. They seemed to have been built out of nowhere, gaining relevancy fast. He didn't know whether they were the enemy, nor did he know if they were allies but he was certain of one thing: They couldn't put a target on their back by destroying or fighting within the docks of eastern Africa. Hakai wasn't worried about making his own personal infamy worse, his worry lay in his child. Hana was young, much younger than most others realised. She didn't need such a big burden, or to ever feel the fear of running and fearing that every person you come across might stab you in the back.

A soft smile was given from Hana to her father. "We'll be okay as long as have each other."

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.

In a land where personal freedom was held close to the heart, once can assume that the vibrant life energy of Vastime was flowing well today in the salty coastal city. Among the tourist and denizens of Vastime one could feel the almost tangible atmosphere the nation had cultivated through it's rapid ascension to a super power. Be it from the street performers entertaining the masses or the soldiers which laughed as they enjoyed a smoke on the docks of the city. This unique combination of personal freedom and service was a founding principle of Vastime thus it attracted good natured men and rogues alike- each seeking to carve their life and fortune in it's lands. Yet, for some it was a chance at redemption.

It was why for this very reason that when Hakai and Hana stride through the streets of Vastime they where not stopped nor biased tossed among them. Where they given the occasional look? Sure. But that was all it was for unlike some former Monsuta leaders and major players on the global scale Hakai had taken a rather lax entrance into Vastime. But this did not mean he wasn't being watched in fact he had piqued the interest of one raven hair'd male who's coffee eyes watched them. This mysterious male none other than Desmond Hayden, the king-militant of Vastime but also their symbol of peace & strength. The salty air just seemed to grow a bit less tense as merchants peddled their goods and tourist took in the melting pot culture of Vastime which formed it's own unique flavor of Vastime.

However, Hana and Hakai might happen upon an interesting sight- one which might help provide some deeper insight into the nation of freedom lovers & vibrant personalities. Among a crowd two men where encircling each other in a circle drawn in sand. The men sported sported shorts as they held bloodied smiles on their face, the husky brawling shoulders of the men rising and falling with sharp breaths- before they suddenly threw themselves at each other. In a flurry of grabs, punches, and jabs the men where having some sort of battle which was focused down and distilled into pure technique and resolve- this was not the display of a brutal blood sport but a competition between brothers in arms determined to push the other to the limit. Thus, from the smiles and cheers of the occupants of the small sandy coast this display hinted towards a sort of arching attitude of Vastime one which sought to push their men and women to the extreme; and beyond if need be.

Hayden would take this time, to begin his approach to them at a calm measured pace before stopping next to Hakai making the effort to keep his spiritual presence as low would be allowed. But, given their power it may prove to be difficult. However, he would find that the intentions of the male where light hearted- perhaps a bit tense regarding Hakai reputation but overall from the sun tanned skin to the taut skin pulled tight over a gladiatorial frame displayed a relaxed stance. The white buttoned up which was slightly undone with rolled up sleeves was only complementary to the fact of who he was- his Zanpakatou tie'd to his waist via a red sash still indicating his other worldly nature.

"It's beautiful isn't it? They way these people laugh under the terrible burden of destiny." He introduced his hands within his pockets, a soft smile on his features as he admired the display of brotherly love and competition wrapped up into the dual of these fighters. "Sorry for taking so long, I'm Desmond Hayden- the man who established all of this." This time he would turn his head to look at Hakai, within the hazel orbs of the male was the extreme potency of pride. It was clear from the admiration he looked upon the denizens around them to the young males forcing their strengthen yet weak and tired bodies to their limits. He had cultivated an civilizations which had it's faults admittedly- one which could easily get caught in their own pride or stick their nose where it didn't belong. But, in that regard he had also created a people which sought to find their place within this new age, who where willing to make hard earned sacrifices that where ultimately what they deemed good.

His hand out outstretch to the man as he began the small introduction, a smile still on the Vizard king lips as he stared into the former Monsuta leader eyes. "Forgive the intrusion but I couldn't waste the chance to speak to someone like you, if you'd humor me. I've heard of you- what you've done." He'd pause taking a breath. "But, also the new path you've began to walk. The same path which I hope to encourage in Vastime- Oh but who is this forgive me are they with you?" He'd inquire as his coffee gaze fell onto Hana, not quite knowing what to make of them. He had heard Hakai had taken some sort of person along his travels, after all it paid to be one of strongest nation in the world; but now that Hakai had saw a deeper display of Vastime and even the man who had established them- what would he do?

