Basics

Name: Banagher Links
True Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Banagher is a sort-of timid kid. He wasn't a straight-A student. He wasn't athletic. Banagher has always kept to himself after his mother, Anna Links, passed away. He has three people he can call friends: Audrey Burne, Takuya Irei, and Micott Bartsch. He isn't social, but he can be friendly if the situation calls for it. This simply means he's introverted. He may not be a social butterfly, but he can be the nicest guy someone knows. Banagher follows a normal routine without much deviation unless he feels that something is amiss, which is comparable to clairvoyance.

Banagher is, on the other hand, very easy to anger when it comes to opposing viewpoints. And when he's angry, Banagher is violent. However, Banagher is strongly against all war after seeing a place where millions of people live simply become a warzone in a matter of minutes. Banagher tries to play the part of the middle ground, but in a war-torn world, there isn't much room for such a thing. He only gets truly protective for Audrey, his friends, and his belief that humankind can overcome the force known as 'possibility.' When he pilots the Unicorn, he tries not to kill any opponents, but that doesn't always work.

General Appearance

Banagher Links [APPROVED. 1-3 TSURUGI] 23585838_big_p0
Banagher's eyes are a bright hazel, bringing the color to almost a dark yellow. His light brown hair is always kept in the same style, which is something from the 1980s. His skin is slightly paler than normal, but he only has been exposed to artificial sunlight. His outfit consists of a plain white undershirt without sleeves under a pale yellow hooded vest. Banagher also has his school's jacket over his vest, and he wears some engineering jeans. Something that is not standard of Anaheim's outfit is Banagher's shoes. He wears a pair of combat boots that have a rubber-covered steel heel.

When inside the Unicorn, Banager has a different outfit. Because of where the Unicorn was constructed, Banagher's pilot suit is air-tight. It has red markings across it, reminiscent of the Unicorn's Destroy Mode. On the right breast, there is the Vist family crest, the unicorn head. The helmet Banagher wears has a built-in radio system and the visor itself is bulletproof.
Animalistic Traits: None

Natural Abilities

Magic: The Sugiura's have a list of their own Magic they use as well as Shinigami Kidō, you can have up to a bit of Kidō but not every single part of it, also mix it between the magic and Kidō. They cannot be a Kidō master, but can be quite talented at it. however a sugiura could be a master at their magic spells of course. depending on the the type that is.

Other Weapons: What type of weapons does your character carry?

Tsurugi

Name: RX-0 Unicorn Gundam
Type: Shinuchi
Curse: The first half of Unicorn Gundam's curse is not one that hampers the performance or causes the Unicorn to be forced to act in a certain way. The curse is simply that Banagher must learn from past mistakes of the Sugiura, Shinigami, and Humanity overall. The other half of the curse is that Banagher must act only on his own will. If he acts on someone else's will or while hypnotized, the Unicorn Gundam will not operate.
Smith: Cardeas Vist
Standby Form Appearance: In standby form, the Unicorn Gundam appears to turn into a basketball-sized green sphere. Banagher calls the sphere 'Haro.' Haro's features include a limited range of speech, and the ability to hover (in environments with atmosphere and low gravity) by flapping its appendage coverings. Haro can usually be found rolling behind Banagher. Maybe the most amazing function of Haro is the ability to detect brain waves.
Banagher Links [APPROVED. 1-3 TSURUGI] Haro
Humanoid Form Appearance: The humanoid form of the Unicorn Gundam takes the form of its Smith--Cardeas Vist. In humanoid form, Banagher calls him 'Mr. Vist' and others refer to him as Cardeas. Cardeas is 182 cm tall, making him only slightly shorter than the armored form of the Unicorn Gundam. He has his grey hair slicked back to two points in the back, but you can see his receding hairline with this hairstyle. His face is very well-defined, even with age. His outfit is a purple military uniform with his family company's logo on the left breast.

