ADAM EVE

Future↓Relic [Adam/Nathan] 6EdIfMt

Song: Boiling Point - Artist: Harumi Makoto - Words:

Relics of the past could always prove to be pillars of the future depending on how you reconstruct your perception and reality. This is why the likes of Adam found himself in the miserably hot outback of Australia. Where others saw danger and risk, Adam saw potential, hope and a way out. There were rumors that an absolute mad man roamed these lands as a scar that was left behind fallen the conflict of Australia which took place in 2413. He was onced a sworn protector of the Monsuta, but the jaws of that war claimed his sanity own and he was said to be decommissioned due to him being unable to determine friend from foe.

Thus, as the years went by, this fellow was left to rot within the ruins of this conflict. The Monsuta found new replacements, new men and carried on as usual. Hence, it seemed many within the Monsuta appeared to be outright terrified of this man known as Nathan Washi. None of them dared to want to come to the Outlands of Australia and retrieve their fallen comrade because of the absurd risk that came with dealing with a person mind who had fallen prey to this world's madness.

Yet -- Adam feared that not one bit. The reason for that is because he felt his heart, mind and powers yielded the capacity to alter this existence. And, if his current track record of success had anything to say aobut it, he had more than enough good reason to believe. So there stood a lot to gain by taking this mission that no other man dared to take. A new ally, a chance to his empathy and to see just how far his own strength as a man could come.

Pretty fun stuff, right? You gotta keep finding ways to keep the heart ticking and apart of himself just wanted to come out here for the sheer thrill of it. So, the male spent the day looking high and low for any trace of this savage. However, he didn't seem to have any luck with it. As the afternoon sun drenched down upon his pink dress, Adam took a soft sigh and wondered if this guy was even alive as he drank out of a clear water bottle.

"Alright universe. I'm going to need you to work with me and give me a sign. I don't like going on wild goose chases. You told me something was out here, so come on and show it to me like you have before. I put together the code, now unlock something."

Sure, it may have seemed like he was talking to himself, but he was mentally trying to figure out what protocols he needed to make this puzzle whole. Did he need to level this place? Or perhaps he needed to find other people who saw heads or tails of this person? Hell, if it was anything like his beach encounter, maybe the sign will come to him.

No matter what else occured, maybe a little break could do him good and it's why Adam found himself in the middle of a large opening. As he sat on a rock, all he could see was dust, rock, ruins, skeletons and blue skies as far as the eye can see. Not a bad sight as it could be a lot worse.

Still -- this wasn't his ideal reality. He did not find what he was here for yet! So he couldn't exactly enjoy the sights just yet.

"Show me something......!"

Madness of its own accord...

Teeth. Sustenance. Hunger.

Lips pulled into flesh, drawing back as sinew separated from the carcass. The creature that was feeding slowly opened its maw, letting blood and visceral drip away. Craaaw… Thought was too difficult for the creature, so it lowered its mouth again. His jaws tore into the creature again and again, reach deeper and deeper. The bovine he was devouring was still twitching from how recently it had held life. The blood and meat dripping along the male's mouth were warm.

That warmth pleased him, a bit. It told him he was drawing closer. Moving his face father into the corpse, he continued to delve, tearing away until he finally reached his prize. Opening his mouth wide, he bit in hard into the creature's liver, his jaws separating and coming together rapidly as he used his canines to gain his prize. The nutrional value of the liver should not be underestimated.

The male drew his head back, his palms still held against the cold cavern walls. Out of his back, six appendages planted themselves into the stone, acting as grips. Strange fur-like hair bordered his neck and along his back where the appendages drew out from. This fur slid down his back, converging around his waist. Out of the side of his head, two horns stretched upwards. Adorning his chest were several red tattoos, glowing in the darkness of the cave. The spider-like creature did not require light in order to hunt, to feed. To grow.

