Artist: Massive Attack Song: Angel

These were the worst kind of days. The days spent doing nothing but overlooking the human continent of Europe, Germany. It was weird, however. Despite the fact that she would rather be doing something or hunting, it was strangely calming. And quiet, which was the main thing. Not a single peep of noise from a demon or anyone had came from the top of the mountain, it was as calm as ever. On top of this mountain? Sat Dragon Slayer, Nami Asthavon. The renown dragon hunter who had such a stellar reputation for losing control of her calm self during battle, was silent. Although, this was nothing out of the usual. Even if she didn't want to admit it, she preferred the silence of places like this. If she didn't like it, she wouldn't be here. Simple as that. Although, why was she here? It wasn't like she had any reason to stop hunting for dragons and different kinds of beasts to kill. She could have been spending this valuable time looking for opponents or enemies. Why? Why would a demon of her power and status not be looking for enemies to fight? It seemed weird. Dragon slayer wasn't like other demons, however. Throughout time, she had watched demons rush to their deaths for a meaningless battle that could have been prevented through many of means. But why waste your life like that? It was something unknown to her. She spent a lot of her time trying to figure out these things, trying to find the ways in which she can perhaps calm the world and only fight when it was necessary. Nami? The only times she entered battle was to kill. And even at those times, it would take a ridiculous amount of time for her to actually consider jumping into the battle. It's a very weird way her mind works, she keeps everything bottled up in side purely for the sake of her own well being, nobody cares about her. Not even her family. So why should she share that information that is stored within her head?

A soft was let out of the side of her mouth and face before returning her gaze to that in front of her. She scanned the area, eyes panning down over the currently cold human realm of Germany. She had spent a lot of her time wondering around here as a child, and for her to be here was rather surprising. It means that she came here to reminisce about her past life, before she was labelling herself as dragon slayer; when she was her young and stupid self. In Dragon Slayers hand laid a sword, resting softly in her palm and dangling out the end of her fingers. The blade was pure gold plated while the handle was pure black and wrapped up tightly with a cross guard where the blade meets the handle. The hand with the sword was dangling behind her as he sat atop the largest mountain in these ever expanding lands, simply letting her hand grasp the blade as she sat there limp. She closed her eyes momentarily, letting out a few deep breathes. She sat there silently, eyes opening back up to review the world. Today? Today was a calm day. "... Tired..."

Nami's eyes continued to flutter with hesitation, she could have fallen asleep at any moment here. With a flick of her wrist, she flipped the blade into her hand tightly and kept a expressionless face, standing up. Within a blink of her eyes, she leaped into the air above the mountain, drawing her sword close to her hip. Mid air, all that could be seen was a golden flash appear. This golden flash? Her sword strike. The sword strike from her blade drew out so quick, slashing the complete top of the mountain off, creating a flat, hardy surface with enough room for at least ten people to lay down on. Smirking, she slowly floated back down to the now cut off roof of the mountain, her feet landing softly against the rock hard mountain, blade resting yet again in her hand softly, dangling. She lowered her body to the floor of the mountain top and laid down, her arms falling by her side and her skirt ruffling up at the bottom and around her thighs. Her attire was a calm one, a tight corset strapped around her body and a black overcoat, almost like armour. "...Sleep..."

She stopped all motion for a moment, before reaching over for her Dragon Cleaver Blade, touching it, fading into a golden haze away from her body, now leaving her defenceless in appearance. She chuckled to herself as she then placed her arms behind her head, cradling her head softly, fingers running through it with a few strands getting knocked about. Silence... Was true bliss.

There was a place, far away; there was a presence there too. The wind flowed, mixed and never stopped the flow of time; in fact it gave the flow meaning, a place to be. On the wind, there was time; and in time, there was memories, development, death, life. All sorts of things gathered into a giant mix, a welding pot of emotions and desires, and more so? It was something that belonged to everything and everyone. Everyone began to move forward; and nobody could go backwards. That was a primary rule of life; for those that lived without end, they slowly understood that they were not moving forward.. but were standing still, and thus would never be able to become part of the world. The wind carried many secrets, even as the long black strands of the girl flowed like a river, dancing in the skies as she moved to the flow. The girl let herself be carried, letting the winds batter her soul, her being, her existence. She was adrift in time, something ethereal and fleeting, a flower that blooms but a moment before death. The girl had no idea where she was, as she felt her body twist and turn; this place was strange, new and she had not been here before. In fact, ever since she adapted the Iramasha power to Chaos Warp, she found herself almost unable to remain consistently in one place unless she consciously restrained herself. The girl let out a breath, as finally, she was released from the prison that she could not escape.

The girl's foot touched the ground, softly, as the long strands of black suddenly blew back into the winds that circled at high altitudes. Where was she? The first instinct was met with simple knowledge; a mountain. Without warning, the top came flying towards the girl; her eyes flashed, and it stopped. The girl didn't feel the need to chuck it elsewhere, and simply walked, trailing it behind her. It took her a bit, but she ascended the mountain, to discover the peak missing; her eyes, the color of blood, slid on the environment. What could have caused such a straight cut? The first answer was a sort; probably a big one. Considering how the top of a mountain was cut off, she could easily assume that it was with great strength and power. The girl softly let the peak down near by, having noticed a form on the previous peak's area. Sticking it there so that she didn't lose it, the girl approached the black form, the skirt of her school uniform bellowing slightly in the wind. Adjusting her red ribbon, and dusting her sailor suit, she continued her path, the long back strands moving in the wind sometimes. Yet she didn't speak; possibly because this was the aura of a demon before her. The girl simply walked over the mountain top, and sat down; near enough that the demon could reach out and grab her if needed, but not near enough to touch without extending.

