It has been three days since Amelia was made Doctor Hebi's lab assistant. It made her happy to be something that he had never had before. It made her feel like he saw something special within her, like he trusted her more. She felt even more important to him, and refused to let him down. It was getting harder though. The day he told her to become his assistant, she had begun feeling strange. Since then, fits of blurry vision, feeling lightheaded, panic attacks, and hot flashes had almost become routine for her. She knew something was wrong, but didn't want to disappoint Doctor Hebi, so she refused to tell him about it. She kept it secret, and for three days has been suffering for it. And now, they were out on another mission. She wasn't sure what for, but Doctor Hebi had brought her to the surface again. She wondered whether they needed another plus, but doubted that another would show itself around here any time soon. The last one was a rare case from what she understood, and if not, that meant there was some sort of city nearby, which only peaked her interest.

It was around noon. The sun was high in the sky, and even though it was actually quite cool, Amelia was burning up. She felt slightly dizzy, like she could lose her balance and collapse at any moment. She fought it. Doctor Hebi was right there, only a few feet away. She refused to show any weakness in front of him. She looked around at her surroundings, wiping some sweat from her forehead as she did. Little Shiro, her white tiger cub, had vanished for a few days and she had not known why. The night before, she showed up in her bed again, cuddled against he belly and keeping her warm. It was like he showed up in times of need, when she felt lonely, or when she wasn't feeling well. A blessing to be had. Now, the little white fluff ball stood next to her, watching her every move. Amelia still did not understand their connection, although she cared for the small cub as if he were her own. Shiro was probably the only thing she would fight the Doctor about. Shiro was the one thing she would not allow to be hurt, ever.

As she waited for Doctor Hebi's orders, she walked over to a nearby tree and leaned herself up against it. Shiro did not follow. She looked away, trying to catch her breath. It was becoming more tiresome to hold this back, and being outside was not helping the situation at all. Shiro saw this and made a small journey over to the Doctor's side. Shiro sat next to him and spoke as respectfully as he could. "May I ask why we are out here? It's kind of hot, don't you think?" Shiro asked him, looking up to the Doctor, "We should probably get inside soon. I doubt you want your experiment to faint from this heat... and the humidity is bad as well, only making it worse..." Shiro was obviously hinting something, but telling Doctor Hebi right out that Amelia was sick was not a good idea. "Let's just get whatever you want done, and take the girl back inside, okay?"

The Doctor could merely look on as he watched Amelia leaning up against a tree. Hmm... what could have happened to her...? He wondered, thinking to himself. He had not observed anything out of the ordinary happening to his new assistant; after all, he studied her each and every night after she fell asleep to make sure she was alright. And during the night, she always was.

However, he hadn't failed to notice her strange behaviors during the day time. She moved oddly at times, seeming not all together. It made him wonder about her and what was going on; and he was thinking over this as he heard Shiro speaking, looking down at the cub at his side. ”We're looking for a butterfly.” The Doctor said in reply, yawning as he threw his hand back, his fingernails neatly catching one by its body right in front of the little tiger cub.

”Not particularly. It's about normal temperature... I'd guess around eighty five? Perfectly comfortable for us... less so for you in your white coat.” He explained, looking down at Shiro. ”Why would she faint from heat? She's fine.” He said, continuing to watch Shiro closely before glancing back up towards where Amelia was.

”Amelia, fetch me that butterfly there and we'll be done out here.” The Doctor instructed her as he pointed to a butterfly flying neatly around the tree above Amelia's head. ”Just don't break its wings or body... I'm intending to study them.” The Doctor said simply, keeping one eye literally on Shiro and the other on Amelia. He watched carefully for any changes in behavior; any signs that something was off. After all, Shiro had never made a request like this before. What's going on here...? He wondered to himself, deciding to test out and see what would happen....

