Why Applying:Though he is weak and powerless in terms of "enhanced" or "super" powers his ambition is lacking nothing. Especially when it comes to protecting the ones he cares or. Though he may only be able to learn, or deal with regular humans he will not shy down from a challenge. except if it involves school.
Qualifications: Shinwoo, as he is called by most, has trained in martial arts since he was a child. Specifically in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muy Thai he has a versatile fighting style. Though it may be useless against an enhanced.

Why Applying: Hayden has a strong sense that he must defend those who cannot defend themselves, earth being his home world and his past as a soldier he decided it simply made sense to apply to defend it.
Qualifications: He graduated Shinigami academy, has a lot of potential to grow within his position. At least able to be deployed within a war.
Other Comments: Hayden does have intentions to one day join the Boros guard, but for now he thinks growing within the initiative is his best option.

Why Applying: As already a Vanguard, Nix showed great skill in his field. Soon his powers were recognized and as the previous Archmage had departed in a sad accident, but his successor, second in command wasn't fitting to fill the position, Nix Shraik was noticed and asked to take up the mantle.
Qualifications: Skill to manipulate with energies, understand them, as well, as a deep understanding about how magic/kidō etc. works and are built.