The calmness that Shisome exuded was unique, as she simply opened her hands, a book falling in between them with no sound. The feelings of the demon were transparent, flowing through the girl; the appreciation of silence made Shisome comfortable, and unwilling to break that covenant. Without another sound apart from the whispers of the wind, the school girl began to read the book her hands. It was obviously of a demonic origin, but yet it did not feel evil in her hands. Shisome let herself relax, and just simply remained non-aggressive, and unwilling to break the silence. Why so? Why did a girl such as she be capable of remaining as such in a demon's presence? Anyone with sight would understand that this girl was young; extremely so, as she was not very tall either. There was that sort of innocent, childish look to her, as she quietly read the book, her alabaster skin almost abnormal; well rather, it was abnormal, but yet.. it seemed natural to the girl. Shisome knew that perhaps most would be curious as to the human girl's intent; and yet anybody keen enough would see within a second or two that there was more to her humanity then beneath the eye; for singular, fleeting milliseconds, one could see a different racial flash in her natural aura. A strange myriad of sources and energy.. just what exactly was Shisome now? Even she herself could no longer answer that question.

Because she herself no longer knew.

Laying there was calming. Not because of her mind was at ease or anything, her mind was far from that, but the silence around Dragon Slayer was such a different contrast to what life was normally like. Life, for the demon, was always so rowdy and loud. The silence that surrounded her? It was refreshing. This was one of the pleasures that Dragon Slayer had, silence. Although, in the world, with silence, eventually unfolded noise. But for the moment? It was calming and nice. Perhaps... these weren't the worst days after all, for Nami. After her constant running in with dragons, enemies and allies; she became drained of the silence and solitude she craved. For her, this current state of being? Being surrounded by silence? It was absolute bliss. Dragon Slayer's eyes continued to flicker, her eyes closing ever so slightly as she dozed off for a second, her eyes closing and a bit of drawl escaping from the side of her mouth. Within a few seconds, she awoke yet again, sucking up the drawl from the side of her mouth like a yoyo on a string. As she sucked it up, her eyes drew open from their closed state, her blurred scanning over to a seemingly small girl wandering closer and closer. Shit! Nami thought, readying to get herself up.

Her arms were drawn to her side, as she pulled her legs closer to her chest from laying down, using her core strength to flip up off the ground and into the air, before he knew it, the girl laid down right beside where she was now standing, a book in hands. A normal human girl... She obviously was different, otherwise she wouldn't have come here to investigate. So many thoughts run through her head, what should she do though? She stood there as the young girl began to read her book, simply an expressionless face covering Dragon Slayer. She had the audacity to walk up to a demon, lay beside them and keep such a silent tone in the same time? Who exactly was this girl? So casually wandering in... It was troublesome for her, despite no threat yet being perceived. Yet, Nami would not ask a single question to the woman; not daring to break the silence between the two, at least for now anyway. She was too interested in what she was doing here, and the fact that this girl seemed so care free around the infamous slayer of dragons. She thought to herself, what was the meaning behind this? After all, the only time people approached her was if they were going to kill her or if she was in some sort of danger, being approached by Mana, her sister, or someone of the likes to warn her. Nobody would dare to approach her with such a care-free attitude, so why does a little girl have the audacity to do so?

"..." Not a noise, but a single blank expression continued to cover her. She stared down at the girl as she began to read her book. Her skin was an interesting feature, too. It seemed rather distinct compared to other humans, a rather worrying concept if it did. Nami intently focused her eyes down onto the girl, not taking them off of her for a second. As she stared, something had changed. For a millisecond, a seemingly different aura had manifested itself before Dragon Slayer's eyes. Within the blink of an eye, Nami had disappeared from her location through Shadow Movement, appearing above the mountain now, a golden flash appearing as exiting the movement. In her right hand appeared a golden bladed sword, two handed, with a cross guard. Her skirt blew in the soft breeze, not even caring if the girl below could see up the skirt. Although, even then, she wasn't too high above the girl; only around ten feet or so. She stood there, gold two handed blade being held in one hand while no sound was made. Dragon Slayer had wondered if she was here for a reason or if she was actually intended on doing anything to attempt to hurt Nami, which could very easily end up being a fruitless endeavour. "H..."

A single tone echoed from Dragon Slayers mouth, something that was never heard when she was around other people. Perhaps she was just curious, or perhaps it was something more then that. But, she was the one who would initiate the conversation for once in her life, instead of the other way around. She was the recluse, the non-speaker. Such a thing for Nami to actually present her words and amazing voice first was such an uncommon thing. Perhaps this conversation would flow, but it also had the potential to die instantly. "Name?" The demon asked softly, not raising her voice too loud, and only just so that the girl below would be able to hear the intended words for her. The silence was broken, all that remained in the air was the wisp of wind and the echoing question Nami had proposed to the girl. If it came to it, and this girl was nothing more than a wandering warrior looking for a battle, then it would just end up in the girl being slain with the power that is capable of killing dragons. She stared down at her, still an expressionless tone shrouding her very being. She lowered from the sky, landing softly at the edge of the mountain and walked every so slowly towards the girl before her, quickly raising her Dragon Cleaving Blade to the throat of the individual, aiming to slice the book completely in half and threaten her without words, but action.

