BELLEH LEONHARDT|THE ARGONAUT

Sweat beads smacked the dirt ground of the Western Capital as Belleh moved from one stall to the next. The heat of the burning sun smacked against the Western Capital that day, the bustle of the streets growing as the hours passed. It was near three in the afternoon now, a backpack slung against his right shoulder as he stood before a stand selling simple foods on a stick. Exchanging small bits of yen for a long stick of cooked meat, Belleh was off once more towards the edge of the capital. Near the edge of the main town was a river flowing against its edge, a large patch of grass filling its bank where there sat a large tent in its dirt. It was home to Belleh, for now. Chomping away at his stick, the young boy tossed his backpack to the soft earth as he looked into the blazing sun.

Only days have past since his mother's death, an event that could only ever be imagined when you're a child. Even at a later age, no one expects to see the death of their mother before their eyes, not even those in war. Nevertheless, it happened. The boy had to simply move forward against the current that was despair. Letting out a soft sigh, the snow-flake haired Leonhardt rubbed his nose, tossing his Stick to the side.

The motions came naturally, moving to the tent to pull out Dea Manu, his sacred weapon. Next to it laid his armguard, a small piece of armor he wore in order to hold one of his pieces of equipment on his body at all times. He shifted, sliding the sheathed sacred weapon into his hip holster and placing the armguard against his left arm. Stepping back out of the tent, Belleh began kicking dirt into the fire pit that sat at the base of his tent. It was time to start moving, time to keep himself busy before his mind fed on the recent events of his past.

"Still no news on being able to have an audience with the nobles up in the castle. I can't just stand by and wait for them to listen to me. This is getting to be too much."

Pulling himself back into the present, Belleh, moved towards a larger clearing on the bank, kicking at the soft earth to make sure his movements wouldn't be impaired from wet soil or soaked grass. Verifying that neither of these things would be a problem, Belleh took it upon himself to drop into a simple stance, sliding his hand to his hip in order to grip Dea Manu's hilt. The movements that followed were simple but quick, the blade unsheathed as he spun, tossing it to his other hand as he moved his right hand to the Balesard in his armguard. In one giant motion, the boy spun in flashy flip, emerging with his feet planted firmly to the ground, crouching low with both blades drawn. From there on out, he simply trained. Air against blade, the boy moved until he couldn't move anymore. It's all he could truly do now, until the nobles would perk up and speak to him. It seemed that his stance as a Leonhardt didn't mean much to those trying to run the castle now, figures.

Just how had he agreed to go on this mission with someone that he just didn't like too much? Oh, that's right he had been contacted by the Vanguard to do this mission as part of show of partnership with the Gotei 13, yet why did it have to be with someone he didn't generally like. Yoma, the person who had attacked Fuma park, was the person that had been sent to accompany him to the Sugiuran realm. Just what was the Sugiuran realm, Steiner had no idea, but he definitely knew it was important to form relationships with beings of different cultures. He had been given leave from his duties in the Boros Initiative to follow this particular mission that had been handed down to him. Steiner shuffled a bit uncomfortably behind their guide which was going to lead them into this mystical realm of the Sugiuran people.

He glared holes into Yoma, paying very little attention to the guide, or the mission they were on and instead focusing on the fact that a terrorist was right in front of him. The whole trip so far, Steiner had watched him, keeping an eye on the red haired shinigami, and making sure to keep his distance, and to avoid being found out for what he was doing. He was unsure as to why he was there or why the shinigami of the Gotei 13 had chosen this particular individual as their representative, but that didn't matter right now. Right now, all that mattered was maintaining the safety of the things that may or may not happen with the red haired shinigami in their group. The Sugiuran guide turned to Steiner before speaking: "We are almost there, Mr. Franz. Be warned, we are a very reclusive people, and as such don't openly welcome outsiders."

Steiner nodded his head and wondered just what type of people the Sugiuran people were and the thought of what sort of wonders awaited them on the other side of this supposed "barrier". He had heard rumors of what was there, but he doubted that many people actually know what the world inside of their was like. So, until he saw what the realm of the Sugiuran was like he would save his judgement of if these rumors were true or not. So as they neared the place where the "barrier" was supposed to be, Steiner found himself mystified by it all. A barrier made of Sugiuran's special energy is what was keeping all of them from entering this realm and if not for the Sugiuran with them, they would never be able to reach the realm inside.

