"Magare."

Two silky lips parted to say this simple word. Magare. Japanese for "bend" or "turning." The word escaped those two lips, but what was their effect and whom--or what--was its target? To answer the latter, hollows, creatures of immense evil and destruction, had somehow gotten into this near-utopia. Of course where these lips were was not the utopia most saw. The outer area of the city in the clouds was not the best maintained area. Police rarely patrolled as they would be overworked. But these creatures of evil and impurity had invaded, or at least tried to.
This group saw the girl who was dressed in a black dress with a white choker as an easy target. They saw her stumbling and figured she was under the influence of something. They cared not for what she was, nor who she was. They saw her as a meal, nothing more. As they had tried to consume the defenseless girl, she spung her trap. These hollows had foolishly put her in an alleyway. There are three places a hollow-sized object could be in this alley: ahead, behind, and above. Most of the hollows covered the rear, while their leader approached her from the front.

"Magare."

That is when that simple word escaped her lips. Her dull, violet eyes began to dance. The pupils swirled red and green. They saw and controlled something outside of a hollow's range of comprehension. The girl's eyes saw, and thus controlled, a pare of rotational axes (plural of axis). One rotated counter-clockwise, the other clockwise. The axes rotated in a sphere of similar size of a globe. The hollow's hand was wrapped in this spiral. The hand began to crack. Then it began to crunch. The bones, the muscle, the skin, everything was being bent. In a matter of seconds, the hollow's claw-like hand was nothing more than an unrecognizable piece of useless meat. To one that sees just that, it could be a phallus, a hand, a foot, a neck, a heart, a head, anything. It was no longer able to be called a hand, and that is all that mattered.

"Magare."

That one word escaped again, the axes appearing once more. This time, the sphere of destruction expanded around this hollow's reverse-jointed leg. Snap, crackle, pop, crack, crunch, splush. Those sounds came out from the hollow's leg. The leg's skin ruptured, pouring the blood and muscle out. Rather, what could be made out as muscle. It was closer to a mush of bone, muscle, nerve, and bood vessels. Its slimey, pink shape looked more like putty than anything else. Hamburger meat was a good example, but nothing close to this. The hollow collapsed, unable to balance itself on one leg. The beast was screaming in pain, its roar shattering windows.

"Magare."

She repeated it for the third time. This time, it was the finisher. A massive pair of axes appeared around the lead hollow's upper body. The ribs began to crinkle and snap like twigs. The elbows became the spine, and the spine became the collarbone. The shoulders swapped places. The mask of this wild monster cracked and shattered. The fragments cracked and shattered. The fragments' fragments twisted and cracked and shattered. The hollow looked akin to something from a Salvador Dahli painting now. It was bent into a shape that would make even the heartiest of men vomit. There was slight gargling coming from the mangled flesh, as if it were trying to scream again.

Of course, it could not. Nothing in that sort of shape could say anything. It could not beg for a quick death. It could not kill itself. It could not scream for help. One could only watch as it slowly bled out. As the hollow's life ceased, the girl turned towards the hollows behind her. She had no expression on her face. Her silk-smooth face like that of a doll's was smeared in blood. This girl was not shy of the feel, taste, smell, and sight of blood spattered across her face. Blood, muscle, bone, piss, semen, and the like had all been upon her face at one point. Though the latter two were the reason the former three were there.

She continued to repeat that one word. That word of destruction. That one word of pure massacre. The hollows that were now ahead of her twisted. They snapped. They crackled. They popped. They quickly suffered the same fate of their leader. Their blood splashed upon this girl's body. Her white choker was now stained scarlet. She simple continued this massacre, this genocide-like extermination of this small group of impure beasts. However, she only covered two of the three locations. The third is where a smaller group awaited this girl. They did not shriek. They only jumped. These hollows were above her, but they were quickly closing the gap thanks to gravity. This girl noticed the shadows falling upon her, turning around to see them falling. An expression finally came across her face. An expression of sheer surprise. Not one of terror. The surprise was not of the hollows, however...