What would become of such an event? Who knew. This girl was beyond over her head if she was to fight Dragon Slayer, and for Nami to even consider fighting her would be a miracle. Simply, this was to bring up information. Not to get too comfortable with each others presence. For getting close to someone meant that it was possible to grow attached, and for a demon to have such emotion? That would only hinder her. There was no main goal in this. Friends were a hindrance, family was enough of a hindrance at that.

Shisome Saihossoku; KHS Class 1-S/Judgement ; Human; 5-1+

Enter The Adapting Doll
Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy

Even tough the other rose, Shisome still came close. In fact, she took it a step further; the human laid down even, showing a completely vulnerability to the demon beside her. In fact, Shisome could be called utterly neutral; she held no hate, no disgust, and most of all, no bad feelings towards demons, Arrancar or the negative races. Rather, she was curious about them, their nature and more so why did they end up on the paths they did. On reflection, the human noted how similar she and the demon looked; in fact, once could call them mirrors of each other. Both had long black hair, and piercing red eyes; and both had white skin. The other kept their covenant of silence; Shisome did not mind this, as she quickly was going through pages in the book. She was assimilating it once more, going through the book in order to let the din of her mind rest briefly; after all, Shisome had a great many voices in her head. The other focused on her with such intent, that Shisome could almost read her mind. In fact, the girl could read her emotions; curiosity, disbelief, guardedness. Such were emotions that flowed from the other girl, even as she stared intently at the black haired girl, as if.. as if trying to discern her secrets, her truths. Shisome understood that sort of gaze rather well, due to the fact that she herself had that gaze on many occasions; it was a second nature to the human, to look and analyze those that came near.

And without warning, the girl disappeared; the flash of gold caught Shisome's eye, as the girl's gaze then went towards the other. A sound; but yet not. It didn't break the silence, caught by the wind; however, Shisome when staring up, could see straight into the girl's panties. Though, that did not perturb the girl, for she had no knowledge of such things; or rather, she did, but no interest. The other was a mere ten feet, not a bit issue even though Shisome was not even half that height. She was truly child-like in appearance, even more accentuating the resemblance to a doll. Many found that eerie, but the girl did not mind. Her eyes, a deep blood red, stared straight up at the other girl, even as the silence was broken. For a moment, her eyes closed, and her answer was immediate. ''Saihossoku, Shisome.'' she answered, giving the custom of the family name first, and given name last. Both girl's voices had broken the silence; Shisome's at the same tone as the other, but with a delicate darkness that was neither evil, nor good. Total apathy; total neutrality. That's what the girl felt like, represented to many. The other girl had gotten her answer immediately, promptly, even as she approached, sticking the blade to the girl's throat; the book was cut in half, dissolving into demonic ashes. However, the ashes floated in the air for a moment, before they slipped towards Shisome's body, dissipating once more.

The girl didn't move, the blade's edge on the precious cusp of her throat; however in her eyes, there was no fear, no anger, not even resistance. There was a total void in her eyes, and the slow blinking movement became obvious. ''What of your name?'' she simply asked. Shisome debated on asking her to remove the blade, but that would only become necessary should the other girl refuse to do so on her own; however, the human doll's logic was certainly true. This girl had no friends; she held family but no close bonds. She was always guarded; this was what supported Shisome's budding theory. The fact she had threatened with no words, spoke once and did not bother to make a complete grammatical sentence made Shisome assume that this girl also had fought all her life. The elegance of her movements; the pure precision. This credited her intuition, as her eyes remembered everything. There was a sort of passive quiet; but the human held no fear. If she wanted to crush this girl for opposing her, there was the power to do so in mere seconds. But yet.. Shisome was not aggressive; nor would it serve her. In fact, this girl was possibly just like Shisome; and that in itself was interesting. She would definitely have to talk to this girl more, and to prove that she held no ill attention, bared her throat by tilting her head delicately up a few inches. To anyone, that was a sign of acceptance, surrender, submissiveness or maybe even just the lack of intent to fight the one before them.

But how would this strange demonic twin like girl take it? That made Shisome absolutely and utterly curious.

What a troublesome girl. That was all Dragon Slayer could think as she stood there, five foot eleven sword held out in one hand at the girls throat, completely slicing the demonic book in half, sending it instantly into a riff of reishi. This girl continued to get stranger by the second, although Nami's reaction had appeared to be completely rash and scared. All she did was walk up and lay beside the demon on the mountain, nothing more. So why did she become so scared? Why was it such a big deal for Dragon Slayer to act so defensive around her? In the experiences of the past, Dragon Slayer had been attacked by many of foes while she was attempting to catch some sleep or even perhaps catching her off guard for no reason, being forced to kill them. One of the reasons she did this against the girl? Nami is a very paranoid person. No matter the way it seemed, she always was sceptical about everything that had come into contact with her, she was even sceptical of her family most of the time. Although, they were the people she trusted the most. It was kind of weird, however. The people she cared about and trusted the most, she was probably the most sceptical of. Perhaps it was because these people had the ultimate ability to hurt her on an emotional scale, or it was the fact that they knew her personality so well and her habits, they could turn on her at any minute and kill her with their knowledge. Nami didn't know the answer to these questions or possibilities, so she just was paranoid about like in general.

Despite the fact her Dragon Cleaving Blade was raised to the young woman's throat, her expression didn't seem to change. That was weird. Why wouldn't it change? For all purposes, anyone else could have jumped a mile or been scared as hell if a blade that thick, wide and strong came flying towards them, splitting a book in half. Dragon Slayer titled her head back, eyes rolling down as her sword remained at the girls neck, and held her head there for a few moments as the girl expressed her name. Saihossoku, Shisome... That name... Nami felt like she had heard it before. She didn't know where, but she had heard it. There was a relatively calm tone in her voice and yet no hatred at the fact her book was cut in half by the large golden blade. Tilting her head towards the ground, her mouth let out a little sigh, her head tilting, still keeping the blade at the throat of the girl. What an interesting girl... That was the only thought that Nami could process right now. What a complex girl she was, like Dragon Slayer herself.

