Kimitsuki could not help but let a few tears fall from her right eye, passing down the side of her cheek. The tears soon buried themselves in the ground below her; no true trace that she had been crying earlier. The only evidence that showed outward regret for killing that man. She sighed softly and thought back on what happened earlier, earlier with Kakine.

It was plain and obvious that man had immense hate for demons, enough to not even trust someone like her. Of course, she really could not blame him after all that Demons had done in the past; how many they had murdered out of cold blood and not caring. Just reflecting on what he had said helped calm Kimitsuki at least a little. It was indeed true that she had no relation to the old Captain of the Gotei; Genryusai Yamamoto. However, it was not impossible for her to be descendant from him. How she was born actually points against her being related to him, but, the fact she was born from fire may be an indicator of her relation to him. However, it really is hard to say given she has no idea if there is any blood relationship at all.

Kimitsuki sighed softly as she still reflected on what was said by Kakine; especially that he had seen all the horrors inflicted upon the world from the demons. Not only that, but, to use the power he had to make life better for those who are unfortunate. It indeed was noble, very noble indeed. It also wasn't too far from what Kimitsuki wanted to do. She wanted to bring balance back to the word, mainly, but she also wanted to keep innocents safe; so that they could live happy lives and not be interrupted by the circumstances of death.

Truthfully, Kimitsuki did not know of the exact tragedies that had occurred at Shadowfall's hand. No, she mainly had heard of such things as conjecture or actual records of what had happened but, she still knows all that had happened; and Kimitsuki sure as hell did not like it.

Kimitsuki also thought of when he put his arm on her, or was it around her? It was certainly something she did not expect at all, but, it was likely something that may not happen again. She was glad to know she was glad to know Karakura was at least thankful for what she had did; even if it was technically murder. She sighed softly and soon stopped reflecting on what had happened as she took out the scrap of paper Kakine had left when he disappeared; wanting her to go with him to a different area. And that place was still written on the note: "Fuma Park"

Kimitsuki scratched the back of her head for a moment while looking at the note before she put it away again and then diverted her attention to the Park in front of her. She sighed softly and walked into the park slowly, looking at the area around her as she walked in slowly. She did not know much of Kakine, but, he seemed to appear out of nowhere last time, disappeared randomly, and would likely appear out of nowhere once more. Kimitsuki sighed once more as she continued to walk into the more middle area of the park. As she walked, those who were able to sense her energy gave her a very wide berth; or simply left. Kimitsuki sighed softly and held her right hand to her left arm; holding onto her elbow as she continued to walk.

Kimitsuki looked downwards, towards her feet, as she continued to walk. She would look up occasionally to see what she could find. Eventually, she spotted a bench and made a B-line towards it. She sat down on the bench almost immediately when she got to it, and sighed softly. It was indeed true that she was a demon, and the energy trace made it painfully obvious, but she still would rather people gave her a warmer reception instead of straight up being given the stink eye. Kimitsuki sighed and placed her face in her hands for a moment. In that moment, Kimitsuki completely shut out the entire world and entered a state of meditation. This meant Kakine could appear at random in that moment and surprise her completely.

Afterwards, Kimitsuki would break that random moment of focus/meditation and looked upwards. She sighed softly and simply waited to see if Kakine would arrive, and when. After all, as much as she wanted to keep this city safe she was pretty sure most of the civilians would rather she leave than help. But, she didn't care; she was gonna help them either way in the end.

THE YUUDESHI OF CREATION

KAKINE YUUDESHI

The rustling of leaves were always so calming at this time of year, the cool whips of wind chilling people to their bones. It was something about that cold wind that made Kakine feel at home though. The winters of Japan got very intense, but he could withstand it, unlike their summers. So this was his ideal: within a park such as Fuma, trying to relax his mind after witnessing the death of a man. The Yuudeshi had hoped Kimitsuki, the red haired Demon, would accept his offer to meet in this park - to rid themselves of the cameras and lights that would inevitably be shined in their faces. Kakine's maroon clad suit seemed to stand out among the scenery, even if he wanted to remain hidden he would have no choice but to show himself. Maybe for some killing was an incredibly easy topic, and it certainly had become easy for Kakine during his years, but even for a seasoned killer it sometimes seeps back in.

