A Hop and A Skip (Calypso/Vegas)

Wings radiant with energy carried her as her light form floated off towards the capital of Vastime. Despite the chill air, the demon was pretty chill and felt warm all on her own as she was in a good mood, masking her energy as she drew closer. She'd heard that Vegas got blown to high heaven by the Espada, something she would keep on her mind if the Arrancar and Shadowfall ever decided to get super buddy buddy again. She didn't know how quickly she would manage to bridge her influence, but she was intent on causing change.

She heard of a girl named Vegas from Ulv, a half demon that didn't quite know how to demon, and Caly was more than happy to help her out with that! She couldn't have imagined that she'd be at the point to actually helping people out, but if the girl was a demon that in turn meant she was one of her kind, and Calypso was fully intent on helping any of her breed, no matter how tiny the splash of demonic blood within them.

She in turn heard about the Tundra, some sort of cafe she could be at as her father worked there, which got Caly intrigued; Usually she only went into the ones full of cats, played with them, and got told to leave when the employees realized that she wasn't going to buy anything.

Her feet soon touched ground in front of the cafe, a smirk on her face as she approached the door, but paused. She had a funny idea, holding onto the handle and opening the door as her form shrunk, soon looking as if a small, odd looking black rabbit just opened the damn door, hopping in casually with her ears twitching.

This would be impossible to not notice, especially for a young girl who hopefully liked cute wittle bunnies.

Vegas

Most people, on a day like today, would be out and about, or finding something fun to do with their time. Vegas, however, was not most people, and was simply lazing about the Tundra without any particular goals in mind. Grandma had said someone would be stopping by to teach her some stuff, and Vegas was pretty sure she'd actually gone into a little bit more detail than that. Unfotunately, whatever detail there might have been went forgotten, and so the young redheaded girl simply waited for some mystery lesson, wholly unconcerned as to the fact that she didn't know what it was.

"Huh? Oh! Hiya, Mr. Bunny. How'd you get in here, you just hop on in? Gotta be one smart rabbit to just open a door..."

Generally, a sentence like that would have been delivered with some degree of sarcasm or self-awareness as to how ludicrous it was. Vegas had neither of those things, however, and was completely serious as she approached the lil' thing, only to scoop it up in her arms and snuggle it nice and close. Obviously, she thought it was cute.

"Hehe, you're soft. C'mon, we can wait together. Ya like carrots? Rabbits like carrots, right?"

Calypso just pretended to do bunny stuff, mainly exist around the front door, til her white eyes caught a rather cute red headed girl approach. Okay, this girl definitely had to be her, so maybe she should... She stopped herself as she was suddenly picked up, doing gentle rabbit kicks as she felt the ground leave her. She only sensed gentle emotions from the girl, versus other sensations of excitement she's caught from others towards small cute creatures. So she'd be a Mr Bunny, huh? Honestly not a bad guess.

She felt her small face warm a bit as she would be hugged rather close, only giving off a mental chuckle. Well well, that was an interesting character trait. Her little tail would wag a bit as she asked her a question, and as bad as Calypso felt to break the illusion, she needed to get some degree of straight before it got really weird.

"Sorry to answer your rhetorical question but, no carrots for me. Actually isn't very good for rabbit tummies."

Though her mouth didn't seem to move, she did indeed speak to Vegas, her white eyes lying on her as she rested against her, "But yeah, no need to wait, i'm actually the one you're waiting for~!"

Vegas

Rabbits did not talk. That was one of those fundamental truths in life that you never really swore by or anything, but you definitely knew it to be completely true. Vegas wasn't a girl who handled being startled very well, so upon being startled by said talking rabbit, Vegas really only responded the way one naturally would.

She beamed the rabbit across the room in shock.

"Don't do that!! That was scary, don't scare me like that!!!"

Only after she had already thrown the rabbit with a not-insubstantial amount of force did Vegas think that, maybe, possibly, just throwing it across the room might have been a very bad idea. Maybe. Might've been a good idea though, she really wasn't sure about that. She'd have to wait and see, and while she did go to check on said rabbit, she was rather visibly still on guard.

Being chucked across the room like a ball for children wasn't exactly the response she expected, especially not from someone with demonic blood. Literally all sorts of weird shit is borne of Demon World, did she not experience that? Ah well, that just told her this one had a lot to learn. When Vegas went to check on 'Mr Rabbit', there was in fact no longer a rabbit there, but rather a young woman, smiling at her with a look of mischief to her.

"Oh you sweet child, if a talking rabbit is what kicks your fear in the nuts, then you're in for a huge ass awakening someday."

She casually stood up, and gently dust herself off, "Also, before you ask, i'm fine. I've had far worse falls."

Calypso smiled, holding out a hand to shake, "I'm Calypso Asthavon, I'm the one who was comin' to meet you and teach you a few things about being a demon~"

Once shaken, she'd pull a seat closer, taking it and placing her hands on her thighs, giving the girl an intent look, "So, just to start off, any questions or concerns?"

Vegas

"Wah! When'd you change!?"

Vegas took a step back and put up some vaguely definable defensive stance, though obviously not one she had learned from any actual combative school. It was just vaguely "hands up," which was good enough if you were just trying to scare off a cat or something. But this wasn't a cat. Probably. She wasn't a rabbit either, who knew if she was even a person?