All that this creatuer wanted in life was silence. He wanted life to be quiet, he wanted to not have to think. That sole desire propelled the creature, crawling slowly back down from the wall of the cavern. There had been someone else who had attempted to end his silence, to make him think. That being was effective at devouring things, and had found his appetite quite interesting. However, they had been unable to attract him out of his cavern completely, so he had returned to his former way of life. A simple way of life. A way of life that did not involve hurting himself. A way of life that did not involve others hurting him. A way of life free of the interactions of others, where he could live as a beast. It pleased him to live this way. It let him hide from the pain.

So it was that the male known as Adam would witness a peculiar sight. That sight was a strange line of blood, rising out of the ground. This was the creature disposing of its meal. It was dragging it along beneath the ground, in such a narrow space that the blood was rising out from beneath it. Perhaps he would notice the strange outcropping of rocks that the blood trail was coming away from. This was one of the spider's home caves. He had carved it out himself with explosives, just as he had the trail that lead away from it. That dried blood was running along a path which, when closely examined… was deeply stained. This was not the first or second time that a body had been dragged this way, through this tunnel. Dozens of time, blood had oozed from it.

Perhaps Adam would interact with the blood trail. Perhaps he would wait until the strange clicking sound that accompanied it would return to its cavern. Either way, this area was known for having livestock and even the occasional farmer disappear on occasion. It was thought that this land was cursed… but then, spots like this had been popping up over the last few years. Then formerly cursed areas would be left alone again, and the farmers would begin to feel that they were safe. The reality was that this spider like beast… had simply been changing its hunting grounds.

As the creature returned to its home once more… it could sense it. A heartbeat, pulsating against the stone. "…Tiss…." He let out a small hiss, moving back to his cave. He did not like outsiders. He did not like those who attempted to break through his silence and quiet. He did not want them. He thought that they should simply leave him alone. He had left the world alone, mostly. Why could they not do the same?

Why could they not just let him live as a monster, unable to think or feel?

ADAM EVE

Future↓Relic [Adam/Nathan] 6EdIfMt

Song: Healing Springs - Artist: Kaivaan - Words:

Death was always a pleasant smell to indicate that he was in the right direction. No matter where Adam went, death was always sure to accompany. Whether that meant him making the killing, others doing the dirty deed or people outright offing themselves; a trail of blood was always a welcome site to the male, and he seemed to have playful laugh come out of his tender little lips when he saw the sight taking place.

"Well, it seems as if fortune has shined positively on both me and...."

Despite his jovial tone of speaking, there was a definite fear within Adam's body for the primal savagery which took place, but his mind had been far disconnected from it. Fear was natural as it told him the actions he were making was bold and impactful. And, to gain something great, you must fear losing something precious. So, it is why he could smile, embrace the terror and gaze straight into the jaws of death itself as he relished the high he got from feeling his adrenaline surge, swell and accelerate to make him feel alive once more.

"...you."

Without seeming to care one bit about his personal space, the male started to approach the craven where all of this lovely blood was oozing from and appear to have an air of calm radiating from his chi. As, at this point, Adam's body seemed to be emitting a glow which was drenched in cherry pink and pale white hues. With this spreading throughout the land, the male made it clear he was not here for ill-will, to harm him or anything malicious. If anything, Adam also felt sorry for the male that the world had reduced him to such a pathetic state.

Neigh, as he entered the cave, this wasn't a position of superiority or anything like that. There were plenty of skills, intelligence, and feats Adam that could make him enter into a loop of mental masturbation if he wanted to feel that way. What was radiating throughout his heart at the moment was the somber sight of the disease of death consuming the soul of an otherwise perfect human. The male could outright feel the sense of madness, death, and conflict of his hollowified soul and it saddened him to see this sight because of the fact that he scorned the gods for making this a reality for those who adhere to their rules.

So, when presented with this sight of infinite hurt that he could not even begin to imagine, Adam held his arms out and motioned for the creature to come toward him and embrace him in a hug. That is the main thing that the influence of Eve felt that this man needed more than anything else. Excluding Adam's desire to want to recruit another brother back into the ranks of the Monsuta, the love within his own essence could see past those worldly desires and desired to want to reach Nathan to pull him out of this pit of insanity.