"A butterfly?" Shiro said with an irritated tone as he stood up, walking towards the front of Doctor Hebi, "You have us out here... for a butterfly? What the fuck do you need a butterfly for?" It was hard to imagine a cute little cub speaking like that, but he had told Doctor Hebi before that he was actually the same age as Amelia. He was part of her, so that should be obvious to those who knew and understood. Before he got his answer, Doctor Hebi ordered Amelia to catch a butterfly for him. Hearing her orders, Amelia stood up and took in a deep breath. She nodded to Doctor Hebi, smiling sweetly towards him. She tried to act as normal as possible, once again refusing to show weakness. She looked towards the butterfly and slowly stepped towards it. "Why does Doctor Hebi need a butterfly? I don't understand..." she thought to herself as she watched the small insect fly around. A small smile moved onto her lips. It was rather beautiful in her opinion, but it was just a bug.

Amelia leaped into the air to try and grab it, but missed. She did this a few more times, missing each time. She didn't want to have to use her power, even though that would make it much easier. Finally giving up, she raised her hand to the butterfly and sighed. She was about to use energy that she really didn't have. She curled her fingers as if she were trapping it, causing a cage of ice to surround the butterfly and drop into her hands. She looked down to it and smiled again. She made sure each bar of ice she created around this insect was perfectly spaced so it could not get out, but at the same time it could breathe. She began walking towards Doctor Hebi and holding up the butterfly caged in ice.

"I've got it Doc-.... tor...." The look on Amelia's face completely changed. It wasn't happy. There was no smile. Instead, she looked dull and dazed. Her eyes went blank. Her vision blurred very quickly and she truly felt like she was staring down a long tunnel. She felt her body falling to the ground, her hand accidentally letting go of the little ice cage that contained Doctor Hebi's butterfly. Everything went black as she fell to the ground and passed out. Her skin was soaked from sweat, she was breathing very heavy, and her skin was very hot. "Damn it!" Shiro ran over to her side and then looked up to Hebi, "This is why I was saying she needed to be taken inside... She's sick."

Dr. Hebi looked down at Shiro, merely blinking at him. His language is erratic... He noted, his eyes slightly squinting before he sighed, leaning back against the tree as he watched Amelia. She seemed to be acting normal, but there was something underneath of it. Something is wrong... He thought to himself, taking in a deep breath as he filled his lungs with the scent of his snortable gold, keeping his eyes locked on Amelia the entire time.

As he watched her continually try to leap into the air, he had already deduced something was wrong. This would be an immensely simple task if she was just able to focus as normal on it... so what's going on. He wondered, his eyes narrowing. She has not been injured... her body should be resistant to almost all kinds of diseases... the environment is fine... and she's been getting plenty of rest. What's wrong? He wondered, as he watched her finally use her powers to catch the butterfly.

As she stumbled towards him, he merely watched her approach. His eyes narrowed slightly as she spoke, seeing the expression on her face change. Something was most definitely wrong, and had just escalated to the point of not normal. He watched as she released the butterfly, her body starting to fall to the ground... even as the Doctor slid forwards, embracing her with his hands as Hebi wrapped around her, securing her in and upright position. She's sick. He deduced, feeling her breath against his face as well as the other symptoms of her skin, before hearing Shiro speak... as well as hearing the ice cage smash into the ground.

”I know. Or thought, anyway. But neither of you said anything. So I had to find out for myself.” He said, glancing back down at Amelia as he sighed... and Hebi appeared behind Amelia, biting her in the back of the neck. As he did so, the snake distributed every type of venom and antidote the doctor had into Amelia, all at once. He watched carefully, sighing in exasperation as he saw nothing happen. Should have expected as much... He thought, even as he descended back down into the ground...

Now the Doctor was walking up to Amelia, his cloak taken off and a pink apron on his body. He didn't particularly care for the color... but it allowed him to cook at a very good rate, even with his black pants on. He walked up to Amelia, who was laying down in a bed; her cloak laying off on the side on the drawer next to her, the doctor sitting in the chair he had placed beside her bed, and the Doctor holding in his hands a bowl... of chicken noodle soup.