These girls... they seemed similar in a way. The only distinct feature that was different in the two were their eyes; Nami's being a viper yellow while Shisome's was a fierce red. These two? Well, they could probably very well be mistaken for sisters if there wasn't anyone there to tell them otherwise. They both had particular builds, and while Dragon Slayer was quite a bit taller than Shisome, they had a similar built. Petite, slender bodies. As she asked the question back for Nami's name, she hesitated for a moment. She thought about revealing her new name, although it wouldn't make sense. The only people who knew it were her family, and even then, Kagari, Strength and Mana were the only ones to officially know it. She stumbled, purely because she saw the girl as an extension of herself in appearance. She pulled the blade away from her throat, twirling it amongst her fingers, eyes closed and as she appeared to put the blade sheathed behind her back, it flashed into a golden aura to disappear from her location. The golden blade was no where to be seen any more, it was held off in another pocket dimension that came along with her power for storing her main weapons: her Dragon Cleaving Blade and her Hell Dragon Blade. "..." The movements of the girl were so very subtle, if not barely noticeable. Although, she was going to have to take drastic measure depending on what the intentions of this girl was. She gave off a weird aura, and the paranoid state of mind would eventually have to pass; at least for a moment.

"Dragon Slayer." Two simple words escaped from her mouth. For some reason, she felt calm with this girl here. She obviously wasn't here to fight Nami, nor was she here to pay any due attention to the minor details of race. She was simply here for the bliss of the moment, and the aura that surrounded this place. She still stood, though, looking down at the girl. For once, it seemed that she was asking all the initial questions. "What do you want? Your name sounds familiar." For Dragon Slayer to say these many words, it was normally never seen. It was a typical: kill them or leave, nothing beyond that. Although something about this girl intrigued her, and the name 'Shisome' had some sort of buoyancy in her mind. So, she would havr to do some more talking that she typically liked. To find the meaning behind this girl and perhaps take any action required based on her. Although, she felt comfortable around the girl. She didn't know why. She just felt at ease, like she could talk more without being judged. She still stood there, hand placed on her hip and an intent gaze flowing down at the girl. The next action she would take would depend on the answer to the posed question.

To the soul wandering all alone
Shisome Saihossoku; KHS Class 1-S/Judgement ; Human; 5-1+

Enter The Adapting Doll
Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy

Shisome could feel it; the fear, the defensiveness, the paranoia. The girl was letting their feelings become one; they were syncing, as Shisome was adapting to the girl already, letting the girl inside of her, all over, and just invade the girl's very being. It was a beautiful thing, so most would think, that the girl could easily absorb others into her like that; a beautiful gift that allowed her to become close to anyone she choose, regardless of whom they were. She was a guarded castle; and Shisome was at the gates, ready to push open the door even with the pelt of rain. There was always something about the black haired girl; perhaps how she remained calm and quiet, or perhaps how she felt simply familiar in many ways; few would truly understand the entirety of the meaning of who Shisome was to them. But it was true; she always drew people to her in some way; there was always something that caught people's eye about the girl. But therein so far? Nobody had dared to see the true potential; not that it bothered the pale skinned girl, her eyes almost reflecting blood, shimmering with nothing but knowledge, and a curiosity that seemed to invade her very soul; she wanted to know this girl a bit more, to understand what exactly was this demonic woman. In fact, she felt familiar; the demonic brace that Shisome could associate with only one presence; that one she had felt at Madness City.

That presence was still in her mind; though Shisome wasn't sure if she was just remembering it, or if she actually adapted it. Rather that made her mind spin with the actual implications; she had, after speaking with several people, finally understood whom had been there. Therefore.. that very assumption.. it made Shisome think heavily about this meeting. The blade at her throat did not inconvenience her in the least; she didn't like nor dislike the feeling of the blade. In fact, by the emotions of the girl before her, Shisome understood this blade was not in hatred; it was in self-preservation. Perhaps.. she wasn't. That theory was swimming in her head, but she knew not enough to truly uncover the truth; therefore it would remain locked in her head, unspoken, and untouched until time provided more evidence. From snake to blood, it was pretty clear that was a difference; a couple inches however, wasn't as important as a difference. But Shisome felt she was looking in a mirror; it was strange, as the thought of that mirror was of someone powerful. Shisome was no fool; she knew that this person held deep amounts of power. The flash of the golden blade, as it twirled, moved away from a point of threat; and gone, the feeling of it disappearing. Yes, Shisome was understanding this girl already; the very thought of how they were binding, their very beings almost the same, seemed to spur Shisome unusually; there was a tightness in her chest, pressing on her heart.

