» Item Description: The Alter Seal is a small tube of blood which was generated from Adam's body. It automatically refills itself at the end of every day and is contained in a vile no larger than your typical needle. The contents of this piece of equipment, given it's small size, also was fortified enough to be equal in durability to a master hierro. So it's quite the hard object to destroy since there is a dense amount of chi which into it's creation.

With that said, Variff Granz has the ability to alter non-living molecules within a ten feet area of effect of material that he has a strong idea of how to manipulate. Therefore, the Alter Seal seeks to infuse the knowledge that both Adam and The Monsuta possess of varying supernatural and non-supernatural elements into the world within the seal. This is so that he can gain a wider array of elements to manipulate with his ability.

However, the trade off for this is that he must mark the top of his hand with this blood and he can only use this ability actively for four post. After the four post are up, he will then go back to a three post cooldown before it can be used again. This makes it to where he does not automatically have all of this knowledge at his hand and will have to train to retain the knowledge that is stored within the seal. As if he does not figure out a way to memorize the knowledge in his own way, it will eventually disappear from his memory.

So it gives Variff Granz a way to advance his ability greatly, but it has to be done in a way that is relatable to him and his life and the way he fights. If he does not figure out a way to customize this knowledge, then it will backfire and go away from him.