THE STEEL VIZARD KING

Hakai Chikara
破 壊 力

The loud chatter of people mixed in with cheering echoed over the harbor, the docks seemed to be rather lively. The two continued to walk among the people and find their way among the crowds, Hakai's giant figure easily seeing over the top of most people's heads. Hana was less fortunate however, relying on her father as she gripped onto his arm as she was dragged through the crowds. After a short while the two had found space, and the crowds seemed to die and gather around an event on the beach. Cheers and exciting yelling swept across the beach front, and as the two Chikara family members walked closer, their eyes fell upon a sort of fight. The fight had people gathered around, each one with an intense grin atop of their face, the combatants themselves dead serious in expression. "A spar...?" Hakai inquired, looking down to Hana and then back to the fight. "I'm sure you could show 'em a thing or two dad~" A soft smile crossed both their faces as they continued to watch.

Just at that moment Hakai was met with a stranger standing by his side. His raven coloured hair mixed in with his muscular and toned body stood out among the rest of the crowd. At first the black haired vizard kept watching the fight; even as he was addressed directly. Hayden was right about one thing: it was a beautiful sight. The crashing of waves upon the shoreline mixed in with the rustling and overall positivity of the harbor made it impossible for one to be mad in it's presence. It was built as a masterpiece, one of which Hakai respected greatly. "Desmond Hayden, huh? I didn't expect to be greeted by the creator himself. Guess I'm not as stealthy as I thought... I'm Hakai Chikara, but you already knew that." His gaze shifted over his left shoulder to meet the eyes of Hayden, moving his body back slightly to look at his figure entirely.

Even as the hand was outstretched to Hakai, he simply stood there for a moment. He looked at the hand, then back to the fight, and finally back to Hayden. Grasping his hand firmly, Hakai shook his hand with his right and pulled down the red coat, revealing his entire face this time. Hana during this time simply tilted her head and focused on the fight, all of her attention was on what exactly these soldiers were practicing. "He missed an opportunity there. If the hay maker was blocked with the elbow he could have knocked him out right there." Her red eyes were dead set on the fight, yet her focus broke as Hakai placed a hand on her head and ruffled her hair slightly. With his hand still atop of her head, Hakai continued to face and address Hayden. "Most people would have tried to kill me by now."

His eyes slowly drifted back to the fight. He didn't know much about "Desmond Hayden", but he did know that the spiritual pressure he was exerting felt strong. Reiatsu was only so hide able, and even with his hidden, Hakai could tell that he was not someone whom he would want to fight around so many innocent civilians. "And what is that path exactly? Retribution? Atonement for ones sins? My path is very different from what you might think." His hand was still lightly placed upon Hana's head as he asked the question of whom she was. This troubled Hakai for a moment; would he answer truthfully and let her proper existence be known? In his mind that put her in more danger. But at the same time, it was not up to him, so he simply beckoned for the young, purple clad woman to respond how she wished.

"I-I'm Hana. Hana Chikara. This is my father." Hana's red eyes shifted to Hayden as she bowed softly. Unlike her father, Hana had only spoken Japanese and was in the process of learning English. As she brought her head back up, she looked at her father and nodded, returning her gaze to the Vastimian leader. "It's nice to meet you, sir. Are those your soldiers fighting?" Her hand gestured to the men on the beach, those of which seemed bruised and bloodied all in good spirits. She seemed excited as she pointed, almost as if she was about to spar someone herself.

Hakai chuckled softly for a moment. "Hana's my only daughter, and last surviving relative. I'd like for her to not be known to the world like I am, if I could ask so kindly, Desmond Hayden."

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

Duck. Dodge. Straight Counter, no wait feint! The two men at the center of the ring where reaching a climax, the varible energy they where exerting was slowly being built up among the crowd. But it was not the energy to invoke fear or wrath but one which invoked excitement in the people that watched, as the men fists bruised their skin and kicks broke skin. It was at this climax that both men let out two howls as their bodies gave it their all in one final mighty push of willpower! Their fists moving in an almost slow motion, time seeming to stop for these two men- the world fading to black before it all happened: An explosion of color and cheers as fist struck bone and bone met fix.