"Kimitsuki." Kakine had been tracking the red haired woman for quite some time, his tone remained calm as he spoke. It was rather hard for one to not notice her, her bright red hair was truly a sight to behold - and the strong physique she sported would track the attention of anyone. As the crowds seemed to part around her, either leaving the area or walking around her in a bubble, Kakine simply walked up to her and double-tapped the back of her head. Her eyes were closed, seemingly tuning out the rest of the world, so it was possible he would scare her in the process of tapping. His head tilted to the side as he looked at her, examining her features and drawing an incredible amount of different conclusions with his cyber brain. "Maybe you can explain to me what you're doing here without interruption now." Kakine demeanor still remained calm, yet by the tone of his voice one could easily tell he was frustrated and confused to her situation.

"A demon within Karakura, huh? I don't apologise for being so skeptical, I've seen mostly carnage from your kind." Kakine grunted angrily. The Yuudeshi was a hot head, even minor things capable of getting under his skin and irritating him. This wasn't so minor in his eyes, and while he accepted the world was changing, Demon's openly allowed in Karakura had never happened before. He thought, and knew, that perhaps he was racist in that regard; not without a reason though. "So what? Am I supposed to just let you roam here? I've been told nothing about this."

Kakine's anger seemed to simmer down as he took a few deep breaths, clearing his throat, and sitting down beside Kimitsuki, arm outstretched across the bench whilst leaning back, eyes never quite leaving the demon woman. She was beautiful, that went without saying, and every moment he remained in her presence he seemed to notice more and more things he was physically attracted to. From her blood red eyes and hair down to her outfit, Kakine couldn't help but compliment her style. His eyes scanned up and down as he waited for a response to his questions.

Although Kakine had scanned her, he seemed to initially miss her overall sadness -- or rather not care. With a sigh, followed by a grunt of displeasure, Kakine responded in a term of 'comfort'. "You're really still sad about killing that guy? Come on, you're a fucki--" The Yuudeshi stopped himself mid sentence, words breaking towards the end as he realised his words wouldn't help in this instance. Chewing down upon his tongue lightly and taking yet another deep breathe, exhaling slowly and then inhaling faster. "Look, what were your options? You try take him a prisoner, he either kills you or you get hurt, along with others. You made the right decision, fireball." Kakine softly let out a smirk upon saying this.

His eyes then darted forward, tilting his head back and looked up into the sky, a puff of heat exhaling from his mouth. 'What the hell can I do about a demon showing remorse like this? Jesus...' Kakine thought to himself. Perhaps it was having doubts about meeting her here after all.

A soft sigh escaped Kimitsuki's lips as she sat on the bench; not registering what was around her for a time until she heard her name. She perked up for a moment, her sight clearing as she looked around. The Danava didn't see much until she felt someone tap on the back of her head. The girl froze in an upright position, back arched slightly, and suppressed a tiny 'EEP' sound. She slowly turned to look at Kakine, swallowing softly as her eyes fell on the man who clearly hated her for what she was; not even what she had done. Great, another person to add to the list of perpetual hate because she is a demon.

Kimitsuki sighed softly as she heard the question that Kakine directed to her; what was she doing here? Kimitsuki sighed softly as she averted her gaze from Kakine's, for the time being, as she thought of why; not wanting to be staring into scrutinizing eyes as she thought of a good reason besides that she was simply visiting. Simply coming to a town in which she had never been to before; only seen from a distance. Kimitsuki sighed softly and rubbed the back of her head; fixing to answer his question before he directed more speech to her.

She sighed softly and simply listened for now, remaining silent as he basically interrogated her; the Danava not exactly feeling like her visit to Karakura was as good as she wanted it to be. Then again, she already killed a man and seemed to have pissed off a being more powerful than her -- who seems to also be the guardian of Karakura, or something -- just by existing. She sighed softly and once again made eye contact with Kakine; ignoring his anger filled gaze some.

"I was mainly just visiting... I've never been to Karakura before; and with my alignments and those that I know, I was able to get in and look around. Just so happened a crazy man decided to assault the city; and I had to defend them... But, I do not blame you at all; prejudice and hate has kinda followed me most of my life due to my lineage. It's not something one can simply shrug off; ya know? And, you can kick me out if you like; again, I won't blame you. You want to protect those in the city from demons; savages that have taken over Europe and wronged most of man-kind. I can see where you'd believe it would be in your right to boot me out of the city... If you wish me to leave, I will do so peacefully; it'll just be a shame to leave after only my first visit..."

