Byakuya Kuchiki

Appearance Description:

This appearance description may come off as slightly biased. To start from the top of his head you already see excellence; going down from the topp of his head are three little cones, called kensaiken. These kensaiken show off his rank as a noble born in the Seireitei; although never the less they increase his boss rating. His hair texture is velvet soft, and the length goes all the way onto his back. His hair is grouped into careful strands by the kensaiken, which prevents his luscious hair from ever getting into his eyes when he battles.

The length of his hair in the front of his face goes down past his ears, and in the back to the top of his back. The kensaiken are set with three in the top of his head and two on the side of his head. He has very short, but well taken care of eyebrows, as he takes the grooming of himself very seriously. his hair is perfectly cut around his face to keep it clear of himself other then what falls from his kensaiken, and his face is a perfectly sharp visage, blemishless.

He has a fairly wide forehead, due to how well he has his hair cut, and a small mouth. His eyes are wide and bright, although one can tell the most about his current emotional state through his eyes, such as shock or disbelief or even fear through them, as well as determination etc. His eyelashes are well groomed, and he has very thin eyebrows.

Around his frame he wears a medium length scarf, tightened around his neck like a collar. He wears a black Shinigami's uniform at all times, with a white undershirt underneath it. This is a very lightweight garment, with long sleeves that can overtake his hands when he lays them down flat. Around his hands he wears a pair of light weight gauntlets made of a very thin fabric which go from his forearms to the base of his fingers, not going around his fingers.

He wears the pants of the Shinigami uniform around his waist, and the typical Shingiami's underclothes. Around his legs he wears a cloth similar to the material around his hands as leggings, and wears sandals on his feet. Overall, he carries himself as a nobleman would, rarely making much movements and actions even during battle and walking with a sense of purpose, always knowing what his goal is. Even when he seems calm, it is highly possible that he is conflicted and merely controlling himself, as he is extremely skilled at this.

Finally, he wears a simple white mantle over his normal garb, with a raised collar that has a gold lining on the very top of it. It appears to be modeled after the Shinigami's Captain Uniform, although Byakuya's only displays the name of the noble family of Kuchiki.

Personality:



Level-Headed
Byakuya often does not seem to display any emotion whatsoever. That is because he has an immense amount of control over himself; almost as if he had beaten it into himself that he must always be in control of his actions and emotions. He rarely shows his outer emotions to anyone; friend or foe, unless they have taken him past the point of his shell. Negative emotions easily escape his shell and apply themselves through his outer shell. Positive emotions are much more difficult to escape his shell, and you can easily tell when he has released them.

Internal conflict
However, despite his powerful outer shell, his inner one is almost in a perpetual state of conflict. He has a duty to defending the rules of soul society, an extremely powerful duty towards it. However, the problem happens when someone e cares about breaks a rule; and he is left with having to make the decision for himself on whether to help hem or not. IN the end, when pushed all the way, he himself discovered that between the laws and his vows, he chose his vows.

Noble Birth
Byakuya is most definitely a noble being. He holds himself in a impassioned way, as befitting a person of nobility. This outer shell is very difficult for one to break, as they are well trained, a very part of his being and closely related to his determination in obeying the rules. However, because of this, he feels an immense link to anything having to do with his nobility, and treats pride as a very real and very valuable thing, which should not be broken

Fighting Style
His fighting style is very stationary; this is reflected in the way his zanpaktou has manifested itself. It requires he himself to have to expend as little energy as possible, unless he really wants to kill his opponent. Most of the time, he stands there, completely relaxed, only making one or two blows if he can to finish off an opponent, and failing that uses his shikai so that he doesn't have to move much from there, merely swinging his sword in an attempt to rapidly cut down and punish his opponents.

Impatient
However, he really is an impatient person. He dislikes having to go through long fights, as well as having to wait to get what he wants. While he mostly has this under control, he used to be extremely arrogant about it. It is still possible to see this nature reflected in his actions, however. It is most obvious in the way he prefers to take down opponents, striking them down quickly and effortlessly, or else putting his all into it to make sure that they are killed. He doesn't like drawn out things; when he runs into a problem, he does his best to have it fixed as soon as possible.

Obey The Law
Byakuya has a strong affinity for the law. He greatly dislikes any who break the law,and attempts to rapidly perform Punishment on them. He very rarely says that he intends to kill anyone, and instead merely desires to greatly harm them so that they can learn the errors of their ways, and become productive members of society once more. He also carries out the law without hesitation;a s those who break the laws bring nothing but conflict and strife to all of society.

Overall, Byakuya has a hard shell but truly does have some compassion. This is shown in his love of the law; which he carries out for the good of society. He may be really impatient beneath his noble surface, but this was a process that developed gradually, over time in his life; it is not his true nature. This often leads to him coming off as arrogant at times, because of how he views his own nobility; although it is not normally his intent to seem as if he has an ego.

