» Upgrading:

Aspscisus Genus: Throughout the course of the day, typically Hayden does not remove his Zanpakutō. But the time he does usually does not require the man to grasp his blade with all his might. Rather he prefers to hold back his natural strength but opting to wield his blade with a singular hand. Similar to the way Kenpachi Zaraki limited himself many years ago, Hayden found this a good way to strength both his arms individually while making sure he never overtly used his power or lack’d in skill. So in using this ‘Restricted Stance’ usually involves holding his Zanpakutō in one hand, adopted from his ‘Hellhound’ style. But there is a large emphasis in finesse and striking swiftly, usually a build up to test the strength of his enemy.

Typically this stance will find his body very relaxed with few wind up strikes, following a swift and deadly striking pattern. Focus on speed and unpredictability are key components to this style. This style is compatible with fighting multiple people or a singular person, as it can switch from wide power attacks to precise cuts within seconds. When it comes to his defense with this style it can leave a lot to be desired, but provides generally decent defensive capabilities. The user MUST be able to use their free hand to defend in some capacity as without being able to properly switch between offensive and defensive interchangeably with their sword hand and open hand can leave them at a disadvantage.

Primo Percute: This attack showcases the idea of quick offensive so valued in this style. The user can usually launch this attack rather easily from almost any distance, preferably medium to long range. The use braces their legs tightening their muscles using requiring at least some sort of master level power to generate the most force, releasing that energy usually leads to a small crater upon launching themselves. This relies more on the strength on the user for a quick rush attack, staying airborne as their body twists for maximum slicing damage.

The user must be able to focus their power on a specific point within their sword, somewhat near the top of the blade for maximum cutting potential. All this slashing power is then aimed downward as the user does a full body rotation. This translate into an extremely accurate and fast slash with the force to deal massive damage in a compact area. Finally, it makes for a great battle opener or surprise late game attack. A testament to the amount of force and speed the user can generate.

Bant Plagae: Every swordsmen should know how to attack with killing intent, to create a strike which forces your enemy to step back. But a truly great swordsmen understands how to project this force into the world, without striking. Thus the idea of this maneuver was made. In this technique the user funnels their killing intent into an ‘false’ strike, this can either be done from a strike mid swing or without even moving their blade only a small shift.

If this is done from a blade movement it will make it seem more realistic to the point that someone of relatively high focus and mental deduction, equal to the Zanjutsu skill, to deduce it is a feint before it is too late. However if this false strike is made from a neutral movement, allowing you to better counter your opponent, they would only need one tier lower than your Zanjutsu skill. This could be good to get a dazed shot on your opponent for if they did not detect it, they might assume it was a real strike even after the feint was revealed. However if they are above your Zanjutsu skill they would immediately known this is a false strike, but if they where on your level then they would only have a smaller reaction window. It should be noted this attack is variably harder to detect in a higher paced battle, with outside factors making it increasingly or decreasingly difficult.

Scutum Domat: This type of offensive guard breaker is designed specifically to counter both energy users or a multitude of physical fighters types. This is one of the few moves in Hayden’s Zanjutsu arsenal which requires both his strength and abilities to utilize to it’s fullest. The basic archetype of this move is a strong one handed thrust of the blade into a energy attack or enemy in an attempt to pierce or destabilize them, but it offers much more when combined with Hayden’s offensive power and naturally gifted abilities.

In the grand scheme of this ability it is to be used often as a way to help break into a enemy guard. By focusing their power into the tip of their sword they can create quite the strong thrust. In the full body movement the user transfer the energy of a quick step and snap of their shoulders, into the pop of the thrust. This alone creates a fine kinetic blast of energy which can be used to pierce through and energy attack or easily pierce/knocking an enemy back. But by receding the blade at the point of climax they can double the damage of the strike but limit its range to that of having to make contact. However, something more unique to Hayden is he can focus his death matter to create an explosion of death matter further adding to the destructive power or using his lighting to shoot an arc of lightning to attempt to numb or paralyse the limb which made contact for a limit of one post.

Obviously this move is of great use due to the adaptability of this guard piercer/ranger closer, thus making it something which can be used explosively with differentiating results.

Percute Defensiva: With the high pace of fighting usually involved in extreme level fights, one may not be able to always stop a strike or block effectively. This technique is a way to circumvent this deadly fault in this style, by using their offensive style in a defensive quality thus creating a defense from offense. With the simple swing of their sword the user, with enough skill and practice, effectively meet their enemy with a defensive capability. When combined with this free-flowing style of combat it allows for the user to maintain a dominant position through the use of their freehand as well.

The reason this move is so effective for Hayden is his Zanpakutō special ability to maintain a plasma edge, the energy naturally produce from the heat of the blade can act as a first layer of defense when meeting an energy attack with his blade or another physical attack. Likewise, this upward arcing swing can generate it’s own kinetic slash which can meet an attack before to either lower it’s destructive power or eliminate it entirely. Overall it makes it a low energy cost defensive measure which at the right time can open a wide variety of attack avenues.

