Vastime! City of Kings! Or, at least, King. Monarchy was pretty rare these days, so having a King was not something that was common, and thus something that made the headlines of people when they came in. And Ulv knew that it was good. She didn't know why it was good, or what made it good, or even who it was that was good. She was feeling these feelings even more than before after that stint with Arianda. Like she knew people, places, that she needed to go. And one of them, was the Kign's House.
Ulv looked up at the big building. It made her scared. Or rather, anxious. She remembered without remembering that the last time she had been in there there was a man who filled the room with his presence and spurred something inside her that she never got a chance to experiment with before....what? Before she became Ulv? Either way, she needed to get back in there and feel the power of the man inside before she could start work on it again. Something told her that everything was ready, she just needed one more whiff, and everything would fall into place.
A bit shy of the front door, in her scruffy overalls and no shoes, Ulv looked about the building, and found an open window on the third floor. Nothing like a challenge, huh? Her toes curled, she took a deep breath, and then let it out. Grasp The Earth, Grasp The World. There was everything beneath her, and it would lend aid, if asked. The Wind blew over the earth, and if she could master what was beneath her, then she would be given all that was above her. Curling, tight and powerful, yet loose and supple, she stopped thinking and just kicked off. She couldn't be said to have mastered something just from intuative use, but it was a start. And kind of a scrabble as she simply appeared on the window-ledge. Ulv wasn't expecting that kind of speed, it surpassed even her grasp of the flashing step that she knew how to use without knowing.
Finding her way to the King's room without a problem, she knocked softly. Loud enough to be heard, but light enough to not repeat last time - as though there was a time before the first time.

Advent Of Fury
Ulv was a little surprised when the door opened before she even knocked. That was how prompt Hayden was, he did things almost before they were needed. It was no wonder that Mirja felt the way she did about him, mooning over the man like he wasn't even a guy. She certainly had pictures of a Desmond-y character of the female persuasion in her mind, conjured up from the depths of hell by the madness that was Mirja. 'Desmond, solid as ever. I swear he's just a mountain that grew apendages' Hvit's commentary was always amusing, and so she mirrored the man's smile before talking.
"Hello. I'm Ulv. It may seem a strange and sudden appearance to you, but there is a reason for it. I heard that one of your people, Mirja Eeola recently passed away. She came to my house once, and talked at great length about Vastime and her magnificent King Zap. So I had to come see you as soon as I had the chance. Though we don't know each other, I just get the feeling that her delight is not misplaced at all" Ulv's voice was a voice of strength but also of comfort. It was like being verbally wrapped in a hug, and brought tightly into those muscular arms.
"Skipping the formalities, I want to know if there is a spot for me in Vastime. I've been wandering so long without a tether, I feel worn and wind-swept. And to stand in the presence of a man like you, it inspires a woman to want to do all she can to assist him. I will not hide the troubles that I bring to the door with my presence, but I would like to be here none the less"
That was a lot to take in, normally. But things in Vastime and for Hayden was far from normal- thus clinging to such simple notions was dead to him. It was why as she spoke Hayden could only offer a nod throughout it showcasing she had his attention. In truth it was a long winded explanation followed by a simple question, one which could always be answered simply for most people.
This woman was lucky to be counted among those he could say this to.
Yet she talked of Mirja, a woman's who passing was as strange as it was sad. But answered would be found in time, and with the arrival of this woman that would be sped up. So with all that being acknowledged it only made sense for him to offer a final nod of his head, hazel irises focusing intently on her for a moment.
"I suppose there is a place for you within this nation, as for what that place is I don't know. You'll just have to strike into the unknown and forge that destiny for yourself." It was in true Vastime fashion he said that, to grasp life by it's cords and venture into the unknown. Vigor and life; untold stories and myths waiting to be found.
Hayden may be the gatekeeper and the protector of Vastime, he may be the holder of the flame- but the flame which burned was kept alive in the hearts of people like her. Those immigrants, those fresh faces- those old souls told stories which maybe if Vastime was lucky she could see within her halls.
"It is people like you, Ulv, which makes Vastime heart beat. Go. You have my blessing. The world is waiting for you."