"Of course you have to find out for yourself!" Shiro said loudly, but still trying not to disturb the sickly Amelia, "She's scared to death of disappointing you... Scared of making you mad. She thinks if she does one thing wrong that you're just going to throw her away, like trash. She isn't going to outright tell you 'Oh Doc I'm sick'. She's been like this for a while now." Shiro was obviously in a panic since he didn't know exactly what was wrong with Amelia, and watching Hebi seep venom into her body wasn't exactly helping. Of course, Shiro didn't know that there were antidotes and such as well being pushed in. His mind was that Hebi was a snake, snakes are poisonous, so Hebi was trying to poison Amelia. As the two sunk into the ground, Shiro set his paw on Amelia's body to make sure that he too went along with them and wasn't left on the surface. Once they reached the inside of the lab, he stepped over to the bed that Amelia was now placed on and sat there, waiting for some sort of response from the girl.

Amelia wasn't aware of too much at this point. Something within her had been building up, making her feel worse as the days passed. She was assuming it was going to fade away like it was nothing, but she obviously ended up being wrong. Now she only felt worse. She was a burden on Doctor Hebi. Shiro was right in one thing. He knew Amelia well. Even though she had said nothing to him or anyone else, she did feel like he might throw her away, kick her out, or even end her life if she did something wrong. That wasn't something she was willing to go through. If that happened, she'd be leaving him behind, alone in this world once again. Although she wasn't sure, she thought that her being around Hebi would make him realize that he wasn't ever alone in this world. Disappointing him to the point where he would no longer want her around was one of her big fears at this point. She really did not want it to happen, ever.

Amelia's eyes fluttered open to gaze upon the ceiling of the lab. She felt so hot, her temperature was up. It was a fever that she was not able to handle very easily. She sat up a bit and looked around. As her gaze came upon Doctor Hebi, she smile softly with a look of guilt in her eyes. That changed quickly though, as he put on the apron. This was not something she ever expected to see. Not only was Doctor Hebi wearing an apron, but it was pink. She could not help but turn away, cover her mouth, and laugh hysterically into her hand. Feeling this hurt her head, she attempted to stop, but really could not help it. A single word came to mind. "Cute!" She coughed a few times and looked to him, seeing him hold out a bowl of soup. She smiled softly again, fighting the intense urge to laugh, and took the bowl from him. She brought it to her lips and tipped it towards her, being careful not to burn herself as she took a small sip of the warm liquid. Once done with her first drink, she looked back to him happily, "Thank you..."

"I didn't expect him to actually take care of me..." she thought to herself, "At least not like this... It's really sweet..." She brought the bowl to her lips, took another drink. Since it was warm, it comforted her sore throat and some how made her feel a bit better. She then picked up the spoon and began to eat it slowly. After a couple of bites, her eyes suddenly widened. She was unable to swallow. "What's... going on....? I CAN'T BREATHE!" she thought as she attempted to take in air, but couldn't do that. She brought her hands to her throat and dropped back down onto the bed in a panic. She began kicking her legs sort of wildly, her eyes rolling to the back of her head due to the lack of oxygen. Something bad was happening. Out of no where, her energy shot forward from her body. It was spiraling out of control. It was now completely visible, swirling around her body like a tornado of ice, freezing in temperature.

As she suddenly jerked, the Doctor's eyes widened. Hebi moved quickly, wrapping itself firmly around Amelia's tail, and thus making it feel through her entire body like she was being held by something steady. Meanwhile, the Doctor moved his gaze back up to Amelia. Mu. He thought simply, as his body began exuberating an immense amount of heat. He was using Fire Release, countering out Amelia's freezing. His apron, made of such strong fabrics to withstand any cooking temperature, was perfectly fine even as he reached out to Amelia, holding her by the shoulder.

He leaned forwards, even as his lips met Amelia's. He took in a deep breath through his nose, before he began reccistating her, having realized she could not breathe or swallow. First, he dragged all the food out of her throat, moving his head to the side as he spit it out, using Hebi's grip to maintain himself to Amelia. He brought his mouth back, pressing air into her lungs. He could feel the massive amounts of power that she was giving off now, his eyes narrowing slightly as he continued his stready rhythm, breathing in, and out, and in, and out, right along with her, helping her to breathe. Relax. He sent the single word into her mind, trying to show her she just needed to relax. His long tongue began to move down her throat, opening it to allow the air back out, allowing her to be fully reccesitated, the doctor moving his tongue to try and relax her at the same time as he kept her breathing.