"Hadō no Yon; Byakurai!" The mask of the first Hollow shattered. No, that was not the right word to describe the phenom. If the mask had indeed shattered, then there would be pieces left. No, the right word to use for this was 'disintegrated'. However, the attack would not stop there. Instead of stopping at a singular target, the large burst of electric energy started to streak forwards, straight through the masks of two others in the group, the last three barely managing to escape the extremely damaging attack, floating backwards up into the air to discovered exactly what had attacked and destroyed them with such ease. A cloud of dust had been thrown up by the force of the attack, however as it faded away there appeared to be a single figure standing with her right fist forwards, body in a fighting position. Long stands of pale violet hair were strewn down her back, and the peculiarly pointed ears, combined with the ethereal glow escaping from her bright blue eyes, gave her a look of complete mystery. The last of the electricity escaped from her closed fist, but that was most certainly not it. Instead, a confident grin crossed her lips and she pushed off of the ground without warning; no words came out of her lips this time, yet she would emit an exceptionally mysterious aura.

A foothold was discovered on one of the walls, and she placed her fingers lightly on the brick and pushed off once more, lunging into the air and spinning around, turning her body completely upwards and over in somersault. "Hadō no San-juu-san; Soukatsui!" Her right leg began to glow with a blue light, however her motions had caused her to take too long--the Hollow managed to pull away in time, watching the Shinigami fall to the ground. Her axe kick collided with the cemented ground, letting a wave of blue energy escape outwards in a circle, the ground cracked and cratered from the sheer strength that she had put into her kick. Gritting her teeth and quickly turning her body to push off once more, she lunged directly at the Hollow, letting out a growing shout as she streamed towards him. "Hadō no San-juu-ichi; Shakkahō!" Her right hand glowed a bright red and was brought directly into the Mask of the Hollow--there was not even a moment of shattering as it simply disappeared into nothing. Two left. As the confidence continued, the Hollows finally took the initiative to attack, screeching and both coming at her at the same time--she had taken them by surprise before, but now they would show their power!

"Fools." The girl giggled quietly and suddenly took up another stance, letting the grin on her face widen as they came at her. Her hands were brought down to her sides, and she grinned as she began to speak. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man!" A blue glow slowly began to emanate off of her fists. " On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens!" The blue glowed brighter and the Hollows screamed louder, charging her with no holds barred. "Hadō no Nana-juu-ichi; Soren Soukatsui!" A bright blue flame appeared upon both of her tightly clenched fists and the woman suddenly lunged forwards, bringing both fists directly into the faces of the Hollows. A shockwave spread out and they would both scream, dissipating into nothing and fading completely away. Breathing out, she smiled softly and let her inner meridians return to something known as total calm, closing her eyes and placing her hands softly at her sides with a giggle.

"Aaaah, that was barely a workout!" Stretching her arms out to the sides, the somewhat-mature-looking woman smiled brightly--looking far less mature than she appeared. Grinning now, she turned towards the black-haired woman, only to see the damage that she had done to the alleyway. "...oh."

---FIVE MINUTES PREVIOUS---

"Reports speak of a mysterious force coming from the outskirts of Sukai Karakura. Appears to be Hollow-like in nature. All nearby units, respond!" Grinning, the woman placed her hands onto the building that she was on top of, leaping off of the edge and dropping downwards, streaming towards the earth. "This is Reagent General, Solas Foiche. I'm in the area and on my way to the situation. Don't worry about reinforcements... I got this."

---NOW---

"Kwaaaah.... That was fun! Barely a workout, though. I want more." Pouting slightly, she finally looked at the girl and smiled brightly. "I suppose I should introduce myself. Solas Foiche, Reagent General of the Vanguard. Looking at your body... I'm guessing that you had a good time with this, huh~? Should've left more for me!" She chuckled quietly, completely oblivious of the emptiness of the girl that she was speaking to.

