Personality

Confident: Vent proves himself to be quite the arrogant guy. Even when in the face of defeat, he won’t admit to his loss, and will keep his head held high and pride on his sleeve. Any chance he gets, boasts will come out from his mouth, and amongst everything else, one of the few verbal things he will admit in terms of any deficiencies in him is “the fact that, sometimes, he’s too awesome”. Any time a situation arises in which his expertise is founded to be rather fondly needed, one could imagine how he’d go about it. Consequently, this often gears others away from him away from the battlefield, as while his confidence often exceeds his strength, Vent has, to some degree, a few tricks in his sleeve to back up his words. Otherwise, most will steer clear of him.

Easily Angered: In light of the high amounts of bullshit he spouts, along with some of his other reasons, it becomes quite clear as to why others avoid him. With that being one of the factors, Vent shows just as clearly that he has more than a few missing nuts and bolts, anger-management being something he is without. Even the smallest things, like some beverage being spilled on his shirt will set him off--and when it’s said that he’s set off, he REALLY is set off. While he might not go so far as to go on a legitimate massacre, he isn’t above taking it out on uninvolved persons and smashing them to bits.

Straight-Forward: Being roundabout is NOT something that accurately describes the Raging Moon. In many ways, Vent presents himself as a straight-forward kind of guy. In the event of having a goal in mind, it would be made clear and widely known just what exactly that goal is, and to what lengths he would go just to achieve it. In another example, if he feels a certain way about someone, they’ll be the first to know. The only exception to that might probably be in the occasion of a romantic interest, where it’s just as likely that a tsundere effect might take place, but given that he has yet to fall in love or anything, that hasn’t been made certain just yet.

Battlehead: Fighting is practically a casual hobby for him. While others will seek companionship, video games or novels as a pastime, Vent will go straight for the sparring rooms, or just straight up look for a fight, whether it be one against allies under the facade of “intensive training” or actually going a few countries away to pick a fight out of nowhere. Combat being something he loves is an understatement. The majority of his days are spent revolving around battle, for whatever reason that may be.

Power-Obsessed: Sort of linked with his battlehead demeanor, it’s been made apparent that Vent widely seeks out strength and knowledge. From this, he may often pick fights with those likely stronger than him, just to establish a point in his progress in comparison to those above him. In contrast, surprisingly, one could find Vent hanging out with the nerds and geeks of K-world, working on technical projects with them, and sometimes even reading books when fighting isn’t a valid practice at the moment. While the majority of his days are spent revolved around battle, this stems from the majority of his conscious thoughts being put into a manner organised to grasp further power.

___________

Easily Frightened: Despite the rather blunt characteristics aforementioned, that only makes up the facade known as Vent Regis. In reality, he’s a far more docile being, to the point of even being one who’s easily frightened. Often times, large crowds will put him on edge, the feeling of everyone staring at him being a common thought--granted, with his attitude, that’s not always untrue. In another aspect, those who cast shadows over him in terms of power and the like will often bring out fear within him; however, that is precisely why he tends to pick fights with them. Somewhere within him, Vent is subconsciously aware of many of his fears, and to reciprocate and deal with them, his more apparent personality traits are made apparent, in the aims to conquer those fears.

Self-Conscious: Due to his past, Vent has developed a self-conscious characteristic; to be honest, if one was to know his past, while it might not be as drastic as some other people, it does present some understandable trauma, and has therefore understandably bred his awareness of himself and his faults. With that in mind, Vent has began to hate himself and his many inner qualities, such as a fearful attitude and the potential power within him. As a result, his ‘fake personality’ was created in order to protect his inner psyche, and while those false traits do actually reflect a bit of who Vent is, for the most part, they serve to mask who he truly is: a young, frightened boy adjusting to the liveliness of the new world.

Loyal: While he’s quite the rampant being on the inside, Vent is actually rather loyal, and especially to the higher ups within K-World--specifically, beings of a stature similar to Kin, or at least, in his own perspective. In reality, Vent fails to withhold any loyalty to a number of people, and the very few exceptions tend to be those that he can respect. Frequently, this label goes to those who have grasped strength forcefully and grown in power, working their way up from the bottom, and have rightful confidence in their power and great control over it.

Natural Attributes & Supernatural Powers

• Natural Attributes:

Awkward Vision: Vent lacks the ability to focus his eyesight. For whatever reason, everything in vision appears completely clear, whereas normally a person's vision would grow blurry to everything except for whatever it is that has their focus. This makes him somewhat attentive to detail, but as opposed to an advantage, the boy himself sees this to be an annoyance. While he doesn't suffer from major cases of OCD or anything along those lines, his clear peripherals prove to draw his attention to all these little details, whether purposefully or not. This has inherently trained him to be able to take in all the visual information at once with relative ease.