"I, uh... Um, name's Vegas. Vegas, uh...um...hold on, hold on..."

Her defensive stance gradually lowered, but that mostly seemed to be on account of her just needing to focus very very hard on the last name she had only recently been given. It was so loooooooong!!

"Vegas...Vvv, um... Vooo... Vogenar..? Vo... Vaugrenard! That's it! Vegas Vaugrenard! Um, well, dad named me Alex, but that's his name too. I kinda like that. So Alex works too if ya wanna call me that."

She still had a faintly nervous look to her eyes, but the confusion about her own last name had made her somewhat less apprehensive. She wasn't sure about the hands on the thighs thing, didn't that mean someone wanted you to sit on their lap? So she did just that, and sat right on Calypso's lap.

"Questions, um... No? Maybe? I dunno. Don't think so?"

Calypso gave the girl the most utmost patience as she tried to say her own last name. She had a kind smile on her face as Vegas explained her whole name situation, feeling some wick of nostalgia as she sensed the girl's rather erratic emotions. She nodded in response to Vegas, "I'll call you whatever you prefer, or i'll just alternate between the two."

She shrugged as she sat, not really seeming to care that the redhead didn't pick up on the social cue of a handshake. She was here to be supportive, not bark up the girl's tree over ever little thing she did or didn't do. Speaking of did dos, Calypso couldn't help but faintly laugh when the girl sat on her lap, only patting the girl on the head. The entire move was innocent at heart, the Asthavon would've been able to tell even if she couldn't sense and feel her active emotional spectrum.

"Are you sure? Well, alright then, I have a few questions for you, if that's ok?"

She shuffled a bit on the seat to adjust for the added weight to her lap, letting her sit on her, as she tapped her chin,

"Well firstly, do you have any complicated emotions towards anything? Maybe feelings you can't quite put into words? Not a good idea to repress stuff, demons are highly emotional, even more than any other being, so those kinds of emotions being bottled can potentially be..."

She looked to the side, and sighed gently, "Destructive, be it to yourself or others. Our magics are also tied to our emotions, so even triply so on that destruction bit. Could hurt yourself, or hurt everyone around you."

Vegas

"Uuuhhhhhhh mmmmmmmm... Hm..."

Vegas bobbed her head from side to side as she thought, staring rather intensely at nothing in particular as she thought about the questions Calypso had positited toward her. What were complicated emotions? Was there something else she was supposed to be feeling..?

"Well, um... No..? I don't think so anyway... I dunno, I guess I don't think about feelings if I can't figure out what they are."

The idea of all this destructive magic sitting inside of her actually frightened Vegas just a touch, and her voice lowered a bit, as if she were trying not to anger this spooky force. "So... Gotta control my emotions?"

This was going to be a bit of a tricky one, huh? She could already sense her puzzlement and confusion towards her question. Did nobody bother to sit down and teach this girl about anything until she met her father? Calypso honestly felt a little sad for her, but feeling sad alone didn't turn out any results. She sighed, shaking her head gently as the hybrid gave her answer.

"..I see. Yeah, um, feelings can be pretty hard to understand when you're young and without guidance. That's fine, it's okay."

She sensed the girl's fear within, though she gave her a pat on the shoulder, "Not just control, understanding is half the battle in being able to master yourself. If you just double down on control well, you're just going to pen up and then you'll have an entirely different problem of suppressing yourself. I should know, I thought to hold myself back made sense. But.. Sometimes you just need to be able to let your emotions go wild and loud, but be able to manage those feral feelings to your benefit. Could be the decider between life and death."

Calypso smiled, clapping her hands together, "So! Do you think you could show me what you can do? Can you do anything with your energy? I'm honestly pretty interested in how it manifests."

She thought for a moment, laughing gently, "Oh wait wait, let me show you an example just in case. So, i'm a Danava, which means I'm a demon who was birthed from an existing concept. My concepts are Dreams and Nightmares, and thus I mostly deal with mind stuff or mind-affecting stuff."

She showed Vegas her hand, and within moments it would shift into a void-like claw, then suddenly appear soft, then hard and rigid, then right back to a normal hand with skin, the Asthavon clearly needing to exert little effort to do such transformations, "That's just one little thing I can do. See, my body's a gigantic mass of energy moderated by my mind and soul. You're really only seeing a little small part of me that I can bring out into the real world. Rest of me is.. Um... Not sure if you'd understand if I explained it, i'll tell you more when you understand yourself a little better. Now show show me what you can do!"

Vegas

Listening to her carefully, Vegas tilted her head slightly to the side at the idea of using her energy. She didn't really get it. What kind of energy? Like being hyper?

"Okay, welll, uh... I can't really do anything like that. I got a pretty good pendant though!"

Standing from Calypso's lap, she took hold of the Sparkle Pop Pendant around her neck, spinning once and taking on her signature pose, ignoring that her hair was probably way too long to be spinning like that in an inside environment.

"Spice up, Sparkle Cayenne!"

With much flash and fanfare, and a few very cute popping sounds, Vegas' full magical girl attire, along with her rather tremendously large sword and her Glitterblades, manifested accordingly. Setting the sword over her shoulders impressively casually given its size, she looked expectantly to Calypso.

"Like that?"
