It was sudden and was narrowly escapable, the demon comes at her with the speed of a bullet, the speed that is very difficult to dodge. Yuu's eyes are wide open as she knows that there is no time to dodge it. Throughout the headbutt, Eric could see a flash of light before he could see Yuu flies backward and falling off the rooftop. There was a series of sounds related to a pack of meat falling onto metal railing before a loud crash in the distance. While falling off the rooftop, Yuu had slammed into two fire escape scaffoldings multiple times before slamming onto the lid of a dumpster, causing it to cave in under her body. Through her strong endurance and a special feeling of having some people counting on her to defeat the dangers before her, Yuu gets up and heaves herself out of the dumpster with bruises in several places of her body, though hidden by her attire, but her face remains clean because of her control over the reishi around her was just quick enough to cushion most of the impact by Eric's headbutt, but not enough to stop it fully as during the fall, Yuu was stunned by the headbutt and the surprise that it arrived with. The stun continued until five seconds after smashing into the lid of the dumpster.
When Yuu gets her bearings straight, she shouts up to Eric, "That's a solid hit there! How about I crank it up a notch?" With a single deep breath, she crouches down and a loud bang is audible as Yuu rockets back up to the rooftop. As if telegraphed, Yuu can see him trying to spit in her direction. This time, she is ready as Eric spits out a loogie of lava at her left side. Due to her familiarity with her bodily senses, she feels a tingling on her left hand, prompting her to move it out of the lava spit's path, causing the lava spit to land on the wall of a nearby building. With a flick of her left hand, she creates a wave of reishi at the lava spit, causing it to rapidly cool down and not cause further damage to the building. Yuu comments, "Dragon spitting? Ew, you need to lay off the salsa there, buddy." After the spitting, Eric says, "Awwwww, Really feminine come on now you have some nerve talking like that when I know who you might be so let's cut the bullshit already. This is my last good hunt for demon things and these azure gems rivaled the ones that myself and Hanako were hunting for which were the demonic runes. Anyone who collects all six of them would get a wonderful gift and I have three and new demon artifact to research maybe another blood stone. Because blood stones really do a number on iramasha powers crippling them damn that woman for taking that from me doesn't matter to me what this new thing is though benefit or not."
While he is speaking, Yuu was building up her dark reiatsu to the point that it is becoming a pillar of oily gaze of the abyss with deep violet sparks of glow. While high in the air, the reiatsu spreads out and looms over Eric's head, quickly turning from day to darkness where only the purple wisps serve as something close to closely dying lanterns. It was not long before the floor gets a good coat of oily darkness while Eric is also affected by the raining oil from above. The only dry spot would be a small space surrounding Yuu. While in the area, anyone is very likely to slip and slide across like a ballistic missile while the oily substance from liquid reiatsu would weigh down fliers by a tiny bit. Constantly, Yuu is siphoning Eric's energy in tiny portions and using them to create a regenerative property that is added upon herself. The most eerie thing about the reiatsu is that there is nothing spiritually detectable, like it is an alien presence that cannot be detected, even Yuu turns out to have no spiritual presence upon her. When the fireball is forming up, Yuu's eyes can be seen through as a bright glow of silver eyes staring at him like a ghost story monster. Behind that cover of her reiatsu, Yuu can see the faint glow of the fireball and summons her favorite sword, a Scottish Lowlander Claymore called, "Riposte." The weapon is commonly talked about by her survivors as "The Echo of the Wind's Sword." It was said that Echo killed more than a thousand individuals and have killed at least one of each race, even the strong ones have little chance against a figure of massacre; the only clue left is the fabled, "echo of the dead," which is really a psychological para-trauma that they could hear people's death cries and weeping children when "he" is near.
As the fireball is thrown, Yuu holds Riposte through the pillar as Eric can see a silver gleam through the fireball before the fireball vanishes into the blade. A voice echoes through the air, "Return the favor, Riposte!" before a beam of fire rushes out towards Eric like a bullet, just like how Eric approached with his headbutt. The beam is quite as wide as a man's average height in the United States while it can reach across the rooftop. There was a moment when the dark reiatsu has a line of dry ground, but if one is not quick enough, it is quickly covered again by the dark rain. After the attack, Yuu makes the sword vanish and returns to using her hand-to-hand combat. Should it hit Eric, it is the strength of his fireball, but enhanced by Yuu's reiatsu, tripling the firepower as Eric is also stronger than her. Should Eric dodge the beam of fire, then he is fine but he would feel that heat. Piercing the silence of the aftermath, Yuu speaks once more but in a tone less upbeat and more solemn, "So you are talking about my afterschool pupil. Not surprising that she has that charm, though she lacks the will of self to trust in her own abilities than with her powers. Just as you are lacking faith in your own abilities the moment you used the so-called, 'azure gems' and 'demon runes.' I can understand the temptations, but in the end, you lack the free will to excel before you could get started on your 'good hunt.' That breath of fire you experienced was my faith in myself and the faith of fools done onto myself. Those who don't fear the sword should not deserve to hold them. Those who don't fear oneself should not deserve to hold their own liberties. Make a guess which one of the two is quoted from another person and which one is my response and here's the homework. Make some sense out of these philosophies."
While she is speaking, the pillar collapses finally and reveals Yuu a gaze of certainty; Yuu was philosophically stronger than Eric while Eric was more athletically stronger than her as if it was all a test between skill and prowess. "I don't pleasure myself in killing you needlessly, either give me a reason to or not to kill you. I should understand more through your natural prowess of either mercy or discipline, not your words. Tch. And here I am--monologuing in a battle after nearly being killed by that fireball you threw so recklessly--what an irony I have made about myself." If Yuu's words are true, then who Eric is fighting can fight Hanako as if on even grounds, the woman who left a lasting mark on both Mana Ashtavon and Eric Zarathos before she died, but that is a speculation.