That was unusual, she noted, as the girl gave a name that was no name but a title; Dragon Slayer. But the girl could understand from the panicked fear that drove the girl to live; if she had another name but the one she had convinced herself with, then it was a name that was not yet used to, or confident enough in yet. ''My name sounds familiar? Perhaps I have been making my way known; I am not sure how, considering I am a High School Student at Karakura Town.'' she said simply, her black hair shifting. ''Although, things of note are perhaps Madness City, but I haven't entered the place. Otherwise.. I'm not sure. And I don't know why I'm here; I am unstable with some abilities you see, regardless of how well adapted they were. So I just found myself here, much to my dismay. But it seems to be a peaceful place; and thus, I choose to rest here. Though, dislocating the top of the mountain was perhaps unneeded; but it made a strangely comfortable place. If I disturbed then I ask your pardon; I am not one to disturb.'' she said, her words flowing smoothly, answering the question with every detail that was necessary. She wasn't one to speak for long either; however, this was describing a situation with the threat of not necessarily death, but harm in the air. That was something that would require a full, complete answer; and that included thoughts that Shisome had during the explanation.

''But you need not fear me, Dragon Slayer. If death were to be meted out by my hand, it would not come in the form of disrespectful trickery.'' Shisome's tone continued. Basically, she had clarified a point of common paranoia; attacks during moments of weakness or from behind, or tricks. Shisome was no such woman, unless the opponent she faced started first. She was an honourable fighter; even though she still wondered how she learned to fight, trying to block the toying within her mind from that thing. Though the familiarity of her name.. where could such a person have heard it? This confused the girl, as she was quite unaware of how quickly she was becoming known in things; after all, she had met some important figures, from both sides, and more so, she had began to make herself know through things like the intervention at Mount Fuji, and well, the upcoming Skyfall tournament. But her presence in Germany was of random coincidence.. or was it? The girl felt her heart leap, as she knew perhaps, the girl would ask her what she was. It was a common question, as her aura was human, but also many other things, including demonic and holy energies.. which made anyone curious if they could sense it. But the doll like girl knew that something may happen; there was still that nagging theory, that dug through the girl's mind, like a worm trying to chew it's way out of a box.

It was there.. but it held no ground or power until allowed to.

This continued to get interesting. These two who had never seen, heard or even been mentioned in the same sentence before were standing before each other, spilling out information to each other like it was nothing but child's play. These two were very interesting together, both of them were so very unique in their own separate ways. Yet, they connected on a level that was beyond anything that normal humans or demons could posses. Dragon Slayer was the quirky, subtle, silent type; while Shisome was the outgoing, calm almost seemingly recluse. Not that any of this was bad, in fact it made the pairing between the two more enigmatic. At any rate, Nami was interested in the mind of Shisome. She was different than most other humans, you'd have to be an idiot to not notice that she was different than most. The Royal Asthavon would have to find time to investigate more into this individual, after all there was something that was interesting; yet she couldn't pick out what. Even after she had sliced the book clean in two, she had not even nudged and inch, even while her near 6 foot blade was shoved at her throat, not a single reaction. Nothing but a sigh and talking. She had no fear, yet Nami was full of it. Something that came naturally to the demonic side of her, she thought to herself. After all, when people approach her; it was usually they wanted to kill her or get at her for the Asthavon family. She had every reason to be on her toes.

Yet, here they were. Her golden blade had flashed back into it's portable dimension and it had finally cooled down upon the area, the tensions loosening it's grip upon the throats of these two people. The girl before Nami spoke rather interestingly, she had a nonchalant attitude shrouding all around her; yet it was something that was quite haunting in a way. Yet, it was something that Dragon Slayer loved in people. She loved studying the tensions that can be caused by people's emotions clashing, the different reactions and emotions that can explode from their bodies if they effected in some way. It was an interesting trait, and Nami found a rather large knowledge of people's emotions in that regard. What ticked them off, what threw them off guard, made them reckless, emotional, cry, tired or whatever the emotion may be, Dragon Slayer was good at playing on those strings of the heart during the phew times she spoke. However this seemed different for the girl before the royal Asthavon; she seemed to be changing towards many of the situations she was faced with, adapting. And even then, the girl had proved, through her words, that there was a certain unstable essence to her power. That there was not only a powerful meaning to her, but something that could explode at any given minute if she wasn't careful. Perhaps that was something that Dragon Slayer wanted to study, or perhaps it was something that could be related to that of a dragon; and if it was? that could become quite problematic for both of them. As Nami hunted the dragons, taking their power centre for her GOD form. She doubted this, though. To run into someone who utilises the power of dragons so randomly would be folly and unlikely.

As the blade flashed away, Nami's vision shifted to Shisome. She looked at her, scanning her from head to toe. She could tell through the words that she spoke, that "If death were to be meted out by my hand, it would not come in the form of disrespectful trickery." So she imagined she could relax for the time being. Although, she had chopped the top off the mountain, there was no where else to go but lay down. She could have run off, that is true, but why would she do that? After all, she wanted to study everything about Shisome. The difference between the two girls was that one had red eyes and the other yellow, otherwise? These two could possibly be mistaken for twins or even sisters. If she could, Nami was to avoid hurting this girl with every chance she got. She reminded Dragon Slayer of someone who could very well fit into the Asthavon family as a sister, despite being a human. "What are your powers, then? You mentioned that they're unstable." She was speaking rather fluently despite her cold and shy attitude, also referencing to Shisome as rather friendly as opposed to her normal cold attitude. Although she was interested, perhaps even making her first proper friend with Shisome. Or, this could very well end in Dragon Slayer betraying her, leading her to a false sense of security and bringing her to demon world. See, that was the thing about Nami. She could turn rogue and kill her allies in a second if she so wished. Why would she do so? She doesn't even know. A change of heart, a shift in her emotions, anything. The only people that she wouldn't betray would be her own family; so to be one with her is technically a safe-pass into a alliance with Dragon Slayer.

