Jenny Margera

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

”I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain!.”

Dancing about, the girl took a step forth and a step back, and two step forward, and a dash onward to her right. She was her usual joyful self, enamored with life and the amusement every second brought. She seemed to dance in what one could perceive as a rather long and spacious dance floor. And it would be a clever assumption since she was dancing, and the fact that she moved so freely and without care of restrain meant that space was not an issue. Or was it?

"Ouch! Watch it you dumb dumb!"

Jenny had tripped over something. But what exactly? It was difficult for anyone to know. The place was in utmost darkness, devoid of any light but the dim rays of light that flickered on an off occasionally from the neon signs of the street and it's nightlife happenings. In any case, getting up, she didn't quite dust herself off but rather seemed to scrape herself...clean? Odd. Without second thought of bothering to check what she had hit she continued dancing almost as if she knew what surrounded her.

"Tadada, tadadada."

As she continued to dance and twirl, the impending rain outside seemed to arrive in anticipation of the lightning and the thunder. And during one of those sparks of thundering light, the darkness would make itself scarce showcasing what appeared to be a drenched floor. Drenched in water surely. What else could it be. Soon, Jenny would finish her dancing and jumped over nothing, though she might have known something was there, and sitting over some form of object she pulled something from behind her and started hitting the floor repeatedly. And then just like that, the lights came on. At the doorsteps, a pair of police officers looked on in horror at the scene portrayed before them.

"I'm singing... And dancing... In, the rain."

There was an odd smile of plain satisfaction, almost as if she had done something great, and noble, and good. Her smile extended much bigger than perhaps it was possible within the confines of logic and sanity. All around her, and all over the floor of the spacious warehouse, there were bodies littered, most wearing suits of expensive makes and with an armory of firearms of dubious origins by their corpses. By her feet, the remains of head laid plastered on the floor and into pieces, almost as if someone had smashed it repeatedly with some form of heavy and blunt object. And what do you know, on her hands, a powerful and clown like hammer dripped of blood.

You! Stop there, you're under arrest!

"Me? Why me? Arrest them. They won't put up a fight. I promise!"

With the biggest grin, she seemed very proud of what she had done, and she deserved some recognition, not jail time. Jenny didn't care to label herself as neither a hero nor a villain. She was somewhere in between. She was something else. She had simply happened into the base of operations of a large scale crime syndicate after some snooping and decided to have some fun. Clearly the law didn't appreciate the k killing. And with a loud and hard hit from her mallet to a nearby window, she ran and jumped out the window, away from the cops and into the city and the fun and adventures the night still had in store for her.

Alexander could already tell that he had made the right decision. He had some doubts at first, about escaping his shell of ignorance and self-comfort and throwing himself out into the big wide world. It had been some time since he had abandoned his "family," and he hadn't seen anything of interest yet. Well, that was until he had started hearing continuous gunfire and other miscellaneous banging and screaming. The people around him, having listened to the same thing, started to look a bit uneasy. Many of them began moving away from the offending noises. They were most likely afraid of whatever situation was happening escalating and involving them.

Alexander, on the other hand, was intrigued. He debated for a bit about whether or not he should ignore it and be on his way. He had heard and been a part of several gunfights before, and none of them ever turned out to be interesting. Getting shot at was pretty hard to enjoy. But this one? It was pretty loud. He eventually decided it was worth checking out. That much fighting most likely meant at least something was up. And if it went south? He felt confident that he'd be able to make it out alive. He didn't carry a gun on him anymore, but he figured his powers were much more potent than any firearm he could get his hands on. Guns were a thing of the past in this new world of superpowers.

Regrettably, the gunfire died down before he got there. While that meant he was significantly less likely to get shot at upon arrival, it did also mean that he missed out on the action. Still, in case something of interest would happen, he waited outside the building where he thought the noise had been coming from. He stared at the dark windows of the building from around a corner. He wasn't stupid enough to wait out in the open, and he, of course, had taken several alleys and backstreets to get there. He didn't want random people getting suspicious of someone moving towards threatening gunfire. So, after pulling on his hood to better cover his face, he waited.

There was a period of nothing happening. However, Alexander could swear he heard something coming from the building before him. Did it sound like... singing? He could swear it did. Something he could immediately identify was the sound of sirens. The police were here, and he was about to leave when they entered the building. Being caught right next to a police shootout was probably not a good idea. But, just as he was going, something amazing happened. Crash! and a window was smashed. A figure then jumped out holding a damn mallet of all things!

