The Thousand Strong
"Do you always fight so poorly?"

I. Basic Information

» Name: Daigoro Ito
» Titles: The Thousand Strong, The Platinum Wall (formerly)
» Age: 835 years from birth, 1 month from rebirth
» Gender/Sex: Male
» Origin: Victory
» Kingdom: Western
» Affiliation/Rank: None
» Class: Symbiote

» True Appearance Description: It's quite clear that while he has retained most of his appearance, there has definitely been some amount of change to how Daigoro appears since he was last seen in public. For instance, he looks a lot younger than he used to, with softer lines in his face and a more jovial appearance overall. Another particularly obvious change to his appearance is the eyepatch over his right eye, which has no function other than what is stated in his Equipment. He can hide the corruption for a short time, but it always returns. His visible eye is now green as opposed to red. He is about the same height as he was before, though he seems to be a lot more filled-out in musculature; he is no longer exceptionally slender for his height.

II. Personality Traits

» Personality: At a first glance, Daigoro Ito would appear to be a man of many different moods and mind-sets—much like any other being, but in a strange way. If one was to speak to him, they would see him possibly change personality several times throughout the conversation, depending on how he had been spoken to. A firm believer in equality and balance, he feels that if someone’s willing to do something to you, then they should be prepared to take what they gave. If one was to speak kindly to him, then he would speak kindly back - and vice versa. If someone was to attack him in a form of anger, then he would defend himself with some form of anger back, although most likely without the same strength and proper rage behind it - one who knows Daigoro personally knows him as a greatly benevolent individual, who rarely tries to harm others without very good reason. Upon meeting him for the first time, one’s first impressions can be quite good—Dai is easy to trust those he meets, but also quite quick to change his opinion on someone, depending on their actions. If he does not mind you, his face will be a kindly one, his lips turned up in a smile. Anything else will bring forth a neutral expression.

Daigoro has a crazy ideal. His ideal is that all life upon this planet, and within all the realms, is equal. All lives are to be saved, unless they have chosen to act in a way that doesn’t deserve their existence; ‘evil’ people do not get the chance at retribution, unless they have proven that they will attempt to fix their ways. He doesn't try to choose who lives and dies—he hates the idea of judging the fate of another being on the same level—however, he will always choose to protect those that he cares about with more strength than he would if he were attempting to protect someone that was not close to him. Innocents and the weak will always be an exception to that scale. That said, Dai is, or attempts to be, unbiased in all of his opinions, and tries to take in both sides of the story of an argument. He refuses to act upon menial accusations, finding them ‘petty’ and ‘worthless’. He will also not hesitate to strike down a Hollow, finding their base instinct ‘horrid’. Arrancar are a different story, as they have gained the power to choose their path.

At one point in time, Daigoro was just an empty shell of a man. His morals, being the only thing he could rely on in this world, took him places that hurt him and those around him. He hated it, so he shut himself down. He hid himself away from people, trying not to associate with humanity. One would think him bitter, cynical and jaded. This changed, however, with the sudden appearance of Kameko through the gate. Arrested for the crimes he had committed, he was placed into a gaol and left to his own thoughts. He could quite easily allow himself to be killed, and that was the only thing on his mind when put before Queen Misaiko. At that point, Daigoro Ito was at his lowest, but that was also the time when he pulled back up. He shook off this depression—he still occasionally has existential crises, but they are few and far between.

The best kinds of dreams are the unattainable kind; and Dai’s dream is no exception. His dream, having being built up through his life, has grown to be a wish for peace. He wants to stop the wars, end the struggles, and attempt to have all life live in harmony with one-another, rather than attempting to kill each other. He believes that all beings have the power to do such a thing, and will often try and convince them as such if he feels like he can. He knows that some have a deep-seated evil, however. He is not naïve: he already knows that this dream is completely impossible. He already knows that justice will not prevail, and that they will have to become Demons to kill those Demons at their gates. He has already made this choice, but that dream is what lights up the battles.