"I'm not here to fight you. Do not worry. All I want to do is take away that hurt that I can feel from a mile away there."

While Adam's voice may have been filled with bratty tones prior to his entrance into the cave, what was speaking now seemed to be far more gentler than whatever he sounded like before. His face soften, eyes sparkled with life and there really was nothing but acceptance in his gaze for this person in front of him. As it was not right to even refer to him as a creature of his mind as he was STILL a man behind all of the ridiculous scarrings this existence had inflicted upon him.

"You don't have to come near me. You can hurt me. Or you can embrace me. Whatever you choose to do, I will support it wholeheartedly."

That was no lie, either. Adam was more than prepared for any scenario to come from making himself so open and vulnerable. He saw death, indifference, love, release, and freedom so many other possibilities behind those hot pink eyes of his. They were all the strings of reality which had brought these two together on this day. And this could end up being the best thing that ever happened to Nathan, or it could end in just another meal for him. Whatever he decided to choose, Adam was ok with it. He just wanted him to come further out of that cavern.

Madness of its own accord...

Closer. Closer. Closer.

The spider creature's heart began to beat faster, irritation spreading across his face. He did not want someone to disturb the life that he had. He just wanted to wallow. No. No. No. The presence of the male was upsetting to the creature, slinking back as they attempted to enter his cavern. He was slinking towards the back of the cavern, away from where the person was. His first instinct was always to avoid conflict if he could. He always tried to stay out of sight - why could the rest of the world not let him do that?

Of course not. The rest of the world would never allow him his peace. The rest of the world that had told him to solve his problems by himself. He was solving them, one bloody cow carcass at a time. They demanded he work out a way of living. This was his way. They demanded that he was unable to even die correctly. So he would live like this.Where he did not bother anyone of import. Where he did not form any relationships that others could shatter. He envied the predators of the world, those without conscious thought. They were able to live and hunt and were never bothered. At least, not bothered like this. With prey that they did not wish to hunt.

The idea of an embrace was otherworldly to the creature. When it saw the beckoning hand, it enraged him. It seemed to be a provocation. "…Tsss…TSSSS….SSS!" A hissing noise poured outwards from his lips, an eye twitching from the sound of that gentle tone. He made it clear that he did not want the being here. The words that he spoke were like an echo of a dream; they were fuzzy. For someone who had not used speech in such a long time, or heard it used, he felt as if he had to catch up a bit just to understand. Here to fight you. -not?- Worry -do… not?- Hurt that I can feel -take away?-

Confusing, it was all confusing. That look in his eyes, so confusing. Within the expression of the creature there remained only the light of survival. Blood still covered his face and torso from his meal. It was caked into his short brown hair. The creature did not understand that tone. He knew he did not deserve that tone. He did not want that tone, he did not want it near him. It was a tone that he had once used, a tone that lead to misery. Misery and pain. No no no no no. His head shook back and forth, his hands gripping onto the blood-tinged horns on his head, his eyes closed. He definitely seemed to be in mental distress over something… and at last, he swiped his hand forwards, hopping back against the wall of the cavern.

Out of the male's hand emerged a peculiar misshapen creation of clay. It was warped and decayed, as if the mind that had created it could only get so far. Out of the creature's fingers it spawned, flying towards Adam. When it impacted, an explosion occurred. Either on the male himself, or on the ground directly in front of him. There was not enough in there to kill him. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Leave alone. Leave alone alone alone alone. Please, please… please…

The explosion rocked the cavern that the creature had created, not that he particularly minded. The weaker sections that lead away from the cavern were beginning to fall, and debris was coming down from the roof of this cave. His body moved itself about on those spider-like appendages, dodging them as he slinked backwards more. He just wanted the person to go away. Then he could turn around and keep burrowing, keep digging farther and farther. He could crawl into his hole, his hole, his hole. He wanted to crawl away. He wanted to dig deeper. He did not want to kill someone with a gentle tone in their voice. Don't want. Don't want. Why, why, why. Go away.