"What's a 'human' like you waltzing up to a member of the Asthavon family, anyway? Doesn't your race hate my very being? You're not truly human, are you?" She was curious as to this. After all, she had come out of nowhere, waltzed right up to Dragon Slayer without a moments warning and laying down beside her. That type of attitude could really get a young girl like her killed if she wasn't careful. Although, she would simply wait for the reaction of this girl. Nothing big had happened within these passing moments, nothing drastic. That would be decided upon later depending on the reaction of Shisome. Following her words, Nami would simply begin to lay down, bending her knees and cracking her neck softly; laying down onto the cold, freshly cut mountain top, looking up into the sky as the clouds passed quickly by, the wind knocking her hair in a thick of knots. Calmness was ensured, here.

Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy

The two were like a puzzle to each other; and both were struggling to solve the equation rapidly. However, in that case, Shisome more then likely had the lead; her gaze, blood red rubies, was easily different from the golden quartz fields of the other; and yet the rest of their beings were similar, as if she was staring at a her that could have been. A self that could have become, if the right influences were done right; Shisome could acknowledge that, as she was still unafraid; in fact, the majority of the emotions that were volleying in the area were Dragon Slayer's own. That was relatively the fact that shone in her eyes; easily, simply, she had become a part of the other girl's presence, as if not a stranger, but a piece of herself. It was perhaps frightening to many others, but despite that, Shisome knew this one was more curious; she could feel it in the other, building, swirling, as if she was seeking. The name in itself made sense; the girl that could have seemed from the fantastical side of the lore just let her gaze meet the other's perfectly. But Shisome was no dragon; if anything, she was a delicate butterfly, whom's wings could begin the winds of a calamity. The other girl seemed to have understood Shisome's inference at the mention of powers; the girl knew that more then likely, her very being wasn't quite that strong compared to many. And yet, that's where their mistakes would always lie; judging on the initial burst of power.

And that was why the girl, Dragon Slayer, spoke to her, curious about her powers. But yet, Shisome had an inkling that it was not over; and briefly after, the woman spoke once more, elaborating on her statements. For a single moment, a self-derisive smile touched the girl's lips. Indeed, was she even human any longer? Did she have a right to live here, in the human realm, although she was no longer such but in name and base? Where was her worth to be lain, where was her destiny to be obtained? These things were a spike in her mind, particularly considering how many powers she had begun to adapt. The girl had begun to lay back down, and Shisome followed her, the two almost side by side; not touching, but Shisome's body was more outwards, as if not necessarily protecting, but making a barrier between offending parties. ''So firstly, my theory was indeed correct; I had sensed that your energy had familiar traces in it. I do have to say, I've had the pleasure to sense an Ashtavon's energy before; perhaps you know of this, such a thing happened at Madness City. I do believe that it was the Demon Queen's energies, but I never entered the city to confirm. The similarities between yours and her own energies were easily read; therefore, the only one that I had knowledge of such a type was the supposed Mana encounter.. however, you confirmed that by assigning yourself to the family.'' she said.

''But take my words not as an offense; I was merely presenting the fact that my theory was correct.'' she added afterwards, leaving moments of silence, as she thought of the things she had yet to say. Shisome had an easy pace of speech; it was getting her to that point that was often the challenge, but she always had interesting things to say. Her eyes caught a great many things that many would discard, and her very being was perhaps a little different. ''As for your questions; I will answer the last one first.'' she had started, notifying that it may take a while. For Shisome never left explanations half-made; she always did the best she could for others to understand. ''I am perhaps no longer human due to my own abilities. To clarify such, as so far as I assumed, my ability is adaptation. I simply am able to understand, and thus create my own version of other's capabilities. But this seems to have done so not only for unique, specific powers but relatively concepts of people, including their races. Thus, my own human existence is fragmented within the many other existences that do reside in me now.'' she began, her voice soft, as she knew that perhaps this girl would take the information, and create something horribly with it. However, Shisome did know one thing; she was a completely neutral person thus far, having no inclination to either sides of good or evil.

''And thus, I am perhaps obligated to tell you, that I support neither evil, nor good. I am perfectly neutral; to me, the side of which one is on does not matter. My bond with that person is what I find most important; so as such, if I were to defend those that are good, whom I care from, from those those of evil whom I do not, then I have no remorse. Reversed situations are also valid. My race and such have no bearing into my own mind; I had no knowledge of this other realm until a little while ago, when I began exploring it. And my knowledge is still incomplete; I refuse to pick a side other then my own in such a theological conflict.'' she said, continuing. Her speech was surprisingly long, but her silences were as such too; in fact, it often seemed like Shisome was truly an odd person, as she knew when to speak, and yet she choose not to sometimes. ''My powers are unstable in the fact that I have not obtained all of them within a functional format; I still have yet to truly balance all of my powers. Some of them are well adapted and suited to my own person, such as powers of the mind that I have gained from the likes of Shadin Yuudeshi, and Kakeru Leonhardt. Others however, like the Iramasha Clan's Chaos warp, or Stefan Soan's Voids are a bit out of my expertise and thus require more time for me to master.''

The girl knew she had dropped important names right there; in fact, that would make interest peaked. She knew that Shadin was well-known; that was a fact. Kakeru Leonhardt was an upcoming Suigura, that was slowly getting a foot hold into the world as it was. However, the last name was truly significant; Stefan Soan was the leader of the Monsuta, an ally of Shadowfall. Considering that Shadin was good, Kakeru was neutral and Stefan their ally, it truly showed that the girl held no consideration with such things as races, ideologies, theologies or even attitudes. She simply was agreeable with everyone, and yet, she understood that such a thing would not always happen. The book that had been sliced was clearly demonic in nature; and the mentions of these people brought up another importantly burning question. How many had she adapted? Even the girl was uncertain at this point, preferring to use some key abilities over others. But the doll like human understood something or the other about keeping others away; the admission to her powers was simple. It was easy to understand by anyone with a margin of power; she was powerful and yet she had not completely mastered them.. therefore, she had to drive everyone away in the goal of keeping them safe. It was a sordid way to be, as she always had to walk alone, and always has to push others away.

