Luck [ OPEN ] Empty Luck [ OPEN ]

Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:16 am

Busy streets of Karakura City just as usual. Though, that isn't the point here. Once-in-a-while break finally came for Kamijou-san, yet for some odd reason, he just couldn't find something to do at all in his break. That's because there isn't anyone that is living together with him and has been supporting himself ever since he left the Yuudeshi household and lived alone from them. He didn't really completely severed his contact with them and did occasionally checked in with them to see they are doing and whatnot since he really can't do such a cold-blooded way to them in the first place as they are his family, of course. When that deserved break of his came today, boredom shrunk into him as much as his bad luck would bring.

The second he woke up in the morning, he tripped literally over nothing but air, stubbed his toe, accidentally cut himself while preparing early for his lunch and dinner, and unfortunately, teared apart his clothes when he was in the middle of wearing it for no particular reason. Truly, his luck was just as usual, misfortune. This luck of his, that he had to endure everyday is something you can consider him to be brave enough to deal with it since childhood. In the Yuudeshi family, Touma didn't mind that he was born from Shadin's genes and grew up without any particular power, that even most people who may look up to the Yuudeshi family may see Touma as a waste of Shadin's genes to even raise him in the first place. To lower the burden of his family and not to damage the reputation that they have, Touma decided on his own to live alone, away from the budget of his family and away from using the name of his family to the point where he goes by the name of Kamijou Touma and even subconsciously answers people's question of his name when asked since it has been the identity he used ever since. While he may seem really pathetic and like those types who runs away from reality, he isn't. He took things into consideration and decided them on his own without any complaints, not even once that he has ever complained about being born within the Yuudeshi family. In fact, he was proud to be apart of the people who is willing to help others and save those with their powers instead of using it to do harm to the innocent, a family that he looks up to without disgrace. Even with his lack of power, not even once have he ever complained about being weak, because even without power, at least he could help others as much as his capability allows. To lead such a life was simply his decision, and because of 'Imagine Breaker' as well.

Imagine Breaker is what led to him to this point of life, the life of unluckiness and misfortune that he attracts endlessly. Not just that, Touma has the ability to negate all supernatural things irregardless of its power whether if it is all-mighty, invincible or if it the power of God, as they doesn't seem to mean any threat against the likes of Imagine Breaker. Its power seems so great and mysterious to the point of negating God's blessings, which in turn, attracted bad luck. As long as it is supernatural, even spiritually-enhanced strength would be negated with just a touch. Even angelic and demonic powers would be cancelled within an instant, especially against pure angelic beings except for Iramasha, has the possibility of being killed if they are under Imagine Breaker's contact or effect, however, such phenomena is not confirmed yet since Touma never had any experience of killing anyone with Imagine Breaker before. All that power? It resides in both of his arms, allowing him to negate only singular abilities and not against waves of attacks as well. All that aside, Imagine Breaker is also the main cause of his misfortune as well, since it can negate the blessings of God, which means that he is no longer protected against bad luck, and causes a life of supposed suffering that he seems to endure quite well.

Well, all of that aside, it IS still a break, and nothing can go wrong, right? Dressed for the occasion of finally taking a break from Karakura Highschool, he could finally take a small walk across the city to see how far the city has evolved from the work of his father, Shadin Yuudeshi. With pretty much nothing to do, a walk would most likely the only choice he can take to do 'something'. With that said, even at the outside, his luck is still unchanging, since Touma isn't the only one experiencing misfortune, as Imagine Breaker can affect the luck of other people as long as they are close to Touma, hence his former title 'The Plague' back in his childhood days because of how his luck had affected other children into misfortune. Trying to not let himself too depressed, he entered a small store where they sell the magazines. To try and kill time, he found the one that he was looking for exactly in this store, an interesting magazine he could definitely take a break, and upon picking the book up, the entire bookshelf that has various magazines on it just.. began to start collapsing on him. Based on his experiences, Touma had enough time to react to it and make an escape out of the store before he gets caught by the owner. Really, such misfortune.