A morose chuckle came from the Danava as a single tear fell down her cheek; the salty liquid evaporating somewhat quickly as soon as it fell off of her face. The Demon rubbed her cheek clean of the trail from the tear, calming herself some so she wouldn't cry more. She let out a shaky sigh as her eyesight wandered; taking in more of Kakine than before. He really was not a bad looking guy, nice suit, somewhat long-blonde hair; really not all too bad. Of course, Kimitsuki truthfully couldn't say what looks were "good" or "bad" as she hadn't had all that much experience with many social situations or those of "good looks".

As Kimitsuki once more averted her gaze from Kakine, the moment he sat on the bench, she heard him speak once more; her body flinching slightly as she heard his statement, his question. Of course, it was halted mid-sentence, but, the question was still there; whether she was still sad about it or not. Of course she was! Kimitsuki never, ever, wants to take the lives of others; even if she has to it is something she would never want to do. Kimitsuki sighed softly, once more, a soft break coming to her voice when she next spoke, soon after Kakine finished speaking; a clear sign of her emotions still rocking between her control and instability.

"Y-Yes... I am... I don't like killing people; I don't want to kill people even if it is the only option... It's just something I don't like doing... If I could not kill; I would. But... you are right, that situation was definitely one of those 'kill or let his destruction spread' kinda things... I just really wish that there was an alternative to killing him... but I had to protect the civilians..."

Kimitsuki sighed and wiped away another tear that fell from her face; the tear landing on the glove on her right hand, which caused the tear to sizzle and evaporate. Kimitsuki could only sit there as she looked down towards her feet; staring at them as she wondered if there was something else she could have done. But, she was glad the citizens were safe... that was something good that came out of that confrontation from earlier.

"F-Fireball? I-Is that a n-nickname of some sort...?"

THE YUUDESHI OF CREATION

KAKINE YUUDESHI

Fuma park was as lovely as ever. The radiating sunlight through the clouds and gaps in trees were rather misleading when considering the sorrow that overshadowed Karakura after the death of a man in the middle of the street. Kimitsuki was showing herself to be rather emotional, something which was both a blessing and a curse at the same time. Kakine had sat beside her, listening and trying to keep his temper under control, confused on why a demon of all things would try and save the lives of Karakura. It was unheard of, and the mortal enemies of the Yuudeshi clan were slowly seeming to become more common as allies. Whether this meant he could find common ground with this woman, Kakine did not know. But, to the surprise of himself, he found himself much calmer in her presence. He was a man who held large prejudice against Hollows and Demons, beings which killed his family. A long time had passed since their passing, yet it stuck with him like an open wound - if poked or exposed properly, proving to be a mental weakness.

The cool wind swept through the Yuudeshi's hair as he continued to listen to the red haired woman. She spoke softly, and her voice felt as if elegance was her aim. In truth, she just seemed like a timid and shy girl, unsure what she had just done. Not used to the modern world and the killing that is sometimes required from them. Kakine's leaned back as he placed both arms behind his head, interlocking his fingers and laying his head back into his open palms. "You really just sound like a lost kid, Kimitsuki." His eyes shifted to the side and have a slight smile from the corner of his mouth, giving a slight approval of her circumstance. "I don't plan on kicking you out kid. The way I look at it? If you're truly wanting to help Karakura, that'll be proven over time. If your intentions were truly anything against the Yuudeshi, Karakura and Earth as a whole; you'd have been stomped out already." His eyes averted back to his front.

With a click of his fingers behind his head, two cans seemingly faded into thin air right at the side of Kimitsuki and Kakine. A can of coffee, a rather common commodity that was easily accessible via vending machines throughout Karakura. For Kakine, though, making beverages such as this were among the easiest things in existence. Despite his rather offensive and cautious approach, Kakine could feel himself calming down, trying to make sense of her methods. "I hope you like coffee." The drinks appeared on either side as she wiped the tears from her eyes, a slight frown crossing the face of Kakine the more he looked at her. It wasn't a look of disappointment, anger or annoyance. Rather it was a look of sympathy. He knew the pain of killing people, and for a while you never got over it. He thought that perhaps he was the one to kill people's families just like demons had done to him.