One of the men head's would shoot back as his arm was thrown upwards, the man had sent what could only what describe was a monsterous blow of willpower, the literal sweat being knocked into the air along with a cloud of steam. The man eyes went blank for a second as his conscious immediately faded into nothing, the competitor of his could only be described as a rival as he himself was slightly hunched over from the blow. The air was heavy, silent even as the two remained frozen in place nether able to move but refusing to be the first to fall down. This was the burning spirit of Vastime condensed into a fight between two young arrogant fighters- but between these all a smile glanced the face of one of the men before followed by the other.

Searching For Answers, Or Perhaps Common Ground [Hakai/Hana/Hayden] C5cf49814b7ecaf7ccbd250416e69066

The sound of bodies hitting the dull sand was heard briefly, a small cloud of smoke rising as a testament to these young men resolve. In a flurry of shouting and yells a vibrant and lively energy was felt throughout the crowd as their mentors rushed to them, their bodies supported by their aging friends. Yet, as they where taken away from each other they couldn't help but extend their bare knuckles firmly pressing their bruised and perhaps broken hands too each other signifying a simple concept: Thanks for a fight worthy of their bodies.

Yet, as all this happened an equally important event was transpiring. Hayden and Hakai locked in their own personal duel, a jest of words one could chalk this up to. As these young fighters let their burning fighting spirit shine becoming their own legends and their own heroes to their own stories- Hayden sought to protect those stories. It was why when Hakai shook his hand that he expressed earnest joy at having one such as him here, why you may ask? Because it proved that the concept and foundations of Vastime where indeed becoming reality. It was fact, that what he had established was serving it's greater purpose.

"Greetings, Hana. Yes they are my soldiers but I don't quite like calling them that right now. Because for now, they are brothers- brothers who want to see the other improve." The man voice effortlessly switched into Japanese showcasing the amount of years he had spent their, after all having served the Gotei and Vanguard he had to learn many native tongues. "They are ultimately soldiers of Vastime, not mine nor any other's being. I serve just as they do and seek the same improvement they seek."

He would take this time to shift his coffee color'd eyes back to Hakai taking pleasure in that he was being civil, even going so far as to remove the cloth which covered his mouth. "Of course, your family business is your business. I'll keep that knowledge as private as possible." He nodded fully understanding how the machinations of who he was could put her in jeopardy in a less forgiving nation. But as he let his hand go and his eyes drifted back to the two young fighters getting patched up, smiles on their bloodied face he could only chuckle.

"I'm not like most people, am I? or Vastime for that matter." Hayden smiled at Hakai, it was true their people was a sort of unique breed among these nations and powerhouses of the world. But he hoped Hakai was beginning to understand.

"Not quite atonement or revenge, Hakai." He'd explain softly nodding over to the fighters who had put on a spectacular show, it looked like some new fighters where entering into the ring- their bodies shaking with utter anticipation at their actions. "Frankly, many who enter who seek neither of those either as that would imply clinging onto the actions of the past. We practice the ideas of growth, of flowing- never stagnating. It is my belief that the path you are taking whatever the idea is simply that: A new path." Hayden would devulge to the man looking to Hana only briefly before bringing the intense but warm eyes to Hakai.

"You are striking into this world, which you have done harm once- you are coming into this new age attempting a new path. I would be a fool to deny you right into Vastime, because at the end of the day you are a testament to the ideas which we so often seek to explore. It is that reason that no man draws a weapon on you- it is that reason I came to you with respect."

THE STEEL VIZARD KING

Hakai Chikara
破 壊 力

This was a surprise to both Chikaras indeed. From most locations, people fighting like this right in the middle of a public area would be clamped down upon and quelled within moments of it starting. Yet this wasn't vicious, was it? As Hakai and Hana continued to observe the brothers in arms, a grin was present among all of their faces, happy to spill blood in order to better one another. Vastime was many things, powerful and strong, but it seemed that friendship and comradery prevailed among everything else. Even a trained martial artist with the skill level of Hakai Chikara could tell these soldiers were no pushovers, they could withstand many attacks and dish out equally as painful ones. If Desmond Hayden had been preparing these men and women for war, it was clear every single soldier was ready to lay their lives down in the process. A respectable mindset, yet somewhat folly and perhaps misguided, in the mind of Hakai.