In battle, Daigoro knows that he can take most of what others can throw at him. This has made him slightly more reckless, and yet also benevolent to the point of seeming arrogant. If he sees that he might end up injuring others more than they would need or be able to heal from properly, he will refuse to fight someone, unfortunately seeming arrogant to them. His general dislike for fighting is usually removed when he actually gets into the fight itself, losing his usual benevolent self to the heat and adrenaline that the ride to possible death causes. He may enter the fight with the intention of simply defending himself, however he will almost always end up attempting to overwhelm his opponent with an almost feral and indomitable style.

When he follows any lead in his research, he will follow any lead that he is given. He says that, instead of losing a good lead, he will always follow what he is given. Even if the lead was a wild goose chase for him, and he wasted his time doing it, it will always be worth it to the Sugiura. Daigoro also has a hefty air of nonchalance, almost boredom, about him. It's not the same as this “arrogance”, but it's rather similar. If you take a first look at him, he doesn't appear to care. In fact, it almost always seems that way. However, it is not quite as simple as that. He tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves, but he has learned to control himself enough that he keeps calm when he has to. His face will almost always tell you everything that he’s feeling at the time, however.

Normally, Dai is exceedingly loyal to those he has sworn his loyalties to. Unfortunately, this loyalty to others has been shattered a lot by the recollection of his morals, and he seeks someone to be loyal to, trying to find all the right places for it to happen. Because of these morals, he was always dreading the moment when he would have to make the choice. He made his choice the first time, and found himself in K-World. He then chose again, finding himself a rogue, on the run from the world. However, a third choice has granted him something new—an opportunity to work with beings that desire nothing but an end to the war. Their morals fit in line with his, and he feels happy for that. Nothing has pleased him more than finding this, and knowing that there’s somewhere in the world that he fits into.

He is also generally sarcastic and joking, however he is never malicious towards someone unless he sees some side of them that he doesn't like. He automatically locks onto the good within people, no matter whom they are, and will reject somebody if he sees no retrievable good in their heart. His one dream is peace, as mentioned before, and he will do anything to make that goal possible - except for merciless or undeserved killing.

» Dislikes: Irritating noises, warmongering assholes, too-sweet foods, condescension.

III. Guardian Beast

» Name: Fourth Royal Regiment
» Age: Ranging from 18-35
» Gender: Male and Female
» Origin: Solidarity

» Location of Resonance Marker: Every single member of the Regiment has a laurel wreath symbol located on the right side of their neck.

» Appearance: While the appearances of the Regiment vary from person-to-person, there is a single entity that takes form as the representative of the group as a whole--this is a being who speaks for the group as a whole, rather than an individual herself. As becoming a part of the Regiment caused her to relinquish her name, Daigoro has taken to naming her Yakuin.

Spoiler:

» Personality: Most of the Regiment have a particularly nebulous personality, with no real clear sense of self or personal needs in general--they tend to work for the good of the Regiment as a whole. As it stands, the voice of the Regiment is Yakuin, and as such, she has her own personality that seems to occur when she manifests. Well, if you could call it that.

Yakuin is particularly emotionless and straightforward in her actions, taking the most logical steps to get what she, and the rest of the Regiment, desire. She makes no attempt to let emotions cloud her judgement, and she seems to show some signs of irritation whenever Daigoro does instead--probably the most intense emotion she shows. She gives her advice clearly and impartially, and has no qualms with admitting that something is too difficult for herself, or for her host.

She tends to take the needs of the many over the needs of the one in higher esteem, and would gladly tell Daigoro to sacrifice himself to save more than a thousand--for "you are the vessel of one thousand and one, you must not sacrifice yourself to rescue a lesser number." Obviously this can be seen as a bit of a fallacy, since they'd already died, but she does not make that motion. The survival of the Regiment is what matters to her.

She is an esteemed combatant, who uses the combined combat mastery of the Regiment to full effect. As a result, she has a tendency to think tactically, which can sometimes conflict with Dai's wishes to avoid conflict where possible--they don't always work in concert.