The guide looked back at the two and nodded his head before lifting up his hand to begin unlocking the gate in a metaphysical state. Steiner watched with more than moderate interest, needless to say he was intrigued by everything going on right now, and he was definitely excited to see a world that he had never seen before. To be honest, things didn't really feel like a mission either. It felt more like they were on a grand adventure to some forgotten land that had been shrouded in mystery for years and now they were about to take their first steps into their very own proverbial "lost world". Steiner took a big gulp and awaited some kind of explosion, some kind of massive mystical explosion with sparks and rainbows. Are you dumb?

The question posed by the inner spirit of Valus brought Steiner back to reality, he wasn't alone in his line of thinking, and more than likely Valus had been listening to him the whole time. That made things awkward, but none the less Steiner didn't really mind hearing the voice of Valus. It had been a few days since he had last heard the spirit, who had told him he had been preparing Steiner for something special, and that real soon he would begin to reveal more of his powers to him. It was exciting to say the least, but Steiner was still worried when he had not heard him speak for a while. Where have you been? I was worried sick. Where the hell am I going to go? Besides, I'm readying you internally for the next stage of your training, and that required all of my focus.

What exactly does that mean? As he spoke internally to the spirit of Valus, Steiner looked up in awe as the air in front of him began to shake and shimmer. It was happening, the barrier was being opened.

Yoma wanted to continue growing, he wanted a reason to continue, but at this point in time he felt lost. His other half had the will to go the direction he wanted and the power to push forward. Yoma couldn’t stop hesitating no matter what he did. Yoma had wanted something to help him and push him so he had contacted his sister with the diplomatic affairs division as to help him do something for the gotei. In the past yoma had been involved with many incidents within the gotei and being an overall troublemaker. He wanted to just see what use he could be now.

From his sister he received the task of traveling to the sigura realm. He knew that his sister was not 100% confident in sending him on a task like this yet she informed him to stay on his best behavior and that he wouldn’t be alone. This task was simply communicate with those of the siguran let them grow comfortable with shinigami but along side him would be another representative from the vanguard this task meant that this mission wasn't only to build ties with the siguran but also to reinforce the partnership with the vanguard and show that the 3 can cooperate. Yoma knew that he couldn’t allow himself to let this mission fail and he must increase his restraints on his other side. He doesn’t want to let his sister down nor does he want to be the reason of any future conflict. Before his departure his sister told him to just be himself and relax. Yoma smiled.

Yoma met up with his guide that would take him to the Sugiuran realm. Already with the guide was another man that seemed completely unfamiliar to Yoma. Yet it had felt as he had met this man once before. Yoma guessed that his other self had met this man. Just thinking that had bothered Yoma a bit.

seems like fate operates in a strange way. its that weakling Steiner we encountered before. Im sure you can’t recall it tho. maybe we should give him a beating like before, that should be some fun.

Yoma walked following the guide and walked past Steiner getting ready for their travel to the Sugiuran World. During the period steiner and Yoma were traveling with their guides it seemed as they had not interchanged a single world with one another. Yoma guessed that steiner would harbor some hated towards him due to how his other Self normally is. Eventually reaching the barrier and being informed by his guide about the sigurian people it had hit him. This was a completely different world than what he knew from earth and the soul society. This excited Yoma. He seemed to be ready to jump right on in meet the new people. his excitement raising of getting to see a whole new world almost like explorers in the history books of the past or even those in fantasy books. Yet one thought continued in his mind, The importance of watching his own behavior and that of the darkness of his other self.

The guides once ready was going to let them through the barrier before yoma had stopped them. Yoma walked over to Steiner and excitedly spoke with energy

“ Steiner i don’t know what happened between us nor do i remember when we met but let us enjoy this adventure. i so wish i had a map with me come on let's have our fun and explore this new place.”

Yoma ready to cross the portal followed the guide and jumped on through, only to fall flat on his face the next moment later.

You idiot, what the hell is going on with you. What are you thinking this isn't a treasure hunt. This would be a great new place to bring about mayhem.