Even as Hayden addressed the purple haired Vizard, she couldn't help but keep her eyes glued to the fight. Whilst this may have seemed ruined to some, she was still listening to every word he said, simply distracted visually. "Brothers, soldiers -- however you wish to describe them. They fight well regardless, almost makes me wanna get out thereeeeee." Hana was becoming giddy, her body bounced up and down from the tips of her feet, hands put onto the railing in front of her as she leaned over, long purple hair flowing forwards with her upper body. "So excitiiinnnngg!" At this point Hakai simply chuckled to himself, his daughter seemed to be purely infatuated with the fight before her, and even as the fight stopped she watched and waited to see if any other people would begin a spar.

"Thank you, it's hard to find people willing to keep that type of information to themselves." Hakai nodded and smiled softly to the Vastimian leader. He didn't know the intentions of Hayden, he could have simply lied to his face right now, but that didn't seem like the man Hayden was. Hakai's worry was well founded, many people whom have tried to kill him were once allies, someone whom he put his faith in. 'Only time will tell, I guess.' Hakai thought. The steel vizard's eyes scanned the surroundings, crowds continuing to back around and wander the harbor. For a country once on it's last legs, Vastime had done a beautiful job in rebuilding some semblance of order and protection, but there was still much unanswered. What did it mean to have a protection like Vastime? What cost? Not just monetary, but the further they grew, the more enemies were made. Perhaps it was but a temporary protection before something worse came along.

His eyes flickered back to Hayden as he spoke. "No, you aren't like most others. Vastime is a fast growing nation, I wonder how Shadow Fall and the Kokuyruteishi like it." His worry was expressed through this, a nation that grew in power was bound to gain some attention on a multi-dimensional scale. How Vastime dealt with that and perhaps stopped things from escalating into all out war would be curious, or perhaps that was what they were gunning for? A rather terrifying idea if so. "So we're supposed to move on from the past entirely? Growing and keeping yourself moving forward is good, but not at a loss of what you once were." Hakai took a moment to collect his thoughts, head turned to the ground as he spoke with a somber tone, eyes closed. "I can't remove what I've done, and I should never forget. It's a stain upon my soul that cannot be removed. The path I seek isn't good, nor is it evil. But perhaps to clear my conscience, I guess." His eyes opened again, meeting the coffee toned eyes of Hayden as he did. "Besides, what does me being here do for you? You greeting me like so is a testament to my legacy, even though I'm here as a simple nomad."

Hakai sighed to himself as he turned to his daughter, that of which was standing at Hakai's side, red spear attached to her back, that of which was about as tall as her father. With a strong Japanese voice, Hana spoke and nodded respectfully to the Vastime leader. "I don't know what we can offer you either, Desmond Hayden. We're independent, and that's the way we wish it to stay." Nodding respectfully and then into a bow, Hana crossed her arms and straightened her back, tilting her head to the side and intently watched Hayden.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

In a land of rising stars, fallen gods, and titans Hayden often found himself being guided rather than guiding his people. He simply acted as the tool in which this was all founded with, utilizing his resources and own abilities to enhance the ideas which he sought to enforce. But deep within he knew the true purpose of Vastime, that the inner movements and creations of this nation was all once founded as a means to oppose Shadowfall which gradually involved into something new. He had perhaps help cultivate the best generations of soldiers and craftsmen this side of the century- each one understanding that he or she would be required to answer a call of duty far beyond their station within the coming months.

"Shadowfall grows wearisome, K-world have been silent. The mechanization of man and the growth of Vastime will attract attention but it is far too late for Shadowfall to simply crush us." The male explained with a sigh sticking his hands within his pockets leaning towards the crowd as they spoke amonsgt themselves, some new batch of young ambitious fighters and soldiers decided they wanted to prove their mettle. His eyes softening at the result of his fruits and labors, such raw talent was being displayed- the best minds of their generation. The man shifted his weight letting out a deep sigh, one which seemed to showcase an unknowing strain on the man.

"I never said forget who you where or what you did, but too late it entirely dictate the rest of your life is foolish too is it now?" He inquired his voice displaying in a curious tone the thoughts of the man. While growth was good one must recognize their was growth to be had, if Hakai truly believed his sins where unwashable then why carry on? For Hayden it was a simple answer, out of necessity. "Don't forget what you did, never forget, but that very fact you are attempting to clear your conscience in some regard is fine by more." The male explained his further reasoning removing his hands from his pockets as he let out a hum.