» History: For clear reasons, the entire history of the Fourth Royal Regiment would take an entire novel, so instead the concise story will be given.

The Fourth Royal Regiment is a singular entity, by all technicalities, though it is made up for one thousand men and women, all who gave their lives for the many. They fought in a long-forgotten war, several hundred years ago--wiped out in their entirety by spiritual weapons of a kind never before seen. As a result of their dying together, their dying spirits were psionically joined together under a singular Origin, and formed the entity known as the Regiment.

They remained like this, masterless, drifting in the nothingness for hundreds of years, unsure of their place or their purpose. They did not understand what they were, nor did they understand why they came to be. They merely understood that they were a single entity now, and that they would have to exist as such--this was, of course, until they discovered him. A cry for succor amongst the Madness of the South, one that was louder to them than the rest--the cry of a great creature falling from power. That, combined with the Light of the Truth, drew them to he, and they combined their essence with his--He who wished to remain in Life, and They who wished to gain Meaning.

» Flimkien Powers:

Tactical Momentum: The Regiment are highly skilled with weaponry, no matter the era it's from. As a result, they can support Daigoro with a number of weapons that change depending on the situation at hand. In one case, they may be posted as a Sniper and Spotter, on a hill overlooking the battleground. In another, they may function as a rear guard, watching for any ambushes from the rear. No matter the situation, they are given the weaponry required to make best use of it, and can bend space to their will to get to the destination they need--obviously there exist some limitations. For instance, they cannot be further than two miles away from Daigoro, or their bodies are immediately returned to his. They cannot recreate weaponry more powerful than a Machine Gun emplacement.

That said, there are other mechanics to this than just 'soldiers exist'. In any regular situation, if all is even, ten soldiers are the maximum that can exist on the battlefield at any one time. Soldiers are counted as a 3-3 entity, and act as if a regular NPC of that level. For all intents and purposes, they should be counted as:

  • Advanced in Weapon Skill
  • Adept in General Speed and Strength
  • Beginner in Durability

They have that Advanced only because they take from a singular skill sheet, rather than also having a racial and a will sheet.

There are, however, ways to adjust both the maximum spawn capacity of soldiers, and the number of soldiers available to Daigoro at any given time. This is key to winning a battle against Daigoro and the Regiment while they are using Flimkien.

  • Spawn+ Death of an Enemy - If Daigoro (or one of his soldiers) manages to kill an opponent of 3-3 level or above, this automatically increases his capacity for soldiers by one, and spawns another soldier in that enemy's place. For every entire tier level that enemy is above 3-3, that further increases the capacity and spawn by one. This is by far the most surefire and efficient way to increase the capacity of soldiers that he can carry, and to get more at the same time. Of course, he doesn't always have a legion of mooks available to be so easily killed.

  • Spawn+ Combination Offensive - If Daigoro manages to land multiple, successive hits on any target without any counterattacks landing, a soldier will spawn for each successful attack past the first. If a counterattack lands, he will not lose a soldier--but every attack after that will count as part of the Combination Overwhelmer and he'll begin to lose ground.

  • Spawn+ Victorious Officer - Unlike the regular soldiers, the existence of Yakuin on the battlefield changes the game entirely. Her existence is both a powerful tool if it remains, and a great detriment if it is lost. Yakuin functions at a higher level than the rest of Daigoro's soldiers, reaching 1-5 in tier as a superior officer to the rest, and easily the main representative of the Regiment. On top of that, she benefits from Daigoro's 'Indominitable Will' at a 10:1 ratio, meaning that when faced with 1000 enemies, she will be at 100% additional power. Even Daigoro chaining up mook kills has nothing on what Yakuin brings to the table--if Yakuin manages to kill an enemy of 3-3 or above, two soldiers will spawn in their place, with an additional soldier per tier above 3-3. Yakuin is:

    • Advanced in Weapon Skill and General Speed
    • Adept in Durability
    • Beginner in Strength

  • Spawn- Death of a Soldier - A soldier's death is a terrible thing, but it is assuredly a part of combat. Killing one of Daigoro's soldiers removes it from play until he can summon one in its place. A soldier who dies from this reduces the absolute maximum capacity that Daigoro can summon for three rounds.