The girl watched as blue lightning split through the higher-altitude hollows. It was a beautiful show of power. Her empty eyes stared at the silhouette far below the other hollows. Ahead of her, there was only a cloud of dust. This girl watched as the silhouette danced along the walls to gain altitude. This silhouette did moves this girl could only ever wish to do. Spinning, flipping, and attacking mid-air. This girl only stared in fear and awe. She was ready to defend herself if this obviously-stronger thing decided to use this magic against her.

The girl stood in awe. She had taken out maybe four and doing so strained her eyes slightly. Outside the dust cloud, the girl could only watch the dance of colors. She was taken aback by this power she was feeling. This immense feeling of "run away, now" began to take hold. She took a step back, only to be met by the still-disentigrating mangles of flesh behind her. She watched as the final two hollows were lit ablaze by a blue fire. They quickly burned to nothing, and the dust cloud began to clear.

"Ah."

A small gasp escaped her lips. The first thing to leave her lips aside from her word of destruction was a sound of surprise. This surprise was how... beautiful this woman was. The silhouette from before was a woman with approximate age of a few years older than this girl. Her once-stern voice was now... soft. This girl could not do anything but to stare at the woman ahead of her. Her light-violet hair and eyes that were almost glowing were simply stunning. Her figure was amazing, much better than the girl's own.

Then, this woman spoke directly to the girl. Not only did she speak, but she smiled at her. This girl had not been treated so well in her life, except by one other woman. She tried to step back again, but there was still a mass of fleshy goo behind her. This girl stared at the woman still. However, as she stared at more of this woman and listened to her sweet voice, she inadvertently began to blush. When the woman asked a question, it would only be right for this girl to respond.

"I-I-I-I-I did not have fun doing this. I was m-merely defending my-myself. I don't want any more trouble, so please let me pass by. "

While she did respond, she did not do the proper thing. This girl did not introduce herself. She was not a wanted fugitive, nor was she some celebrity. However, someone like her... someone whom had done all of the things she has done... was not worthy of being near someone as nice and beautiful as the woman before her. Her name was Kasumi Minori. She was neither human nor shinigami. She was a Sugiura, a race few know of. Kasumi turned her head down. She just wanted to leave... She was not worthy.

"Ah." The look on the face of the woman that stood before her... was almost incredulous. Solas looked calmly into Kasumi's own eyes, watching with an expression of the utmost kindness; it was unusual for her to find someone who managed to look this... pretty. She wasn't beautiful--that wasn't the right word to describe such things. No, she was 'pretty'. She had an innocent look to her that Solas couldn't quite explain, nor would she be able to understand. Of course, it was offset by the blood, though that didn't bother her as much as it would certainly bother others. Chuckling quietly, she bowed her head slightly and smiled, before turning away somewhat and looking into the distance. "Hnnn...." "I-I-I-I-I did not have fun doing this." Blink. Blinkblink. How could one not have fun kicking Hollow butt? Turning her head back towards Kasumi, Solas let her eyes watch those of the other. "I was m-merely defending my-myself. I don't want any more trouble, so please let me pass by." Eh? Trouble?

"I don't understand. You're not causing any trouble--you've done our city a service by removing the threat. It's not like I'm gonna fight or arrest you, or anything, geez. I'm not like that..." Folding her arms, the girl looked to the side and pouted a little, in the way a spoilt child would. Why was she being blown off so easily?! She'd come here and protected this woman, she at least expected something in return. Not money, or thanks, or anything like that--but some sort of 'hello', or at least a damn smile! "But, okay." Stepping to the side, Solas opened up an avenue for Kasumi to pass her by. "I can understand if you want to leave--it would be a frightful experience. However, I'm also making you an offer. You're welcome to come back home with me, in order to get cleaned up. It's no fun walking around the streets covered in blood..." Chuckling quietly, Solas turned her gaze away and to the blood covering the alleyway. There was going to be a clean-up job soon enough, that was for sure...