"I believe, Hakai Hana, that your independence is your greatest strength- a luxury which I do not have. I did not come here for a simple chat as you most likely know, in fact you ask what you could do for me so I shall make a proposition." Hayden further hinted towards, the coffee orbs hardening ever so slightly an intensity which reflected that of a man who sought to bring about change- or perhaps ambition. The tangible aura of the crowd almost as strong as the strong force of will which Hayden was emitting, not quite on purpose but due to how serious his intentions where to convey his thoughts to the man. "I don't want you to declare allegiance to my mind, I don't want you to go on a shadowfall attack- I just wish for you to consider that the best minds of our generation are wasting away in a pit of depravity; each day Vastime grows stronger and poses a bigger threat to shadowfall." The male would take a breath, his eyes turning to the crowd as a husky laugh was heard from it- hands shakes being shared and the occasional tired hug.

"I don't think you'll get to be neutral in what comes next in the world, I think- and this may be bold to say, that the chance to clear your conscience is right in front of you." The male explained beginning to take a step away from the ground, while the fighting was intensive and Hana might be upset he did motion ever so slightly for Hakai to follow him and in turn Hana. This talk was one of an intense nature, it was better to always walk and talk on a lovely day like this. This man which was before him was such an interesting case, Hayden wondering how he could convey his interests without coming across as trying to preach or subject him to some windy excuse. In the end, he simply wanted an understanding.

"I've been rambling. All fanciness aside, it boils down to this." The male went with the blunt route turning to face the man to look him in the eyes, the intense eyes which easily convey'd the intensity of his eyes. This was a man who had to stand in the face of the two most powerful if not down right evil organizations in the world and tell them simple: No. It was why he spoke truthfully with Hakai. "This world is going to go to shit, world war four is on the horizon. If you wish to clear your conscience through your own methods that is fine; but I'm gonna offer you the chance to play some sort of role in new generation- because this-" He gestures to the scenary around them from the clear ocean to the soldiers which trained and fought slightly away. "-This can only be maintained if we act. If men, good or otherwise, take action. I've got my sins as you do, no man is a saint here but maybe that doesn't have to be the way for... people we care about."

THE STEEL VIZARD KING

Hakai Chikara
破 壊 力

Every moment the two tourist Vizards spent within Vastime was filled with joyfulness, even the loud ramblings of the crowds seemed upbeat and positive. Hakai didn't know what it was about this place, nor did Hana, but he felt as if there truly was nothing but good intentions within this nation. A nation once in shambles brought back to life under the banner of Vastime, a remarkable origin story indeed. Yet despite all this happiness, comradery and love there was a feeling Hakai couldn't quite shake. A feeling of uncertainty. Perhaps it was just within the Vizard King's head but he couldn't help the feel every person had a sense of worry, or anxiety even, for the coming events of the world. Everyone knew the balance of power laid upon a knives edge, anxiety filling the hearts of everyone whom had no ultimate say in the matter. An interesting thought despite everything he felt.

"Yeah, Shadow Fall might have missed their opportunity to crush this before it began." Pulling the hair atop of his bandana back slightly, Hakai leaned back upon the railing directly in front of them, back no pressing ever so softly against the metal rails. "As someone whom worked with Kokuryuteshi for a long time, don't mistake their silence for neutrality." It had almost become a sleeper name within the modern age, K-world hadn't shown themselves for so long that they almost sounded like a myth, a passing thought that was once a threat to the Earth and multiverse. There was one thing Hakai knew more than others after years of working and coordinating with them though: Never count them out of the fight. Though they may not be present, nor in the spotlight like Shadow Fall continues to be, they are forever looming, waiting for an opportunity to arise again.

Hana perked up towards Hayden the moment he spoke of clearing Hakai's conscience, that independence was their greatest strength. Her purple head tilted to the side as she continued to cross her arms underneath her chest. "What do you know of my dad's past anyway?" Hana chuckled to herself briefly as a big cheesy smiled crossed her lips, showing teeth as she did so. Hehehe, you and dad are more alike than I initially realised." With a swift motion, Hakai's hand quickly swatted down and topped her mildly on the head. "Ow!" Hana exhaled loudly, eyes darting upwards as if she was mad for getting bopped on the head. Hakai smiled down upon her and smile softly before returning his gaze to Hayden.

Without so much as a word, Hakai followed the gestures of the Vastime leader, walking alongside the raven haired man as he spoke about the future and what was coming. His hands were placed inside the pockets of his black jeans as he walked among the crowd, walking at the same pace as Hayden himself, not even needing to dodge the crowds as they parted wherever they walked. The black haired Vizard's attention perked upon hearing World War Four, followed by a deep sigh filled with worry and confusion. "And that right there is why I'm worried about this setup you have going on." His vision shifted to the blue sky and then back to the ocean, surveying the large ships and sailors scattered out across the beautiful harbor. "If I'm honest, I don't want anything to do with the upcoming war. A blind man could see that war is almost inevitable, but not everyone has to be affiliated with it."