"Are you with the Vanguard or something? That 'protect the civillians no matter the cost' is very reminiscent of their rhetoric. Not that I disagree." The creator's head tilted slightly as he looked at her, watching her intensly as she wiped away the tears. He was concerned for her, whether he admitted it out loud or not. He slowly found himself being more and more sympathetic towards her situation, yet remained cautious in his approach. "You kind of obliterated the entire street back there in a ball of flame. I'd say it's an adequate nick name." Taking a sip from his can of warm coffee, he proceeded to question her about life within Karakura. "I guess I'm not surprised you haven't been to Karakura. It's usually pretty locked out from your kind. I guess that's pretty racist, huh?" A small chuckle overcame him before taking another sip.

"You're just lucky I didn't obliterate the two of you in one go. I'd have been disappointed to kill someone with alignment to Karakura unknowingly." He watched before him as people continued to walk through the park, all of which walked in a rather wide circle around the two on the bench, their radiating spiritual pressure enough to force people away through sheer presence. "I guess people are scared of us both, huh?"

Kimitsuki lightly flinched at the remark of sounding like a lost little kid; that obviously was not her intent, but, it somehow came across that way. She twiddled her thumbs softly before she gave off a soft chuckle when she heard what Kakine said next. Yeah, next to the Yuudeshi's she was probably just a spec on the floor, a tiny piece of dirt that could be vacuumed up and then disposed of; but she was not just any piece of dirt. Frankly, she wasn't even dirt, she was a Danava that was sorta on the radar as an uncertain; she was part of Vastime, part of the Guild of Heroes. She would at least become something eventually, someone that can be trusted; a thought that made her a little happy.

Kimitsuki cleared her throat and then blinked as she heard the sound of a can lightly 'click' against the bench next to her. She looked down at the can and slowly picked it up with her left hand, looking at her glove and sighing softly. She placed the can between her legs, held it there with her legs, and then opened it up. A soft snap-like sound came from the can as she opened it. She picked it up with her left hand and then slowly took a sip. Kimitsuki stared at the drink and took another sip, her head tilting to the left and her right eyebrow moving down slightly as she looked at the can a little quizzically.

"I'm not sure what to think of this drink..."

Kimitsuki lightly smacked her lips, inaudibly, as she tried to get a taste for the drink, for coffee. It was a little difficult as the drink was a little bitter, but seemed to have some good flavor. Kimitsuki held the drink in her left hand still, the cold temperature of the drink likely getting pretty warm eventually; depending on how long Kimitsuki took to drink it. She looked at Kakine upon him asking a question of her once more.

"The... Vanguard? No, I'm not... I'm a part of Vastime and the Guild of Heroes. I would say the whole, protect the civilians no matter the cost is just something right to do... ya know?"

Kimitsuki smiled softly before a soft groan came from her at the mention of obliterating part of the street. She couldn't help but laugh slightly at the nickname she was given; she never really had a nickname in the past. At least one like that, she was simply known as Kimitsuki; nothing too different like fireball. She then nodded at what he said before chuckling softly and then looking at him once more.

"Yeah... I can't exactly blame everyone for keeping demons out, after all, the rest of my race isn't exactly known for... well, mercy or compassion; let alone peace and kindness. Lord knows what may occur if we could live in peace without trying to kill each other..."

Kimitsuki let out a soft sigh before she chuckled once more at what Kakine said. It was true, dying wasn't on her list of things to do. She may have barely been able to resist the attack, barely, but, he doesn't want to find out what Kakine could do when he wasn't holding back; after all, he was on a different level compared to Kimitsuki. She sighed softly and then looked around at the people giving them wide berths, not wanting to near them. Kimitsuki chuckled softly before looking down, a soft smile on her face yet, her eyes were looking down; somber.

"Yeah... Guess so, something I am used to though. Being a demon doesn't exactly cause most people to swarm towards you with joy; a lot of people normally like to avoid demons, after all. Guess it's just nice to actually sit and talk with someone without them immediately trying to run away."