Leave alone.

Please?

SIMPLY HUMAN

ADAM EVE

Future↓Relic [Adam/Nathan] 6EdIfMt

Song: Understanding - Artist: HunterxHunter - Words:

All beings who were brought to conscious life suffered in some form or another. Animals had the simplistic instinct of being pushed towards living day to day to hunt and listen to their primal urges, while creatures with more developed brains endured anguish which was almost incomprehensible to those who lacked the proper awareness and cognitive functions to otherwise grasp. In fact, as the cliched saying goes, the more knowledge one acquires, the further this world seems to be increasingly more bleak and despair-inducing. At least, that is what Adam figured if one lacked the proper emotional intelligence to deal with transversing one conscious, soul and body through such a grim reality.

And that is why he stood before this frightened animal to offer him an alternative to this terrifying reality he found himself ensnared within. To Adam, Nathan's reduced state of being was a symbol of what he fought against in this world. As the male was far too spiteful to give into the abyss of death, the alteration of his human shell and to renounce his humanity to become something so horrifyingly different than it's original intended human essence. If he ever allowed himself to die, he'd sooner break his soul and do whatever it took to come back as human or not at all to avoid the same fate.

Which is why it was laughable that these creatures ruled over the world. As at the root of their essence, they were nothing more than superpowered animals enforcing their primal terrors on the world with how they regressed, tamed and controlled everything. Were humans any better? Hard to say, but he knew most other races within this life shared an affinity for the human form and that was no coincidence his mind.

Ahhhhhhhh -- but such self-indulgement thoughts weren't to be relished for too long. Adam forgot that he wasn't one of them and his mind came back to reality when he saw the sight of Nathan snarling, hissing and positioning his terrified body language to speak with his body that he was going to attack. To which -- Adam paid no mind to. On a primal level? Sure, Adam had a nauseating feeling in his gut, his heart was racing at a million miles per second in anticipation to the pain to come and his skin felt clammy to the core. However, his mind was anything but.

What was there to fear from a creature who was more afraid of you then you are of it? He was a human and this poor man had reduced himself to nothing more than a mindless beast. And men do not fear beast. It is why he remained opened and allowed him to act aggressively to vent, gallop around and get out his concerns in the most violent way possible.

Thus, as the sounds of explosions ripped through the cave following the frantic dash of the man's misshapen creature, Adam did not move from his spot. And so, as a consequence of this rash decision, the male suffered bodily harm to himself. His right arm suffered third-degree burns, which felt like nothing given how much nerve damage was inflicted upon him. No. What hurt him more was the pressure from the explosion as it felt like his vomited blood out of his guts, the sensation of fire swept his body and his bones felt as if they had been crushed by a giant of some kind.

With his vision blurred, ears ringing and body littered with wounds and cuts, the male still seemed to be standing and holding out his arms despite how tattered and beaten he looked. Again, he was not scared and only dared to approach closer as he maneuvered himself through the falling debris. The love within his heart could be felt to a greater degree at this point as his pink chi overfilled the cave; as this potent source of human emotion fueled his chi and granted it the supernatural blessing to deflect away any of the rocky projectiles which rained down upon Adam.

"You may very well kill me and make me go away, but I will give you something to help. I promise."

Even as blood started gushing out of the male's shirt, he found the strength to move on, embrace the vizard in a hug. Fully anticipating a savage reaction, Adam let go a placid sigh and acted on what he felt was right. As, if allowed to get this close, a knife was going to move at mach two speeds from out of Adam's chi. This knife was quite near and dear to the man's heart was it was one of the tools that he was going to use to cut through and end the stagnation of the world. It possessed the ability to purge the growth of what Adam determines to be "detriments to evolution".

By targeting the animalistic fears, anxiety, hurt and pain from his mind; Adam intended to revert his conscious back to where it was prior to whatever incident made him this way. Or, if that were not a reality, the mental barriers which prevented him from moving behind this spot and being attached to the stagnation of this cave were going to be released if allowed to fully flourish within his mind. In exchange, Adam was more than willing to give up his chi, bodily health or even his own life if this risk turned out to be wrong.