But would a girl such as this Dragon Slayer, this Asthavon, be able to handle such a concept? Or would she turn away like many others have as well?

Artist: Massive Attack - Song: Karmacoma - Word Count: 1130

The silence the covered this area was something beautiful, not destructive or abusive, but silently beautiful. This was the kind of aura, the kind of presence that could haunt the very souls of humans. Yet silence, to these two people, was nothing but pure brilliance, the calming aura of nothing but two voices conversing and the cool whip of the wind high up upon the flat mountain top. For Shisome to keep Nami's interest like this was rather impressive, there was no way she would normally have kept her in such a interested, talkative state. The words that Nami expressed to the girl before her was something that was normally found to be extremely rare, and even then, when she was about to kill someone it was so rare that she was going to express her thoughts or ask questions. So why did she do it to this new, weird, human girl? She was really no different than any other person Dragon Slayer that came into contact with. Perhaps it was because of her abilities, perhaps it was because she was in a secluded place with no other person around; yet she felt some sort of connection to Shisome. Some sort of feeling like there was a prior relationship between the two. Although there was was something that many people failed to realise about Dragon Slayer, that no matter the relationship she has with someone, be it a temporary ally-ship or a long term friendship, if her mind changed or her objectives changed, she could very simply turn on them and cut them down with her blade, as long as she fulfilled her objective; and the same could very well be said for Shisome before him.

Yet despite this, she laid there. Her ears perked and listening in to the plethora of words that the doll-like girl before her was spurting. She talked a lot, something that Nami didn't find a lot in people. She prefered people who were silent, like the aura around them - yet for some reason she was sitting there finding it rather comforting. The comfort of nothing but a solid young voice drowning out the silence and calm wind that snapped forward and backwards over the area. Yet, she was surprised by the girl before her. Her analysis abilities seemed to be rather well composed, she managed to draw together Mana's reiatsu as well as Dragon Slayer, and draw a connection between the two; be it family or sisters, she had the right idea. Normally she wouldn't have given her last name to an enemy, or supposed enemy. She was an Asthavon, she was proud of that fact, but to express it to people was a dangerous move. It was dangerous in the fact it could very easily get her killed if expressed to the wrong person. Although, around this girl? She figured it was safe. Yet her first name would remain silent; there was no need to express her name to anyone but her sisters in the Ashtavon family mainly being Mana, Strength and Kagari.

"Souka..." She laid there, now raising her arms behind her head; slipping her fingers into the strands of her hair, her left hand softly resting and brushing off dust that accumulated on the black crown. Her head titled over to Shisome, eyes scanning her as her mouth continued to run on and on over the use of her abilities and if she was a human or not. Despite not caring for others much at all, she really did care quite a bit as to what she was talking about. She smiled softly, still listening intently. Adaptation? Adaptation was her ability? What an interesting concept it was to Dragon Slayer. And despite this, she took nothing that Shisome said as offence. She said not to take her words as offence, yet there was no need to hurt in her words. That wouldn't make sense, after all there was no reason to be mad at such words. That was another thing that struck Dragon Slayers interest about Shisome, she was so calm and un-allied in her words and relationships that was like Nami. She didn't have allied ships with good or evil, she was a neutral party, a neutral person to sit there and talk about every person, despite being enemies, like they were friends. How did that come to someone? To treat everyone like they were friends? Nami did the opposite, she would always be hesitant around people. Even friends, she was hesitant. Yet this girl walked up like it was nothing but child's play to be around Dragon Slayer - one of the strongest Asthavon, let alone demons, to ever exist. Yet she just walked up to her - not a care in the world and started talking casually. What was with this girl?

"Hmph. Interesting." Her abilities weren't fully developed, yet she gave off such a frightening aura to Dragon Slayer. Perhaps it was Nami's nature to be protective and paranoid, but it was still weird. The initial aura that she gave off was quite frightening, and that flash of demonic being was another thing that Nami had to take into account. Dragon Slayer would simply listen in more, before making her following statements. "You really are adapting to every situation rather well. Perhaps that's something the demon world could use to it's advantage, or Mana at least." An initial thought crossed her mind, she sat there, that smile not on her face any more. Cracking her knuckles, she stood up, simply standing and letting the wind blow through her hair and clothes, knocking her battle skirt and hair around. Raising her right hand, a golden flash would appear instantly, yet again returning that golden blade to her hand. Twirling the sword around in the air like it was nothing but a feather, she swung it towards Shisome's neck, stopping before it made contact. Her golden eyes scanned down to Shisome, looking deeply into her red eyes. She didn't want to hurt the girl, perhaps Shisome could even notice this from Dragon Slayer. Yet the interests in taking the girl back to demon world was far more superior to anything that could be considered a friendship. Tapping the hilt of her sword with her finger, her eyes kept focused on the girl. "Get up."

Her voiced trembled coldly, she didn't like what she was doing; yet she thought about her sisters. Mana... she wanted to bring this girl to her. If there was some sort of use for her, not to Shadow Fall but to Mana herself, she would do anything to keep her alive and her goals controlling the world. Dragon Slayer herself wasn't 'evil' as per say, she was neutral with the interests of helping her sisters.