Personality: Cardeas is normally quiet. Even when spoken to, he will normally just shoot a look of 'Did I speak to you?' towards that person. When he does speak, Cardeas is cold and to the point. He won't spend time with idle chatter, even with Banagher. He detests the military and his family, especially his oldest son. The only person he spoke to in a remotely friendly tone was his assistant and bodyguard, Gael Chan. When in armored form, he doesn't speak in the slightest. Instead, Cardeas warns Banagher using the Unicorn Gundam's standard alarm system. However, Cardeas will lend 'spiritual support' to Banagher, as he truly does believe in the possibility of his son.
History:
While most of his history is unknown, what is known is that Cardeas Vist was originally a helicopter pilot for the Earth Federation military until he was 34. After seeing the attrocities of the Earth Federation, Cardeas devoted his life to creating a machine of ultimately causing those around the world to awaken to see the attrocities of the Earth Federation. However, he died of overwork before his dream could be attained.
As a soul, Cardeas was approached by not a person shrouded in black, but rather a person in casual clothing calling themself a 'Sugiura.' Cardeas accepted this woman's help. Her name was Anna Links. Cardeas fell in love with Anna, who had turned him into a 'Sugiura.' The two did not live in the Sugiura Realm, but rather they still resided on Earth. Cardeas had learned that his great-great-great-grandfather, Syam Vist, was somehow still alive. Syam was alive by a very elaborate and expensive life support system. As this was the mid-2300s, Syam must have been from around the early 2000s. Syam and Cardeas spoke and looked at history and decided that not just the Federation, but many parts of humanity needed to be shown to the world and it was decided that Cardeas would return to mainstream society. To attain his dream, Cardeas started the Vist Foundation, a company designed to build around his dream and to protect humanity if needed from the Earth Federation. He built it up until 2411 when everything began to change...

In June 2411, the Vist family planned on giving the La+ Program, the source of the Vist Foundation's prosperity, to the Sleeves. Cardeas met with his grandfather to inform him that they are going to proceed as planned, but expresses his belief that doing so might create chaos on an unexpected level. Syam believed that the flaws of the past few centuries need to be corrected and hopes that they can find the right person to carry La+ Program. As Cardeas turned to leave, Syam thanked him and asked for forgiveness. Turning away from his grandfather, Cardeas admitted, "What we're about to do may lead to the destruction of the world. If anyone can grant you forgiveness, it will have to be me."

Cardeas headed to the colony of Industrial 7, where he planned on inspection the capabilities of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, the key to La+ Program. He sat as observer in the cockpit while the test pilot took it out for a spin. He instructed the pilot the increase the Unicorn's velocity and fly straight into a debris field. The pilot got scared, so Cardeas had him duck underneath the debris. Once they slowed down, Cardeas remarked how impressed he was with the machine; the pilot thought Cardeas was referring to him. The diagnostic computer then determined that the pilot's lifesigns are stable and the psychoframe G-Force was in expected parameters. Cardeas called his right-hand man Gael Chan to inform him that they're heading back to the colony. Gael then responded back by informing him that there were students from the Anaheim Industrial college who may have spotted the Unicorn after the transit shuttle broke down. Cardeas dismissed the notion, believing that they were moving so fast that no one could've gotten more than glimpse.

Once back at the colony, Gael informs Cardeas that he was able to get a hold of a staff officer on Luna II, who confirmed that Londo Bell failed to pursue a group of Sleeves. He tried Londenion but their commander isn't forthcoming. Cardeas could guess that Bright Noa must be behind this and instructs Gael to keep an eye on the supply fleets. He then turned to his staff and ordered them to delete the Unicorn's testing OS, seal its NT-D and upload the La+ Program. He then retired to his study, where he viewed a file on Banagher. Gael later comes up to Cardeas and shows him surveillance footage that detailed the presence of Mineva Lao Zabi, the princess of Zeon, being on the colony. Cardeas also noticed Banagher with her. Acting like he had no knowledge of him, Cardeas asked Gael what info they had on him, to which Gael admits that he looks to young to be a bodyguard.

Cardeas met with Banagher and Mineva, acting under the pseudonym Audrey Burne, in his mansion while they were staring at a tapestry copy of The Lady and Unicorn. Cardeas wants Banagher to leave (likely out of fatherly concern) as he felt he has nothing to do with Audrey and didn't want to discuss La+ Program in his presence. Seeing Cardeas displeased with Banagher, she didn't want him to be in further trouble; she expressed her gratitude for taking her this far and relieved him, however Bangaher didn't want to leave. Banagher mentioned how it was different from learning war in school and sensing it from being with her; he didn't care who she is, so long as she needs him. Audrey was a bit taken back from Banagher's words, but she told him she didn't need him and to forget her. Unable to accept his situation, Banagher stubbornly remained until Cardeas had someone remove him from the mansion. Mineva protested the Vist family's rash decision to just give up La+ Program. Cardeas assured her that even with the key, it will still take the right person to handle it.

