Mending Nuclear Scars [Vanguard/Vandenreich Incursion Mission] [Radioactive/Sofia] [Ask To Join] 6EdIfMt

Artist: STVORE - Song: Особь - Word Count: N/A

Near the poles of the pacific ocean lay a vast and mass expansion of Quincy Population. This was blooming into what would be the homeland terrority of the quincy faction known as "The Vandenreich Group" by some and "The Wandereich" by others. While this group has faced many trials in the past and has been through constant cycles of destruction and reconstruction, it had appeared that the helms of leadership had once again changed and they were heading in a new direction. New masses were forming, alliances were being made and new developments could be seen for as far as the eye could see.

Therefore, with all this expansion occurring within the faction, it was hard not to want to not send someone to this location in order to discover where their stance on The Vanguard lies. Hence, one of their more active commanding officers was sent to the location: Radioactive. This individual has a very deep and embedded history with The Quincy race as a whole. Ergo, rather than wait for the elephant in the room to show itself at a later date, The Vanguard chose to send him to get this ugly scar out of the way and see if they could accept this person as an ally in this new generation and age that all races and factions have found themselves in.

And it is for this reason that the golden haired shinigami was now standing in the midst of the winter cold on the edges of Stadt des Lichts. The Vanguard had already sent an alert of their arrival to most of the higher-ups within The Vandenreich. Therefore, this would not be seen as enemy action and they were described as being here on purely diplomatic terms.

Thus, for now, a platoon of Vanguard soldiers had arrived out of a mass, black aerial craft that seemed as if it could fit an entire military inside. There were dozens and dozens of well-powered and heavily armed Vanguardian soldiers standing around the craft. However, further away from it, the giant himself stood alone and waited for whoever The Quincy would send to show themselves.

"These meetings are such a pain in the ass. This shit better move quick before I lose my patience."

There was a gruff sense of distaste to his raspy voice; as having to wait for much of anything related to politics irritated him greatly. More than anything else, Radioactive was more keen to see their fighting spirit, but fighting spirit alone did not make a civilized planet. It was a fucking buzzkill, but business is business. He just hoped whoever they sent would not waste his time like the last Quincy he met.

As the memories of the alleged "Mother Quincy" and "First Quincy" Nozomi were still burning strongly in his mind. The woman outright disgusted him as he had no interest in dissolving his people of Russia to her insane cult following and bullshit promises of a utopia. Hopefully, The Vandenreich wouldn't try to give him that nonsense and try and force it down his throat. Otherwise, he estimates that there won't be much of an island to call home if they test his patience like that again.

But, alas, there was nothing much more to do but relax, enjoy winter breeze and allow the frigid air to slap against his bare and scarred chest. With his only gold eye staring out at the horizon, the seven foot eleven male would zone out and allow himself to trance out of this boring shit until they decided to get their act in order.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A

Pitiful

The meeting was in order from an agreement supposedly made by the Executive, and people beyond her pay grade. The only aspect of the meeting that didn’t seem like a complete waste of time was the presence of Radioactive. While most Quincy wouldn’t have had an opinion of the man, unless they lived long enough to care about the past, Sofia stood as a definite singularity. Her upbringing, the Montero legacy, and the effect the towering baboon had on the past of the Quincy certainly influenced her view. She didn’t like him. That much would’ve been obvious to anyone with a brain. On the other hand, she did have class, manners, and a behavior that exuded professionalism and ethic, something the oaf likely couldn’t understand.

”You know, that’s an awful lot of men for a simple meeting.”

Her soft seemingly calming voice would be noticed just moments before her figure made her visible to all around her. Whether her spiritual energy was felt before or not was not a concern of hers, as she wasn’t really trying to hide it or suppress it in the slightest. Although with many of the individuals possessing spiritual signals that either matched or exceeded hers, it would be difficult to believe one would purposely focus on her, without truly knowing who she was or her identity, at least not without seeing her first.

She couldn’t quite remember if she had seen the man before. It seemed like it was the first time meeting him, though most of the stories she had heard made it difficult to separate myth from reality. Only a few things were truly certain however. She wasn’t scared of him in the slightest. She didn’t care about his opinion on her organization, and most importantly, she wasn’t all that impressed. That didn’t mean she wasn’t interested in the ideas of the Vanguard however. That was a completely different affair. She was tasked with speaking with the man, and trying her best to find agreements and common grounds that would foster a form of alliance, rather than a more distant and violent driven atmosphere of discord. Still, she had to admit he didn’t seem as bad or as dangerous as she imagined. Granted, much like an iceberg, she knew the brunt of his might was kept in check. Even then, she found it difficult to believe this was the man so many had spoken of in the past. In a way, it was kind of a disappointment.

