ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: 1901

Twisted and distorted as of late was a clear indication of Ghislain's mind. His cerulean eyes looked on at the features of the area. He'd done away with Sterben in this place previously. Creation and other such things seemed to indicate where his power had gone. His body felt tinges of power within this world. But he wasn't here for a purpose of peace or talk. Quincy here had put the others at risk and that wasn't something he forgave. They put Nif and the Vandenreich at risk beyond anything he'd allow. This little group calling themselves the Emperor's Hand were to be destroyed. Not because Vanguard said so or even the Guild of Heroes. But because they threatened a chance at normal lives for their people. The bloodlust and desire for doing something like this. Arrows of reishi were fired but stopped where they were. They continued firing trying to prevent him from approaching. Fear and desperation as arrows were fired more and more. He simply didn't let them move as the arrows built up and his steps continued.

Ghislain said nothing as he'd once dreamed of the Baskerville Foundation of a dream and accomplishing something. But at this moment he wasn't sure what he would accomplish. Ghislain Eberhart the Hero of Darkness. Nothing more than a sad pretender who could only do little things now. If this was what they thought being Emperor meant they were mistaken. Years of fighting and blood feuds with the Gotei brought this out. It was unacceptable on every front and he'd not allow it to go on. "You naive children, you can't see the danger you put us in..You want to listen to you simply kill as he did..for that..I'm sorry but you must die." IT was sudden from his form but the entire area was hit by arrows. Millions came from his body going outwards as he stood still unmoving now. Ghislain had done nothing as the entire area was made into a pincushion. The dark arrows slowly filled the area. Escape was meaningless as they tried to run arrows simply hit them.

This place was an area where Ghislain could fight without holding back. He'd tracked them down or at least their patrol. He hated this feeling inside of him. The Hound that existed in him bloodthirsty and desiring him to do more. It was like Elizabeth said his heart broke every time. But this time it was for those precious ones so it was fine. A tear slowly trailed down the side of his face hidden beneath the cloak. His frame moved left dodging an attack that came from the shadow. Thrusting finger outwards at the lightning speed he merely stepped away now. His hand lowering as the cloaked figure hit the ground dead. His heart had been pierced as he walked away now from this location. The patrol was first and Ghislain's evening would be quite full. Would this mean Hayden would be upset and perhaps even Cirno? Would that make the place he belonged in this world vanish again? No matter any price was worth protecting the Vandenreich from this. These people would destroy the peace and cause trouble.

While it broke his Heart for a little while he would kill his own people to protect the rest of them.

Something stayed his hand as the arrows stopped now. Ghislain's hand gently touched his wife's locket. Slaughter was wrong where did he come off judging and slaughtering them. The black mass of arrows changed structure before contact turning into chains. These wrapped around those in question. Slowly he moved forward as energy couldn't seem to touch him. These would be given to the proper people in charge. No longer would life be extinguished beyond the law. The trial was the key in this world of life. Ghislain had no authority here and wouldn't pretend he did. Slowly knights formed around him and began to capture those wrapped up in chains. Putting them on a platform made of Dark Matter now that followed him as he walked. It wasn't a war or a genocide for him, murder could be no option. Stopping that many arrows had taken considerable control but weren't beyond him. One of them asked him why to which he looked towards the sky. "I nearly forgot something important, my wife once told me that man has no right in judging their fellow man. That is the duty of the system, your crimes are known but I cannot slay you for no justice or peace will be found. Our people must show we are better than savages and overcome much.."

"It is not my place to stain or make mud of our lives. I am but the failure of the Emperor who broke the chains that bound our people. Now it is up to them how they respond to you."
Power without control was nothing but an abomination without equal. Tempered the hand must be that wields such power. For a moment he'd forgotten the purpose of his exile. To learn peace and let go of the chains that bound him. It was the time he returned to the Vandenreich with these here. But a few more required capture for that task he would do his best. Murder and genocide weren't a pacifists way. The capture was a more befitting thing for him to do. Ghislain walked forward his hood remaining up. Chains shot from the ground and captured those who charged.

His control was exceptional as he didn't use his hands. His frame moved forward as it was time for not breaking this hand. But to deliver it to their people for them to decide the fate. Ghislain was neither God nor Emperor. This was up to the Vandenreich how they handled traitors who would push war with this world. Ghislain's deeds were questionable and everything he did. His wife's tears in the next life wouldn't be drawn by him. Inner peace was his goal and locating it while taking a while. Would be the driving force for him from here on. Slowly the platform was filled and the bound ones numbered in a rather decent number. He reached out feeling his digits clasp against the reality of this realm. He softly pierced it opening the portal now as he began to lead them off. He was the exiled Emperor who was bringing something for Nif to deal with. It seemed he always brought that girl nothing but troubled times. Ghislain may have been educated in things of old but that was it.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: 963

Cold like ice, a face that was unforgiving and without quarter. A step that resounded like gunfire as she crossed the expanse. The cool queen of the vandenreich had many things going on in her mind after getting a certain heads up from a secretary of. . Unsavory activities. Gone was the maternal love that blossomed within her breast for the people she protected, within it’s cherished place was a frigidity deserving of the very name she bore through this world.

Infact it wasn’t well discovered how she got the name “Niflheim”. A name which was in norse mythology a hell of ice. It was mostly due to the fact when she was the sternritter grandmaster of the vandenreich she was. .A queen without feeling, one who meated out punishment without mercy, without quarter and without feelings. Feelings in that era had no meaning to the queen of the quincy and they certainly did not have meaning now.

As her body connected her current space to the one ghislain was at within her mind's eye a mirror had appeared before her. It was the pristine reflective glass of crystallized energy that rippled as she stepped through it. Another had formed beside ghislain as she bridged the gap, her body moving through fluidly without any gap in her motions. Her eyes didn’t even look past ghislain. He knew the monster she truly was, or should have known from her time in the vandenreich.

She hadn’t the need to raise her bow. Rather as her energy picked up, it formed a barrier several hundred feet thick around them. On the outside the ground turned to ice within a mile radius, everyone who was running turned into statues. The ground shattered as the concept of absolute zero froze the air to temperatures that caused the vibration of atoms to all but stop. The very barrier she erected seemed to shatter in places further and further. The permeated cold causing even here in the center for her breath to raise like a cloud of smoke in the midst of the blood-filled night. Her eyes surveyed the vandenreich members that lay here, frozen like statues in the midst of their horror.

She was unique in a way that many quincy would never dream. Her thoughts, her concepts and ideals were interconnected with her energy at a much more intimate level. Reishi control was as easy as breathing, it was as easy as thought itself. But now she looked over at ghislain and frowned slowly. Her arms crossed as she leaned against the barrier behind her. The prim garb of the vandenreich glistening upon her, the emblem of her rank pinned to her chest and glimmering in the low light. Even as her arms folded modestly under her bust she remained calm and inspected the site surrounding her. For now she slowly said to the male named Ghislain.

”Are you sure the fallout is worth the risk to you Ghislain. “

There was no need for her to thank or admonish him, he’d done this of his own free will, and her own frigid actions had killed her men from an equally free will. She had no qualms with eradicating threats that threatened her people and their peace and tranquility. They had suffered enough and she was more than okay with the fact she would kill for them. But as she studied the man name ghislain who stood before her, she couldn’t see what the benifit would be for him anymore.