Alexander was immediately excited. Everything seemed to slow down. His eyes locked on to the figure launching out of the window. The only thing running through his mind was 'This is iiiiit!' To come unscathed out of a situation which made that much noise had to mean this person was far from ordinary. He could even feel it, the pull of his energy locking on to theirs. He could feel their power, and it was much higher than his. After they had escaped, he wasted no time in ducking away and following them. He, of course, didn't do it directly, instead opting to take more alleys and backstreets similar to the ones he had used to get there. There were a lot of ways to get somewhere in a clustered city, after all.

Even after breaking sight, he could still feel them. He could feel a deep throbbing, partly because of his pull towards them and partly because of his excitement. He could finally see a glimpse into the world he so greatly wished to be a part of. He didn't even stop to think that catching up to someone currently fleeing and who he had no chance of even scratching was a good idea. All he cared about was meeting them. After a bit, he could finally feel himself getting close to them. They appeared to be slowing down, and he wasn't sure why. Perhaps they thought they got away? Maybe they sensed him? He wasn't sure, and he didn't particularly care. Excitement was the only thing he felt as he sped around the last corner to meet them, a full grin plastered on his face. He stopped in his tracks as they came into view.

My oh my! Someone is following. Gee gollies, she thought to herself. Despite the thoughts being only in her head, Jenny still maintained that playful charade that tried to attribute comedic relief and humorous traits to just about everything she did, specially the gritty things. For a while now she had been running, sure she had lost the police, leaving them far behind in search of a trail that they were never likely to find. But, alas, in her own impetus exit, she had drawn out a different and much more interesting variable into the fray. Some individual of notable spiritual presence had been trailing her for quite a while. Though she hadn’t seen him, she sensed him. And instead of feeling pressured, nervous or forced into a corner, the precedent and the realization only made her smile even wider, as she had while breaking apart the skull of that thug.

Without warning, Jenny would have rushed into what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse. It looked abandoned enough to her, though it could have as easily been the fact that most normal people were asleep at those times. With no key, the girl had simply jumped through a window, smashing glass and wooden pieces in her way in. She wasn’t trying to hide from her newest to-be-acquaintance however. In fact, she had slowed down just enough to make sure he had seen her going in. But, unfortunately, that was the last time he’d see of her for a bit after going in.

Inside, the warehouse could have easily measured over a 100 meters in length. There were no lights on and nowhere to try and turn on a light. Instead, the only illumination consisted of the rays of moonlight that filtered in through the glass windows and the cracks on the covers. It was certainly enough light to avoid running into something, but there was not enough lighting to be able to see and distinguished the surroundings clearly.

”Mr. Sandman ♪, is that you?”

The first words were spoken in a form of singing fashion, not unlike the very iconic song. The latter part of her words were instead spoken regularly as one would in normal conversation. The only unsettling thing was that Jenny was nowhere to be seen. Her energy certainly filled and drowned the place, though erratically enough to make it difficult to pinpoint an specific location. To the left? To the right? Up ahead? Behind him? No. Instead, the girl had her arms and legs wrapped around the metal railings on the ceiling as she eyed the what she thought was a guy. It was hard to tell under such a low lighting conditions. Jenny had no intention to harm him. Not now anyways. She only wanted to see just who he was and what he wanted, and if she could, scare him. After all, everyone needed a bit of fun.

"Hmmm"

After seeing his "target" make their escape into an apparently abandoned warehouse, Alexander paused. He thought for a moment. His target had fled into a dark and spooky looking warehouse where there would likely be little visibility. That sounded like a very optimal location for killing him. But then again, if they didn't want him to follow them, couldn't they have easily escaped? At least, he assumed they were strong enough to outrun him with ease if they tried. Judging from their "tussle" with... whoever it was who had that many guns, they didn't seem like they cared about stealth. They could have taken a short pause to dispatch him and then continued running. So, they seemed like they didn't want to kill him, probably... hopefully.

As he then approached the warehouse, he briefly entertained the thought that this may just be their hideout. Maybe they hadn't noticed him following them? He quickly decided that this most likely wasn't the case. He had a bit of power of his own, but... maybe they were so far beyond his power they just didn't pick up on him? Was he as insignificant to them as any schmuck on the street? He decided, or at least, he hoped that this wasn't the case. That would, after all, be quite dream-shattering. He had seen them crash through a window into the building, and he wondered if they just had a thing about windows. If they could jump and break through a window, couldn't they have busted the door? Maybe they didn't want to? Alexander shrugged to himself.

Standing before the door, Alexander would look at the door, and then at the broken window. After a moment of thinking, he decided that he wasn't a window person. His target most likely didn't care about the door anyway. This place probably wasn't their hideout, as it looked like crap. Alexander would raise his right arm, palm open and fingers slightly curled. Varying shades of red energy would bubble up from within him, flowing across his body and collecting on the palm of his hand. With one mental command, 'Malefic Stream!', an erratic streak of red would shoot from his palm, tearing the door into splinters. It would be surprisingly quiet for how violent it was. There would be no Bang! of impact or sound of cracking wood. There would only be a small flash of red, and then most of the door was gone, the rest clattering to the floor with relative softness.