”You seem in a hurry. We already agree on something. Great.”

Her words should not have come off as cold or challenging; not in the slightest. She simply didn’t come off as the uber friendly and jovial self she usually portrayed. The reasons were obvious, and they should’ve been, specially to Radioactive. She was doing her best, and she seemed composed, calm, and collected. The one known as the Quincy prodigy was able to stand his presence, and prolonged conversation however lengthy with him. However she wasn’t required to find grace in him or like him. Not quite yet anyways. In a contrasting fashion to his arrival, Sofia had quite a lot less men around her. There seemed to be about two or three Quincy, dressed in a similarly white looking attire as her, several feet behind. As for her, she seemed devoid of weapons or anything strikingly unusual save for a black violin case she kept in one of her hands. A hobby of hers, it wasn’t unlikely that she was rehearsing a new musical piece to distract herself in preparation for his arrival.

”Name is Sofia. Welcome to the city.”

Keeping her eyes locked to his, there was no overwhelming or imbalance of emotions in her words. Instead, there seemed to be a steady stream that was constant yet strong as a wall. She didn’t seem angry or irritated. She seemed as though she was intent on something, whatever it was, but possessing the will and tenacity to see whatever her mind desired to its utmost fulfilling end. As she spoke, her free hand would be motioned forward towards the much taller Shinigami in an attempt to shake his hand. If he shook her hand, then that would be it. Of course, he would be welcome to refuse the handshake, further proving the way she imagine him to be, and sparing her the notion of having done so.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

The world was on the brink of a new Era, and Hayden was helping guide it there one meeting at a time.

On board of the onyx black ship which was near the Quincy land was a figure known as The Reagent General of the Vanguard along with the King-Militant of Vastime; better known as Hayden. This meeting held a lot on it considering that both the Vanguardian advisors and his own in his home nation had encouraged this, seeing that the sooner it be done the quicker they may make assessment levels of the threat they posed. However, Hayden was here for much more lax terms- to simply accompany his Master of Arms Radioactive and see how the shark beast handled it all. Few actual personnel reports had been done the past year and Hayden through this would be a great chance to kill a few birds with a nuclear bomb.

As he walked through the halls wearing his Vanguardian uniform, an assortment of ribbons and medals adorned his chest both earned from his service within the Vanguard and outside of it. Hayden had always held a sense of purpose and commanding authority but now that he held some of the most powerful offices it was amplified as soldiers rendered salutes as he passed making his way to the exit ramp with a small detail of soldiers he was shadowing. In due time he would meet his old friend along with perhaps a new one.

The ship in question was the second model of a ship Hayden had designed at the beginning of this year called ‘The Dreadnaught.’ A massive ship that was built utilizing both Yuudeshi and Vanguardian resources that spanned over a mile in length and held a considerable number of personnel, it was being used as both a mobile command center and an instrument of Vanguardian power to the world. It was as strong as it was symbolic to the new generations; the Vanguard have returned stronger than ever.

As he made his way down the ramp he would see Radioactive speaking to a fair skinned woman who possessed a fair skin tone just as himself, her body adorned with her own version of a militarized uniform. His eyes would focus on them as he made his casual stride over, but his More Duck always remaining tall and unyielding but relaxed as if he was heading to a simple businss meeting. In his head this was all this way truly, a meeting for both of their business and interest to see if they could fit together in this new world being formed.

‘I prey to whatever gods are watching over this, that we do find that common ground,’ he mused within his head as he arrived upon the final words being spoken. He didn’t quite know if Radioactive would salute him or not considering they were both military men but he did not expect it. If he did he would ender one back before dropping it turning to face the new woman with a curious smile on his face. He did not know of her but the best he could do was to make simple introductions, those tended to be the best way to break the ice.

“Good Afternoon, Sofia, I apologize for the sudden presence but I found myself wanting to be present for this if it is fine with The Master of Arms.” Hayden explained extending his hand to the woman. “ I am Desmond Hayden, Reagent General of the Vanguard; do please feel free to refer to me as Desmond or Hayden” He offered to her, in his recent times he was learning to shy away from using his last name so much as he was told ‘Using your first name will help people open up to him’ but it was all the same to him.