Kimitsuki rubbed the back of her head softly and then looked at Kakine before she sighed, looking back towards all the people, the ground, and the general surroundings. This world was so easy on the eye; she never understood why someone would want to destroy it. She sighed softly before she looked towards Kakine again and gave him a sincere smile; her facials bright as she smiled.

"Thanks for at least trusting me a little, Kakine... It was nice to not get killed, I'd rather not die, and it was certainly nice to have you there to help; at least meant I didn't have to hold back and draw out a battle that could have ended in much casualty... Thank you..."

Kimitsuki kept her smile for a little bit after she spoke before she looked forwards once more; her eyes focusing on the ground.

"It would be nice if people weren't so fearful of me..."

THE YUUDESHI OF CREATION

KAKINE YUUDESHI
垣 根

Kakine was in a rather weird situation right now. One one hand, he was beginning to feel comfortable and understanding to the likes of Kimitsuki, as if she was truly here to help Karakura and Earth as a whole. He truly wanted to believe that about her. Yet, despite this slow understanding, he couldn't help but shake that overall prejudice that shrouded him. He wanted to see himself escape it, he knew that it was perhaps one of his worst qualities, but could one really blame him? After all the situations he had been forced into, losing his wife and son to the likes of demons, Kakine was perhaps one of the most understanding with his hatred. In any other situation, he would have killed Kimitsuki and left it at that. No love loss. Yet, it was different. Yet that wild nature she proved to have put him on edge, not even realising she killed a man in her fit of rage and anger.

"You get used to it, I live on this stuff so it just feels like my life blood right now." Kakine couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her face changing and the audible sounds of confusion about the taste. It was an acquired taste, he thought. She had been alive for so long, yet she hadn't even had coffee? Strange, Kakine thought. The Yuudeshi had lived off it for so long he forgot that others don't have that same tolerance and understanding.

"Vastime, huh? I'm not sure about their motives or lives, unfortunately. Why join an Earth nation as a demon, anyway? You're an enigma." Kakine had not had any run ins with the like of Vastime as of yet, he truly didn't understand where they stood in the world. Whispers and shouts about their growth to power was spread over the globe, yet he didn't know to what extent. They were a nation, yet... what did they fight for? No amount of intelligence from the Yuudeshi Network could answer a question like their morality. What values did they have? What plans for Earth? It was all strange, and yet another question and worry Kakine had for Kimitsuki. "Do you really think peace between demons and Earth is possible? Or rather the likes of Shadow Fall? I think you're a naive idiot if you do. They don't care for our plight. Demons and Hollows won't stop until everything I love is destroyed. It's just what they do, especially to my family."

The Yuudeshi's head tilted slightly upon hearing her words however. He spoke as if he was generalizing all demons, yet she thanked him for even the slightest bit of trust he was placing in her. To Kakine, this was perhaps a misleading sentiment that he sent across. "Trust" was not what he wished to convey to Kimitsuki, but more understanding of her situation. Thanking him for not killing her was a little sad in his eyes, not only because she thought of her race and herself so lowly, but because she made herself seem so small. As if she was degrading herself. He couldn't help but tilt his head slightly, disappointed that a young woman such as Kimitsuki would degrade herself in such a manner, even if he did see her species as the enemy.

As she spoke of not being feared, his curiosity piqued even more. With his can of coffee held in his left hand, Kakine stood up and took a few steps forward. Taking a quick sip of his coffee, he exhaled slowly, a plume of heat radiating from his mouth. Turning his body back to face Kimitsuki, Kakine began to walk closer to the pedestrians walking around them in a circle. As he walked, the crowds parted and went out of their way to walk clear of Kakine. "People fear what they don't understand, and my reiatsu alone is enough to scare people off. We're at war, can you blame them for being scared and off put by someone who could crush them with a single finger? I know I don't. It doesn't matter your race, affiliation or influence. Power such as mine, such as yours, breeds fear. Whether we like it or not, people will try keep clear of us." Kakine spoke rather loudly, even so that those walking around could hear. It was not a yell, but enough to let his lecture be known to the bystanders.

"You can't please everybody, and in Karakura your strength will scare people. Whether you like it or not, Fireball."

He took one final gulp of coffee before crushing the can with one hand and throwing it to the ground, placing both hands in either pockets of his maroon pants.