  • Spawn- Combination Overwhelmer - If Daigoro's enemies manage to land multiple, successive hits on his body without any counterattacks landing, they'll very quickly deplete his soldier ranks. As with Combination Offensive, if Daigoro manages to land a counterattack and then begin attacking again, he will begin to regain ground very quickly.

  • Spawn0 Broken Lines - The superior officer of a Regiment is both a powerful tool to inspire, and a way to break the morale of an army very quickly. If Yakuin falls in combat, Daigoro's lines fall apart. While this has no direct effect on combat with the presently-existing soldiers, no additional soldiers may be spawned for four turns. Once these three turns are up, the next life Daigoro takes will bring Yakuin forth once more. While breaking Yakuin is the most direct way to eliminate the power of Daigoro's soldiers, know that they are very willing to give up their lives for her. It is more often than not that Yakuin will be the last to fall.

» Matul Ispiritu Appearance: While in Matul Ispiritu, the Thousand Strong Regiment appear as wisps around Daigoro's body, fading in and out of view. Their glow strengthens as he gains the usage of more of them.

» Matul Ispiritu Powers:

Tactical Informants: While in Matul Ispiritu, the Regiment become Daigoro's eyes and ears while in combat. For all intents and purposes, he is aware of all presences that surround him, but only if they're visible by the naked eye. He is aware of their locations and relative aggression, and can command a soldier to protect his flank from within, reducing the damage that he takes from any attacks from his flanks or rear. That said, a similar rule applies to Daigoro's Matul Ispiritu in that the more attacks he successfully lands, the more defensive power he has on his sides and rear, though it's not as live-or-die as it is with his Flimkien.

III. Character Background

» History See here for Daigoro's previous history.

He recalls the entity originally known as 'Daigoro Ito' well. The man who switched allegiances endlessly, as though unsure of what he wanted to gain from life. A wall of the hardest iron, standing stalwart and strong against all outward threats. He recalls each of these memories perfectly, understanding that he is now this 'Daigoro Ito' being, though not entirely the same. 'He' is now 'they', a conglomerate of spirits from a long-forgotten army, and a long-forgotten war. One thousand men, all whom have shared their lives with one-another, so much as to call themselves a singular unit, all sharing the same thoughts, the same wants, the same needs. No longer the many, but a one.

Daigoro Ito died, you see. He fell to the Madness, though valiant his efforts and attempts to stop it. A pawn of the Truth, he tried to reach through his boundless stamina and survive; the Madness still took its hold. A being nigh-impervious to external threats found himself at the mercy of an internal one, and Daigoro Ito's mind broke from the pain. Once his mind left him, so too did his will to fight. Once his will broke, so too did his body, and so too did his life. He fell to the Madness, for it destroyed his mind completely. And so, the story of Daigoro Ito, the Platinum Wall, ended.

Yet we discovered him. His surety and power called to us, and we could do naught but answer him. He spoke with us in cracking voice, asking for our brevity in this time of pain. We gave him a choice. Death was the first, and a very simple choice to make. He could call for the end of his saga right there. It was a choice that he considered well, for a time we could only describe as an age. He was true to his pacing, and when he finally finished his thought, he asked us for the second option.

We would give him ourselves. He would speak for us as our head. He would be the being that all would see, but we would become a part of him. He would give up his connection to the Truth, for that power would be used to resurrect him and then vanish. He would give up the strength he had previously known, for that strength no longer belonged to him. He would no longer be that which he once was, for that being had totally perished within the City of Madness. He would keep his name, and he would keep his identity, but we would become a part of him, and in doing so, grant life--not to one, but to one thousand and one.