Mending Nuclear Scars [Vanguard/Vandenreich Incursion Mission] [Radioactive/Sofia] [Ask To Join] 6EdIfMt

Artist: The Engima - Song: The Glass Alice - Word Count: N/A

After awhile, it seemed The Quincy finally got a roll on and sent what appeared to be a petite woman out at him. Now, while Radioactive can be considered by many people he comes across, the man didn't necessarily care much for physical appearances when it came to measuring ones worth. He has conversed and fought against orwith mad men, people with nothing left to lose, spirits driven entirely by passion and the most foul and corrupt souls this realm has to offer. Therefore, the aestheics of the woman were secondary and irrevelant compared to the radiance her soul had to offer to him.

And, from his initial impressions from her energies atmosphere, it was apparent there was a sense of stiffness behind it. Radioactive was a person who had a knack for reading the auras of other spirits and it was apparent she possessed hardened a soul of some kind. However, with that tenseness lay an obvious distaste for the male. How did he know? Simple: body language. He didn't need an otherworldly power to hear the forced politeness beyond her voice, the reserved movements of her arms and the little things one picks up on when paying attention to someone's face.

So, with that much discerned, the giant couldn't help but give a gruff chuckle and give her a retort.

"Tch. Don't blame me for that. The organizers of this little playdate want our people to mingle."

The lone eye of The Nuclear Giant never set its sights off the feminine figure for a moment. As it was clear he was still measuring her up and comparing her to quincy of the past he had encountered. If there was an obvious distaste for him from the get-go, then it was clear there were some reservations and contempt held for his actions of the past. Something he would rather face headfirst than bother hiding or running away like a coward.

The man was a person to deal with his past with the most earnest and blunt sense of direction. As it is this determination that allowed his spirit to resonate such brutality and translate it into such an ungodly strength. One that ought to be comparable to some sort of blessed child of The Soul King if he ever gave a damn about that sorry excuse for a deity.

Digressing, he'd merely nod his head and utter these words out to Sofia to otherwise find a sense of common ground:

"S'pose I do. I doubt either of us wants to freeze our asses off in this godforsaken winter; dicking around and wasting time with idle chit chat that goes nowhere. As I'm damn aware of my past and it isn't something that is exactly a secret. So we'll cut to the chase and figure out this today: where the hell do you Quincy stand with relations to The Vanguard knowing I'm one of their commanding officers?"

The arms of Radioactive would then fold over and he'd tilt his head to the side after he got his point across. While the tone of his voice was rather rough and dry, there didn't seem to be too much aggression seen behind his face. Instead, he seemed more intrigued and wanting to understand where their stance was at this point in time. While he was a monster in combat, Radioactive had no reason to become aggressive or seek hostile action at this point in time. Perhaps it was the dealings of meetings in the past with his mother country of Russia, but perhaps he had grown enough to be able to hold his own and navigate through the inner-workings of political babble without losing his shit.

"Aye. I can feel the sense of welcome already. Thanks."

Before he could indulge her further in deeper conversations, this train of thought was cut off by the presence of The Vanguard's leader emerging behind the duo. With a single glance of his gold eye, Radioactive nodded his head and greeted the new commander in charge. Sure, he was probably expecting things to go south with the worried aura radiating from his spirit's energy, but Radioactive wasn't one to go off the handle without a good reason.

"Far be it from me to stop you from making this a party."

There was then a gruff chuckle and shrug of his shoulders as Radioactive sincerely did not care who showed up; just as long as they resolved this matter and got to the root of the issue and killed the elephant in the room. So, after acknowledging Hayden, his gaze would shift back to The Quincy and he'd ponder what her response to all of this would be and where she intended to go with this meeting between their two people. Would she be able to overlook the scars of the past? Or would she be intent on bringing this war to the new generation? Only mother time knew the answer to that question.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: Simply 3 - Song: Somewhere Only We Know [Strings]

“So it would seem.”

