I. Basic Information

» Name: Daigoro Ito
» Alias: Red Dumbass, Platinum Wall
» Age: 835
» Gender: Male - most of the time

» Association: Self-aligned, tends to associate with whomever he feels like.

» Appearance Written: The first thing that you would see if you were to look at Daigoro Ito would be that he doesn't look like someone who would be “The One Who Walked The Path Of Blood”, or “The Platinum Wall”. His entire figure is slender and slim, with very few muscles despite the years of physical training that his body has gone through. If one were to strip away the layers of clothing that covered his body, they'd be able to see just how light the flesh that covers his body just is; and then they'd find themselves entranced. For up the center of Daigoro's lower back is a large scar, crossing from the right side of his body to the left with a single cut; an inch wide, a foot long.

Dai wears his emotions on his face, and his sleeves, and all over his body, basically. If he is feeling an emotion, he will not hide it from anyone. In fact, he finds it difficult to do so. His eyes, of a deep red hue, are always looking into the distance, staring out over the horizon. If one were to look deeper into these eyes, they'd see the welled up emotion that existed within the orbs. These eyes always have an appearance of wishful thinking, but no regret. There is a powerful strength behind that emotion that can really only be seen when Daigoro himself is riled up by something, or prepared to die for what he's doing. The hair that hands down from his head is a darker and deeper shade of red than his eyes, and seems to flow like a river as he moves. The hair itself is not a natural color, and should have reverted to it's original color by now, but has not, for some reason. It also hides a lot of Daigoro's scars and what he would like to hide. This hair used to reach his feet, but at one point he cut it shorter, causing it to now only reach about his tailbone in length - these days it is even shorter, only reaching his shoulders. His facial expression is almost always benevolent, with a kind stare emanating from him despite anything that may or may not be happening.

There is almost always a weak scent of lavender coming from Daigoro's body, something that he himself has not been able to explain despite his hardest attempts to do so. It is not an aphrodisiac, nor is it anything that could affect those around him. It's hard to explain, really; it could possibly be the shampoo or soap that he uses on his body, or it could be just some strange phenomena that occurs around this redheaded individual, but nobody can really explain it completely. As well as that, his entire body has a soft glow around it when he's not in Joushou or Zenou, but that is explained by the natural Kidō resistance that he had earned from his Sacred.

Daigoro walks with a slow and casual gait, not really seeming to be heading anywhere, but not just ambling along either. He almost seems to be keeping an eye out for anything that might possibly occur, but one can never be really sure with Dai; there are things that seem to be enigmas about this man's very existence, and if you tried to explain everything that you could about Daigoro, you would be stuck for a very long time trying to work out exactly what you were looking for.

II. Personality

» Personality: At a first glance, Daigoro Ito would appear to be a man of many different moods and mind-sets—much like any other being, but in a strange way. If one was to speak to him, they would see him possibly change personality several times throughout the conversation, depending on how he had been spoken to. A firm believer in equality and balance, he feels that if someone’s willing to do something to you, then they should be prepared to take what they gave. If one was to speak kindly to him, then he would speak kindly back - and vice versa. If someone was to attack him in a form of anger, then he would defend himself with some form of anger back, although most likely without the same strength and proper rage behind it - one who knows Daigoro personally knows him as a greatly benevolent individual, who rarely tries to harm others without very good reason. Upon meeting him for the first time, one’s first impressions can be quite good—Dai is easy to trust those he meets, but also quite quick to change his opinion on someone, depending on their actions. If he does not mind you, his face will be a kindly one, his lips turned up in a smile. Anything else will bring forth a neutral expression.

Daigoro has a crazy ideal. His ideal is that all life upon this planet, and within all the realms, is equal. All lives are to be saved, unless they have chosen to act in a way that doesn’t deserve their existence; ‘evil’ people do not get the chance at retribution, unless they have proven that they will attempt to fix their ways. He doesn't try to choose who lives and dies—he hates the idea of judging the fate of another being on the same level—however, he will always choose to protect those that he cares about with more strength than he would if he were attempting to protect someone that was not close to him. Innocents and the weak will always be an exception to that scale. That said, Dai is, or attempts to be, unbiased in all of his opinions, and tries to take in both sides of the story of an argument. He refuses to act upon menial accusations, finding them ‘petty’ and ‘worthless’. He will also not hesitate to strike down a Hollow, finding their base instinct ‘horrid’. Arrancar are a different story, as they have gained the power to choose their path.