Ulv looked at the man, and smiled. He was so warm, and comforting, Ulv really enjoyed the idea of having him around. And being around him. No wonder Mirja would have had the hots for him if she was mentally capable of looking at guys and not feeling repulsion and traumatic stress. But now she was asleep, and there was an Ulv. "We certainly understand forging our own destiny. I woke up in a tube, a few weeks ago, and the first thing I did was to break out of the facility with my Quincy girlfriend helping me. Who then got poisoned by my Hollow, helping me recover. Life, has been confusing for a while. But I think I am getting my feet back"
Make Vastime's Heart beat. There was certainly something she could do. Something Mirja avoided because she was worried what would happen. But Ulv, was what would happen, she had the ability to succeed were Mirja would have failed. "I can't keep anything from you. But at the same time I don't really know how to explain it. Mirja, uhh...Was Me, shall we say. I don't know how it happened, I just woke up in a tube one day with a feeling like I had been alive a lot longer than I biologically have been. Rakki hurt herself helping me recover, and then a few others lend their aid to get me where I should be. Something went wrong, there is still a lot of holes in my memories and abilities. But I do remember you, and everything I....she...wanted to do with you. Talk with you, become something, someone you could respect. While also being so aware that she'd never be able to do that. She wanted to harness your unparalleled drive and just see what happened when she taught you her greatest achievement. But she was just a damaged wolf who once needed to embrace the darkness of her soul and never really recovered from that necessity. And then she went and died foolishly and would never be able to say the things she wanted, or do the things she wanted"
Ulv's arms lit up with an amber glow half way through her speech. Something that most people would not recognise, but Hayden had been around the Gotei Commander long enough to know the Resolve Force when he saw it, even in a different application, and indeed a different person entirely.
A quote stolen from a time of conflict and advancement, only fitting to reuse it here for the woman before him. This woman held a great ton of ambition something which he understood, nay, something he himself held. It wasn't so simple to as just be able to describe that ambition but she did have quite the mouth, she had a lot to say and so little time to do it. He understood that. But there was a lesson that could be learned here. His hand would extend resting on the shoulder of the woman, his head dipping slightly so that his hazel orbs caught her eyes.
"I have a simple goal, one which takes extraordinary steps to get to. One of those steps is to inspire people like yourself; maybe in the process see some of you exceed me." He'd explain gesturing with his free hand, offering a slight nod of the head. It was important, those little actions, to let someone know they held your attention.
To show this person mattered to the King.
"But be careful yes? There is a time to go head strong into action- to meet the world blow for blow. But condense your words, speak softly. Speak meaningfully. Speak less. Be more profound." He'd explain elobrating further on his first statement. It was a contrast to the busy building they where within- constantly moving and the noise of both machines and people. But despite all that, this man was telling her to speak less.
There was an art to being able to say less, but speak more. Perhaps Ulv would be able to find some use of that.
Well, that was surprising. She was entirely confused, like they were having to seperate conversations. Ulv unloaded everything that Mirja had wanted to say, to tell him that she used to be Mirja, and anything that the wanted for her could be done through Ulv. But there wasn't even a raised eyebrow at that confession, just told to shut up, basically. Talk less. She came to the realisation that it was hubris in the extreme to walk into the King's office and expect to have a nice conversation with him about things. He had a country to run, and Mirja was never really start pupil to begin with. Ushering her out was the polite way of doing it, one he didn't need to do.
"I..." Ulv stammered, feeling her eyes sting with a well of tears. She'd never felt this bad, this dejected. She needed to get elsewhere before anything really embarrassing happened. "F-few things. For others though" She had a fractured sentence structure, a crackled voice, and a look like she's just been punched with The Moon. Ulv stood up, her body thankfully not shaking from the whole ordeal, and moved to leave the office.
Still far too much of Mirja in her thoughts, to colour how she interacted with people. Mirja never really realized that Hayden had a lot more to do than just be friends. She was, in many ways, a very childish woman, one who couldn't see the expanse of the world. She just saw people and wanted to have fun with them, never thinking of what those people had to do. Ulv wanted to say something, wanted to say a great deal of somethings, she was a very talkative person, but that would fly in the face of the whole speak less thing, and so she didn't.