Pride
Perhaps the hardest trait to ignore is Byakuya's pride. He firmly believes in his position in life, and strongly detests those who would challenge it. These individuals are the ones whom he dismisses the quickest, and finds starting a physical conflict against the easiest. For Byakuya Kuchiki, holding onto the idea of one's self is extremely valuable.

Zanpakutô Spirit Name: Senbonzakura

Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance:



His true form looks a lot like Byakuya's human force. However, he wears a full set of armor that completely surrounds around his entire body. The armor consists of two arm guards and a facemask, that looks like a demon. His hair is tied in the back by a ponytail; and around his body he wears a flowing purple garment with white outlines, held together by a massive sash into a bow.

The armor is red and yellow in color, and his hair comes down in two strands in the front of his body. He looks quite a lot like an ancient Janpanesse warrior, although he does not wear full body armor. That is what Senbonzakura's true form looks like.

Inner World:



Byakuya's inner world is an infinite space of darkness, with hundreds of thousands of infinite amounts of blades swirling in a great many cones all around the Shinigami. This is a projection of Senbonzakura's true form, and allows for Byakuya to perform a massive amount of training within it, allowing him to work on mastering his zanpaktou in many ways, which has led him to the many differing techniques he has developed for it.

Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance :



The zanpaktou's sealed state is not that unusual; it looks just like a simple katana. However, it has an extremely ornate design; clear from the blue color around the hilt and the well done craftsmanship around the hilt. The blade itself is nothing special to look at; although Byakuya takes loving care of it when he is not using it.

Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities:



Extremely Sharp
Byakuya's zanpaktou, even when sealed, is extremely sharp. It can cut through soul chains when he moves fast enough, disabling someone's potential as a Shinigami forever in one attack. This is just a testament to how unbelievably sharp his zanpaktou is, one that could even cut through the massive being known as Zommari and deal a fatal blow.

Among The Fastest
Byakuya is an extremely, extremely proficient user at Shunpo, striving to rival even the fastest in the Omnitsuko with his speed. Most of the time, his speed alone is enough to keep up with some of the fastest beings in existence. His shunpo is able to be used dozens of times in rapid succession, a precursor of his Zanpaktou's ability.

Senka
This technique is a special Shunpo attack that makes the user move an extremely high rate of speed, one where his opponent may or may not even see his approach. However, the attack itself happens in two places; striking mortally through the opponent's rib-cage and stomach, stabbing all the way through from both sides at once, even though the opponent may not even know from what direction they were attacked. This attack aims for the soul's Chain Binding and Soul Sleep, effectively making it so that the shinigami or arrancar can never wield a Zanpaktou again, as they are cut off from their Zanpaktou spirit and have their reiatsu drained from their body.

Utsusemi
This is yet ANOTHER special Kidō technique which Byakuya can use. While this one may not particularly increase his speed or have any defensive uses, its purposes lie completely within defensive. When he's using this technique, Byakuya's body leaves behind an afterimage. However, this speed is so fast that reality itself is made a fool by it; as it still registers that the user is standing there. Therefore, up to two-three seconds after Utsusemi is used, the afterimage that Byakuya leaves behind can be attacked, damaged, even killed, taking physical damage. This allows Byakuya to dodge other techniques and fool his opponents, as well as to gain an opening against them.

Enhanced Endurance: While not having the most imposing appearance compared to other Shinigami captains like Kenpachi Zaraki, Byakuya is a very resilient fighter. During his fight against Ichigo, despite gaining severe injuries, Byakuya continued fighting effectively, even ignoring his wounds to the point where he seemed unfazed by them. At the end of the fight, he performed an impressive Flash Step to leave.

Extremely Intelligent



Byakuya is extremely intelligent; as he has been extremely well educated and often uses his common sense. He also knows how to use his intelligence towards fixing problems, using his resources properly so that the problem is fixed as soon as possible. He is very observant as well, having a high amount of focus; and can normally figure out the abilities of his opponent after seeing it only once or twice.

Kidō Mastery
While he may not be a grandmaster at its use, he is very well versed in the application of Kidō itself. He can fire extremely powerful Hadō and Bakudo with relative ease; stopping his opponents in their tracks and giving him powerful ranged attacks. He often uses his Kidō to allow him to quickly defeat his opponents, or deal them rapid damage in vital areas of their bodies.

Release:
Scatter, Senbonzakura.



Shikai Description:
When he releases Shikai, Byakuya's blade completely changes everything about it other then its hilt. The blade turns into 120 different fragments, which begin moving at insanely high speeds, beyond the realm of normal sight, leaving only what looks like a group of cherry blossoms in their path. The only remaining part that Byakuya keeps is the hilt.

Shikai Abilities:



Metnal Control
Byakuya's blades are typically controlled by the blade within his hand. This makes his petals move as a group all at one location. However, there is another way that Byakuya can use his mental control. He can guide his petals with his hands as well, which causes them to move at roughly three times their normal speeds towards their target.