The best kinds of dreams are the unattainable kind; and Dai’s dream is no exception. His dream, having being built up through his life, has grown to be a wish for peace. He wants to stop the wars, end the struggles, and attempt to have all life live in harmony with one-another, rather than attempting to kill each other. He believes that all beings have the power to do such a thing, and will often try and convince them as such if he feels like he can. He knows that some have a deep-seated evil, however. He is not naïve: he already knows that this dream is completely impossible. He already knows that justice will not prevail, and that they will have to become Demons to kill those Demons at their gates. He has already made this choice, but that dream is what lights up the battles.

In battle, Daigoro knows that he can take most of what others can throw at him. This has made him slightly more reckless, and yet also benevolent to the point of seeming arrogant. If he sees that he might end up injuring others more than they would need or be able to heal from properly, he will refuse to fight someone, unfortunately seeming arrogant to them. His general dislike for fighting is usually removed when he actually gets into the fight itself, losing his usual benevolent self to the heat and adrenaline that the ride to possible death causes. He may enter the fight with the intention of simply defending himself, however he will almost always end up attempting to overwhelm his opponent with an almost feral and indomitable style.

When he follows any lead in his research, he will follow any lead that he is given. He says that, instead of losing a good lead, he will always follow what he is given. Even if the lead was a wild goose chase for him, and he wasted his time doing it, it will always be worth it to him. Daigoro also has a hefty air of nonchalance, almost boredom, about him. It's not the same as this “arrogance”, but it's rather similar. If you take a first look at him, he doesn't appear to care. In fact, it almost always seems that way. However, it is not quite as simple as that. He tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves, but he has learned to control himself enough that he keeps calm when he has to. His face will almost always tell you everything that he’s feeling at the time, however.

He is also generally sarcastic and joking, however he is never malicious towards someone unless he sees some side of them that he doesn't like. He automatically locks onto the good within people, no matter whom they are, and will reject somebody if he sees no retrievable good in their heart. His one dream is peace, as mentioned before, and he will do anything to make that goal possible - except for merciless or undeserved killing.

When in battle, Daigoro is careful around his opponents. He will try to goad them into attacking him first, and use his immense defensive strength to his advantage. Daigoro is highly unlikely to attack in the first place, taking his time in order to discern what the next plan of attack would be, or what the best idea for defending is. However, when he is finally forced to take up proper arms, he switches tactics often, moving from hand-to-hand to weapon and back quite often, in order to confuse his opponents into slipping up. He is a very psychological fighter, using that defense to cause them to anger more, pull out their more powerful weapons and give him more to work with and fight with. It’s also a good fear tactic against some opponents—there are very few beings that won’t get at least somewhat scared of him once he’s taken a few hundred of their attacks.

Daigoro's mental and physical will is also at an amazing level; and if he was to be told that there were insurmountable odds against him... he'd still press on. He’d stand there, take whatever came at him, and yet he would make sure that he survived to live for another day. If he has something to live for, he will refuse to allow himself to die.

III. History

» History: Up until recently.

That said, things are always ever-changing. Several changes happened throughout his life, the temporary change from Shinigami to Sugiura, becoming an Angel and eventually the battle for Madness City. He died there. He should have died for good - yet he did not. For five years the belief was that Daigoro Ito had perished, that he was no more. Stories that were told of the man’s legendary durability and unbreakable will were replaced with tales of how he had fallen to the most paltry of foes; Madness. For all of his defences, there was no way to stop his mind from breaking, his body from falling after. Yet his story did not end there - almost in a way that could be called a reversion, the power granted to him by the Truth of the World evaporated from his body and made manifest, coddling him and keeping him alive until he was ready to awaken, Sugiura no longer, yet still Daigoro Ito. Things are ever-changing, yet there are some things that remain the same.

IV. Equipment

» Equipment: None currently, as has just awoken from death.

V. Definitions

As it has been stated a large number of times, Daigoro Ito is a defense-based fighter. His strategies revolve around his use of his own defensive capabilities in order to play around with the battle mentalities of his opponents, forcing them to use all of their energy in attempts to knock him down, though rarely coming to fruition. However, it has been rarely defined as to exactly what entails each defensive process that Daigoro has, nor has it been stated what Daigoro's capable of defending against--this section is here to discuss such things in detail (hopefully).

Physical Attacks: As with everything else, the physical is the easiest way to describe the defense of Daigoro Ito. With every melee attack that collides with his body, he seemingly 'defends' against it, taking far less damage than most would be able to. Normally, this would seem to be quite simple--however, when it comes to enemies with considerable strength and power being barely able to scratch him with simple attacks, one has to wonder how this is possible. With what is known as the 'hardening matrix', Daigoro's skin, in that very exact spot, will harden in an instant with a large addition of spiritual particles--as if he had increased his own reiatsu in that area to knock back the reiatsu of the other. As if to add to this, he also has a strangely low centre of gravity, which makes him even more difficult to knock to the ground--it's even worse if Dai is using [Anchor].