Lack of Spiritual Pressure: An extreme oddity, but a fact nonetheless. The entirety of Vent's body produces not a single ounce of reiryoku, and holds no energy to feel whatsoever. This would usually make him unable to sense spirits, demons and all those of spiritual bodies; quite the contrary, as he seems to be especially sharp to spiritual beings. While the origins of his ability to interact with such beings are unknown, given that it is a possibility, one should take into account that his lack of spiritual pressure essentially provides a blank stance to all the energies around. Without his own spiritual pressure to affect anything, his existence is at a neutral point in correspondence with everything else, thus leaving his spiritual perception untainted. With this, Vent is able to be highly accurate with the sensing of energy, so much as to be on par with many talented arrancar's Pesquisa, despite being done through a different manner.

Surprising Muscular Aptitude: Vent provides an unprecedented manner of strength in his body through physical muscle alone. Without the aid of any spiritual energy whatsoever, his actual body is required to be up to par, and his deceivingly thin frame holds quite the weight. While the volume of his body appears rather slim despite his height, the density of his muscle goes beyond the comprehension of the normal human body, providing quite the high number in his weight. This originates from his abilities, which constantly puts his body under a crushing pressure. From this, his body has been forced into adaption, thus condensing. The process of him achieving this state of massive buff-osity has resulted in mainly three physical advantages: Strength, Speed, and Durability.

Firstly, Strength--the trait most commonly associated with muscles. From the massive amount of muscles Vent's packing, strength is not something to kid with in his case. What's just as impressive as the capacity of his strength is the process in which he achieved it. While many other people who are strength oriented have the aid of spiritual powers to heighten them, Vent was required to build his strength up to simply resist, control, and overall handle his powers. As such, with the pressures his abilities have put on him, given enough time, smashing down entire buildings through pure destructive force of his strength is not just a possibility, but an actual occurrence. His fighting with those around him as frequently resulted in problems within K-World bases, craters in the walls floor and sometimes even collapsed ceilings being nearly common. Of course, throughout the years he's grown to be more controlling, but there are still occasions in which Vent gets a little to rowdy.

The durability factor is a trait likely built up the most from his dense muscles. The tightness in which they are woven result in an extremely hard exterior, proving to be extremely effective against sharp objects. There is even a point in which sharp weaponry doesn't even pierce his body, at the most leaving a bit of blood from slight skin penetration. Overall, this leaves him well-suited to tanking on damage, as not only can he resist sharp objects simply through overwhelming physique along, but if anything was to get that close, he could instantly counter with his ample strength.

The remaining trait to be built up from a massively developed physique is speed. While it might not necessarily be the most developed in comparison to strength and durability, that doesn't mean it hasn't been stacked a great deal. The muscles grown within his body has allowed for an increase in the speed in which he can move. So long as there is a muscle, that body part is likely capable of going pretty damn fast. From, this, especially when taking into account his augmented strength, things like physical attacks tend to present themselves as overwhelmingly effective.

Manic CQC Fighting Style: Vent has no official training in combat, and with his muscular build, a close-quarters-combat style proves to be quite effective. With this, hand-to-hand combat seems to be the obvious choice. Moving on, Vent has no training in combat, and learned on his own. From that, his style of fighting seems to be based around berserk movements, purely from instinct. His movements show quite the valid room for improvement, but his pure stats put him at a level capable of combating others rather well.

Most of the time, his attacks are striking, wide movements preceding. For the most part, Vent fights in a manner that brushes aside anything hindering him, going straight for the target in powerful hits. Often times, he'll utilise his intense durability to simply shrug off any attacks, but Vent is still capable of making the instinctive decision to evade some hits--usually when those hits seem capable of doing more damage than he's capable of tanking.

Intuitive Intellect: Vent doesn't provide any high degree of intellect, or generally anything that aids in something like strategy, tactic, quick thinking or most of that which is attributed by the general high IQ; however, something unique to his mentality is the capability of understanding. Even when things aren't explained out step by step, often times he'll automatically make a guess and leap of logic to the next step with accurate assumptions. While that's not always the case, overall it tells the tale of his adept ability to simply grasp concepts, theories and generally anything presented to him, given enough information and time to process everything.

This often aids his specific ability set, and will likely help in furthering it as well. In fact, it's probably the reason he was able to adapt to his powers, instead of being crushed under the usual pressure it provides. Contributing to that is the fact that this trait of his is also responsible for his quickly grown control over his powers.