Blades
The blades look just like a cloud of cherry blossom petals, which shoot towards Byakuya's opponents and strike them in several places all at once, designed to punish rather then kill. Of course, they could kill if he desired to; but he normally doesn't wish this, as it would be boring to simply kill someone with a single shot. In addition, his blades have a special property. They are extremely, extremely sharp, able to break most defenses that they run into, including Hierro, barriers, shields, and walls. It takes either a very fast eye or a very, very hard defense to get out of the way of Byakuya's blades.

Hurtless Zone

Byakuya abusing the crap out of his hurtless zone.

However, in an area 38 centimeters around Byakuya, the little blades cannot cut. This keeps Byakuya from being able to be cut with his own swords, although the opponent generally will not realize this. That is because whenever an opponent gets near him, Byakuya will fire off his blades at them as if they are a wall, keeping them from ever being able to discover this.

Release:
Senbonzakura, Kageyoshi




Bankai Description:


Byakuya's Bankai releases by him dropping his entire sword into the ground. This can include parts of his swords, or the entire thing all at once. However, he typically just drops the WHOLE thing in, causing a rippling effect as it falls into the ground, as if the ground below is made out of water. Then, on either side behind Byakuya, blades begin rising out of the ground. A grand total of two thousand of these massive blades appear, one thousand on each of his sides. Each giant blade transforms into about 10,000 of the razor-thin petals, so with nothing but his bankai release Byakuya brings about 2,000,000 of the little blades under his control. They are like a large swamp of petals, floating around him.

Bankai Abilities:




Methods of Attack
The little blades are controlled by either Byakuya's mind or his hands. When using his hands, the blades move roughly 3-6 times faster then they normally would, making them difficult to escape even by using Shunpo. These blades are used both offensively and defensively; able to perform both functions at the same time. Ultimately, Byakuya uses this in an attempt to quickly finish off his opponent, and has little reason why he would not activate it.

Hurtless Zone
Hurtless Zone carries on to his bankai; however, it is the only weakness of his Bankai's form, because as long as his opponent can remain within that area, they are unable to be cut by Byakuya's blades, making him unable to cut them with the blades when they are within that range of himself.

Special Forms
Senbonzakura, Kageyoshi is but the precursor to Byakuya's bankai. From the time they are summoned, he can use his petals in numerous ways, all designed at o assist him taking down his opponent.

Senkei



The "original" true form of Byakuya's bankai, this form transforms the petals into a massive amount of swords, six gigantic rings around him and the opponent. However, that is not the only thing which occurs. His swords set up a massive barrier around himself and his opponent, making it next to impossible for the opponent to escape, and forcing them to do one on one combat, which is Byakuya's specialty. It abandons all pretense of defense, giving its all to kill the opponent. The glowing blades hover all around Byakuya, and when he catches one, it loses its pink glow, changing into a shape resembling his sealed zanpaktou minus its hilt. However, this blade is roughly ten times sharper then his regular zanpaktou, and when in Byakuya's hands increases his physical prowess by 4-8 times just by holding one while he has activated Senkei. While in this sphere, Byakuya acts as he does with his sealed zanpaktou, although he is much more effective then before.

Shuukei Hakuteiken




The "Final" form of Byakuya's bankai, this is in reality his true bankai. This blade combines all of his swords and the power of all his blade petals into one sword, and the sheer amount of power creates massive wings on his back, along with a massive ring of energy behind him. These show just how much power he has at this point in time; as his body now has the capability to exert much more energy then ever before.

However, there is something more. The blade in his hands is made of puer power, so much that it is not possible to see the blade any longer. This blade, when it comes into contact with something, deals an absolutely massive amount of damage to the opponent, aiming to kill them with one shot. However, it is possible for Byakuya to perform extended use of his Shuukei Hakuteiken as well. While this would have been impossible for him four hundred years ago, he is able to do it now thanks to the training that he has been performing. He is able to use the blade like he does with his normal sealed blade, using the same fighting style and fighting mentality, able to create Byakurai that would destroy buildings and Sokatsui that would envelop entire city blocks in absolutely massive amounts of destruction.

Gokei



This is an alternate usage of his bankai, which splits the power within his petals. This splits the amount of them into roughly 1,000 petals each, changing the extremely powerful individual petals into simply powerful individual ones. This creates a grand total of two billion blades, which are so numerous they can form an entire building's size with petals, completely surrounding the target. However, this is not the only use for Gokei.

By combining this technique with Senkai, Byakuya can split all but the last row of blades into petals, creating 500,000,000 of the rose petals within the Senkai barrier, crashing them down onto an opponent and making it so that they simply are unable to flee from the destruction, in a penultimate attempt to destroy them.

Fainaru (Final)



This is Byakuya's currently final form of his bankai, gained in the four hudnred years since the battle with Ender. This form transforms his blades back into their pillars, before all shooting within Byakuya's hurtless zone. From there, when he reaches an opponent, any blows which Byakuya deals fires out over one million of his petals all at once, shooting for them at all sides and wishing to completley destroy them, reducing the number of petals by half to increase their speed by over twenty times, making them only able to be dodged by the very fastest, so fast that Byakuya can barely keep up with them even in Shuukei Hakuteiken.