Sofia had heard of the idea of an alliance with the Vanguard. She had perused over some of the correspondence that had been exchanged in an effort to lead up to and set the stage up for the meeting at hand. The Quincy prodigy wasn’t entirely sure where she stood in regards to an alliance however. Part of her saw it as something that was necessary. Despite her best efforts to believe otherwise, they still weren’t at the point where they could claim to be a strong enough force to threaten, let alone dethrone the Demons...not yet anyways. While allying with the Vanguard did not ensure it either, it did make the progression towards the fated violent finale of the spiritual wars to come, all the more balanced. Still, there was something to be said about pride. Both the pride instilled in her by the Montero family, and the Quincy pride of old that seemed so decadent and lost during present times, even with members of as equally high standing as her.

On second thought, she still couldn’t shake the idea that Radioactive just looked so much different than she had imagined. The man was history. He was myth. He was the embodiment of something she both hated but also admired in a dark, twisted, and certainly to unspoken way. She disliked what he had done to her people hundreds of years ago. In a way however, it had been necessary. To cull the mistaken ideas would eventually lead to a much stronger organization with more firm foundational values reflected on the Wandenreich of today. In the depths of her heart however, she was also glad for some other reasons she wasn’t quite able to fully understand at the time. She was well aware that despite her power, she was no match for him, yet. The idea that she could progress to one day potentially best the man that no Quincy was ever able to triumph over in combat was a created an unreal feeling that surged through her, and elicited all kind of sensations that were unheard of and unknown to the famous Musician. In a strange way, she wanted to make a name for herself beyond just the actions and the direction she took the Wandenreich in. She wanted to go above and beyond the best members of her past, in all of history, in ways she was yet to fully come to understand.

He seemed less violent. Less barbaric. Less inclined to fight and push other’s thoughts with his own, denying the notion of progress, of alliance, and of friendship and commitment. In a way, he seemed distant from the man she envisioned slaughtering thousands of Quincy. No doubt he could still be or become that man if he so desired. Granted she still didn’t like him, and she still didn’t fully trust him. But the persona she saw before her allowed her enough room to try and give him a chance, however little, to try and prove his worth. In an effort to allow him to try and redeem himself, she would award him a slight benefit of the doubt, and just a ray of hope she hoped he would take and illuminate his path. Hopefully this time it would lead him on a white road embedded with names he could call on, rather than stains of blood that bored his footprints wherever he walked. He had blood on his hands, and if she knew well, they would still be stained. What he did from now on, would dictate just how well he would do with his chance to allow others, namely Sofia to try and wash his hands completely clean of it.

“Hang on, hold on just a minute. Let me get this straight. Dios bendito.”

Pressing a couple fingers in the space between her eyes, she would close these as a semi annoyed, and perhaps even slightly irritated breath was audibly forced out. The tone of voice from the man didn’t bother her. Not in the slightest. Honestly, if anything she was surprised he hadn’t acted a bit more animalistic and barbaric. Though that would have only proved to her what she already imagined him to be and behave like prior to their meeting. Instead, drawing another hefty breath, she curled a thick strand of her short ebony black hair into the index finger of her right hand and continued on.

“So you came to our house, with all your men, and all your glory, seeking an alliance with my people, and you don’t even know where we stand?”

To be quite honest, she had a very different and distinct choice of words she would have preferred to use. But, in an effort to be civil, and maintain the classy and professional behavior that was expected of her, she had chosen to go the more adequate and formal route. She was in awe no doubt though. His question was pretty much an insult to their very meeting, and it lacked all kinds of etiquette and respect. The meeting wasn’t some child’s game. It didn’t decide who took which land, or who kept certain resources. The meeting was an effort to bring together two seemingly powerful organizations in an effort to withstand the might of even greater and darker foes. Yet, here they were, with all their might, and all their technology, and all their men, and the individual speaking for them, didn’t even know what their to-be allies believed in. Hell, in that scenario, the Wandenreich might have been just as they were during the times of Yhwach. She highly doubted they’d make an alliance with that. It lacked principle to come without knowing at least some of what they believed in. And if Radioactive truly did know, and was merely trying to push some buttons or further an agenda, she would suggest he thought carefully about his word choice, lest he cared to jeopardize whatever agreement they could have reached for the sake of being witty, impulsive, and rather unprepared.