Just let all of it out. Purge yourself of your energy. I'm right here. The Doctor's eyes slightly narrowed, even as Yin spoke through the mind link to Amelia; even as he kept reccesitating her. He waited patiently; realizing most likely what was wrong with her. It was the surgery; it seemed to have caused a disagreement with her body; which is why he told her to to release all of her energy. It would get rid of the contaminated mix of her old and her new energy, and allow her to become totally filled with who she was now, and thus be complete...

Amelia felt something begin to hold her down, but her panic was keeping her from thinking straight. She kept attempting to thrash around, not able to control herself, but was now being held down by her shoulder. Her body tensed up, movement ceased as his lips met her own. She felt him use his tongue to remove the food she was unable to swallow, gross but necessary. Still she was unable to breathe, but then he once again used his tongue to open her throat, allowing her to breathe once more. Her eyes went back to normal and shifted towards him. She was truly scared. Something was wrong with her and she didn't understand what. She was trying to hold back her energy, not wanting to go out of control, but Doctor Hebi seemed to think differently. He spoke to her through a mind link, and it wasn't just him, it was Yin. Hearing them both seem to be concerned about her made her happy. A single tear dropped down the side of her cheek. She didn't know what, but something told her that this was really going to hurt.

Amelia closed her eyes. Her body was still tense, frozen in an uncomfortable position. Her own energy, the snakes within her body were fighting one another. At first it was like they had meshed, but something had changed recently. What was it? What could have altered recently that made her energy react this way.... It was that personality of hers. When Doctor Hebi asked her to become his assistant and she agreed to it by tricking an innocent plus into the lab, even though she never lied to it, her normal self had shifted. The snakes within her attempted to take over, creating this second personality of hers. Because of this, both energies were no longer 'getting along' and instead were fighting one another for dominance. Amelia just didn't have the Will Power to hold them back. She unknowingly let them begin to run through, starting a war within herself. Now it was time to do as Doctor Hebi had said. It was time to temporarily rid herself of her energy.

"Here... I... go...." she thought as she tightly shut her eyes. Not a minute later, a large BURST of pure energy shot out from her body at a very high speed, slamming into everything that surrounded her, as if a huge damn had been released. Doing this at such a quick rate and with the pressure that came behind it caused Amelia an immense amount of pain. She was able to breathe on her own now, and her body was no longer tense. Her back arched, the pressure of her own energy causing her body to lift from the bed she lay on. She screamed, shrieked. A massive wave of pain shot through every nerve in her body. It was something she could not fight. This entire thing lasted ten seconds and her energy was completely gone. Her body stayed in mid-air, frozen there for a moment and then finally dropped down, slamming onto the bed beneath her. Amelia was breathing normally, but she was still feverish, warm, and sweating a bit. She kept her eyes closed, the pain slowly draining from her body as she lay there motionless, but awake.

The Doctor's eyes widened, as he realized that she was preparing herself. His breathing into her, slowed down, his tongue slithering out from her throat and back into his own mouth. He saw the tear going down the side of her face, assuming she was in great pain. However, he knew that would most likely go away soon if she just did what he instructed, as he prepared himself.

He watched as she shut her eyes, and he released the grip on her tail. As he did so, he was slammed into by a wall of force, huge in size, as he grit his teeth. He was thrown back, slammed into the wall and held there by the massive amount of energy. He winced sa he felt his limbs being torn away by the sheer amount of energy, his eyes widening. Her power level was high, very high; it was still on the charts, but it still nearly blew the Doctor's current form away.

Then, finally, it was over; even as the Doctor felt his healing energy going through his body as he attempted to heal his injuries. He had heard her screams and cries; there wasn't much for it, he knew. It was just something she was going to have to accept and embrace; it was a part of her now, after all, and she was getting rid of it for a time. As she slammed down into the bed beneath her, the Doctor slid to her side.