Kasumi stared at this strange woman ahead of her. Her attitude was completely different now. Earlier, Kasumi was frightened of this woman. No matter how beautiful she was, Kasumi could not get over this fear. However, this new attitude surprised the maiden of destruction. She was almost acting like a child. She was about to walk around this woman, but was stopped by her words.

An o-offer? Kasumi turned back towards her, considering she had just stepped beside Solas. Kasumi simply stared into those blue orbs of hers, and she was slightly stirred up inside. She could feel her cheeks becoming flustered. She blinked twice. She could not speak for a few seconds. Someone was being kind to her?! No, this could not be. She was only mocking Kasumi. This strange woman could not possibly be kind to someone like Kasumi. However... Kasumi felt something different about Solas. She felt something akin to that red-haired tomboy whom had first shot the arrow of cupid into Kasumi.

"Do you really think you should offer something like that... to someone like me?"

Kasumi looked at Solas, still blushing slightly. Her tone was sad and empty. The only times she had been treated kindly were by men who used her for a sex doll and by that red-head. That red-head, though... she meant something to Kasumi. However, it seemed that Kasumi had meant nothing to her. She was thrown out like a diseased cat. Remembering what had transpired in her past, Kasumi's eyes became softer... less surprised. The blush disappeared slowly as well. The past and her stomach were the only thing that could hurt Kasumi nowadays... and it seemed like both were about to get riled up.

The smile that covered Solas' lips had not faded during the entire time that she spoke to this woman; she was honest, sincere and completely sure of herself in every way. Tilting her head to the side and letting the pale violet locks bounce with the soft movement, Solas proceeded to place her hands upon her hips and chuckle quietly, walking forwards with the continuation of her offer. The woman in front of her appeared to be rather... what's the word... scared. Yes, this woman was scared of Solas--it was to be expected at times, especially when one went ahead and destroyed as many as she had. However, although she expected that the other would be somewhat scared, she also hoped that her kindness would be accepted at the same time. Sighing quietly, Solas watched the decision run itself through the other's head for a little longer, before they stood next to each other, Kasumi and Solas' eyes meeting.

"Do you really think you should offer something like that... to someone like me?" Nodding quietly, Solas chuckled. "I don't know who, or what, you are. However, you were able to defend yourself against a couple of Hollow, and you seem to be a kind person, no matter what you think. For that reason, I'm quite happy to trust you enough to let you into my home and workplace." A quiet giggle, and she held out a gloved hand with a smile. "I promise, I won't hurt you one bit. In fact, I'll treat you as I would treat any other guest." Her head tilted to the side, and her smile simply widened. She didn't mind if this woman denied her offer. Solas was a total stranger--a powerful stranger--who would seem rather intimidating to some, despite her height. However, she was happy to let Kasumi go if she didn't want to follow. It was fine, totally fine. Not that she would like it, though.

Kasumi stood in silence. The thoughts of what to do bounced through her head. The consequences of if this young woman was lying ricocheted off of the consequences if Kasumi just kept walking and was spotted by police. Those collisions bounced off of other collisions. It was a never-ending cycle of Kasumi's thoughts. Her head whirred and suddenly dropped. Her hair covered her eyes. She had made a decision.

"I... I don't know who you are ei-either... a-and I don't have anything to prove that I can trust you or for you to trust me..."

Strangely, Kasumi's head raised. Her eyes, still empty and simply depressed, stared right into Solas's. It was rare for Kasumi to speak to someone like this (or for someone to speak to Kasumi so casually), let alone to make eye contact. Then, something that would shock those that know Kasumi happened. Shaking, her arm raised up, her hand gently clasping onto Solas's outstretched one. Her sad, depressing expression turned more neutral, but it still was not a smile.

"But... I can tell that you are a very sincere person."

Yes, Kasumi was taking Solas up on her offer. Kasumi felt she'd regret it later, but she also could tell that this woman would not hesitate to kill her if she got tired of Kasumi. Yes, Kasumi could tell that if she did something wrong, her death would be quick and painless... which is all Kasumi wanted. She felt as if a happy ending was impossible for her, one who has murdered. One who has sinned. One who has been through so much torment, so... much... torment...