Hana looked up to her father and placed an arm around him softly before pulling herself in. "And what role would that be? Crush anyone whom dare oppose Vastime, fall in line with your brothers in arms and defend what you deem acceptable? I'm done being a pawn of destruction and war, on either side of the pendulum." Hakai's voice kind of became irritated at this point, thinking of his past deeds, the endless wars he waged against others whom were simply trying to get by in the world. "And I will in no way get Hana involved in that mess. I will not put my daughter into the gears of war. I will not be the reason she is hurt... I will not... I cannot..." Hakai's voice whimpered, cracking from irritated down to sadness as his voice wavered, a single tear rolling down his cheek. His chest became to tremble at the thought, losing Hana was not an option for Hakai. She was the very reason he looked for redemption -- the very reason he was still alive.

Hana looked up at her father, gripping on tighter and hugging him on his right side. Wiping away the single tear as he looked at the floor, Hakai stopped walking and looked back up to meet the intense gaze of Hayden. "I'm done with war, Hayden."

A father trying to protect his daughter was admirable, if not down right respectable from a man who had committed atrocious acts once in his life. It was a feeling almost foreign to Hayden never quite having someone to call his own, not since his parents in his mortal human life. But that was many years ago, a younger more naive Hayden who had long been lost to the fires of war and the inner growth of mankind. It was the reason Hayden unyielding gaze would remain with the man who spoke so strongly regard his worries of Vastime but ultimate the fear that he would be the cause to lead to the destruction of his daughter.

It was this reason, his hands grasp each other softly beginning to rub his own knuckles against calloused skin. It was a habit he had picked up when he himself was feeling emotional or strongly centered on a single subject, the display of affection from Hakai making his own emotions flare. The iron will which exuded from the man seemed to warp and shift ever so slightly taking on a dry atmosphere, as if those very words had let out a more closed off side the male. His gaze would shift to Hana the coffee color'd orbs which had seen many horrors and terrors a like- but instead of the intensive look he gave her father, this was more of an examining softer nature. He could tell this man truly cared for the woman he regarded as his daughter- that his very purpose for living revolved around her safety and life.

"Hakai,"
the voice which left the man measured on a even tone but one of firmness- conviction even, "you don't think I would truly ask that of you?" He inquired to the male which was more of a rhetorical question, as if to provide insight into who Hayden was as a man. At the end of the day, he ultimately was a man of honor, something he could not have tainted via abusing this man's actions and past. "If you want nothing to do with this war that is your choice, but I would... be upset if I did not alert you of this." The male would sigh his hands stopping their tireless task of rubbing together, his eyes closing with a tightening of the jaw before his body relaxed.

"You are an absolute fool if you believe you will avoid this war, it is that foolishness which requires I say this. You speak as if you don't want Hana hurt by this war- by this world. Every action you have taken has clearly been to protect and enlighten her, allowing her to grow. But do you honestly believe that when this war begins till it's conclusion you will not get involved, that shadowfall will not take every liberty to abuse their position and those around them."
The male hands tightened around themselves, his body tensing as his own irritation shined through before they released their white knuckle grasp.

It was at this time his arm would come up slowly, before his hand balled into a fist slamming into his chest where his heart is. The male body shuddering as the thump of flesh was heard sharply, his coffee orbs unyielding in their penetrating stare at both Hana and Hakai. "I don't as you to crush anyone, I ask that you only take one action- one duty in the coming months. I need someone indepedant who has a stake outside of Vastime to... be the person who keeps me in check. I require someone who will put me down if I forget my way, if I become the new shadowfall." The male proclaimed to the male his voice shaking slightly from both the pain he had caused himself, but also from the emotion leaking into his voice- it was rare for the leader to break his unyielding stance or conviction but this was the execption.

Hayden loved what he had made, his heard swelled with pride only akin to that Hakai could have towards Hana. It was that reason he hoped the male understood what he asked, the fact being that this amount of power and duty on one man could easily corrupt- Desmond Hayden would be absolutely devasted if the reason Vastime fell was cause of his actions. If Hakai wished for Hana not to be damaged by his actions that was his choice but the world was going to have it's due, this war was going to effect them regardless if they wanted to be involved or not.