Yoma was bother by the comments but got up and was in awe of this new world. It appeared similar but everything seemed calm and crowds of people were gathered at stalls set up in the middle of a road almost as if they were at some sort fair. people crowded the area as sounds resonated with all the music playing. After spending time trying food from stalls and meeting people Yoma wanted see the surrounding areas. Yoma came to the nearby river bank to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding areas. He felt bothered by the constant watchful eye he was under from his guide but he spotted a child that appeared to be training. he watched from the distant for a bit and thought how the sigurian people must have their own reasons for getting stronger. Yoma approached the boy and introduced himself.

“Hey there, i can’t help but see your training, tho is training alone the best idea? wouldn’t you have more luck with others helping you push forward? i'm sorry let me give you my name first It’s Yoma Yazaki and i am a shinigami i'm here to meet the people of this realm and further ties with them but what better way to help increase understanding with nothing more but a friendly match to help push ourselves.”

Yoma told his guide he was going to do this and they did not look too pleased. But this could be enjoyable if they don’t cause too much damage.

BELLEH LEONHARDT|THE ARGONAUT

For a majority of the day, Belleh had dealt with himself and his trainings. It wasn't very long until people came and went from the capital of the Western Kingdom. One person after the next, moving through portals and by road, began to enter and exit the castle town. A lot of people looked towards the young boy as if he was crazy, his attacks flying from one spot to the next against the air. It wasn't a problem for the Leonhardt, however. Self image didn't matter much to the white haired boy, the looks and laughs were the last thing on his mind. A focus of a champion, Belleh wouldn't let his eyes unglue to the space directly in front of him. Its as if the world around him slowly disappeared as he pushed and pushed, his body screaming as his muscles continued to work without rest.

With the hours finally coming to a draw, the afternoon sun was just barely from the horizon. Grazing the blue sky, the rays began to slowly shift in color as Belleh dropped to the ground, heaving. The day of training wasn't very hard compared to some of the things the boy himself has gotten into in the past. Sliding his way down the bank to the water's edge, Belleh submerged his entire skull into its cold reaches for only an instant. Removing his head, the Sugiura yawned in a sigh of relief. The cool water slowly dripped to his uper cloak, arms spreading to take in the sun's rays. The Capital wasn't so bad compared to his tiny farm. People weren't jerks, they just spent most of their time focused on themselves. Belleh couldn't get ahold of his noble family within the castle, each time he visited they simply acted as if he was some runt. Couldn't blame them, thats excactly what he was. A child.

Brushing off his disdain for the Nobles in his family, Belleh lurched up and sprinted back up the bank of the river. Skidding to a stop, he simply returned to his weapons. Strike after strike, the Sugiuran boy was determined to grow stronger. He didn't need others to take care of him, what truly mattered was that he could protect those he loved. Without pushing him to the brink, that wouldn't come to fruition.

Before the boy could get too deep into training once more, his body jerked as he was yelled for. Not my name, of course, but he was blatantly out in the open. Being the only person training in the vicinity, Belleh could only assume taht the Shinigami that had been yelling out loud was refering to him. Diverting his gaze over to the Shinigami, he took inventory of the group he stood with. A Sugiura at the head while another Shinigami stood beside him. Odd, why were there others coming to the capital from so far? Dropping his arms to his side, he shifted to listen to the red haired... teenager? Were they roughly the same age? No, that wasn't possible. Belleh was but a child still.

"Wait, you're here to make ties? That's weird... I can't even get the nobles to listen to me..." A frustrated sigh escaped Belleh's lips as he smiled at the new being. He had never came into contact with a Shinigami, let alone two and an escort from his own people. It seems weird that they came to a kingdom that wouldn't even speak to their people. Nevertheless, Belleh straightened himself up before he could create a bad impression for the three. Nodding his head, the boy spoke.

"It's nice to meet you, Yoma. My name's Belleh, Belleh Leonhardt. I was training, but only because my family wouldn't talk to me from within the Castle. I-I mean, they didn't know I was related but that doesn't exactly change anything..."

Shifting his eyes to Yoma's companion, Belleh nodded and smiled at the taller man. As for the Sugiura that was with Yoma, well she looked relatively peeved. To think someone would get so angry so easily. C'mon lady...