"I... I don't know who you are ei-either... a-and I don't have anything to prove that I can trust you or for you to trust me..." She nodded, realizing this fact. She was a stranger who had just wandered in off the street, destroyed several Hollow in a vast show of power, and then turned into one of the kindest-looking people that you could find--it was a given that someone could be worried about her intentions. Solas didn't deny that there was a danger in every street, lurking around every corner--however, she wasn't one--at least, not if this girl was as sincere as she seemed. Solas would be as nice as she possibly could, however, since this girl did seem somewhat scared. Her hand was still held out in front of her and her face was still locked in the kind and sincere smile that she had been holding for a few seconds now, waiting for the offer to be either rejected or accepted. "But... I can tell that you are a very sincere person." Solas' eyes opened and looked into Kasumi's own. If she could notice; there was a neutrality to her face--she didn't look happy, but she didn't look particularly sad, either. Their hands touched, and Solas locked her fingers into Kasumi's own, before nodding.

"Good~" Turning her body around and preparing to walk Kasumi along, Solas pulled her softly to her side. "Now, come. I'll take you to my home, alright~?" Starting to walk back in the direction of the Vanguard HQ, Solas began to point out things that were around, in case Kasumi didn't quite know her way--if she did, Solas was doing it because she felt like it. She was fickle that way. And she enjoyed the company, even if it were quiet and rather frightened. Walking her towards the Vanguard Base, Solas felt her gaze quickly turn to meet Kasumi's every so often, before turning away. Her long ears twitched slightly, and she sighed. Why didn't this girl smile--couldn't she smile? Or was there something else for it? It confused her no end. In fact, it almost made her want to do something that would possibly be classed as 'extremely stupid', especially by Genpaku.

I will make you smile.

Kasumi was taken aback by Solas grasping onto her hand. She knew it would have happened, but it was just that it did happen. That threw Kasumi off. No matter how kind a person could be to her, Kasumi felt they would only end up hurting her in the end. And if she wasn't the one being hurt, she'd be hurting them. She didn't want this. She didn't want to hurt anyone. She didn't want anyone to hurt her.

"Now, come. I'll take you to my home, alright~?"

What could Kasumi say to that? She was inviting this stranger into her home... this murdering stranger. Why? Why would anyone do that? However, Kasumi knew it would hurt Solas if she turned her down. Besides, it was better for Kasumi if she got hurt in the end and not Solas.

"O-okay."

Then, Solas turned around. She was tugging Kasumi along, which felt strange. She always followed, so it wasn't the fact she was being tugged around. No, it was the fact that she was being tugged around by someone so feminine. And the outfit Solas wore sure showed off her femininity. Its back was completely open, which was apparently a fashion trend or something. Well, that's how Kasumi saw it at least. But what (pun intended) caught Kasumi's eye when Solas turned around was not entirely the open back, but rather a section at the bottom. Kasumi originally eyed that little section for a second or two, which caused a slight blush. But she shook her head, which removed the blush, and followed Solas's finger as she pointed out the places. Kasumi had never been to Karakura before, let alone a city this large.

Kasumi then noticed something else. She didn't really pay much attention to them, but Solas's ears twitching was just enough of a distraction for Kasumi to focus in on them. They were elf-like, but they were not fake. Or if they were, they were damn good fakes. Kasumi stared more at the ears. They simply fascinated Kasumi, moreso than the city. Of course, Kasumi didn't want to bring Solas's ears up, as that was rude (at least to Kasumi). Shaking her curiosity aside, Kasumi started listening to Solas's tour guide routine. She was happy doing this, which surprised Kasumi. It seemed so boring... yet she got enjoyment? Kasumi had much more to learn about this woman leading her around, but she would stay quiet. After all,one being quiet can not hurt another.
