Overall Appearance

Personality: She is passively cold, even to her allies. As a pilot for one of Vis Dei’s Mobile Armor Division, she leads the strike team without question and shown no arrogance or weakness. Her philosophy is that if there is a rebel within her team, it is her responsibility to end the disloyalty by any means necessary. For being always cold-hearted, it is rather unpredictable for her to act differently, but she is known to be very aggressive as she could display different styles of unarmed and sword combat. When she walks, she always has her footprints in a single line rather than the usual zigzag, depicting her sense of balance. When her squad mentioned her beating down on them to keep them in line, they are not kidding as she literally could back-fist her subordinate for having a clean knife. Clearly, calling her “not a woman” would cause her force the offender to apologize or have his or her throat slit in front of everyone. The reason she has the nickname is because her hair somehow emits a cold aura while it shines like black ice by the sun. She preferred speed and control, thus why her mobile armor of choice, “VD-MAD-Aello” was built and been her personal choice throughout her career. She does like cats, but she somehow has a deep grudge for kidnappers and cat-buglars.

Retta was a pilot chosen by the head captain of the airship, Vis Dei and was picked to undergo training to use the mecha. By graduation, she picked Aello, an experimental mecha.

(Silicon Wrist Incision Shock Sword)
Very lightweight, durable and highly conductive of electricity, the precision blade was made for stalling enemy mecha without destroying the core, allowing the enemy mecha to be easy to capture and examine for sale price, parts and even military uses. However, due to its weight and mass, it would not stand a chance against a lock of swords or a heavy weapon. When dealing with large spirits like Gillian Menos, the sword is capable of affecting it drastically due to the electrical properties. The electrical property is optional as it can tax the heat sinks and potentially stall the mecha due to overheat. Technology today allowed it to be more durable than steel, but it still does break, so often times, the pilot would have spares ready to replace it.

It was outfitted to deal with high speed combat, which makes up for its lack of built in gunnery system. The fast acting thrusters on the outer-side of the leg joints are what allowed it to maneuver in a fashion of hyper-speed sharp maneuvering. This is easily exploited within city environment, where there are sharp turns and buildings to avoid because of the possible damages to the mecha itself if colliding with buildings.

(Lightweight Anti-Explosive Armor)
Specifically made to allow the mecha to withstand anti-tank rockets without falling apart, however, the price of such protection was its inability to withstand a direct blow from an artillery shell.

H.P.A.F.
(High Penetration Armored Feet)
It is designed to cause critical damage against armored vehicles like tanks and other mechas. The downside was its lack of support, making the mecha unable to stand on the ground without having to move around in a clumsy manner.

A.G.F.S.
(Anti-Gravitational Flight System)
Due to the impracticality in walking or running, jump-jets on its back was replaced with Palladium Repulsion System first invented fifteen years ago for preventing the mecha from touching the ground unless the pilot chose to lower it to the negative number in which the mecha would descend onto the ground and allow the A.G.F.S. to cause pinpoint carnage. Increasing the repulsion would tax the heat sinks, but it allows the mecha to ascend into flight. The only appropriate level was within zero. Less and the mecha would fall, but the heat sinks can recover quicker. Greater and the mecha can fly, but the mecha would be more susceptible to overheat, which stalls it.

Background/Roleplay Sample

Background: Retta is a career military woman from Normandy, France. As a child, she was raised in a military family and was trained since she could walk and salute. But due to how her parents trained her, she was infamous for her abuse to her subordinates and the absence of her emotion, making her a representing image of Hell’s Denizens. Her most outstanding action was killing five potential kidnappers with her father’s rapier when she was only eight years old. The rapier she carries around still was the same rapier that killed her innocence along with the five kidnappers. She was enlisted into the French Naval Force, then became a naval officer after three tours in the Middle East. She continued to surprise her superiors with her deadly precision when commanding the main cannons of the French battleship, Paris as the ship’s captain. However, her first failure was when her subordinates decided to refuse to take her orders due to her abuse upon them. She earned the hidden nickname, “The Bloody Tzar” for her choice of having her loyal soldiers open fire upon the rebelling crewmen for insubordination. In the end, she and her loyal soldiers continue on the mission by dragging themselves onto land and into enemy territory. She was never seen again in the French Navy. Within the airship, Vis Dei, she now commands a division under Jonathan Walker. The division was dominant with mobile armors called M.A.D. or Mobile Armor Division.