She couldn’t help but draw a few comparisons however. At the moment, the Vanguard didn’t seem much different than the Wandenreich of old, back when Yhwach still led them. Perhaps not in ideals or concept, but there were certainly some similarly defining traits, at least from what she gathered upon first impressions. The Vanguard, just like the Quincy of old, amassed power that was feared, and that could stand up to most. However, they lacked the very basic foundations like organization. Even with all their fleet, even with all their ranks, and even with all the might and knowledge they might possess, organization and preparation still needed work as displayed by Radioactive’s question. In the end, victory loved preparation. Though to be fair, the same had led to the Quincy’s downfall in the past. Beyond the misguided ideals of their leader, despite the heft of the weight of their power, the lack of basic organization beyond the ranks eventually led to their own downfall. And she feared the Vanguard would follow suit if they didn’t invest the time to reform the basic foundations, instead of wasting time, money, and resources on refining minor things and expanding on matters that didn’t really matter all that much. She couldn’t help but take a moment to look at the colossal ship they had arrived in, chuckling at it but granting no explanation as to the reason of her reaction.

“Let me make it easy and put it in words that are easy to understand.”

Noticing the man that seemed to be Hayden, the famous musician would speak a bit louder this time around, to make sure he heard as well what would be spoken to both of them.

“The Quincy stand for humanity. Not for one man, or a group of man, but for all of them. We fight for a new world, to create a life, to create happiness, and to pursue it without the fear of persecution, of harm, or death from those with greater power and dark agendas. We believe the current times upon us are but the passing of greed. The greed from entities that want more than they should, that conquer and rule over our people with dark demonic fists. But their might and their hold will loosen, and the power will return to humanity. For that end we fight. As a self proclaimed evolution to humanity, we fight to deliver the Earth back onto their hands and away from the ruling Demonic hands.”

To be fair, she had added in quite a bit of her own beliefs to the idea. While it may not have been truly the concrete belief of the organization, it encompassed it to almost its entirety, while adding the core values that made her fight and push on the way she did. She was well aware of the intentions and the beliefs of the Vanguard. Even then however, some clarification would be indeed welcomed from their end. They seemed to seek balance, freedom and peace for all. Their goals didn’t seem limited to just humans, but by aggregation, they were also within the confines of their goals. While their ideas weren’t they same, there were definite common grounds in their efforts for peace in a world where the demons did not rule and move their agenda of chaos about at their whim.

Once she had spoken, she would turn momentarily to face Hayden. She had to admire the military look of his clothes. In a way, it was very much like hers despite the inherent difference in colors and design. At their core, they were both uniforms. Uniforms, among other things were meant to showcase unity, alignment, a code of conduct and the adherence to some kind of rule and regulations that were ought to be followed. There was a reason soldiers in the military weren’t allowed to just wear anything, lest they wished to gamble with the outcomes their offense would yield. Still, there was a contrasting moment in regards to organization as it anchored back to her comparison to the Quincy of old. An uniform and ranks did not always indicate the basic structure of organization. Yhwach had uniforms as well. There was still the matter of Radioactive’s question earlier, and the precedent it set, specially on a meeting where first impressions were highly important.

“Please don’t,” she’d speak in what seemed to be the most subtle of semi playful tones of voice, “I’m supposed to keep them in check.”

She was referring to the comment of a party made just moments earlier. And by them she referred to the Quincy at large. As the Captain of the Jagdarmee, it was her duty to uphold the law, and make sure Quincy remained in check, following the rules and stipulations set for them. She was the engine and the fuel that moved the Wandenreich forward ensuring that order and procedures were being followed. She would not allow disarray to happen onto her people, and jeopardize their survival and their goals as had happened to the Quincy of old. Despite her young age, the 24 year old woman was known as a prodigy not just for her musical and combat skills, but for the mature and refined mentality she possessed, easily besting in said field people whose experience exceeded her by over a millennia. On the back of her mind however, she did have to wonder what a party, organized and orderly of course, would look like among them in an effort to bolster the foundations of their alliance.

Extending her hand, she would shake Hayden’s as well. By comparison, both Hayden and Radioactive’s hand would likely feel different than hers. Despite being strong in her own ways, her hands would have felt soft, smooth, delicate, and small, in somewhat of a reflective comparison to the nature of her graceful and refined artistic style of her techniques. Taking a step back to speak to both of them at once, she would make an offer that would have likely been welcomed and agreed by all parties present.

“Would you care to follow me inside, please? It might be more comfortable inside.”