Kimitsuki sighed softly and shook her head softly, the red locks of hers bouncing around before she gave herself a mental slap in the face and cleared her mind. She chuckled softly and then looked towards Kakine, mainly, she was just trying to sift through her mind a little; it was nice not to be feared, but, she'll likely have to deal with it. She cleared her head after a little bit before draining the can of coffee, looking at the can after she drank it and then placed it into her right hand. The metal talons on the glove immediately melted into the can, and the surrounding hear caused it to melt still. Kimitsuki smiled at this before she chuckled softly. Having intense amounts of heat around your body helped sometimes. She cupped her hands in front of her to hold the molten aluminum as she looked towards Kakine, watching as he spoke with immense reality and truth. She sighed softly and simply nodded at what he said; he was right.

"Haha... Maybe I will get used to Coffee eventually. And, Vastime fights for good; against Shadowfall. Much like Vanguard does, and other factions wishing for the same end; the end of shadowfall and demon reign. Well, evil demon reign..."

Kimitsuki sighed softly as she looked towards the aluminum in her hand; the molten aluminum. She inspected it for a moment before she turned her head back towards Kakine. She listened to him closely, taking in her words. Sure, it was hard to believe those in Shadowfall could live peacefully with humans, but, there must be some; there has to be some. After all, wasn't she a good example of a demon who can live with humans? At least, besides the whole fear of demons things. She sighed softly and shook her head, looking towards Kakine once more.

"As much as Shadowfall living in peace would be nice, it truthfully is not possible. I would love it if demons, other demons, demons like me, could live with humans in peace; I always kept my distance since I didn't want to harm anyone. Fire, after all, is relentless and hurts those you don't want to hurt unless you have practice... and I am sorry what happened to your family, I-If you wouldn't mind; I would like to help you in avenging them. Maybe not right now, but, I want to help... it must've hurt... no... hurt wouldn't even describe it..."

Kimitsuki sighed softly before she looked at the molten aluminum in her hand again and used her fire to make the material boil for a moment. However, she then simply just made the molten aluminum boil in her hands, enjoying the process of metal being melted like this. A soft smile adorned her face until Kakine spoke again, in a more brash, harsh, manner that made Kimitsuki flinch a little due to some old habits from her being shy and how she was not expecting it. She couldn't help but smile softly as she cupped her hands around the aluminum and super heated it until the material burned and turned to ash and smoke. Of course, she incinerated the ash too before she stood and then looked at Kakine, a small smile on her face. The smile soon faded as she walked up to be right in front of him, her face looking rather calm.

"I've accepted that people will fear me for who I am, for what I am; for my powers and energy. But, it would sure as hell be nice if people stopped fearing me because I am a demon. Having people fear your energy is just a normal thing when you are with so many beings who can't understand it, but, when it comes to being a demon; not only does it get old, but, it puts you down. People avoid you because of what you are instead of trying to find out who you are; and it pisses me off! But... it also really hurts... Which is why I'm glad you gave me a chance and didn't kill me... I understand your prejudice and hate for demons, but, Thank you Kakine, thank you for giving me a chance."

She smiled at Kakine rather brightly, the brightness of the smile matching that of her flames as she bowed to Kakine before she summoned a small bit of fire on her hand and then chuckled a she looked at it. Truthfully, Kimitsuki was just tired of prejudice, of all the hate for demons; she just wanted to be treated equally and with respect and not be feared because she was a demon. Sure, she can deal with the fear of her powers; that just came natural when you wielded fire as a weapon. However, she just wanted a chance; and she had been given that chance. Cirno gave it to her, Hayden did, and now so did Kakine. She swirled the fire around herself, the sudden light hopefully blinding Kakine, but likely didn't, as she quickly pecked him on the cheek before bowing, her face red; the kiss on the cheek as thanks.

"S-Sorry... I just never properly thanked someone before, that's how it's done right? I mean, it at least works doesn't it? Please don't be maaad! It was just as thanks! ... Shut up Kagutsuchi!!"

A dragon suddenly appeared, rolling around on the air, laughing its ass off at Kimitsuki before it simply faded back into wherever he came from; Kimitsuki stood there, her arms crossed and grumbling at Kagutsuchi since she laughed at her. She then looked towards Kakine, her face red enough to match her hair and rubbed the back of her head.