Another age passed as he considered this--time is surprisingly endless on the cusp of destruction--before he asked one more question of us. The question came as a shock to all but our most outspoken man, for we had not expected him to return such a rebuttal. Our leader--our voice--considered the response to such a question, before giving a reply in the affirmative. We were, for lack of a better word, shocked at such a thing. The man we had brought among us wished for us to remove his memory of this meeting, if we were to bring him back to life. We wanted to know why, and so we asked.

"Because as far as I'm concerned, we were one from the beginning."

IV. Abilities & Equipment

» Natural Abilities

Indomitable Will: The odds do not faze Daigoro in combat. In short, for each individual, past the first, that Daigoro is in combat against, he gains a bonus 1% (additive) to his physical attributes (strength, defense, agility). This stacks up to one-thousand times, meaning that he is at 1000% power when facing off against one-thousand-and-one opponents, as well as being under the effects of his maximum power Matul Ispiritu.

Transmogrification: Daigoro's Sacred Weapon is not set in stone. It can take any form he chooses, provided it has some kind of usage as a weapon. This is as effortless a transition to him as breathing.

» Matul Ispritu Gifted Abilities

The Thousand Strong: This ability is the key ability of the one who would call themselves the 'Thousand Strong'. It essentially enables Daigoro to fight as if he were more than the single being that he is, when compared to beings that are his equal in strength. If someone is one being, then Daigoro is as two--and so on, so forth. He reaches his limitations when facing one-thousand, for that is the limited number of people that make up the Regiment within his soul. This allows Daigoro a couple of benefits, however there is one that stands head and shoulders above the rest.

When someone normally acts, they act as one--they have a single course of action that they have chosen to take, and will follow that course through until the end. Daigoro gets to change his decision, mid-way through an action. This is accomplished through the usage of the other active members of the Regiment. While Daigoro performs his initially-chosen action, the active members of the Regiment continue to perform 'shadow actions', which outlines some of the other possible actions that Daigoro could have taken. Daigoro can swap between these 'shadow actions' as he pleases, however he can only take each route once. This means that, if he had two actions and swapped, he would not be able to swap back--even if it means that his second action ends up being worse.

What this allows Daigoro to do is to attack from angles that one would never expect him to attack from, at times when he should have been doing something else. It allows him to dodge deadlier blows, and attack discovered weak points--however, this does not make up for his usually-average physical statistics. This means that, while he may be in a position to defeat his opponent with skill and maneuvering tricks, if they turn up their own power to simply blow him away through sheer force, that may just not be enough for him to win.

» Sacred Weapon As above, Daigoro's Sacred Weapon really has no proper form to call its own; though if Daigoro were to ever go back to its original form, it would appear as a simple knife on his hip.

» Equipment

Type-1000 Communications Device: Basically a phone, but hands-free and almost impossible to notice without searching for it.

Eyepatch: Daigoro's eyepatch is special, in that it has a function all its own. Known formally as the Field Operations Intrascopic Eyepiece, it is essentially tied to the networks for the area that he's currently in, reading all environmental details and providing them to him--things such as wind-speed, precipitation, weather forecast, everything like that, allowing Daigoro to plan on the go and in advance.

VI. Maxima Sindicat

» Maxima Sindicat Appearance

Upon activation, the area surrounding Daigoro for approximately 200 feet vanishes from sight, being replaced with what seems to be an endless expanse of mostly-flat desert territory, with ruins dotted throughout. Spread around Daigoro are the one-thousand men and women of the Regiment, all in uniform and staring at the enemy, eyes glowing and to attention. From here on in, you are trapped within the culmination of both Origins until the end.

» Maxima Sindicat Abilities:

United We Stand: Within this zone, all one thousand members of the Regiment will be fighting alongside Daigoro, who remains at his base level of strength, multiplied by his Indomitable Will bonus. The Regiment fights as a unit, striking at weak points in the enemy lines--though valiant as they may be, they're unlikely to score any killing blows. They're mostly a really powerful distraction that at best may kill an enemy, and at worst may die without doing anything. But even then, their death is absolutely not in vain.

