And so, our story begins. An abandoned city in Japan; lost to the winds of time and the dusts of the ages. A world that, without anything else, is just a complete barren waste of silence. This world, it was perfect--at least in the eyes of Okabe. Strange, how things could be lost as simply as this, though. Closing his eyes for a second, the man placed his hands into the pockets of his self-fashioned laboratory coat with a soft smile crossing over his lips. He looked up into the sky now, his eyes reflecting the sparse sunlight between the clouds. It was not a nice day--there was a chance of rain in the air, and he could see that quite easily. There was a chance of 60% of rain, and the it was slowly increasing as the cloud cover increased. However, that was not all that had been in the air. Things had been happening recently--his dreams had slowly been getting more and more violent. Strange, though. He normally saw visions of the past. This time, he was seeing visions of the future. A great war that would break out across the world. Demons, Arrancar, everyone sided with Kin Iramasha and Touketsu... against the forces of the Gotei and the like. Strange, how he saw that. Was it just one possibility in amongst millions that he had randomly seen? Or was this vision a harbinger of the future? The truth, as one would say... Sighing softly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a cellular phone, speaking to nobody in particular. After the loss of his first daughter to the Goddess, and the loss of his second to utter madness, he had gone back to a lot of his old ways. Titania and Alice were back, yes... but at what cost was that?

"The time may have come for action. The Organizations across this world are starting to move. Worlds will collide and people will most likely die, but for what? I will research this further. My time may be coming. I may finally have to play my hand. El Psy Congroo." Closing the phone, Okabe replaced it into his pocket. That device... it had come in handy over the years. His personal comments on a lot of subjects had been recorded, as well as the dreams that he had nightly. Sighing softly, he placed a hand onto his hip, keeping the other one in his pocket and taking one last look at the sky as he walked. Returning his gaze to the ground, Okabe smiled quietly to himself and chuckled with a soft confidence.

"The rain.. it approaches..."

Looking through sand swept up by the harsh desert winds that blew about rampantly, you could make out a trace of a human figure.Roughly slender with long flowing hair and clothes closely dressed to his figure.Coming in closer you would observe it to be a boy, roughly around his late teens and looks in favor of a female as his hair was long and coursing. He approached had approached the ruins which he could never recognize he had past many like it.No doubt was it that of a Japanese as it was a painful reminder that he hadn't gone to far from his original location. With a sigh he muttered,"Such unsightliness."He had gone to realize before looking up that the winds were much colder than before and the land was completely enveloped within shadows. The clouds were thick over head, he is sure it will rain eventually though this may pass off as a bit of good fortune for not having anything to drink for the past few weeks.Closely reaching the center of the ruins which would be a large intersection of 4 roads leading astray including the one he was walking on to notice a man with a lab coat standing in the center."Hey! Freak with the lab coat, you know where i can get something to drink or eat around here?!"He yelled at the man in order to get his attention. He was definitely strange with the fact that he appeared as any good professor in the middle of a ruin with unusual amounts of spiritual pressure felt.

As the clouds overhead formed and the energy in the clouds began to rub up against each other, A large pentagram formed in the sky, Expanding outwards the form of a large dragon burst through it, The large form shrinked down until it was naught but a man, His long white hair flowing behind him as he hurled towards the ground, doing a mid-air flip about half way down to the ground, He slammed into it causing a large crater to form a few seconds after he landed. It took a bit for the male to stand but when he did the dark mask with blue strikes turned towards the male that was known as Okabe, He was standing on the opposite side of Afuro.

The mouth of the male opened and let the dark reiatsu flow from his mouth in small amounts, He needed to say nothing from his *flashy* entrance as he walked out of the crater revealing that his mask was only covering half of his face. When he reached the top of the crater he already had his sword drawn, His intent was quite clear.

"Hey!" The first voice and body quickly snapped his mind to total alertness, his eyes slowly reacting--as if there were a latency between his mind and his body's movements. He turned his head and lazily looked at the extremely effeminate man approaching him with a kind smile. "Freak with the lab coat, you know where i can get something to drink or eat around here?!" Frown. He wasn't a freak. At least, he didn't think he was! Sighing softly, he turned his body completely towards the kid with a chuckle. "I don't think you should speak like that to your elders." He laughed softly, yet kindly, and placed his hands into his pockets. His eyes briefly closed, and he opened them once more in order to watch again with a strange curiosity. "Unfortunately, nobody actually lives here, so there's less than a good chance of actually finding nourishment..." He laughed kindly, shaking his head and taking a step forwards. "If you want, though, I can help you find something to ea--" He had just placed a foot onto the ground, when the sound of an object landing cracked out behind him. Slowly turning his body with a grim expression, he watched a being stand up and out of it.