While the meeting could be held outside if they so desired, there was no real reason to do so when the city housed a plethora of facilities that could accommodate them with much more refinement. If agreed upon, Sofia would lead the way, her men walking alongside her. The buildings seemed to display a matching white look to the white military uniform she sported. White pants, and matching white top and opened jacket, offset only by a blue scarf around her neck, and black boots and matching gloves. The group would be directed to a very large building that seemed to extend high up and almost as far as the eyes could see. It was the building that was usually used as a courthouse. It was the place the Jagdarmee used to rule and pass judgement over Quincy that had broken the law. This time around however, rather than pass judgement and rule a sentence, it would be used by rather different parties to find the means to work together to rule sentence on a world that was past due for a hearing in respect to its morality and the crimes that had been levied upon it.

“Hot mocha, and please bring the gentleman whatever drink they desire.”

Speaking to her men, one would leave to bring her request, while the other two would near Hayden and Radioactive, assuming they wanted anything at all. While on a perfect world Rum would have been her drink of choice, in an effort to be more professional, she had opted for the more tactful and fitting drink. If they desired water or alcohol however, either choice would be likely accommodated it. And while there would be no spoken scolding, there would likely be some reservations and inner mental discord depending on the choice of drink they opted for or in the refusal to have anything at all. With the meeting taking a turn that seemed to be for the better, the stage was set for a discussion that created a precedent, both in the union of powerful parties, as well as the potential foreshadow of the demise of dark entities that opposed them.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

Hayden would listen to these words as a smile spread across his face as if he knew something that no one else knew as he curiously examined her. The way she spoke reminded him of a certain Colonel to a point but what was even more fascinating was the words she spoke, as they sounded extremely familiar to the man. Maybe it was pure chance but it sounded like to him a speech made long ago in a world that was much simpler than the current on they fought in, one in which he understood and founded the ideas of Vastime upon. But he had to address something first as his hands went behind his back as he held a attentive stance to her as if she now had his full attention.

“The Great Dictator, a speech made by Sir Charles Chaplin; it seems you know of it as well or simply hold the same ideas of the man. He spoke the same way regarding his opposition to Nazi Germany and it’s effect on the world calling us to action.” He explained wondering if Radioactive knew what Hayden was referring to, if he did not or she did not he would sigh shaking his head almost dismissed. However, regardless he would add onto his statement.

“I wrote a paper during my human years on that very speak, ‘Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness.’” He would quote a small portion of the speech with an almost youthfulness to his fondness for the words uttered out of his mouth. Those words if she understood them and Radioactive himself where the very reason he had come here. He knew of the Quincy goals and he was sure Radioactive did but Hayden believed his question wasn’t directed at their beliefs but how they personally want to feel about the Vanguard considering Radioactive is apart of them.
“ I believe you misunderstand my companion here, the goals and such of your organization is well known between both I and I would like to believe my people. I have spoke with Nelfheim personally on some of those matters, but I think Radioactive is referencing how your people feel about Radioactive being apart of the Vanguard and how that makes you want to progress our current relationship.” He clarified in a even tone a smile gracing his lips as the aura of worry he exude had subsided for one of a more peaceful one, but there was a tension to him like a coil ready to burst if it needed to. There was no malice but he certainly knew his purpose and wouldn’t stand for it to be damaged..

As Sofia made it known she wanted them to follow her Hayden would give a brief nod waiting to follow behind her with his compatriot, his eyes scanning the area as his Vanguardian soldiers remained near the airship eyeing some of the Quincies seeming always at the ready but relaxed for the meantime. Things where going to go smooth if it was the last act Hayden made, this alliance could help bring the earth to a new forefront but that did not mean his self respect and pride would be tossed out the window to do it.

None the less he would follow her as they made their way to the location which she brought them, taking note of her drink choice almost in a approving hum as he was asked what he might like to drink. “Ginger Ale.” An odd choice but one which Hayden loved dearly, in fact it was his favorite drink before death and now- quite strange to think about as he then brought about his next question; despite if they were standing or had taken a seat.

“You speak of humanity but I must ask, do you mean the act of being human and having love and care for your fellow man despite his race or creed, or do you simply mean humans?” He would drop this rather heavy question upon her, his eyes settling on her as his brown irises seem to focus utterly on her, this was a question that could be interpreted as either her views on it or the Vandenreich views. As such he would find it to be crucial her answer to this.