Why would he do such a thing? It's what made life worth living. To be able to make such decisions based on his human heart, mind and ability was what made him feel alive. The spite, the love, the intelligence, the emotion; all of it is what made him tick and gave him purpose. If he lacked these feelings, then his life would be worth less than an animal and he'd have no right to exist. Which is why, in his own twisted way, he wanted to free Nathan from that worthless reality to realize his own greatness as a creature that was once human.

"Just tell me: why are you this way....? What made you into this? You do not have to give me anything else if you don't want to."

Madness of its own accord...

Go… away…. Nathan's mind was still reeling, blood pounding into his head. "Tssssssss…" It unnerved the arachnid being. The emotional response which he was receiving was all wrong. He was like an animal who could not figure out why its prey was not scared… and so was hesitating.

Pain. More pain. More pain, more and more. The Vizard thought, witnessing the blood that was spilling out of the male's body. It had been a long time since the creature had been harmed. His skin was durable, to say the least. NO.NO.NO.NO. An inhuman cry left the being's body as the pink chi began to encroach upon his cave. Arms reached above his head, pressing hard into his skull as he dropped into the ground. Screaming cries ripped against the walls of the cavern, making thought difficult as the spider-creature slammed his head repeatedly into the stone. In this case, however, Nathan's skull was significantly more durable than the material which he was now crushing against.

Rocks shot out from where his skull impacted, clattering and clanging against the inside of the cavern. Out, out, out, OUT! Nathan's body whirled around, hands reaching for the stone…

Krroooom! Crraaaan… FROOOOMW!

Explosions began pouring out, blasting like dynamite out of the creature's hands. The appendages pierced into the stone as he continued to cry, smashing and exploding as he burrowed away from the presence that was Adam. The presence of trying to embrace him had caused this dramatic reaction. It was as if basic human warmth was a scar upon his heart. No, no. No, won't. Refuse. Refuse! Even as he clawed and thrust his body forwards, he was not able to move very quickly. If Adam risked the boulder and debris, it was still possible to catch up…

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, ME, ME, ,MEM EME EMEMEME[E-----

Nathan's mouth roared, his body twitching and jerking as the knife pierced into his back. There was a battle occurring now, between Nathan's spiritual energy and durability and the foreign object that was trying to push its way inside of him. Reject, reject, no, no, no, no, no! Terrified screams poured from his lips, his back arching and cracking as Nathan gripped onto his face.

…Master?

An instant, a single opening emerged in the male's defenses… and the blade pierced through.

"Gaaah… Gah, raghpg-a…How, no, no, no, name… haha… No, never… Why, go… no, no, no…!" A terrified expression let out, as the spider like appendages began to crumble, seizing on his back and falling into dust. Where they had been, two wings slowly began to unfurl, rising up and out of the creature's back. Hands gripped into the stone, explosions continuing to go off. A crater appeared around the male's body where the bursts and explosive charges continued to blast.

"No… Again… again, again, again, again, again…" Tears poured from the face of the male, his head rising up before smashing into the ground. An explosion happened each time he did this, likely making it difficult for Adam to make out anything he was saying. The man with wings, so different from the spider-like being, remained unaffected by them.

"…I can't… not again, don't make me again… don't… why… why did you… have to… I didn't… I didn't… STOP TRYING… stop it…" Tears poured out of his eyes, and Nathan Washi's body crumpled onto the floor of the cave. "No escape, never escape… why, why, why, why, why, why. I don't… don't… Don't want to…"

Hands reached out, clawing at the rock. "Go back, kill, harm, maim, no more… no more… just… no, more…! Please…!" He begged the stone walls, before turning to the male who had turned him back… into this. "…You….!" An extremely timid voice muttered, its owner attempting to rise from the floor. A knee slammed into the rubble, and the Washi lifted himself up on it. Behind the timidity in his eyes… there was rage. "You… you… I will never forgive you!" The words were spoken with raw emotion, pure humanity lacing this hatred.