• Powers:
Tensile Telekinesis: Currently the only ability Vent possesses. IT's been hypothesized that the expansion on this ability is possible, but as it is, he's only capable of this one singular power. While telekinesis can be desribed a either the control, manipulation and creation of force, or the ability to move objects with one's mind, Vent's version is a tad unique. Yes, manipulation of force is an applicable definition, but that's not simply all there is to it. With simply saying that, it'd allow for the control of all four forces: Strong, Electromagnetic, weak and gravity. To say he can manipulate all for is wildly wrong--in fact, he can take control of none of them--yet.

To be more specific, he has a sort of in-between talent, allowing him to move objects with his mind through force, but not necessarily one or the other. A confusing concept at first, but let's go more indepth. If anything, he can generate a sort of 5th force, that can act as any of the other 4 forces, but is not a pre-existing one, nor precisely one of them. In a way, it can seem like he simply induces an increase of kinetic energy being directed towards one or multiple ways, but what this form of telekinesis REALLY is deals with pure space.

In reality, Vent is capable of moving a specified portion of space itself. It just so happens that whatever lies within that space tends to move with it as well. As such, a easy way of understanding it is that Vent can indeed generate a fifth force, mimicking the properties of the other four forces, while in reality, the force only reacts to and with space itself, as opposed to the objects within it.

While moving space itself is all find and dandy, the extent to which it can each is often highly limited without a proper skill level. Due to a psychological effect, Vent has created parametres around his very own powers, so while he can master them in his current state, such a level of mastery can go only as far as these psychological parametres permit. WIth that in mind, it's taken that Vent's telekinesis cannot achieve true potential up to that point.

Because of these set parametres, any sort of permanent moving of space is inachievable in his current state. There are several more limitations that have been born from his peculiar version of telekinesis, such as affecting the space in which organic material exists directly. Affect surrounding space to that which the material exists in is completely fine, and can be subject to having a chain effect.

• Pure Abilities:
Hierro-esque Durability: The force around his body acts almost exactly like Hierro. The space outlining his body is compacted with intense force, preventing many things from passing through and harming him. To say the least, this force, combined with his already developed natural durability, makes for an intensively protected being. While there can be sharp objects which can pierce this eternal armour, blunt objects will have a much harder time doing any damage to Vent at all. Only with force surpassing his Tensile Telekinesis can Vent be subject to any recognisable damage.

Vacuum Inducement: An ability Vent has utilised to simulate natural telekinesis, whether purposely or not. It starts off usually with a massive punch sent out. From this punch, all the space in a certain area is quickly pushed out, causing other space to move along with it. In the end, you're left with an area occupied with absolutely nothing at all--even space itself. From that, things are of course naturally drawn to fill it, objects and space alike--but, objects can hardly fill the void that space itself fills. With that, quite a large amount of things can be sucked into this vacuum before it refills to its natural form.

Augumented Strength: With a layer of force surrounding his body, it's safe to assume that Vent's already impressive strength is only surprisingly increased. With this boost of power, his attacks are devastatingly more powerful, with entire large constructs subject to ruin, including toppling skyscapers. While he would be capable of demolishing a building to rubble with his fists, using the strength augumentation from his tensile telekinesis, a single punch is often times more than enough.

Breakdown: To start off this ability, as always Vent must be in contact with the space his target occupies. From thereon, he applies force to different parts of the space, forcing a temporary fracturing. This inherently causes objects within it to breakdown as well. Most objects will be subject to this process, but certain things with adequate spiritual significance can repell the process.

Blade Simulation: This ability is a bit more technical than his others, despite the simpler process it requires. Manipulating the force manifested from his tensile telekinesis, Vent can focus it into a line of points, inherently creating what basically turns out to be a blade. With pressure maximized on this line, he can easily cut through most anything--even objects that are too tough for him to destroy or have enough power to actually hurt him, considering the force is concentrated through this method. Unfortunately, this draws the layer of force from his body towards a specific area. As such, the concentration around his entire body as a whole is reduced, making his hierro-like durability lessened. So, despite the usefulness of this technique, he presents vulnerability.