Spiritual Attacks: Daigoro retains his defensive maneuvers against most spiritual attacks, much in the same fashion as he does against physical attacks. However, not all of the spiritual weave is able to contain the damage from the spiritual attacks, leaving a lot of the damage room to power through--if hit with enough, they may even be able to open up larger and larger gaps in order to open his flesh. About three-quarters of Dai's physical resistance is what is effective against spiritual attacks, however if someone barrages him with high-level reishi attacks, that can be dropped to a half.

Magic: Dai knows little about magic--he knows that it is not completely spiritual, nor is it really that physical--if something comes from an origin that the male is unknowing of, then it is possible that the attack will be able to bypass more of his hardening matrix, maybe even opening him up further to attacks. Each hit has the chance of opening him up, though it isn't always that likely to occur. Initially, his defense against magical attacks is approximately half of that of his defense against physical attacks, however the proper application may possibly drop him to a quarter.

Internal: Some abilities do not affect the outside, but the inside. If an ability is made to invade an opponent's body through their orifices and attack them inside, then Daigoro's hardening matrix will not be able to affect it. However, once the ability enters his body, his entire system is found to be designed to process these quickly, expelling them faster. This can often remove poisons before they have a chance to truly take effect. Unfortunately, this means that Daigoro is also immune to the effects of alcohol and other drugs. He also has a defense against most diseases--including an enhanced immune system.

Distortion: Any attempts at distorting Daigoro's body will generally fail, due to the bone structure of the man. Being infallible to distortion, Daigoro's structure will not fold to abilities involving heavy gravitational pulls and the like. His bones can still be broken, however this requires a great amount of force and pressure.

Environmental Changes: The Environment that Daigoro stands in is absolute. This means that through earthquakes, gravity changes and the like, Daigoro will not be affected. This also includes abilities designed to affect large areas. In the long run, this can also be a negative--changes in the environment for the better will not affect Daigoro either, so he cannot take advantage of things such as a lowered gravity or anything of that sort.

Healing: Dai's defense is run by the 'measure of intent' system. If an ability is intended to 'heal', then Daigoro's hardening matrix will not come into effect.

VI. Racial Techniques/Abilities/Skills

» Racial Abilities:

Inhuman/Godlike Durability: Although most Shinigami at his level hold a relatively high level of physical durability and defense, Daigoro holds more. The level of physical durability that Daigoro has allows him to take physical and spiritual attacks that would leave most on the ground or unconscious and walk away nigh on unharmed, and if the attack is weak enough, not even shifted from his standing position. This is not to say that he isn't harmed, he just is less likely to be injured by any attacks. No characters below tier 1-1 are, in practice, able to harm Daigoro physically. His general resistance is slightly lowered against energy attacks, however.

Inhuman Stamina: In order to maintain his physical durability, Daigoro needs a lot of energy. Because of this, the amount of energy that his body has is staggeringly high, but not infinite. This stamina allows him to continue in battle (and bed) for a lot longer than most Shinigami before tiring. This has increased further, allowing him to continue fighting for three times as long as most would before tiring.

High Pain Threshold: Daigoro, after training his body over the years, has found himself with the mentality to be able to ignore high levels of pain. Although it still hurts and he still feels it, the actual pain itself is ignored by Daigoro, and eventually recedes to a dull throb in the back of his mind.

Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combat: As a former member of the Second Division, Daigoro discovered that a lot of his strength lay in the use of hand-to-hand combat, or Hakuda, in battle. Because of this, he has developed a high level of skill in the art, although that has waned a little since his return to, and subsequent desertion of, the Kokuryuteshi.

Anchor: In order to add to the heavily psychological style of battle that Daigoro fights with, he has gained an ability that allows him to stabilize himself in battle. By sending long tendrils of spiritual energy into the ground, he can intertwine his presence into the earth and increase his standing position. Although Daigoro's usual standing resistance to force exceeds that of almost every spiritual being in the world, this effectively increases his basic force resistance to a point of being able to stand up against almost any hit without moving. Of course, he cannot move while using this ability and if the ground beneath his feet is disturbed enough, it will knock him back anyway.

X-Change: He can change gender to become a woman. We don't know why he can do this. He doesn't know why he can do this. He doesn't understand why, even though he lost all of these other abilities, he maintains the ability to change his body into a woman's body. It has its uses, however. When he changes, his appearance is such.