While they still maintain their weapon capabilities, they actually gain the ability to use more powerful. The drawback to this, however, is that those soldiers are taken away from the battlefield for a short period of time: three posts to be exact. One post to leave, one post to fire and one post to return as the impact of their work falls upon the battlefield. The power level of the weapon fired is dependent on the amount of soldiers that are used for it; anything from ten soldiers (a single artillery strike--more groups of ten for more strikes) to five hundred (Rods from God). Daigoro can only have one group away from the battlefield at any one time, meaning that he can only use a single large weapon--and those large weapons have the capability to kill his own men in friendly fire.

Vengeful We Fall: When a member of the Regiment dies within the zone, they will not return to the battlefield under any circumstances. Their power returns to Daigoro's body, but that is not the end of it. Each death ramps up his general power as if he were facing an additional opponent in combat, multiplying the bonuses he gains from Indomitable Will by 0.05x per dead soldier. While this grants him the opportunity to go to almost 50000% of his power level, this does have drawbacks of its own. n.b: Yakuin does not benefit from the power increase to Indomitable Will, she only gets the base amount.

For instance, each dead soldier increases his pain tolerance and reduces his self-preservation instincts, leaving him more and more on the attack despite any wounds that he may be suffering. He slowly begins to lose all sense of coherent thought, each death piling up and causing him to make worse decisions--this has the amusing side effect of removing strategic thought from him and hastening the deaths of the Regiment. No matter how quickly they may be dying, however, Yakuin will always be the last to fall. As well as this, the death of each soldier weighs heavily on Daigoro's body. The killing wound appears on his body, as if it was freshly-made by whatever weapon killed them. The wound itself is only cosmetic, however he will feel the pain that they felt as they continue to die alongside him.

When Yakuin falls, both Daigoro's will to fight and his Maxima Sindicat break. No matter how the combat has gone up until that point, once the final soldier falls Daigoro has been defeated. His Maxima Sindicat will end, duration nonwithstanding. This leaves the decision--do you kill all of Daigoro's soldiers, deal with him ramping up to unbelievable levels of power, but finishing off his soldiers before he can do any real damage? Or do you strike at the heart immediately, taking Daigoro down and keeping him under wraps for the duration of his zone?

VII. Kyo Natsume

Something that remained from Daigoro's previous incarnation is the identity of Kyo Natsume. As the Alter does not exist in the Sugiurans of Now, it is unknown exactly why she has remained, though it seems that Daigoro's soul has essentially become half-female, due to the influence of the Regiment. While this doesn't show anything outwardly unusual normally, it means that under certain conditions, Daigoro's body can change its physicality completely, going from being male to being female. It is unknown how long he can maintain this form for, but he seems to retain his usual personality traits... though for some reason he is somewhat more aggressive while female. In most situations this can be a detriment, but he has often used it to his advantage--it's easy to avoid recognition when you change your physical sex.

» Name: Kyo Natsume
» Titles: The Thousand Strong, Who?
» Age: 835 years from birth, 1 month from rebirth
» Gender/Sex: Female
» Origin: Victory

I'll be the one handling this check for the meantime, and after a nice read, I can honestly say that this is an interesting concept! There are a few issues that make themselves apparent and need to be addressed. Let me say this though, if you find anything that I say unjust or unfair, you are free to message me privately about the issues or even ask another moderator/admin for their advice. With my opening bit done, let's get to the check!

Will Skills
  • Willpower/Determination: N/A
  • Mental Deduction: N/A
  • Pain Endurance: N/A
  • Focus: N/A

Comments/Notes: My first issue comes with the general idea of the Spawn ability. I'm feeling a little bit iffy on the Victorious Officer part of the ability, and I feel as if I don't know just enough for the actual soldiers themselves. What is their general strength and physical stats? Tier wise, I understand their strength, but what if they were to fight someone of that tier? Would they have adept strength? Beginner? Just a quick little question like this, and having a fair description of the 1-5 Officer's physical stats as well would be greatly beneficial.