Long white hair flowed down behind the body of a half-masked creature. Okabe didn't need to even ask--this creature was an Arrancar. Why would they be coming here, though? What was its purpose? The man stepped out of the crater with a dark exhaustion of Reiatsu from his mouth. Okabe peered at him with a slightly confused expression. The pressure of this creature felt about equal to his; which meant that it would be a rather even fight... That said, this one behind him, the one that felt like a hollow body with a small piece of something inside... a Mod Soul? What was his intention this day? The sword in the hand of the creature made its intent clear, but the one behind him was completely different. He didn't know enough yet. He couldn't make the first move, not without knowing exactly what he was up against. "So you made your intentions clear, I gather. However... I do wish to know. Do you have a name, Arrancar? Or you... Mod Soul?" A slightly calm smirk crossed over his face. "If you wish to know mine... it is Okabe Rintarou-Rex. It's a pleasure to meet you both, even if there is destined to be a fight this day. I do not wish for such a result... but you may have to force my hand." A grim expression... that was the only tell. Okabe didn't want to do this, he didn't want to hurt these who had so much more to learn; so much more to have thrust into their hands. But what if... what if they decided to react in a way that... Ugh. Not the right time, Rex...

Exsis wasn't one for words and this was only shown when Okabe decided to speak towards him. His entire body seemed to lean forward as though he was about to start running however once his right foot left the ground his left toe's flicked backwards and he vanished, Appearing on the opposite side of Okabe as he brought his sword down, aiming to try and catch Okabe off guard and possibly slice right through his arm.

All this time the half of his face that was visible didn't change and his hair seemed to be flashed to behind his shoulders, The eye under the mask was staring at Okabe akin to that of someone who Hated another to the point they'd do anything to kill them however his other eye showed the exact opposite

"Not speaking, I see." That was a pity; he would have so enjoyed some scillintating conversation with this mysterious Arrancar. The Mod Soul had all but disappeared from his vision and senses right now, so he decided to generally ignore that one, and react better to the threat that was directly in front of him. Smiling calmly, Okabe would watch Exsis lean forwards; as if he were about to begin running at him. In order to respond, Okabe took a singular step back. The numbers that deigned over his existence started to flicker back and forth, their values showing what he wanted to see. And.... there. A number suddenly changed, and the creature vanished. As expected. The numbers flickered on and off, changing until only one single possibility remained... THERE. He felt something appear by his side, and Okabe reacted in kind, turning swiftly around the Arrancar's attack and, while the other was unable to react properly due to the momentum of his body moving, he knelt forwards and strengthened his position, aiming to collide a fist with the chest of the other. The attack that Okabe made had quite a stable position and a hefty amount of force behind it; so much so that it would normally shatter half of the bones in the body of the average human being.

"I don't expect this to stop you..." Whether or not the attack landed, Okabe would then proceed to jump backwards from the Arrancar and land a good twenty feet away, planting his fist against his chest and grabbing an imaginary hilt, drawing a blade from the seal on his chest that made up his Sacred. Dropping it down to the side, Okabe smirked. "Book of the End." Quickly kneeling down, the man slid the blade of the weapon across the ground, designating a ten-foot-by-ten-foot square and quickly inserting himself into its past. Making quick work of it, he then proceeded to jump backwards and get out of the range of the square. "Activate." Quickly opening up the block, two large cannons raised themselves out of the ground, pointing towards Exsis. Charging up energy, it was obvious what was about to happen. Two balls of Reiatsu would be flung at the Arrancar the moment Okabe commanded it. A small grin appeared over the face of the Sugiura as he placed his hands into the pockets of his lab coat.

"Fire."

Exsis' eyes narrowed at the man, He let out a deep sigh "Baka...." He muttered as the balls fired at him, His form vanishing as he used Sonido and appeared behind her, His Zanpaktou already making its way towards her hips in an attempt to slice her in half with one swing, His reiatsu being considerably hard to detect, Even at point blank range. There was something about this Arrancarr....He was either holding back, Or he was weaker then he first looked and all those flashy lights we're just for show but even still...If he was weaker then he first looked...How in the hell could he not only be so fast, But his sword alone, The way it was being swong...It contained a considerable amount of strength behind it....

Could it be that he was holding back? And if so...Why? Against a someone like him? It made no sense but even still, If he either didn't block or dodge, Or somehow stop his arm from moving, Okabe would soon find himself with a sword ripping right through his stomach, The weakest part of any humanoid since it was nothing but meat except for the spine, And even that was easily sliced through, And with Exsis behind him, The cannon's would do nothing in the way they we're facing

Oh, so Exsis thought that he had it all figured out, did he? Standing there, with his hands in his pockets, and with his eyes closed; most would assume that Okabe were just waiting for it to end. If this were any other enemy, then sure. If this were anyone but Okabe Rintarou-Rex, one would be smartest to go for the direct attack. However, this man was not ten-thousand years old for just one small fucking reason. Oh, nonono. See, we begin with a few numbers.