The busy streets were packed, the people walking it were rowdy and rude, but for a guy like Steiner Franz this wasn't an issue. He had just got back to Karakura Town, went back home to his tent in the woods, and had decided to spend the day out and about for the first time in a long while. His meeting with Cirno had been lovely and his time spent there was amusing, but being back in the city was definitely better for him. He was used to large crowds of rowdy individuals living their own life in some way shape or form around him. The isolation on top of the mountain had not fit him very well and he had felt extremely lonely without the presence of other individuals around him. So, as he shifted his way through crowds of people like a fish trying to travel upstream, Steiner found himself at peace with himself. So as the cold breeze blew through his chestnut colored hair, Steiner found himself nearing an intersection crowded with people.

He paused as he reached an intersection, looking across the street at the throngs of people who were waiting their turn to cross the street as well. He began to whistle a tune, a tune he had heard in the Iramasha settlement that had stuck with him during his time since he had left, and his mind drifted to what exactly he was suppose to do now that he was on his own once again. He still had no idea on how to activate his powers and he still had no idea what to do with them even he did. It wasn't like Karakura was in much danger at the moment so even if he could flip the metaphorical switch there was nothing going on here to really merit him activating them in the first place. He could always travel to another country and do some stuff there, but he just didn't have the funds to be flying half-way across the world to do some acts of heroism. He wanted something to do as boredom has struck the human in the baddest of ways. There was only so much training he could do on his own and as the light turned green on the crosswalk, Steiner found himself standing still.

Would it be so much to have a little action?, he thought to himself as he finally began to walk forward with the people around him. Finally, Steiner found himself in front of a magazine store, and he shrugged his shoulders. Maybe he could get a bit of entertainment from reading to curve his feeling of boredom. So, he walked inside, nodding at the cashier as he made his way to a specific section with comics in it, and began to look for his favorite comic series. It had been a while since he had read a comic, in fact it dated back to when he had been in the foster care system, and remembering that system brought back some painful and some good memories. After not finding the particular series that he had been looking for, Steiner let a sigh escape his lips, and began to browse the surrounding area for a comic that fit his fancy. Finally, after some searching he found a comic book that seemed to catch his interest and picked it up as he began to flip through the pages, he saw a boy out of the corner of his eye.

He didn't pay him much mind until all of a sudden the boy seemed to topple over a stand, Steiner dropped the comic book as the boy started to run away from the scene of the crime. Steiner dove forward, trying his best to catch the stand, but only succeeded in being the one who had it topple on top of him. Steiner groaned as the cashier shouted at the boy in incoherence as he ran. Steiner, using all of his might, and strength would barely be able to lift the heavy stand off of himself until finally it was off. Steiner didn't hesitate to run after the boy, telling the cashier: "I will get him." Steiner found himself chasing after the boy, which was difficult due to the nature of his surroundings. The urban jungle was not easy to move around as he had to dodge incoming people and incoming traffic. Needless to say, Steiner would try his best, bumping into people, and nearly getting hit by cars as he did so. Yet, he was on a mission to bring this boy back to at least live up to what he did.

Steiner bumped into a particularly rude individual who told him to go "fuck himself", to which Steiner just shook his head, and continued on. Finally after a good while, the crowds began to thin out, and it became easier for Steiner to run after him. "Hey! Stop!", Steiner shouted as he spun around a lamp post. Just how fast was this damn kid? Did he have powers too? It was quite possible as it seemed that there were a lot of individuals running around now with their powers hanging out on display. But if he had powers then why was he destroying stands? It didn't matter at that point, he came to that conclusion as he nearly got a body full of car, the only thing that mattered is he brought to justice. "Please, just stop!", Steiner shouted as he ran out of breath. He finally stopped running, putting his hands on his knees to catch his breath. Note to self...need to work on my stamina, he thought as he took another deep breath and began chasing once again. Just where was this kid going? He had no idea, but he was going to get answers.