"S-Sorry, again. I just wanted to thank you... It's nice for someone to actually give me a chance to be me instead of just shun me for being a demon... again, thank you..."

THE YUUDESHI OF CREATION

KAKINE YUUDESHI
垣 根

This girl was as interesting as they came. Her timid and shy nature was the most obvious thing about her, yet Kakine kept drawing back to the blood red eyes mixed in with her crimson hair. A woman who wielded fire as a weapon was to be feared, and she understood that taming a force as rigid and powerful as fire was likely to scare others - but it was her actions that mattered. As Kakine sat there and listened to her speak, he couldn't help but feel a bit sorry. Not only did she apologise more than anyone ever should for being in a situation such as hers, but she genuinely seemed sad. Seeing a beautiful woman such as her sad, demon or not, made Kakine feel guilty. That his prejudice was misplaced, even if the reasoning was valid all those years ago.

Kakine smiled at her once more, taking another sip of the coffee as he all but nearly drained the can. "Good. Evil. It's a matter of perspective, Kimitsuki. I've done some irredeemable things in my life time -- does that make me evil? Or is it my intentions which make me 'good'? I'd stop trying to label everything, you'll just confuse yourself. Do what you believe is right." Stopping for a moment, he drained the rest of his can and let out a wave of warm air from his mouth.

His vision crossed to Kimitsuki who held the can in her palm, the aluminum melting down into a liquid that just sat in her hand. With a soft sigh, he responded in a rather comforting tone. "You need not be sorry, Yuudeshi are hardly innocent. Perhaps it's what some of us deserve." Just as Kimitsuki had melted the can into her palm, Kakine had closed his eyes for a split second and let the his own melt down and rest similar to hers. "All I ask if you stop blaming yourself for situations out of your control. Ever since we started talking you have said sorry more times than I can count. If you ever feel outcast, like otherwise are spiting you for what you are, know you will have a home in Karakura. The Yuudeshi's will see to it."

It was obvious sentimental side was breaking through for Kakine, even with all his prejudice and preconceived notions of demons, he couldn't find it in him to get angry or outraged at someone so innocent. Someone who was trying to do good. As she incinerated the liquid, Kakine's own hand tilted over and let it run off his palm, staining the ground below the bench. As the girl stood up, his eyes tracked her, the courteous bow forcing a smile to cross his face. His mind couldn't draw away from her eyes though, the crimson gaze wasn't menacing but rather comforting - they held an innocence among her cute face. The longer he spent in her presence, the more flustered he felt - both physically and emotionally. She was innocent and cute, but she accumulated a natural warmth that almost began to burn up -- it wasn't an unbearable heat, but it was definitely noticeable.

"If anyone is sorry it should be me. For initially writing you off as just another demon who meant harm to my people."

As he finished talking, it was almost as if he was hit in the face with a brick. Not through pain, but he was stunned. The quick and sudden lean forward into a kiss on his cheek, her elegant lips lightly pressing against him. It was rather unexpected, and at first, Kakine did not know how to react. It wasn't like him to get embarrassed or anything, but this woman brought it out of him. Strange, he thought.

"... Y-you're fine, fireball. People usually just do a hug or bow, but I'll take a kiss like that, too." He spoke softly with a slight stutter in his voice, unsure of how to respond at first. "I'm... shocked. I thought if a demon ever treated me as such I'd put them down before they got the chance. I'm glad I didn't do as such to you." As he spoke, more flashes of fire peaked around Kimitsuki, the shape of a japanese dragon warping around her body and egging her on. At first he was shock, but the shock quickly turned to a smile as the eternal partner materialized.

"If I knew we were inviting spirits, I'd have invited Benk--" His speech was cut short at the loud pitched squeel of a woman.

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooood afternoon Kakine! Oh? You didn't tell me you had a date, how exciting!" The voice of his zanpakuto spirit, Benkei, had quickly began to materialize at his side - at first going into a hug but then quickly straightening her body and bowing to the red haired demon. Sake bottle in hand, she grinned and walked up very close to Kimitsuki - almost as if she was inspecting every fiber of her being. "Oohhhhh, she's pretty. A demon though? You've changed, Kakine, for better or worse!" Still remaining close to her face, Benkei waited until Kimitsuki would draw herself away or Kakine would interject.