Artist: TNG - Song: Catacombs of Paris - Word Count: N/A

Radioactive wasn't one not to notice the subtle changes that a person may have in their body expressions. It is why he diverted some of his resources towards paying attention to the way her voice expressed itself, the way her body moved and the aura of the Quincy's energy. So, from his judgments, it was clear this bitch was uptight and very anal about the way she managed her ship. If even the slightest thing went astray, she'd more than likely have a fit and that was rather amusing to him as opposed to annoying. It made her an easy target to agitate from the persepctive Radioactive was sitting at and fun to play with if she decided to keep this attitude up with them.

However, for the sake of diplomacy, he'd let it slide and correct her with what he meant with a shark-toothed grin. As, throughout her entire little tirade, the woman didn't seem to notice one thing: he wasn't referring to where they stood with the Vanguard, their history or any of that; all of that was public knowledge and he had been briefed on that much. What he was NOT aware of was where this NEW generation of Quincy was going when it came to the whole gruesome history between this nuclear giant and it's people.

So, Radioactive would hold up one finger, invade the personal space of Sofia without much care and cease her needless rambling as it just sounded like a bunch of hot air to him. Then, depending on her reaction, he would simply move that hand back and tilt his head to the side.

"Little woman, I don't need a lecture on the origins of your people. With all the blood on my hands, I know more than enough about your kind. I asked where do your people stand when it comes to me being one of the commanding forces in the Vanguard. The former bastards in power didn't a single care about my presence, but you all might be a new breed. So answer that."

When finished making his peace, Radioactive would allow for Sofia to say whatever she want so long as she understood that fact crystal clear. Which is why his attention soon drifted away from him, and more so back to his men. As they seemed more than a little curious to have some fun, but the male understood that this was becoming more of a crowd. So, he'd nod his head at one of his subordinates in order to send a non-verbal message: "get out of here". After the soldier witnessed that, he gave him a salute and many of the Vanguard soldiers in the area were seen assembling and beginning to retreat back into the blackened ship nearby.

"The party has been kept in check. So let's have our own inside."

With a nonchalant chuckle given, The Nuclear Beast soon shrugged his shoulders and began to enter the building. After observing the sights and seeing everything around them, this placed seemed really -- hygienic. Too hygienic, in fact. So, a comment needed to be made.

"Christ, this place is sterile..."

Though, before he could grumble too much, it appeared that there were mulitple men already waiting at the hands and feet in order to take his order. And, without a single moment of hestiation, Radiaoctive already uttered out what he desired:

"A dozen bottles of vodka. You should be able to supply that. Otherwise, don't waste my time with getting anything."

The sounds of the male's neck would be heard popping throughout the area as he loosened his joints. Soon his knuckles popped, wrist and shoudlers until he let out a gruff sigh and turned his gold eye towards Hayden. There was a look of disgust seen in his face because of the fact that Nazi's weren't exactly his cup of tea. Even today the Russians and Germans aren't exactly the best of friends. So that little stroll down memory lane isn't one that is fond for his people.

"Not a fan of Nazi's. So Charles Chaplin got points for that."

He kept it short, simple and to the point before his face eased back to a neutral expression.

"Now that we are inside: give me your answer now that you understand where we are, Sofia."

Right. That woman was still there. His attention had been pulled in so many directions over the course of the past few actions that he had honestly forgotten about her for a moment. So, he wanted to get an affirmation on where they stood before this whole meeting carried on any further.

And -- he wanted his vodka quick and in a hurry to. That was important as well.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A

All throughout history, whether one looked at the spiritual or otherwise, alliances seemed to be a fleeting thing. Simply put, they hardly ever lasted, and if it did, naturally it wasn’t for long. For an alliance to last, a myriad of other factors needed to be involved which included but were not limited to tyranny, subjugation, and other equally fun and dandy terms. Granted at that point one would question the validity of one party to want to join another, but if a situation ever reached that kind of scenario, it would be safe to assume one party already held their interest and their values way above the rest. In talking to the two gentleman before her, it was obvious why alliances were much easier to break than to make. On one hand there was a relic of the past, that had no pull other than the atrocities he made, whatever the motive. A being that sought some kind of refuge in the shit he participated in, and acted like the world owed him anything more than a quick look and an estranged feeling of abandonment. On the other hand, a man that had seemed to grow up watching way too many movies, and reading way too many books regarding the military. He seemed to have participated in some fashion that related to the king, and through some skill and talent of his own, believed he was the righteous, almighty hand that delivered justice. When, put simply, he was just another hypocritical being with an agenda that seemed righteous only to himself and those that agreed with one. Quite frankly, she was very hypocritical herself, but she wasn’t denying that either. At the end, every being was good, and every cause was righteous if it aligned with your own biased view. Always the same. It never changed.