Whether or not Okabe can see at the time doesn't matter--he'll still be able to visualize the numbers, directly in the forefront of his vision. These numbers start out numerous, however they all eventually whittle down. See, Okabe's powers begin with a few numbers. A vision, if you will--a vision of the line of the world and the past as it slowly divulges and converges, creating new pasts, new presents and new futures all at once. Because of this, Okabe is able to see everything that's about to happen, whether or not it's easily discernible. Now, don't get us wrong--it isn't foolproof. But who the hell decides to just go for the easy swipe to the stomach, huh? If he had taken a different approach, then the Arrancar would have had a much easier time in fooling the senses... yeah, that was just as unlikely. The simplicity of the movement clicked into place, and Okabe's eyes opened. "Really?" Disappearing from time for a brief second, the man then appeared behind the Arrancar once more, his hands still deeply lodged into his pockets, the blade restored to its original place and the cannons swooping back into the ground itself. "All that potential, and you decide to go and attack my STOMACH." The man shook his head quietly, laughing at the idiocy of it all. And as suddenly as his demeanor had turned joking, his face turned serious.

"Shall I teach you what ten-thousand years does to a man?" A small laugh erupted from his lips once more, and the male disappeared from the sight of the Arrancar. Sure, he wasn't as fast as most, but he didn't need to be. He could make himself faster. He could make himself stronger. However, he didn't feel the need to be. In terms of spiritual pressure, this creature was on the same level as him--so why the hell would he make himself at a higher level? Instead, he would fight him as he was. Either way, this would make for something of a show. Because, to tell you the truth... Well, actually. Do you want to know something funny? Okabe Rintarou-Rex could probably give Zaraki Kenpachi a fucking run for his money.

And, as suddenly as one would have disappeared, Okabe appeared within five feet of Exsis now. He would rapidly lunge forwards, ducking downwards and pulling back his left fist, preparing for the quick and easy jab. If it hit, then he would most likely send the Arrancar back at least fifty feet with the sheer force of the hit. If not, then it would carry Okabe onwards, past Exsis and stepping around once more, facing him with confidence and arrogance. Either way, Okabe would face Exsis and chuckle softly. "I should have introduced myself better. My name is Okabe Rintarou-Rex. Actually, there is no way to properly do that... unless... You would better know me as...

MAD SCIENTIST, HOUOUIN KYOUMA! FUWAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

Pushing off of the ground, the sleeves of the lab coat were quickly rolled upwards, and the man ran straight for Exsis, preparing himself by clapping his hands together and running fingers along the ground, pulling a longsword out of the works--something that had not been there before, but now existed due to Okabe making it so. "SO. YOU SHALL COME AT ME!"

Exsis watched the movements as his blade seemed to swipe at nothing, His head cocking back a little as the man vanished twice and reappeared twice "Such ignorance" He muttered softly, His feet seeming to 'slip' on the ground as the punch came towards him, Exsis vanishing just before the punch would've connected and reappearing moments later a few feet to the left "Your too slow" He muttered as the man tried introducing himself "Your name means nothing to me" He said non-chalantly "For you will fall before me and beg with your life for me to spare you" He said, His eyes closing as the man lunged again towards him "When will you learn? That attacking me is futile" He said, Raising one hand whilst keeping the other that held his sword in a defensive posture, A red ball of energy forming at his palm "Cero" He said calmly, Firing the Cero shortly after the male lunged, Giving him a small window in order to react before being blasted in the face

"My name is Exsis, As a human I slaughtered everything in my path, As an Arrancarr I slaughter and devour everything that stands against me, Remember my name Shinigami, For when you lose, I want you to know who it is that devoured you and who it was that is the cause of the fall of the Soul Society" This Arrancarr clearly thought very highly of himself, Claiming that he would be the cause of the Soul Societies downfall, He also just stated that Okabe would lose, And not only that...But he would also Devour Okabe when he lost, However if one paid attention...Exsis never stated he intended to kill Okabe before devouring him....

A low smile crossed the lips of the Sugiura, his dark grey eyes carefully watching the Arrancar, now that he had tried (and failed) to make his attacks. Chuckling softly, he once more placed his hands into his lab coat, closing his eyes for a brief and bare second before returning his deep gaze to the male who seemed completely unfazed by his introduction. "Your name means nothing to me" Yep. He really didn't give two shits about who this man was, and to be honest, Okabe was glad for that. People didn't know about him, therefore his placement in this universe was safeguarded by anonymity. However, if he were to become more well-known, then circumstances would most likely change. For that reason, everyone who knew either his name or his pseudonym would have to be silenced, or at least beaten into the earth until they learned that they had no place in this world to speak upon what they had just seen. As he lunged towards Exsis with the blade in his hand, the male Arrancar would speak once more--he had said more words in this past few seconds than he had ever spoken before.