"I-I guess a match would be fine but I'm just trying to get stronger. And we just met and all..."

Shaking his head furiously, Belleh threw any notions of backing down away. Yoma wished for a spar, whether he was stronger or not didn't matter. This was a chance to get stronger. Raising his fist up, Belleh smirked and perked up.

"Alright then. Let's do it!"

LISTEN TO THE MUSIC DAMNIT!

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A- Word Count: 1,485

Before he had know what was going on it seemed as though Yoma had already left to enter through what had once been a barrier seperating their world from the realm of the Sugiurans. Steiner had no idea what he was talking about when he refered to how he didn't know what had happened between them, after all Yoma had been around during it all hadn't he? He had single handidly devestated a park and left it in ruins, for what exactly? To get him riled up, to push his buttons, and force him to actually fight. Sure, that had been a long time ago and by what Yoma knew about him, he probably hadn't expected much to change for the human, but a lot had changed. A great deal had changed for him and now with him housing a ziamichi spirit with an immense power of his own, Steiner easily had access to a great deal of power now, his training with Cirno, couple with the startling battles he had undertaken since that day, had changed him more than anyone could have possibly imagined. He was strong, but not strong enough to make a difference in this crazy world filled with beings who's powers dwarfed his own. Yet, Steiner had survived some crazy shit, and standing there now as he was, stood testament to how resilient the young man had became since that day in the park.

"Anxious, isn't he?", the guide said to Steiner, who had yet to go through the now open gate to the realm beyond. Steiner shrugged his shoulders, he himself was anxious, but he also had his worries about what awaited him on the other side of this proposed barrier. Yes, it was a new world that he had yet to embark into, but he had already had his fair share of run ins with beings who wanted to knock him down a peg or break him like a twig on their knee. In essence, it was a show of restraint for him to not go rushing in himself, but that restraint was merely him being cautious about what awaited him. "Sure is, best get going otherwise he might do something reckless.", Steiner said as he realized that he had just let the man who had decimated a park into a new world that was full of potential innocents who could be terrorized by his methods. Steiner didn't hesitate a moment more, walking through the entrance that had been created, and looking back over his shoulder for a moment he realized he had been followed by their wayward guide.

The feeling of passing through the newly made entrance in the barrier was like being hit by some form of static, his skin tingled, and the hairs on his arm stood up at attention. He shook off the momentary feeling to cast his eyes toward what appeared to be a medeval fair of sorts, upon closer inspection he could tell that nothing was a prop, at least to his keen sense of sight at the least. No, this was the Western Kingdom, and much like the rumors had said, the Western Kingdom almost had a feel of the middle ages, not that Steiner seemed to mind that in the least. He himself was a fan of the lore from that particular time period and was quite interested in what sort of history the people of this realm had to share with him. Yoma, as he quickly learned by merely looking a few meters from his position, was already intermingling. He was running about, looking among food stalls, and intermingling with locals and much to Steiner's amazement, not causing too much trouble at all for the people around him.

He took a deep sigh, unsure of what sort of person Yoma was, but none the less he decided to begin to mingle himself. Walking around the fair ground and talking to several residents of the Western Kingdom, most of which were slightly friendly, if not wary of him, and his arrival. It was very clear they were not used to non-sugiuran's being in their world and their realm and were quite resolute in not allowing themselves to stare too long at him or to even enter into prolonged eye contact with him. It was if he were a bad omen, something negative that people couldn't look away from, but they would try their best to do just that. The guide watched him though, creepily glaring at him as he inspected not only the people and the cuisine, but the structures that had been errected in the western kingdom which shared similarities with the ancient structures used in the middle ages. He wondered if this was mere coincidence or if the knowledge had passed on by the Sugiurans to the those in the middle ages, perhaps there had been suguirans on Earth far before the existance of their realm was discovered by the powers at the pinnacle of their respective organizations.

As Steiner tried his best to gather information, he would only find more questions due to the nature of the people around him. No one was really in a sharing mood and none of them seemed to want to spark up a conversation with the young man, regardless Steiner continued on with his own mission, and as he walked around doing his job, he wondered if he was forgetting something. His eyes went wide as he realized that he hadn't seen Yoma in a while, even more so, the guide that had brought them there was busy looking for him as well, and in that vain that meant that Yoma had just straight up disappeared. Steiner shook his head, knowing it wasn't a good idea to leave the guide's side, but also realizing that Yoma could be causing panic somewhere and with that realization he gained the purpose to break the mission he had been given.