Nativus Incursus: The more exerting and power of the Zanjutsu techniques developed by Hayden, this truly required mastery of both the sway of his sword, focus, and personal connection to his blade. This technique was designed as a way to merge both his raw destructive physical power and the ability to manipulate the storm as granted by his Zanpakutō. To perform this Hayden mindset needs to be able to comprehend the world at a master focus level, as this involves manipulating the raw elemental foundations at it’s best. Thus combining all his greatest strengths into a relatively powerful slash.

Hayden first lowers his Zanpakutō in a downward position similar to that of ancient european martial arts, with his body being located in his legs and arms. The storms in which is naturally generated by his Zanpakutō would gather around his blade, his mind beginning to focus on drawing out his internal power. With the culmination of his storms empowering the blade to become heated from the constant strikes of lightning, his death matter reinforcing his grip and forearm. The man would raise his Zanpakutō above his head with his free hand as his left foot would slide outwards carrying the power into his hand, before snapping his blade in a massive wirl. The effect of this body be the literal projection of the storm being shot out from his blade, sending out a massive arc of kinetic force and plasma energy. However, the true power lives in the point in which the blade makes contact as if it hits a target instead of the power being whip into a massive arc all that energy will condense on that point. Thus making a massive slash empowered by the heat of plasma and Hayden’s own reinforced limb to create a hit that exceeds his natural one armed strength.

Potestatem Genus: In inverse of Aspscisus Genus, roughly translated to Power Style, this focuses on unleashing the strength of Hayden and those who use this style. The number one distant difference between this and it’s sister style is that to perform it, you must have two hands on your weapon. This is the far step into unlocking the power behind your sword strikes, as Kenpachi said “a sword is far more powerful when you use two hands instead of one.” Thus it takes this idea and completely develops its potential and combat completely around the idea of projecting their user force into the world. When adopting this style it can yield many benefits but with them cons in their own right.

To assume this style the user takes hold of their Zanpakutō with both hands, usually adopting a solid stance with their feet shoulder width apart. For the most results it’[color=#B87900]e person maintain a high position with their weapon or a low position to add for maximum momentum when cutting, but this can leave their defense open. The key to using this style is maintaining offensive as in a defensive fight this style can suffer disadvantages such as slower attacks or opening their guard. Thus one would wanna press their enemy keeping the advantage of a fast and furious sight. Do not hesitate.

Ryodan: This is a age old Kendo technique demonstrated by Kenpachi, adopting the ‘high’ blade position in traditional sword fighting. The user raises their sword above their head before tensing their body swiping downward with all their might thus placing a large portion of their power in this attack. It should be noted for it’s full effect you must step forward as it transfer your lower body power into the vertical slash.

For Hayden this can result in an absolutely devastating attack, one which increases his overall attack potency to it’s highest levels. While ideally this wants to be done in front of your enemy it can damage them from afar if they are in front of you, as a line of kinetic power will erupt from the ground following it’s attack. This power utilize near maximum of his strength resulting in a massive attack with the force to split mountains and split the earth’s crust at it’s maximum power.

II Ryodan Ianiatus: Better known as ‘Ryodan Gear Two’ this attack was developed by Hayden to fully utilize his attack power and the tools at his disposal. While all the movements are the same as Ryodan, he add his own flare by empowering his blade with death matter in order to create multiple miniature explosions to propel the blade forward. However for maximum damage one more explosion happens at the point of contact in order to cause additional damage to the enemy.

In general this attack can be a bit more taxing as the energy demand can vary depending on how much energy is condensed into each explosion. Thus it makes for a good surprise for when enemy expect the same attack, making it even more of a behemoth to deal with.

Continuss Tempestas : More of the more intensive Zanjutsu techniques Hayden has developed around his Zanpakutō, this techniques involves the utilization of his storm manipulation powers. The name roughly translated to ‘nonstop storm’ which is definitely a good summarization of this technique. Hayden summons his storm force condensing the raging storm around his arms and blade into a vortex of energy and lightning before dropping his sword into the ‘back left’ position. This sufficiently prepares the technique that is about to be launched

All Hayden has to do from this point is slash his blade three times to launch three different tornados within the area. However, the force and mach at which this storm's spin at are greatly applied from the force in which they are launched, they completely are off the F scale which is used to measure their intensity. Instead this tornados can generate up to Mach 3 speeds at their most powerful which will last for roughly a post before they decrease to mach 1.5 and the final post only 500 mphs. So for a grand total of three posts they will remain causing significant damage to the surrounding landscape, also granting Hayden the ability to control and utilize them as he see fit. This has a cool down of three posts.