Alexander didn't have to shout a command in his head every time he wanted to use a... "spell" he supposed he should call it. He just found it somewhat easier to control his spells when he did so. He assumed it had something to do with putting his will into it or the comfort the sense of control it gave him brought. Either way, it just felt better, so he did it. It also made sure that he didn't hit anything else. He just wanted the door gone; he didn't want to rip a hole in the building. And with that out of the way, Alexander would walk into the building. And the first thing he saw was... nothing. It was pretty dark. But then, suddenly, he heard singing again. This time, he was close enough to know that the voice was female. Well, the first part was singing, the next was a question.

"Uhh, no?"

'Oh great, that probably sounded intelligent.' Alexander thought... sarcastically. Whelp, he was here now. He couldn't see his target, but they most probably could see him just fine. Now that he was over the rush of chasing them, he started feeling... awkward? He didn't know how to address someone who could probably annihilate him at less than a moment's notice. After a short, somewhat awkward silence, he guessed he should... say something else? He thought to himself on what that something should be. Oh, he thought of something.

"I mean you no... harm?

Alexander would somewhat trail off at the end of that sentence as he realized how stupid it potentially sounded. Ha! He wouldn't be able to harm them if he wanted to. 'Well, way to introduce yourself. Let's hope they're nice... and don't murder you.' Alexander would look around as best he could. He checked the ground, the walls, the ceiling. He couldn't see much of anything, and he doubted he would unless they wanted him to. Their energy was everywhere, so he couldn't use that to pinpoint them. So, he elected to wait for more... somewhat awkward silence, choosing not to speak and potentially make himself sound more stupid than he was.

”You mean me no harm? Lying is no good dummy.”

The voice would originate right behind the boy, almost as if someone had whispered it to the back of his ear. With the quietest of motions, the woman had allowed her body to drop silently behind them before speaking. She did meant what she said however. He didn’t mean harm to her yet he had blown out the door from its hinges. It stood to reason that she’d have trouble believing him. Would she disappear or simply strike him down before he could? For the time being, she would do neither.

”Why are you following me anyways? Are you with those goons?”

She meant the criminals she had dispatched earlier. He didn’t look like the police kind so she didn’t associate him with them. She was curious however as to why he had decided to chase her into the night. What did he hope to learn from it. Certainly he had seen something of what she had done, and a variable in the whole situation had pulled or nudged him to act as he did. With a flick of her wrist, Jenny would flip a switch, just to her side, making sure to light up the place. It seemed as though she was acquainted with most of the creepy and abandoned warehouses in the city, as if she frequented most of them. And so, with her large grin, the girl just eyed him up and down, seizing his qualities and awaiting a response from which to gauge him.

”You best think fast. Time keeps ticking and ticking.”

Alexander would take a deep breath. There was no reason for him to act like this. Sure, this was new to him, but that didn't mean it was that different. Ne needed to calm down, as there was no need to get so carried away in his excitement. Sure, the person behind him could potentially kill him at a moment's notice. However, he wasn't a stranger to situations like these. The situation wasn't necessarily dangerous; he just had to show them that he wasn't an enemy. He needed to act natural. He rolled his shoulders and gave a long exhale. 'Try to be cool, just try to be cool.' Alexander would raise his hands to gesture that he didn't attend to fight. He would then slowly turn around to face the woman addressing him, lowering his hands as he did.

A descending whistle would escape from Alexander's mouth. He would stand there completely still for a moment as he too seized the other's... qualities. He liked what he saw. He didn't even care that the woman before him was holding a giant mallet. It just added to her outlandish charm. She looked unusual, but he liked unusual a lot. He considered himself lucky. Here stood the first interesting supernatural phenomenon that he saw with his own two eyes, and she was damn hot too. He didn't mind that she could snuff out his life in an instant, he liked strong women anyways. People who couldn't do anything on their own annoyed him. Figuring he should make a polite introduction, he would slowly move to take off his hood.

"Sorry for... intruding. I'm not with any goons. I'm just someone trying to... escape a mundane life."

Now that the lights were on, Alexander would take a look around him. After a thorough inspection, his suspicions were confirmed. It was just another dull, dusty warehouse. He wondered why she had chosen to hide out here. Did she have no other base of operations? Then he remembered that she probably ducked into here because he was following her. She may also be like him, moving from place to place, just looking for a bit of excitement. She seemed like the type to do such a thing. The more he thought about it, the more he liked her. She was more than worth having as a friend, if such was possible. To do that, he had to make a good impression. After some thinking, he chose his next response.