Walking through a crowd and lowering his own spiritual presence, Steiner quickly found himself blending in rather well with the Sugiruan people, and once he had ditched the watchful eye of said guide, he began his own search for Yoma. He expanded his senses to do that, searching for anything tha would give him a hint as to where the young trouble maker had gone. That is when he noticed the red haired shinigami walking off toward what looked like a white haired boy, Steiner choosing to make a b-line through the crowd, and shoving people who got in his way to get over there quicker as to prevent anything sort of problems in this rather peaceful, yet old world setting they were in. He arrived at the area where Yoma was at, only at the brief end of Yoma's dialogue, and then held up his hand, halting the two from further interaction. "How about we don't rough up the locals before we get to know them?", Steiner said his eyes narrowing at Yoma as he spoke. There wasn't an air of coldness there, but an air of tension as Steiner didn't want to have them fight here as things could easily be minsconstrued as full on conflict.

He knew Yoma, well only part of him, but Steiner knew just enough to know just how far things could go in an instant, and he would hate to strain relations before they had even began! He then listened to the child, well not really a child as he had heard that Sugis aged differently than normal species, and he didn't really know how to quantify their age comparitively to his own. "Forgive us, if we fight here it might strain things. I am Steiner Franz, representing the Vanguard on this particular mission to further ties with the people of the Sugiuran realms. I'm sorry if Yoma caused you any problems...", as Steiner would state this he would stare daggers in the direction of Yoma. He didn't trust Yoma, but he also didn't want to spoil any potential opportunities to learn about the combat techniques of their species.

He was greatly interested in fighting someone from this realm, but he also didn't want things to turn south as they normally did for him. "If there is going to be a fight...we should do it somewhere outside of sight of others.", Steiner said lowly to the both of them, his own eagerness to train, and get stronger overwriting any sort of air of caution he had moments ago. He wanted to fight strong opponents and grow stronger from it, but he also didn't want to strain relations with a group of people who could prove to be powerful allies one day. "Got any place that is secluded where we can throw down at without people catching us?", Steiner asked as he looked around to make sure that their guide has not caught on to their position yet.

Yoma was Happy and excited that the sigura was ready and willing to fight. Yoma had learned that his name was belleh Leonhardt . which seemed and sounded weird to him but he guessed it must be a sigura thing. Yet they were a prince or something from how he mentioned a castle and his family from within it. Yoma took a moment to think. then stopped and spoke.

“So belleh ......leon...harding.....whatever........imma just call you princy easier to remember. Don’t worry about sparring with new people ya know just have fun meeting them and understanding. Surprises should be fun right? if they are weaker or stronger you could always learn how to push your powers and maybe if you get strong enough others could notice you. maybe we could your family to notice you if we make enough noise. let's be careful not to cause too much and get in trouble tho. So let's have our fun and grow much stronger than now”

Yoma was going to get ready to take a stance but steiner comes and interrupts him which annoyed him for a moment. Yet he understood that Steiner was right it wouldn't be smart for him to go all out in a spar with the young kid he met but shouldn't t the kid also be at blame for also being out in the open training? Yoma decided to agree they should move to another location if needed to be maybe one with more space to let them enjoy the match but under his breath he was name calling steiner a old man who know nothing about fun.

“AWWWWW but i really would have enjoyed starting this match right away. SIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH so where do we go from here then. also we gonna let any of these people around here watch us? seems like they would have an interesting show on their hands here. "

Yoma followed without a care in the world to their destination as he wasn’t worried about showing his own strength in a sparr since he can’t be compared to other shinigami due to being much weaker. This didn’t mean he couldn’t hold his own and survive within a strange new place. He knew he would have to watch out for his other half . He could hear the thoughts of his other half and it seemed to be deeming steiner. He still seemed to be very teasing towards him. Yoma knew that if he let His other half come out that steiner wouldn’t enjoy it neither would any of the
siguras.