VII. Sealed Powers

» Zanpakutô Name: Ehd ahk shall

» Zanpakutô Appearance: It was once apparently a tanto, though being a constant release Shikai nobody knows.

» Sealed Zanpakutô Power: Constant release, so none.

VIII. Shikai

» Shikai Release Phrase: Stand firm!

» Shikai Appearance: link Though rather impractical, Daigoro's Shikai appears as a very long and thing two-handed sword that he effortlessly uses in one hand.

» Shikai Abilities:

Survivor's Imprint: The Survivor's Imprint is the unique ability that is taken within Dai's Shikai. This allows for Daigoro's body to memorise a single attack used against him. This one attack is imprinted onto the memory, but only a single attack can be imprinted at a time. If another attack collides with his body, then the Survivoir's Imprint will overwrite the single slot with the latest ability. For the Survivor's Imprint to work, the attack MUST collide with Dai's body, and abilities that branch out from the original are unable to be imprinted.

Faker: Now, that's not all the Survivor's Imprint can do. In fact, the chief ability of the Survivor's Imprint is to be able to draw out the exact idea of the ability that it has memorized. This idea is then given shape by Daigoro's Reishi, and he can use it as an attack, at half-strength. This mimic is perfect, save for appearance. Because it is formed from Dai's energy, it is colored like his Reiatsu and formed from fire. No matter the required weapon, it will be sourced from his large two-handed sword. Once the ability is used, the slot is emptied. He can use this ability as long as the single slot has an ability stored.

VIII. Bankai Powers

» Bankai Appearance: link Not particularly different, really. The biggest difference is that Dai's Reishi is permanently swirling around him in a pure red flame, as well as a large design change on his sword.

» Bankai Abilities:

When he activates this, the fires that surround him intensify greatly. With this, Daigoro gains greatly in terms of his usual defense - being able to weaken all abilities that collide with him by approximately 50%; so if he is cut by a sword, it will only go half as deep as it usually would, and so on, so forth. Because of how it works, Dai's Bankai doesn't actually take away much of his energy in order to copy abilities - in fact, we couldn't really call it a mimic in the first place. Although he appears to be recreating the attack, there is a strange and new phenomena that occurs.

While in this stage, the mimicry can no longer be called a simple mimic. When hit with the attack, no matter how powerful, simply surviving proves a certain level of worthiness for Daigoro Ito. By proving his innate worthiness to the world itself, a minute and very limited temporal disruption occurs in Dai's existence. This disruption changes his history briefly, allowing Daigoro Ito to become the original owner of the ability. Using a complex series of energy transfers and conversions, he gains the energy needed to wield the attack a single time. Able to use such an attack with perfect knowledge of how to do so, he is able to send back an exact usage of the attack, as if it were his very own.

However, a lot also changes with his Survivor's Imprint. While he still has three slots, he can now use either one, two or three slots at once, without losing surplus abilities after use. However, the trade-off for this is that he will only be able to use the percentage of the attack that actually collided with his body. Anything else must either be discarded, or replaced with his own personal energy stocks. This ability can last for as long as Daigoro wishes to hold onto it.

HOWEVER, there lies one exception to this rule. And that is the concept of "intention". If an attack is intended on being used to attack Daigoro, then the attack will hit with the fullest strength that it can, with the damage being taken off for the natural defense. But if the attack is sent at Daigoro with the intention of being mimicked by him, then there's a different story entirely. If the ability or attack is used intentionally to give Daigoro a weapon to use, then the damage is reduced further, to 25% of its full strength. However, accidental attacks aren't counted, and still act as normal attacks. Healing abilities bypass the defense completely.

This ability uses very little Reishi of Dai's own, as the Survivor's Imprint also converts and transfers the energy from the colliding attack, sending it back out with the re-creation. This is why Daigoro can use his Bankai for such extended periods of time. He can also use branched abilities in this form (i.e; abilities that have been created by the effect of another ability). However, if enemies end up attempting to absorb large amounts of his stamina, or he only gets hit with small portions of large and powerful attacks, then it's easier for him to run out of energy faster.

Regular attacks don't tend to be copied unless they are through unique techniques. He can also recreate the strength or skill of an opponent who has hit him with general racial abilities.

This ability has several weaknesses:

Despite being based from the attack of another, the signature of the energy that powers the attack itself is completely Daigoro's, meaning that if they have a way of resisting Daigoro, they can reduce his effectiveness.

If a target knows how to dispel or protect themselves from their own attacks, it makes it more difficult for Daigoro to use this properly against them.

If you just ignore him he can't do much - he doesn't do a great deal of damage on his own.