Bullet Simulation: similarly to Blade Simulation, Vent can grasp the force layer around him and manipulate it. In this case, he instead sends off a small bit of it and shoots it outward with immense speed. As this bit is pure force itself, it's far harder to block. Shooting concrete with a bullet is ineffective, as the bullet is pretty much crushed at the end of it--this pertains to the force of the bullet being great enough to pierce the concrete, but the durability of it being inadequate, thus ultimately stopping it as opposing force squishes the projectile. This method wouldn't work with Vent's Bullet Simulation, as it's pure force, and doesn't necessarily have any durability at all. However, methods like Kevlar vests are especially effective, as they spread out the pressure from the bullets. As such, with Vent's projectiles being force itself, any method that instantly spreads it out would significantly reduce the damage it could present. Although Blade Simulation can weaken the overall defense of Vent's Tensile Telekinesis, Bullet Simulation doesn't have such a drawback--initially. The bullets are fired off in small bits of that force, so the defense of his force-layer is lessened just barely, to the point where it's practically insignificant. Firing too many in short amounts of time will replicate the lowering of defense that Blade Simulation presents, unfortunately. To make matters worse, with Blade Simulation all Vent has to do is cancel out the concentration of force in that one line, restoring his Tensile Telekinesis to its normal state. With Bullet Simulation, he splits off parts of that force from the overall body, meaning that he can't regain a former level of durability once fiing those shots. Luckily, overtime his Tensile Telekinesis will automatically restore the force to full power, but it's not instant, meaning that normally, he won't regenerate that force at a fast enough rate to cover all the force he's already lost.

Background History

• Background: [A short version, if that’s okay. Overtime, I plan to go more indepth on the past that makes up Vent as more of it is revealed ICly.]

The world has undergone many changes, and the majority of society has been impacted. Included in this impact is the fact that the innate feelings of hate and prejudice of select human societies has shifted from being put onto one group of people to the next. In the case of Vent’s village, it was on supernatural peoples as a whole. In Vent’s local society, those who showed supernatural powers were widely ostracised, and anybody of that people in sight would likely be subject to verbal abuse, and in some more extreme cases, physical bullying from more than just the locals kids, but the entirety of the town as a whole.

This proved to be an incredibly disempowering factor in the make-up of Vent’s life. As an orphan who had wandered into the town, a married couple had pitied and adopted the boy. Unfortunately, as he grew with them and their love for each other as a family began to blossom, what sprouted from Vent was not purely love, but something beyond the denizens of this town’s capacity. Vent was a being of supernatural power.

His adopted parents had already grown to love him, and though they provided love and sanction to him, they couldn’t keep the fact of his abilities hidden without his control over it. As a result, he spent many days locked within the house, locked in and forced to slowly grow his mastery over these newfound powers. Misfortune soon followed as hiding the boy wasn’t enough to keep the wandering eyes and ears of the fellow villagers away. Soon enough, though it wasn’t established how, rumours spread and the demands of the townsfolk to see Vent grew.

Eventually, Vent’s parents were forced to take the risk and present their adopted son to the others. His feelings of being oppressed by his very own parents were diminishing, as he felt like they couldn’t accept him for who he was, but the child tri
ed to be understanding. Luckily, by that time Vent had gained an outstanding grasp over his growing abilities in the limited amount of time he had.

From thereon, he began to live normally once more, attending school with all the other ’normal’ children. That didn’t go as well as planned, sad to say; what started as the liveliness in Vent’s once lonely life rekindling became his ultimate regret. In a bout with a fellow classmate, Vent’s emotion boiled over the top and revealed his powers for all to see. What came of this was the return to what was once an isolated lifestyle.

Unfortunately, his powers were already a given fact, known to everyone in town. With this, just hiding wasn’t enough. Locked once again within the confines of his own home, the banging on the doors and the demands to see him were constant. The only time this changed was when the other townspeople became more drastic. The result was an eventual mob, with the majority of every adult who lived there being lined up on the front door.

With Vent incapable of answering, and his parents armed with makeshift weapons, the villagers decided to invite themselves in. Loud noises, crashes, bangs. All sorts of sounds could be heard downstairs, but all of it came to a standing halt as silent loomed throughout the halls.

Interrupting that brief silence was the sound of the door into Vent's room swinging wide open, the child crawled up into the corner scared out of his mind--and across the room, those who instilled that fear within him. The natural course of action for the villagers would have been to dispose of the 'hideous supernatural creature' before them--and that they did.

Or at least, they tried. The minute the townspeople approached him, through pure instinctive fear Vent lifted his hands, and the entirety of the house was gone. Depleted. Nothing was left except Vent.

[His entrance into K-world after this will be gone over at a later time, when he reaches an emotional breakthrough which thus allows him to gain access to his true powers. With that, he'll reminisce about his entrance into the Kokuryuteshi, and how he got to whatever position I'm allowed to put him at]