Cardeas then met with Sleeves captain Suberoa Zinnerman. Though Zimmerman was expecting the box itself, Cardeas corrected that they're giving the key. A confused Zimmerman then prods Cardeas about the reason for giving the key but not the box, and mentioning the underhanded activities the Foundation was involved in. Cardeas smoothly reminds him that the Zeon leaders acknowledge the value of what they are offering, which is why they sent Zimmerman to receive it. Zimmerman admits that with the precarious state Neo Zeon is in, they need to seize the moment and would be disappointed if things went badly.

Suddenly, the mansion is rocked by tremors. Thinking this to be a trap, Zimmerman drew his gun. As Gael stepped in front of Vist, the latter denied it, thinking that Zimmerman must have been followed, even though neither of them could prove it. Zimmerman demanded that Mineva be returned to them, to which Vist admitted that he was intending to return her from the start and explained that she was in his mansion. Zimmerman mused that it is difficult now for either one of them to trust each other. He then ended the stalemate and decided to flee.

Cardeas remarked that the Federation would break a hundred-year old alliance to destroy the Foundation, even though they were the ones who started it. He and Gael raced to the Unicorn to erase the La+ Program, as well as the Gundam itself. Once it was confirmed that special forces have infiltrated the mansion, Cardeas decides to erase the program personally. He was soon forced to go on his own after Gael stayed to hold off Federation commandos. However, he was captured by his son, Alberto. Realizing that Martha put Alberto up to this and manipulated the military, Cardeas reacts by snapping the neck of a Federation soldier and used his body to protect against gunfire before killing the shooter. However, Alberto managed to fire a fatal shot at his own father before leaving.

Despite his wound, Cardeas made it to the Unicorn to finish his work. He then saw a shadow and presumed that the person behind was Gael but it was actually Banagher, who came looking for Mineva, whom he kept referring to as Audrey. Cardeas cryptically stated that this isn't the first time she cheated death and it won't be her last. Growing furious, Banagher presumes that he must have abandoned her and accuses him of cowardly attempting to escape, but Cardeas admits that even if he could, he wouldn't survive. Banagher demanded to know why he couldn't prevent this war from happening, otherwise his friends would still be alive. Cardeas tells him that they had set this path to correct the flaws of humankind and asked Banagher if he had the resolve to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. Banagher admitted that he didn't have that resolve, but all what he knew is for Mineva to need him. Satisfied, Cardeas entrusts the Gundam to Banagher, assigning it to his biometric, making it so that only he could pilot it. He tells the boy that if he proves himself to be a capable pilot, then the Unicorn will grant him powers unrivaled and open the path to reforming humanity. Banagher asks what it is, only for Cardeas to cryptically say is the dark curse that the Vist family guarded for nearly a century, but if used properly, it may bring about a brighter future for everyone. Banagher repeated his question a second time, but Cardeas ignores it, telling him the reasons why his mother took him. He soothes Banagher to believe in the possibility that lies within. He then fell out of the Gundam's hangar, muttering that his one wish has finally come true, before his body was incinerated by an explosion. He was survived by his son Alberto and his sister Martha. Martha was the one that took over after his 'death,' causing the ever-so-gullible Alberto to follow his aunt's every whim.