The next major issue that really stands out is Vengeful We Fall. The concept seems great, though the potential boost it can give would be extremely destructive and would nullify any chance of being Daigoro if he were to ascend that high. 1000% is already a massive leap, but having the ability to go even higher would make anyone question if the ability was balanced or not. Personally, I don't believe it's balanced enough, and would prefer to cut down the increase of each fallen soldier so that the maximum bonus he can receive from simply his soldier's deaths would be 500%. This means that if he gets his maximum bonus plus many dead soldiers with the last one standing, he can get around 150x his base physical prowess, which would be extremely destructive on it's own, but much more manageable than 200x. Secondly, I wish for another drawback to be added unto the ability. For every time one of his shoulders dies, I'd like for him to feel the pain of how they were ended to add unto the whole 'together we stand' aspect. If someone were to get stabbed through the heart, the pain may make him flinch during one of his own strikes, which would add another way to combat this ability through carefully planning when to strike at both him and his soldiers. Or the pain could simply fuel his rage and lead him further into battle, I still would prefer the idea there.

These are my suggestions, and if you disagree, I will be extremely happy to peacefully talk with you either through messenger or Skype if you need too.
Tier: N/A (Most likely similar to what he had already gotten on approval.)

So:

  • Soldiers have been given statistics, including Yakuin. The main soldiers have been given atypical statistics because they're only drawing from a single stat sheet.
  • Changed the Victorious Officer ability to simply spawn an additional soldier, as opposed to making spawned soldiers temporarily stronger.

    • Context on Victorious Officer: Without Yakuin, there are only two ways to really bring Daigoro's soldiers down--you either have to kill them all without him getting any retaliatory strikes, or you have to keep him on the back foot constantly. Yakuin changes this, because while she is a powerful pawn in her own right (being a higher tier than her allies, therefore being more powerful) she also comes with the major drawback of essentially stopping further soldier spawns if she dies. This gives both Daigoro and the enemies a third decision: What do we do with Yakuin? A 0-2 or higher could basically one-shot her, since she's an average-power character. This gives Daigoro the main option of keeping her hidden--but then he can't benefit from her strengths. Instead, he has the option of keeping her out, as her benefit from his Indomitable Will gives her that slight edge she needs to survive being in close quarters with the powerhouses. It just makes combat a little bit less binary for Daigoro and his opponents.

  • Reduced the maximum power for the Maxima Sindicat to 50000%, and added the drawback of feeling the pain of the killing wounds on the soldiers.

    • Context on the Maxima Sindicat: Put simply, Daigoro getting to that absolute maximum of power is fundamentally impossible. If he gets to that, he has already lost the fight. Daigoro's strengths are about overwhelming odds that would leave most beings panicking. To wit, to get to 50000% means that two things have happened. a) You have brought one-thousand men to fight Daigoro (or you've brought more, and one-thousand or more have survived the battle). This is already skewing the odds in Daigoro's favor and making your fight a bit more difficult. b) Every solder except for Yakuin has perished. Yakuin does not benefit from the additional power gained from dying soldiers, so even at 1000 enemies, she still retains a +100% power level. She's pretty easy to kill if you have a thousand people. Killing her immediately ends Daigoro's Maxima Sindicat, reduces him to base power, and stops him in his tracks. c) You've managed to do all of this in five rounds (because Daigoro's never getting Grandmaster in Resonance.)

Not attacking, nothing like that--I just thought you'd like some context on where the balancing for the Maxima Sindicat come from, because Dai's power is largely situational. He can go from being an absolute monstrosity, to being absolutely average for his tier.

Also, there is literally zero reason for you to give him the same tier. If you want to give him a lower one, feel free--he died, after all, and the reason he was at the tier he was is because of the overwhelming power he had back then. I won't bitch! Thanks for checking!