He took her tail in his hands once again, just as he had right after she had gone through the procedure. He softly massaged it, knowing the kinds of pains she must be going through; she was experiencing a moment like the Doctor's entire early life had been. So he was doing his best to relax her, to calm her down and make her feel safe. Right now, he knew she wouldn't want to be stressed at all. Soo he was helping her; trying to make her feel better, relax her and soothe her. He knew she was still awake, seeing the tenseness in her body still even as it began to go away.

”Lady A... How do you feel?” He asked her, smling softly, his eyes two round orbs in his head as he looked down at her. He continued to massage up and down her tail as he laid down next to her, his eyes slightly narrowing. Once again... she was warm. His cool body slowly attached it to hers, his apron blown off and the winds having cut off the bottom of his jeans, leaving him pressed up against her form, continuing to massage her tail...

A Snakehearted Experiment: Amelia's Sickness [Closed] Empty Re: A Snakehearted Experiment: Amelia's Sickness [Closed]

It was all over. Amelia lay there on the bed still breathing heavy. She kept her eyes closed. Her hair was flopped over her face, the strands of her hair hiding most of her features. She did not move, nor did she really react to anything that was done. She could feel the massaging of her tail, but even with how sensitive it was, her body was numbed. She shifted her head only slightly and was immediately met with a sharp pain in her neck, face, and shoulders. It was best for her to keep still. She did shift her eyes, looking up at Doctor Hebi as he brought himself into her warmth. She heard his question and she thought about the answer. There was truly only one that she could come up with, and she didn't like it. Although it felt like her uncontrollable energy had left her and her body was calming down, there was still something left, something keeping her weak. A normal sickness, one that kept her fever high, her throat sore, and the occasional feeling of being lightheaded. This is what she still felt, and like any normal person, it made her miserable.

Every muscle in her body ached, so she refused to move them. Still not answering his question, because she was searching for another answer, she realized she could not find one. Doctor Hebi had asked a question and she had not answered. She had to answer him. She closed her eyes, even the small motion of blinking causing her a tiny bit of pain. Once she opened them again, she looked to him, through the wild strands of hair that were laying across her tired face and spoke in a rather cold tone, "I feel like I want to die..." A strange feeling, but the pain she felt was so immense, it even made her want to end it all. It hurt. It hurt way too much. Physically she was unable to stand it. Mentally she was tired, angry, torn, and above all... numb. Never before had she felt something like this and never did she want to feel it again. She only hoped that Doctor Hebi would not actually kill her, and maybe do something about the pain.

"You... k-kept... me.... alive..." she forced the words through her lips, talking in a cold, raspy sounding voice, ".... Why?" A vague question. The pain was preventing her of saying everything she needed and wanted to say. What she really wanted to ask was whether he felt anything at all. Seeing her in as much pain she was in, what were his thoughts? The fact that Yin was able to break through and speak made her wonder a few things, but at the same time made her feel like her mind was getting ahead of her. Now, she only lay there and wonder, keeping her tired eyes on the Doctor and waiting for his answer to her vague question.

”...You want to die? Hmm. I'm afraid that I cannot allow that, Lady A.” the Doctor said, even as he coiled his body tighter against Amelia's, trying to hold her together. He looked in her eyes,, listening as she asked her pointless questions. ”Why would I kill you? Did I not tell you that you would be eternally interesting to me? I will say one thing... I do not go back on my word.” He said, his eyes coming down to half mastas he explained.

”As for why... the reason is two fold. Half of it is is that I am not done with you yet... as I said. The other half... is that I seem to enjoy being close to you. Or my body does, anyway.” The Doctor explained to Amelia. He could only look her back in her eyes; he honestly didn't have any more clue than she did. ”I'm not entirely certain why... it's a strange sensation, like doing experiments. However... it's different. It's more... exciting. More desirable, I think.” The Doctor said, even as he began to methodically massage Amelia's tail, Hebi coiling tightly around her as his own eyes met hers once more, looking for an answer... looking for... something...