"I was just walking around when I heard some commotion. You seemed interesting, so I followed you. You do this kind of thing often? Seems... like it could be fun. The name's Alexander, Alexander William. May I have yours?"

”Is that so? My my, the irony!”

Tapping her left foot forward twice, she walked towards him, mallet dragging behind her with a rather suspicious rhythim. There was no tune, and no music, yet it seemed that she walked to the beat of some song, likely playing in her head. I wandered on for many years, a victim of my fate, until one day I came upon St. Peter at the gate. And when I tried to take it inside, he told me where to go; get outta here with that (*boom-boom-boom*) and take it down below. Oh, get outta here with that (*boom-boom-boom*) and take it down below. Those were the words playing around in her head as she let the handle of her mallet drop towards him.

”Think fast.”

Whether he caught the handle or not did not matter. If he had, the man would’ve noticed the heft of the item. It was certainly much heavier than even its imposing size made it out to be. Had he chosen to avoid it, or simply missed it, a loud thumping noise would’ve echoed throughout the room as it hit the floor. Walking past him and behind, the girl took a very good look at him; several looks. She leaned close, the heft of her bosom pressing on her top inadvertently showcasing the size of the latter. She even went close enough to let the tip of her nose touch to the back of his neck.

“No, you look pretty normal mister! What sort of mundane thing you tryn’a avoid. I ain’t the holiest of angels like you can see.”

The odd beat to her words aside, Jenny spoke with a semi high pitched tone of voice that was equally cute as it was terrifying. And while she had certainly invaded her personal space, there was no ill intent or motive behind it. She was getting a good look at him. She was getting a good whiff of his scent. But he didn’t seem too out of the ordinary other than his obviously noticeable spiritual presence. What could he possibly want with her. Money? A fight? Sex? Weapons? She didn’t know. Walking around to face him once more, she would lean in again, this time close enough to place her face no more than an inch or so from his as she projected a beaming smile before responding.

“Hiya Alex! I go by many names, but you can call me Jenny!”

Watching her as she approached, Alexander didn't have much trouble catching her mallet. It was hefty, but he was strong. After eyeing it a bit, he lifted it, moving it back and forth to see how it felt. It was an unusual weapon, especially for someone of her build. That said, he liked its heft. It made the weapon feel powerful. Just from holding the weapon he could tell that it had a very satisfying impact. That said, weapons, in general, weren't really his thing. He tended to rely more on his powers. He views that using only himself was simply more reliable. One can gauge how much they can do much better than what a weapon can do. This made him more consistent and focused, not relying on outside factors to help him fight. In his mind, it made him stronger.

Alexander would watch her closely as she circled him. As she examined him, he examined her just as much. However, his gaze, while it did contain desire, wasn't filled entirely with it. The way she moved, the way she spoke, the way she appeared to follow a rhythm that he could not hear. She seemed... free, and he found this attractive. She didn't seem the type to care what others thought about her. She followed her own rhythm, deaf to the judgment of the world around her. He too wanted to be free. He wanted to make his own path, follow his own rules, and do whatever he wanted without fear of being struck down. This is why he wanted, no, needed to become stronger. He needed power if he wanted to mean anything in this world.

"Hey, not to brag, but I'm far from normal."

As Alexander said this, he would strike a pose, lifting his left arm to his side while still resting her hammer on his right shoulder. He would channel his Malefic Energy through his body, creating small sparks of red to course over him. This energy would flow to his left hand, collecting above his palm in the middle of his curled fingers. An unstable red sphere would spawn, it too moving to its own rhythm. It would occasionally twitch and warp, never quite becoming a perfect sphere. It would give off a faint, sickly red glow, which too would flicker and change whenever the orb in his palm moved. His energy felt neither good nor evil, but what it did feel was dangerous. It represented nothing but pure destruction. It held no benevolence or malice, only power.

With how close her face was, she'd probably couldn't even see this orb of destructive energy unless she turned her head. However, even without seeing it, he knew she could feel it. With how unstable his energy was, it tended to broadcast very well. Because of this, he did his best to keep its energy confined to their immediate surroundings. However, he knew he couldn't keep this up for long. Soon after he had formed his orb of energy, he started recalling it, causing it to crackle and fizz out. However, his point was made. Even if he wasn't that strong yet, he was still proud that his energy was rather unique, or so at least he thought. Focusing on the face an inch from his own, a large grin would form on his face as he spoke.

"I want to escape from boredom. I want to feel free, to do what I want, to have fun! You understand how boring a life without power can be? You constantly live either hiding, afraid, or both, the potential of death around every corner. I want to surpass that, to gain power, to be able to do as I please. I want to stop being afraid to let loose and enjoy myself however I want."

After a moment of thought, he'd add "Jenny... I like it, it fits you."