"When will you learn? That attacking me is futile" The sword was raised into a defensive position, and the creature charged up an attack. Cero? Okabe's eyes widened, but he knew that there was nothing he could do. Casting the sword out to the side, he raised his hands up to his face, just as the attack collided and sent him flying backwards, rolling along the asphalt and grunting with each moment that his body landed upon the hard ground. He would have been able to obliterate it, if it weren't for the timing of the attack. Quickly getting his feet, the Sugiura stumbled slightly. Raising his gaze to meet that of the Arrancar, he watched the other's mouth move and say words that he almost anticipated in time. "My name is Exsis, As a human I slaughtered everything in my path, As an Arrancar I slaughter and devour everything that stands against me, Remember my name Shinigami, For when you lose, I want you to know who it is that devoured you and who it was that is the cause of the fall of the Soul Society"

"..." For a second, Okabe was almost dumbfounded. Was this creature serious? If so, then Okabe had sorely been underestimating the tenacity of the male. No, in fact... he had been completely wrong. This wasn't going to be as simple as disabling him and leaving. Slowly standing up, Okabe's entire face changed. Not a physical change, no. Instead, the look in his eyes would change. The previously-internalized glint in the grey orbs had changed to something darker, far more sinister than was needed previously. His shoulders would raise and fall for a second or so, and then the male would branch out into a deep and booming laugh that slowly grew in intensity and volume, reaching the pinnacle of psychosis. Holding his arms out to the side, Okabe's face turned completely inverse upon itself--the normally sombre disposition turning into something more... gleeful.

"I have to apologize more cordially, Mr... Exsis." Chuckling quietly as his body calmed down, the man's gaze slowly rose up and stopped in the middle of the Arrancar's eyes. "You see, I never actually saw you as a threat before. However, my view on you has now changed. You have risen up from someone who isn't perceived as a threat..." A brief flash of light glinted in his right eye, "To a total idiot without a cause." Stepping forwards now, the male bunched one hand into a fist then placed it into the other, cracking his knuckles and laughing softly. "You are completely incorrect in most of that statement, however I only need to correct you on two.

Number 1. I am not a Shinigami. I am a Sugiura, and best you remember that."
Taking a single step forwards once more, the male's neck was cracked from side to side in order to stretch out the muscles.

"Number 2. You will neither devour me, nor will you truly be able to cause the fall of the Soul Society. You are a weak being who does not truly understand what he has just come across." The laughing died down to nothing, and Okabe stood stock still, the look on his face darkening and his eyes staring directly at the Arrancar. Although he rarely went further than this on such a foolish enemy, he decided that it would be best that he executed him, here and now. The smile on his face widened, and Okabe Rintarou-Rex finally decided to pull out all the stops possible in order to completely finish his enemy.

Closing his eyes for a brief second, Okabe spoke a quiet statement to himself. "It is impossible for me to match my adoptive sister, Misaiko Sugiura, in spiritual power and pressure." The arms glowed a bright green, and his entire body started to suddenly give off a torrential amount of power that had not been noticed previously. This was the true power of Okabe Rintarou-Rex. Instead of being powerful naturally, he was able to do the impossible. By use of his most powerful ability, the Impossibility Marble, Okabe was able to temporarily change the past in order to strengthen himself or allies in the present--or even change the world around him. The pressure released would disable most weak opponents--anyone that was weaker than a Vice Captain would feel the sudden increase in pressure, possibly even feeling themselves somewhat disabled by the sudden increase. It could only be described as 'vast'. Grinning from side-to-side, the man slowly walked forwards and towards Exsis, slamming his fist onto his chest and drawing the sword out once more. "Come at me." Suddenly pushing off of the ground, Okabe rushed straight towards Exsis, his mouth wide open with a wondrous laugh. He landed on the ground but five feet away and disappeared once more, appearing right behind the Arrancar who would most likely try to run away from this attack.

"Every Possibility." As suddenly as the words had been spoken, shadows of Okabe's other potential selves appeared all around, each capable of landing a hit at the strength that Okabe was about to cut with, with maybe a little bit of reduced force. If his own spiritual power hadn't been raised so, he would have only hit them with weak attacks. Each of the possible movement paths were cut off--this was where one would realize the weakness of most step abilities. Although they seemed like it, they were not actually any forms of teleportation; just a movement at a high speed towards a single position. For this reason, Okabe had just managed to cut off all lines of evacuation for Exsis--he was almost completely guaranteed a hit. To top it all off, the smothering spiritual pressure meant that gauging the correct one to attack would be impossible... So, here went nothing.

The execution was about to begin.