Ruunt et Necem: This technique is one of the most dangerous just do to the shift in mindset Hayden has to make to perform it. This roughly translate into ‘Murderous intent’ which is perfect for what it does to the Zanjutsu user. Upon activation of this technique, the user needs to be able to have both a mastery in focus and Zanjutsu in order to draw their Zanpakutō full power out. They will gain an almost steamy appearance around them mixed with a red aura, in which they leak tangible energy. The user mindset will focus on nothing but bring the end of whoever their target is along with whoever gets in their way, giving up their compassion and mercy in order to fight to their peak.

The person will notice a sizeable increase in their stamina, able to carry out long sequences of attack without tiring or experiencing the negatives of fatigue. While in a regener like Hayden this may seem useless in reality it allows the man to perform at a higher standard via eliminating the need to push those feelings aside. In this mode they seem like an unstoppable machine of force and rage, but this does not mean their strikes lose precision or focus. Rather this pushes those concepts to its brink, each hit aimed with the intent to kill so they will notice each strike targets a vital order or has the intent to cripple their enemy somehow.

In this mindset and energy merge, the Zanpakutō and user would caution using this as over-exertion of it can permanently alter the user into a bloodthirsty machine or have lingering effects after the user tries to break the focus. TYpically someone will enter into this if they are near passing out, as this gives them a second wind in which the user loses control- all their training and focus taking over to destroy whatever their target is. In exchange for one last push they give up their capacity for positive emotions and mercy temporarily creating quite the conundrum for people like Hayden.

Verum: One of the more supportive abilities of this style of fighting is the full synchronization offered between user and Zanpakutō. Thus Hayden is able to commune with his Zanpakutō in the middle of combat otherwise known as a sixth sense. This transfer into the ability to able to detect things which may try to alter his mindset or abilities, be it entering into a hallucination or someone trying to mess with his emotions. Almost like a tugging within his mind he will find himself able to ground himself in the now with his Zanpakutō, his blade and him remembering their purpose for being this close and connected. Thus while a supportive technique still an invaluable on in this offensive arsenal.

Manifestatio Voluntatis: This technique is in the highest of caliber when it comes to this style, a damning move for both the user and the receiver it takes a few special conditions to release this ability. First and foremost Hayden must be wholly committed to the idea of defeating whoever is fighting and the second is this must be a death enabled thread with the final being is he cannot be within ‘Ruut et Necem’ mindset.. The reason for this is due to the strain in which this mentally places on Hayden and the physical effort in which must be used to summon an ability of this caliber.

Similar to his Arma Leviathan attack, it is the companion to that attack however reserved for Zanjutsu use. Hayden must prepare this attack for a singular post via drawing in all aspects of his energy, including the physical manifestation of his will power. This attack is meant to represent the ever evolving lengths he is willing to go thus it increases in power with the amount of conviction Hayden has, usually determined by his will power skill. As this is being performed they would see Hayden Zanpakutō begin to gain a mirror image in energy, increasing the size of the Zanpakutō to that of triple it’s size.

A olive aura would surround the blade as Hayden literal will power is empowering the attack, with the actual blade turning a dark mixture of black and maroon to represent the merged energies within his power. This attack draws upon all of that condensing it within his Zanpakutō as the channel in which to strike their enemy, the second post effectively allowing for Hayden to attack with this empowered blade of Hayden will power. Hayden can maintain this blade for a total of seven posts at maximum, only able to maintain it for four to five without emptying out his mental reserve and own energy.

The effects of being struck by this Zanpakutō is one might begin to feel their own will power to fight to begin to drain, specifically if their own will power is lower than Hayden’s. They will also feel a sharp increase in the cutting power and intensity of attacks generated from the blade, as most if not all Hayden energy is concentrated and merged with his Zanpakutō. The ability to fight with his swordsmanship will see an overall increase to the point it would allow him to contend with many higher than him. Finally, the wounds it do inflict will typically begin to turn to death matter and spread which can be countered by simply applying their own energy to the wound.

However, the drawbacks to this are easily seen. Upon activation Hayden will see first and foremost decrease in all energy attacks potency. Secondly he will see a large drop in his energy, one which is notable should the thread progress past this form. Finally, this takes Hayden will power and wears it down, what does this mean? It means should he be pushed to the bring outside this form he will not be able to tap into his will power to give him one final push- thus making this form both his last push and should be used sparingly.

II Scutum Domat: The two handed version of it’s sister, this simply refers to the same ability perform in a much stronger and greater capacity. The ability to maneuver your blade with two hands results in a greater range of movement along with more power behind this guard breaker. Thus making it more of a offensive attack or defensive attack in nature. The reason this is regarded as the upgraded variant of this attack is not only due to the power however but at the tip of the blade Hayden focuses his ability to produce explosions to activate when he thrusts to open their enemy up for another attack- or neutralize other attacks by meeting them with equal or more energy.

» Why: Have a mastery in Zanjutsu so wanted to flesh that out just WHY Hayden had that.

[mod]Interesting zanjutsu techniques, I don't have a problem with this refinement so I'll approve them. [/mod]