Banagher Links [APPROVED. 1-3 TSURUGI] Rx0uc-ova-rear
In its normal mode, the Unicorn's head is similar in appearance to those of mass-produced Kazuuchis, with the addition of a single, horn-like antenna extending from the forehead (hence the name "Unicorn"). In terms of its armaments in normal mode, the Unicorn is very lightly armed, with half of its built-in weaponry only being available in Destroy Mode.
Height: 1.97 meters (2.17 meters in Destroy Mode)
Weight: 2.37 tons
OS Name: La+ Program
Fixed Armaments:
10mm Vulcan Gun: Housed within the head.
Beam Saber: The Unicorn is equipped with a total of four beam sabers. Each forearm stores a beam saber and can also be used while attached externally to the arms. In Destroy Mode, two additional beam sabers deploy from the backpack. Also, while in Destroy Mode, the Unicorn is capable of generating giant beam sabers capable of effortlessly slicing a large piece of debris clean in half.
Optional Fixed Armaments:
Shield: A four-petal shaped shield that houses an I-field barrier generator; the feature is operational in both Unicorn mode and Destroy mode.
Hand-held Armaments:
Beam Magnum: A highly customized beam rifle designed with an energy condenser, the beam magnum is capable of matching the output of large mega-particle cannons. Normally, it functions like an ordinary beam rifle but utilizes a special E-cap magazine mechanism to produce mega-particle cannon yields at the expense of an entire E-cap battery. Each magazine is loaded with five batteries stacked one after another, allowing a total of five shots before a new magazine is needed. The Unicorn can be outfitted with two spare magazines on the back of its skirt.

Hyper Bazooka: Standard-issue equipment to all Kazuuchi. However, its length varies between the Unicorn's two modes. Fed with 6-round magazines, the rounds operate differently than a normal bazooka as they explode before making contact and releasing small beams on par with vulcans.

Beam Gatling Gun: A manipulator-operated, Gatling-style beam weapon capable of a high-rate of fire. Though initially incompatible to the Unicorn's OS, the beam Gatling gun can be recognized through the use of a weapon device driver. While the weapon is capable of unleashing a torrent of beam fire, individual shots are relatively weak.

Destroy Mode is the form the Unicorn Gundam takes when its NT-D System is activated. The transformation is marked by an expansion of the suit's frame. The armor seams separate and lock down into various hard-points, while the newly exposed psyco-frame emits a pinkish-red glow (attributed to a psyco-frame luminescence phenomenon). In this mode, the Unicorn becomes taller and its head transforms to one having standard Gundam features, the visor and face guard retracts into the head to reveal the mouth plate and the antenna splitting into a V-fin. In order to prevent its transformation being interrupted, its I-Field strength will be increased, at least temporary. Additionally a pair of beam Vulcan guns will be revealed on the shoulders, and two additional beam sabers will extend out of the backpack.
In this form, the suit's psyco-frame scans the pilot's thoughts and directly transmits them to the suit's drive system; in other words, the Unicorn can ultimately be controlled by the pilot's thoughts alone. The machine's performance - its mobility in particular - is dramatically increased when the NT-D is active partially due to the exposure and activation of six additional thrusters. However, the stress placed on the mind by manipulating an object more than twice the size of an average human is extraordinary.
Shinogi Drawback: Even with the aid of the psyco-frame the pilot's mind can only endure roughly five posts of operation before a safeguard is believed to activate, deactivating the psyco-frame and returning the Unicorn to its normal form. Furthermore, the system activates not according to the pilot's discretion, but automatically upon the detection of another Shinuuchi's Shinogi. The system also directs the movement of the suit when active, and does not completely depend on the pilot for commands. By default, the system will automatically attempt to destroy any Newtype enemies it detects, but requires the pilot to give it a conscience so it does not merely become a killing machine.

Full Armor Pack

Description:
At first glance, what appears to be a jumbled assortment of weaponry is actually a superbly balanced set-up which draws out the maximum combat potential of the Unicorn. The new array of weapons includes two backpack-mounted hyper bazookas, numerous grenades, missile pods, forearm-mounted Gatling guns, and two additional I-field-equipped shields, one on the backpack and the other on the right forearm. The backpack also features two massive vernier-boosters taken from a Base Jabber Type 94 to compensate for the increased mass, with one of the additional shields situated between them.
The unit's entire weapons load can be disconnected at any time if ammunition was completely spent to avoid becoming dead-weight. When Full Armor's NT-D is activated, the Unicorn is able to take control of an enemy's psycommu weapons for a much greater period of time, and depending on the pilot the NT-D system can even take control of Quasi-Psycommu bits. Aside from the change in psyco-frame color, the transformation of the Unicorn Full Armor's NT-D remains unchanged.