Enter The Adapting Doll
Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy

After speaking, Shisome returned to her silence. She disliked speaking in such long times, but her passive red gaze was perhaps drawing; one figured that the doll like girl held some sort of draw to people. There was a sort of energy that always made people want to take her away; why? Shisome had no idea; was it her powers, her very being? It was an incomplete analysis; she held no idea as to why her entire person was desirable. Shisome also knew that many held some sort of fear; but there was something else that became inherent to the girl. And that was, simply, the fact that she held nobody in close regard. She was a person of distance; none had found the refuge inside of her heart, but many had come close. And yet, she lived for no one but her own sake. That was a dangerous line; she could gain everything, and yet gain nothing. She was free and away from others; there was no binds to tie her down. And yet, she herself had bound her very being, chained it to her solitary existence; a path that she walked only of her own will, and never following the wills of others. That's why she had left her caretaker; and that's why she had left Moonie to wander elsewhere. The thirst of knowledge, the ever present curiosity was the very reason Shisome left the nests that many gave to her. She was held by nothing; by none, and least of all, by the mentality of others. That's why she was dangerous.

She was just as likely to abandon you then take you in and heal you. She had no qualms in what she had to do, if it was for her sake. It was an inherant selfishness that was perhaps not really selfishness, but an understanding of how she was placed in the world. The girl before her seemed to be intrigued, having made several noises and words that could be identified with thought and interest. To Shisome? After elaborating so much of her powers, her connections, and even more so her placements, she would easily draw the next conclusion. In fact, the girl expected it; it was like if someone had revealed they held control over nuclear powers, back before these powers were wide spread. People would crowd, kidnap, take, and curry favour; it was all on their personaliyt. Shisome wasn't sure, but to her theory, considering how little the girl spoke, it was that this other, this demon, thought a lot of the same lines as Shisome. Therefore, she would not try to curry favour; knowing that she was related to Mana meant that this was a powerful being, and thus could just take by force what was needed. That was more then likely what would happen next, according to her theory; to take her and bring her to her sister, mother, daughter; whatever was their relationship, Shisome would be brought forth to the Queen of Demons.

That was the logical conclusion, since Shisome was literally a secret weapon; how did no one realize this, was almost beyond her. Did they not know what a powerful weapon she could be, during this war? Or did just no one knew the full extent of her powers, to say the least. The blade of the other moved through the air; Shisome knew that she would not die, for there was no killing intent. When the blade stopped near her throat, the girl simply moved her head, and then stood. Dusting off her skirt, she looked very human for that single moment; but yet.. she had returned to a doll like state, her red eyes looking like glass jewels. ''I assume that I will be taken with you, yes?'' she said simply, not even afraid. Perhaps this person could kill with the change of mentality, but as of this moment, her loyalty was to mana. Demons were, in mythology, rumoured to be tricksters, and fickle of alliance. However, that also proved how much it was of a testament to Mana's very own power, that the demonic Queen still ruled over her people. Shisome was perhaps ignorant of some details, of course, but since her encounter with these beings.. she to begin research on her powers. And she found that her powers were completely unique; that was perhaps the worrisome thing about this situation. There was no one like her, absolutely, that ever chanced to be, in this entire world that was kept in the books and internet.

That was perhaps why she figured she was precious. Her neutrality; the very fact she held no fear towards good and evil; the very fabric of things she could unravel. Just who was she, to hold such power? This bothered the girl, but she had to keep her emotions soothed; she had lost control once or twice, and both times had gotten pretty dangerous. There was no excuses for losing herself to the overwhelming strength inside of her. ''Most would have said I have spoken to much.. it is very tiring to speak very much. But I shall go along with whatever you wish to do with me, if only by the virtue that you are yourself, and not a puppet.'' she spoke frankly, cleanly. But she didn't want to speak more, so she left it at that; what was the use of speaking entirely too much, and then find herself with a dry throat? She knew she would adapt to the demon world; there was no issue with that, as the girl simply undid the scarf at her throat, before beginning to remake it. More or less to compensate for what was going to happen next, perhaps. But that was not really the worry either; Shisome was logically trying to sound out the meeting with the Demon Queen. However, she had no information other then general rumours to fall back on; so the girl could not simulate a meeting easily.

That was worrying to her, considering that it made her a wild factor.. so she would have to be ready to use whatever skills she has at her disposal to escape or counter an attack should one arise. That was in itself the problem; she would become exhausted very quickly, and thus that might harm her.. but Shisome held some faith. Perhaps this Dragon Slayer would not let the girl die so easily. Or perhaps it was wrong to call it faith; perhaps part of the girl felt.. linked? To this woman. If only she could access her family's history.. there had been a suspicion that demons had been involved in her family before. Well, those suspicions were simply that; and as such? The girl would just have to observe and analyze the next few events in order to determine the future. After all, there was no future set in stone, as time itself was ever changing, flowing towards new paths. Each choice was a new future; the possibilities were endless. Meeting Okabe Rintarou had provided that to her mind, as she knew she would possibly see minor distortions in a story line if she concentrated hard enough. But that was not a power to be used lightly; it was harmful to her mind to use such powers so freely. She just had to be careful.. then again, everything in her life called for caution, and she met them with the unbreakable wall of her mind. She didn't even question the other girl about why the sudden change. Many would have; and Shisome was just not one of them. She had already known. So all that was left.. was to continue the events that had been set in motion with this meeting, and to see what lay in the end of this path.