Didn't want, didn't want, still not, no. Why could he not just leave me, just leave me alone?! Why can't anyone just leave me alone? Why do they keep…

"I don't… owe you… anything…!" Nathan told him, the wings rising behind him… before wilting again. The male slowly crumpled, turning back into a pathetic lump, his head facing downwards as tears poured down his face. "I want to kill you… so much…" The male's expression warped, his eyes strained. This was Nathan Washi, former Shield of the Monsuta. In some ways, he was almost child-like… and yet he did understand the world. A part of his personality was warped. "I'm…"

The world became dizzy. The amount of change that the male had undergone was so dramatic, so sudden… it was difficult for him to maintain consciousness. It would be little surprise when the blood splattered man's torso crashed into the ground at last, completely spent.

Pointless. It's so pointless. Staying awake, asleep… I don't want it, I don't want it, don't want it, make it leave me alone. That's not me. Not me, not me. I am me. Why am I me? What makes… me…?

Even though his consciousness was barely present, a woeful noise kept coming out of his throat. A sound combined from the distress of what he had been forced through, combined with the need to breathe that was getting more and more difficult. His youthful face was so red…

...I'm going to be used again... used, and discarded...

A deep shuddering breath filled his lungs again as he let out an uncontrollable cry.

ADAM EVE

Future↓Relic [Adam/Nathan] 6EdIfMt

Song: Manyme - Artist: Plaid - Words: N/A

The screams of bloody murder were always a treat for Adam to indulge in when it pertains to his sadistic patterns. It seemed quite funny for him to observe because being alive was quite the painful thing to endure. Every waking second of every waking day was a challenge to push one's mind, expand a person's spiritual being, pursue some goal and exert frustration, energy and the tolerance to cope with the pain of living. And, for those who did not enjoy the brutal suffering of it all like he did, Adam could see how this was not the ideal reality to have one's mind call home.

However, even if this world was not perfect, there was no need to reduce one's self to being less dignified than a domesticated animal on its last legs and ready to be put down by Dr.Jack-All. While Adam did indeed come here to retrieve Nathan to otherwise further his own goals and the Monsuta's, that did not negate the beauty of his own free will and heart since the mindset of Eve could see the pain the male was in quite well. If fate were willing to play nice and allow Adam to avoid having to do anything nasty, the vizard was only going to be added muscle to further the odds of The Monsuta remaining a credible and stable threat in the world by amassing more potent threats within their ranks.

That is all he wanted out of him. Nothing more, nothing less.

Which then left the doors open in his mind to help this man find his bearings, get his act together and fight against the decay of his infected mind. As Adam saw him as a human who was sickened with a disease that was corroding his very sense of being. And, if he could help, he'd cut out the chains of stagnation within his mind. Hence, it's why Nathan risked him running away, injuring himself or not even getting a return on his investment. These were all acceptable outcomes as there were no wrong or right choices to be made in a world as skewered like this one wqas.

Instead, he just allowed for Nathan to vent, get his emotions out and accepted the explosive rampage which was coming. As, when the eruptions of energy washed down on Adam, his body was flung backward as his Chi attempted to shield him from more severe injuries which were raining down upon him. He got thrown around like a ragdoll, bloodied up, bruised up and otherwise felt like his body went to utter shit. However, he was still breathing, still thinking and could carry on with what his mind wanted to do.

Therefore, when the ringing in his ears stopped, the male coughed up a bit of blood, shook off the waves of dizziness throughout his numb body and stared upwards at the sight of the male beginning to crack at the seams and shatter the remains of his insanity. Adam most certainly felt pangs of hurt when seeing the man stripped down to this very troubled state. However, like watching a kid injure them for the first time, there was nothing left for him to do but allow the child to cope with the pain, harden up and grow from the experience and learn not to repeat it and evolve. That's just how progression of the world, people and the mind worked.

Thus, as he spat his venomous words towards Adam, the male could only let out a gentle laugh.