Optional Fixed Armaments:
Beam Gatling Gun: A manipulator-operated, Gatling-style beam weapon capable of high-rate firing. Originally a Neo Zeon weapon, the beam gatling gun can be used with the Unicorn due to Anaheim's universal weapons standard. The Full Armor Unicorn has a total of six Beam Gatling Guns, paired in sets of two on each of Unicorn's forearms and one on its back.
Shield: A four-petal shaped shield that houses an I-field barrier generator; the feature is operational in both Unicorn mode and Destroy mode. When equipped with Full Armor Equipment, the Unicorn has a total of three of these shields. Three shields together can almost provide Unicorn with 360 degrees of I Field. Due to the properties of the psychoframe allowing for direct manipulation of an object by a Newtype, Full Armor Unicorn is able to use its shields as funnels despite them lacking any actual thrusters. It was an ability that Banagher used as a beam deflecting funnel, when he unleashed all of his NT power.
Hyper Beam Javelin: Two large beam blades, one shaped like a spearhead and the other like an axe, attached to a long handle in a design reminiscent of a halberd. The Unicorn stores two folded javelins underneath the shields on each arm and can activate them when stored. The javelin can be used as a double edged weapon, and the spearhead can be used as a bayonet on Unicorn's Beam Magnum.

Grenade Launcher: Sourced from the rifle of a Kazuuchi, a grenade launcher is strapped to the underbarrel of each bazooka.
Hand Grenade: Sourced from the waist armor of a Kazuuchi, two sets of three hand grenades are fastened to the side of each bazooka as well as on each of the Unicorn's thighs, for a total of 24 hand grenades.
Anti-Ship Missile Launcher: Sourced from the shoulders of a Kazuuchi, a missile launcher housing three missiles is attached to each of the bazookas.

