» Appearance Description: Jack is a young, caucasian male standing 5'6, unsually short for a local Australian, but that is due to his parents' immigration into the country from the United States of America before his birth. A rambunctious boy at the cusp of his youth, Jack has shaggy, wild black hair that is usually sheared to an absolutely manageable level (and that's it!). Although this occasionally blocks the never-dimming determination in his coal-black eyes, it is usually all about in every direction. Without a doubt, his most memorable feature is his smile. An asbolutely permanent grin is plastered on his face that can only be described as “shit-eating”, UNLESS he is smiling an an absolutely smug fashion.

His sun-tanned skin is generally caked in dirt and grime, but can occasionally be scrubbed to a white-brown. This will also reveal the obscene amount of scars and nicks has body has acquired. Because he is not a weatherman, he dresses in a strange combination of layers for any particular field of casual weather, and even some extreme ones. This includes a half-vest, orange, that can have further sleeves and whatnot zipped on when it gets cold, as well as an athletic shirt underneath it, blue. A pair of gray gi pants and matching black and white boots and vambraces.

» Personality: Jack is all about the adventure. He seeks thrills in life like a true adrenaline junky. This attitude exists as a means to a final end, which is to learn knowledge. The young Taylor's number one philosophy is to experience life first hand in order to understand it to a maximum degree. Beneath the attitude of a hormone-ridden goof, Jack possesses a very mature subconscious that drives him, and anyone who has taken a high school psychology class seriously would realize that he has a very anchored view on life. Incredibly objective, Jack must view the situation with him both in and out of the picture before deciding on a course of action, generally choosing whichever will benefit the most, rather than just one particular individual. Sometimes, this will lead to Jack choosing to perform something rather illegal, which is not out of the question.

Choosing to live by his own hand, Jack has no qualms with acquiring whatever he needs to acquire through whatever means possible. This includes thievery, cunning rhetoric, or even guerilla warfare. Despite this, he seems the sort of guy that couldn't figure his way out of a wet paper bag. If given the opportunity, he will act the invalid and become a parasite on whatever soul is unfortunate enough to be latched upon. In particular, these incredible post-urban survival skills are used for the accumulation of not currency, but food, shelter, personal accessories, and anything that are entirely useful without needing to be exchanged first. In addition to that, Jack's lack of boundaries in the shame department are paralleled in his selflessness, where he will share with basically anyone who asks them, and will work even harder in acquiring more resources for whoever is a part of his party.

» Background: Jack Taylor was born to Emily and David Taylor, a young couple that had just moved to Ballarat, Australia a couple years after their marriage, conceiving the boy on their honeymoon. He attended sunday school every week, joining youth choir and church groups in the summer. Instead of spending time outside in street gangs or with other hoodlums his age, he enjoyed studying for a great career in medicine and, eventually, as a professor for a university. Maybe even the university his own child would graduate from, someday. If he was lucky.

At least, that's what his parents wanted for him. It took until he was 11 before he realized it, and even then, it took another six months to escape. He chose his wardrobe based on the various climates available on the concentrated continent of Australia, selected few choice pieces of gear that were light weight, easily transportable, and as versatile as possible. With them, he set off. His initial journey consisted of sleeping in wooded and plains areas, constructing shelters from his surroundings. The initial learning period for these things was very difficult, and several times, he feared he wouldn't make it. However, the long-time engraved morals in his head didn't allow for him to utilize his full potential.

One night, during a thunder storm in which his shelter was struck by lightning and he almost died in the resulting fire, Jack decided that the world was too hard for morals at his current state, and he had no choice but to relax a few ethical restraints in order to survive. The next few years saw a massive increase in the danger level of Jack's life. His various attempts to mug, rob, steal, and con led to various sticky situations, even a run in with the supernatural that he didn't recognize. It wasn't until he was 14 that he first truly recognized the supernatural, when he was hunted by a Hollow for a particular relic he stole.

Doing the only thing he could do, he returned the relic and ran for his life. Since then, he has been trying to adapt to his newfound spiritual awareness and attempting to awaken his own spiritual abilities. Unfortunately, his power has not yet achieved that level. Until then, he will continue to train and prepare himself for the day when it comes. A few months after turning fifteen, war in his hometown broke out, and he has been fighting for simple survival once again in the hardcore life and death arena that is the streets.

» Human Capacities: Ability to percieve spiritual constructs with all senses (touch and see ghosts, etc).

Survival instincts and the ability to use the bare minimum of any resource at maximum efficiency for ultimate output. Hunt for food, create shelter, start a fire with wood and friction. Basic and advanced cooking skills (as a hobby).

Incredible mathematic skill used to build equations for daily life use. Can see four or five moves ahead in most situations.

Cunning and sly capabilities. Able to act with enough skill to convince one of any story. Very creative when constructing elaborate ruses and schemes.

» Equipment/Weapons: Signature Weapon: A large, sharp kitchen knife that looks like it's more suited to butchering pigs.

Other Equipment: A lighter, some rope, and a bi-strapped pouch to hold whatever else he finds made out of a stretchy material he keeps around on his back.