"So you can speak..."

Slowly, but surely, Adam made his way over to the male. After taking a slight pause in dialogue, he then chuckled and continued on.

"Do you really think I'm in a position to force you to do anything? You can kill me right now and that will be fine."

Although there were ways for Adam to increase his chances of survival, it wasn't as if he was dragging him by chain and collar to the Monsuta. As far as he was concerned, the care he had in his heart to tend to his injuries far outweighed the negative of him wanting to use the male as a piece of his puzzle. More than anything else, while there were many shades of negative light within Adam, there were still tingles of something positive. As that was the nature of man: they held equal capacities to be the most horrendous monsters in existence and the most caring and beautiful beings to grace this earth.

And, on this day, he'd choose to be the latter and extend some compassion to this man. Therefore, even as he laid on the ground beginning to pass out, Adam allowed his body to be enveloped within his chi so that he could feel the warmth of a mother's protection. This was the feminity of Eve overflowing within him, nurturing him and feeding him nothing but restorative properties which would allow him to have a soft and placid dream.

"Mhm. You can kill me all you want if you aren't happy with the results of your second chance. Then you can kill yourself as well. But until then, I won't allow someone to rot and fester under the curse of this...error....like this."

There really wasn't much else to say a man on the verge of the sweet bliss of unconsciousness. Ergo, Adam proceeded with extracting the male from the cave and began the long venture back to a nearby metallic hovercraft which was large enough to fit a small family in. With it's coordinates programmed for Brazil, the male intended for them to retreat back to Monsuta territory, recover, rest and get him back on his feet to otherwise get a gameplan going and move on from this day of restored conciosuness.

So, as the hovercraft began to fly off towards the heavens, the journey had just began for the two of them.

What did the future hold for this relationship? Adam could think of a million possible outcomes, but it was best to just wait and see what would happen. Taking each day as it came was the best way to maintain one's sanity in a world where it all can be taken away in the blink of an eye.

Madness of its own accord...

While most individuals would experience pain and grow for it… Nathan was not a normal individual. Driven rapidly to the point of snapping several points through both of his lives, he was now being forcibly dragged out of the only kind of peace he had ever known. His mind was fractured, simply put. His Inner World was a blank classroom, because of the lack of any kind of personal course. He did not feel that he could grow from his pain; he simply experienced it, and tried to move on with his life. He did not want this.

"…Of course I can… But I don't want to… Don't want to… Not be used... no, can't... can't use me... don't want.. don't..." Nathan sobbed, still pounding his head into the ground. "I-I-I…" Nathan stammered, covering his head with his arms. He just wanted the man to go away. He seemed completely harmless in this state, as if the murderous creature earlier was a different person. "I don't… want… want… don't want… to hurt anyone…!" The passive man sobbed, burying his head deeper in the sand, the breaking noises in his throat of his crying filling the cave.

"Aah… aah… the light… the cursed… light… it lies… it whispers sweet promises, but it lies… because once it goes… the dark, the dark nibbles… it snips and bites….!" Nathan choked out at the light that was wrapping around him, even as his eyes began to lose their ability to see. Dark patches appeared around his vision from how much his body had been put through. This was the first time he had been allowed to stop, and the way he felt was similar to an individual who had been living as a prisoner of war in an inhospitable location for dozens of years.

"Can't… kill self… cycle.. Cycle, cycle never ends.. Never… never, never, never, never…" Nathan whispered out as he laid on the ground, most of his form still. "…The Dark… the dark, the sweet, sweet… Dark…"

Nathan's head finally stopped twitching, and he laid limply within the light. He was unconscious for the trip back to the ship, something that would have offended him while awake. His wings would have also gone limp, making transporting the male's body awkward for Adam. After all, he would have to readjust himself constantly to keep one of those wings from slapping him in the face or unbalancing them both.

Nathan also had no idea where this relationship could go... but he had absolutely no hope in regards to it. He understood that he would probably be given a purpose once more... but there was no way that he could ever feel peaceful with it.

That was what he believed, at least...