Past & Roleplay Sample

Character Background:
Banagher was born out of wedlock, and his unknown father has taken responsibility for him after his mother died. Not much is known about Banagher's past, but a flashback in episode 2 shows a young Banagher hooked up to a machine while playing the piano for his father.
Now a student at the Anaheim Electronics Industrial College at the space colony Industrial 7. Banagher does a part-time job clearing space debris with a miniature mecha. He viewed war as something akin to fiction, as he was born after the last war ended, and did not experience the more isolated wars that followed it. He was focused on his studies like his friend Takuya Irei, when their teacher, Mr. Bankcroft, lectured them about how a good education can get them a successful job. Just then, an education assistant entered the class to inform everything that the Anaheim shuttle meant to take them to the Snail, the colony builder, has broke down.
Banagher and his classmates soon discover a museum, filled with various former war items. Though Takuya insisted that they check it out, no one else cared, seeing as the war ended a long time ago. Banagher then began to stare at the Zaku, before he was interrupted by fellow classmate Micott Bartsch, who entered into a discussion with him whether he will find his father. Banagher soon became distracted as he saw something in the distance, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, and had forgotten that Micott was right behind him.
After the tour, Banagher was leaving the the technical school when he saw a young girl freefalling from the top of the colony. Banagher hijacked a TOLORO-800 "Torohachi" to catch the girl in midair. However, the Torohachi ran out of fuel and the two managed to safely crash-land near the Anaheim Electronics school. The young woman was distrustful of Banagher and held him down for interrogation; demanding to know his identity. After Haro spilled his identity, she then pleaded Banagher's help, a speedy means to reach to the Colony Builder to prevent war. Impatient, Mineva left, but Banagher stopped her; he volunteered to take her there as he knows the place the best. The young woman then told Banagher her name was Audrey Burne, an alias to cover up the fact that she is the Princess of Zeon, Mineva Lao Zabi.
While taking the mono-rail, Banagher asked Mineva questions about her interested of the Colony Builder, but she remained silent. It wasn't until Banagher mentioned the rumors that it's the HQ of the Vist Foundation that drew her attention. She asked if Banagher knew about the Vist Foundation, but told her he didn't see it himself, he only knew of it because one of their higher-ups is the chairman of his school. The train then made a sudden pause from its route, due to the police investigation the theft of the Torohachi earlier. To avoid police attention, Banagher and Mineva got off the train to travel the rest on foot.
While heading there, the two made a quick pit stop for some hot dogs as Banagher explains the Colony Builder is a system that helps expand the colony as it's still incomplete of its construction. While walking, the princess within her felt uncomfortable eating while walking, but she was surprised how good a hot dog was. To save time, Banagher rushed Mineva as they attempt to intercept Bangher's class; they intend to slip in as a group for her to enter the Colony Builder.
The two would later take a breather at the Colony Builder rails. Mineva wanted to know Banagher's reasons for helping her, but he interrupted her by introducing himself, because they never formally got acquainted. To avoid detection of her true identity, Mineva told Banagher her name was Audrey Burne. After that, the two continued their journey to the Vist Foundation.
At the Vist Foundation mansion, Banagher had a strange reaction to the place. Audrey thought Banagher was being rude, but he was compelled to enter the mansion and enter a particular room. From there, Audrey was surprised to find beautiful tapestries of a Unicorn and was further surprised that Banagher can read the inscriptions of the tapestries. It was then that Cardeas Vist arrived to explain the history behind the tapestries; the tapestries are called The Lady and Unicorn, French-made in the Middle Ages and acquired by Vist predecessors.
Audrey then apologized for their intrusion and was going to introduce herself, but Cardeas assured her he knows who she is; they skipped the pleasantries and Mineva was quick to ask Cardeas to reconsider the Vist Foundation's decision to relinquish the La+ Program to the Sleeves. Cardeas denied her request and then told the two the leave as he explained it's dangerous for them to meet like this; Mineva assured that Captain Zimmerman isn't the sort of man that would create ruckus.
Mineva asked again, the reasons behind entrusting the La+ Program to the Sleeves after the Vist Foundation have prospered because from it so long. Cardeas didn't give a straight answer, he deflected the situation by focusing on Banagher; Cardeas wanted Banagher to leave (out of fatherly concern) as he felt he has nothing to do with Mineva.
Mineva was a bit taken back from Banagher's words, but she told him she didn't need him and to forget her. Unable to accept his situation, Banagher stubbornly remained until Cardeas had someone remove him from the Vist mansion and returned to his classmates.
While Banagher was waiting on the new Anaheim shuttle, the Earth Federation decided it was time to take out the Sleeves. The Sleeves were known as that because of their fancy markings on the wrists of their Kazuuchis and uniforms. They were the elite fighting force of the Neo Zeon movement, which had died down three years prior.
As the collateral damage rises between the Federation and Neo Zeon forces, the colony is evacuated. Banagher and his friends attempted to gain access to the hazard shelter, but then suddenly, stray beam shot kill his friends, excluding Takuya and Micott. They are then witnessing a Federation mobile suit attempting to fend off a quad-wing type suit. After Takuya confirmed that the former was Federation, Banagher advised that they get to the colony builder, where the Federation mothership was bound to be. But first, he decides to search for Mineva, leaving Takuya to watch over a distraught Micott.
Making his way through maintenance tunnels, Banagher discovers the Unicorn Gundam he saw earlier and in its cockpit was fatally wounded Cardeas Vist. Banagher demanded to know where Mineva was. The Vist Foundation leader cryptically stated that this isn't the first time she cheated death and it won't be her last. Growing furious, Banagher presumes that Vist must have abandoned her and accuses him of cowardly attempting to escape in the mobile suit but Vist admits that even if he could, he wouldn't survive. Banagher demanded to know why he couldn't prevent this war from happening, otherwise his friends would still be alive. Vist tells him that they had set this path to correct the flaws of humanity. Vist asked Banagher if he had the resolve to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. Banagher admitted that he didn't have that resolve, but all what he knew is for Mineva to need him. Satisfied, Vist entrusts the Gundam to Banagher, who realizes that Vist was his father, as his biometrics are assigned to the Gundam, making it so that only he could pilot it. Vist tells him that if he proves himself to be a capable pilot, then the Unicorn will grant him powers unrivaled and open the path to the La+ Program. Banagher asks what it is, only for Vist to cryptically say is the dark curse that the Vist family guarded for nearly a century, but if used properly, it may bring about a brighter future for everyone. Banagher repeated his question a second time, but Vist ignores it, telling him the reasons why his mother took him. He soothes Banagher to believe in the possibility that lies within. Vist then fell out of the Gundam, before his body was incinerated by an explosion. As the cockpit closed, Banagher became distraught with the revelation that Vist was his father. He then remembered his brief childhood memories surrounding his father and the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry and gained the resolve to move forward.