"This war, this world will have it's due. Regardless of what good men and evil men will do, Hana will experience pain caused by you just by the very nature of your life." The male spoke softly this time as his fist remained in his chest, almost as if this was a brutally honest conversation- perhaps the last they will have. "Because of what you did, because of this world. But I truly believe you can lessen that but not by running or staying uninvolved, you don't have to act in my name or even the name of any organization. Just recognize, Hakai Chikara, this war will effect you. Effect her. Because if you don't you will hurt her more than you can imagine."

"You may done with war, Chikara but that doesn't mean it won't take it's due. I prey to whatever gods still watch over us lost souls you've given enough."

THE STEEL VIZARD KING

Hakai Chikara
破 壊 力

The man cloaked in red could feel the pain, with every passing moment the lump in his throat grew bigger, the mere thought that he might cause harm to the one thing he cares about tore him apart. He had composed himself enough to not shed anymore tears, but it was still very obvious as his voice continued to tremble and his eyes wavered. Hakai was not a weak man emotionally, nor was he prone to outbursts like this. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something within him just flipped. The mention of war, the empire Hayden had built, it all seemed so familiar. Even the smell of blood, sweat and tears made him sick to his stomach -- smells he was all too familiar with during his campaign against Vizard Corps. Hakai was not a fool, he understood the dangers that Shadow Fall proposed to the world and it's current state, to not see a blight like that would be impossible. For the longest time inaction was the best path to tread... but did it remain that way? Keeping himself unaffiliated, showing and letting his daughter grow into a beautiful and smart young woman. But perhaps -- perhaps the world wouldn't let him do it.

A moment of silence passed as Hayden posed the question, asking if he truly believe he would ask Hakai to become a cog in the war machine. "I don't know enough about you to answer that. You wouldn't be the first to ask me to crush their enemies." A sigh crossed over the body of Hakai, his arms were raised from his pockets as he crossed them just atop of his chest, eyes closing briefly as he listened to the words of Hayden. A fool? For wanting to avoid war? In the eyes of Hakai, the world had enough people on either side. For someone like him to get involved would not only end terribly for all sides, but throw Hana into the path of danger. Perhaps there was no other course of action, perhaps Hayden was right. "Maybe I am a fool." Hakai's red eyes darted to the Vastime leaders chest as a hearty thump radiates off him, followed by the eyes of his daughter whom still gripped to his side with intensity. Hana's eyes began to well up as she watched Hayden speak, her purple outfit practically merging with Hakai she clung that tightly.

"I know very well what Shadowfall are capable of, and I know just how deadly their destruction will rain down upon all I hold dear. Perhaps you are right, that neutrality can only work for so long in the events to come." The Vizard king's eyes darted downwards as he took a deep huff of air, arms continually crossed. Just what is Hayden getting at here? Hakai thought. To remain neutral but keep him in line? What a strange relationship indeed. The person Hakai had grown to be over the course of three years was always a life of solitude, not to be entangled with the problems and trifling of giant nations and organizations. This forced him into a cross road of sorts, thinking of whether he truly would remain independent or somehow be dragged into the Vastime mess currently present. "As for putting you down, in the worst case scenario..." His eyes flicked back up and met the coffee eyes that were constantly pinned to him.

"If it came to that, and you pose a threat to Hana or me, I won't hesitate to kill you."

Hakai's voice seemed to rattle, the clear sense of anxiety and sadness vibrant above all else as he spoke. This was net meant as a threat, nor did Hakai wish to offend Hayden in anyway - simply to understand the man he was getting involved with, a man whom would throw anything down for the one person he holds dear.

Hana's eyes darted up to Hakai as she let go of his body, feeling the emotion draining from him as he stood there, eye to eye with Hayden. As the person responsible for this, the reason her father still stood, she couldn't help but feel as if she was becoming a burden. The love from her father was undoubted, but at what point did she just become another problem? As she let go, she could feel the consistant trembling of Hakai's chest, still not recovered from the thought of Hana dying due to his actions. "I... I don't want to be a burden..." Hana felt sort of out of place, the conversation between the two men revolved around her, but she had no place. Like she was stuck in limbo, torn between fighting a war she has no place in or eventually forced to fight for freedom in the case of Shadow Fall's victory.

"... I stopped believing in Gods a long time ago." His voice had perked up a bit, vaguely returning back to it's normal pitch as the trembling in his chest began to fade. "I won't join Vastime, and I won't be ordered around like some war dog." His hands dropped from their cross at chest level, returning to his pockets as he began to walk, hopefully with Hayden following. "... but you're right, you know. This battle will find me eventually. Perhaps it is time I stopped running."

The Iron King

Desmond Hayden

Song: Don't get in my way - Artist: Zack Hemsey - Words: N/A

"Nothin' wrong with being a fool though Hakai, it's only unwise when you don't know you are playing such."

The male mused out loud, he had come to accept the fact his own foolishness and naivety often proved to be some of his greatest assets. It was a matter however of knowing what his where and utilizing them to help further the simple ideals which he held so dearly to himself. It was when you tried to place an extended meaning or defintion on ideals is when loop holes where made; but when you distilled those to simple concepts it was near impossible to be place din sticky situations. Was it perhaps a bit naive or misguided? Maybe but thus far it had served as a strong model for Hayden and those who sought his leadership.

It was pleasing to see however Hakai recognize that his neutrality would only carry him so far, that he had realized the blunt truth Hayden had explained to him without bias against him. This was evident from the light yet tired smile which came upon the calloused features of Hayden, the intense brown orbs which was his eyes seeming to lighten under the terrible burden both these similar yet starkly different souls shared. In another life they might've been in each other shoes but in this currently life they where forced to deal the hands life had so fittingly thrown at them; and Hayden would not allow himself to be entrapped in the what ifs of life.

The briefness yet strong utterance Hakai made in the mention of killing Hayden cause the smile to turn into a smirk. It was that type of attitude he needed among the denizens and citizens of Vastime. The willingness to oppose him if he ever brought intentional harm without reason, to abuse the position of trust his people had placed into him. "Good, I'd love nothing else." He nodded in reference to killing Hayden should he become a threat to Hana and all he as a man had established.

"Eventually we all had to stop running, turn around and face life, destiny, or whatever so chose for us to have this life. I am simply content if you do that." He informed Hakai as he began to follow next to the male, his eyes shifting over to the woman known as Hana. It was clear she had developed into a woman who fighting capabilities where most likely something to be feared, the glee in which she watched the duel earlier coming to his mind. It was this very reason why his head would tilt ever so slightly now that she held the attention of the iron king. If his conversation with Hakai was finished, perhaps it would be best to give the girl some acknowledgment as she was somewhat faded into the background.

"Hakai, you wouldn't mind me speaking to Hana as well? I must say I am interested in her, she seemed to enjoy the match earlier." He male pointed out as his orbs went to the crimson one's which adorned Hakai. Such vibrant intense eyes the pair shared, he could see the family semblance already. Provided Hakai allowed Hayden to engage in conversation with her, which he believed he would at this point she would have his undivided attention.

"You've heard everything we've said and I'm sure you have your own thoughts, but besides all of that you look like you enjoy fighting. How do you feel about Vastime thus far, I just don't know that much about you and I'd like to change that, Hana." The male expressed the comment in his tell-tale blunt fashion not bothering to use fanciness or furthering the matter. If there was one factor about Hayden it was that he tended to speak pretty openly and with that he truly did have the earnest intention of wanting to find out about Hana Chikara and what she wanted in this life.

"I do not know if you have ate yet, but I do know of an enjoyable cafe not far from here. I do feel the intensity of our conversation as died down so why not get a bite and speak of more enjoyable topics- like your travels and share some stories. I'm sure you two have some interesting tales." The male emphasized the two of them, after all this meeting was just more than the political mechanization of Hayden and Hakai but truly was the leader of Vastime reaching out to gain some insight into their unique views. Hakai with his timeless experience and Hana with the beauty and renewal of the new generation which was approaching this world.

"After all Hana is apart of the new generation coming of age in this world, just as I am. I want to get to know those who I believe will one day become the new pillars of this world." Hayden chuckled giving a grin which displayed the affection in his face, the usually neutral and intense male was feeling giddy with the talk of Vastime and the idea of a new generation. He considered himself apart of such a new generation but among those was also the daughter of Hakai, hopefully their paths might cross more in a positive light despite however this encounter may end.

It was important to always remember, that within Hayden ribcage beat the heart of his people- a heart which sought to bring about change and growth. Thus far, he would count this encounter as a success and honestly: That was good enough for him.