”I have no distaste for other races. Quite frankly I have no need or want to see them suffer nor do I have any inclination to go out of my way to die for them either. But yes, my plight is for the humans. By extension I do help those that need it, but I’m not dedicated to others nearly as much as I am to my kind.”

It was best to say things straight than beat around the bush. After all, things were always worse when people employed the subtle use of ideas without being straightforward. Lies, just like facts would be found sooner than later, and she had no intention of hiding her own motives and her own drive. She didn’t really care much for the other races. Now that didn’t mean she wished harm on them. For the Quincy, it wasn’t beyond them to help those in need, be they human or not. Likewise it wasn’t beyond them to put down people that were far too gone, again, be they human or not. At the end of the day, her plight remained with the humans. That most likely wasn’t the same ideal as the Vanguard, but there was a reason why they were two different organizations.

As Radioactive spoke, she could only help but grin and listen. At some point, certain people learned that it was best to channel frustration and disappointment through better means like smiling or remaining quiet, than lashing out. Unfortunately the same could not be said for all. Some people lived to be very old, and lived to see quite a lot, yet they lacked the intellect and the manners to behave in ways that mirrored their own age: case in point, the ones before her. Regardless, he wanted an answer, and she would give him one. Leaning over, she looked puzzled, almost surprised as she looked around the Russian.

”No… you, don’t seem hurt. Are you sure no one hit you on the way in? Did someone try? preposterous.

The sarcasm was obvious. Whether well played or not didn’t matter to her. She wasn’t actually trying to pass it off as cool, just obvious. With a sigh, she would lean back against whatever surface was closer to her to give a proper response, hopefully in a way he could actually understand.

”Listen here. We are very aware. And honestly I couldn’t give two shits about you. But I have to. You know, following orders and all. I actually thought you kicked the bucket, and since an alliance is all about honesty and what not, I kind of hoped you had. You don’t need a lecture on my people? You’d think the same would go towards you eh? People are well aware who you are. I’m not pressing the point that we could kill you, or even harm you. But if we didn’t want you here, we would’ve definitely tried already. So cut the shit. Its obvious someone wants this to work, so let’s get past the petty crap and be done with this. And move your sausage finger away from me.”

That was as simple as she could put it. There was hardly another way she could think of dumbing down her words to make sense to him. Though, judging by the way the two higher ups behaved, perhaps if she explained it to one of theirs grunts, they could in turn pass on the message in a much more familiar manner; one they could actually comprehend. It was pretty obvious though. And it angered her in a way that he couldn’t see it. Obviously he wasn’t liked. The hell if he would. But the fact that no one had tried anything meant they were okay with him being there. It had nothing to do with whether or not they could take him. He had already killed beings of their kind in the past that exceeded their power so death wasn’t really that much of a surprise. She taught all her man to welcome death with open arms if it meant dying with a cause. Beyond that, his behavior was comical. He deserved respect? Why? Because of his power? Bullshit. Respect was something that was earned through actions and he had earned none of it. He was a guest. A guest. One that had a hell of a way before he could be viewed as someone likeable. At the present time, he was simply enough to stand, and only because she was ordered to. And from the looks of it, the other guy would follow suit.

Once they were inside and the drinks were requested, Sofia felt at much ease. The meeting could continue to go sour, or maybe the could move on to more light hearted topics and make some progress rather than cock-check their own ego. Speaking of ego, more and more seemed to come out on display as the drinks were ordered. The manner in which Radioactive ordered his left a lot to be desired. It spoke a lot to the kind of person she saw him to be even before they met. It also spoke a lot about the non combat training of the Vanguard. If the officials behaved like that, one could only guess the behavior the grunts partaken in. It seemed as though their combat training and technological prowess was the only thing they could boast about, since, at a first glance, their discipline was lacking, and even saying so was being nice. Before the servers left however, Sofia would call over the one that tended to Radioactive. His face seemed flush, not out of fear but rather out of anger. He was asked rather rudely. But beyond that, he couldn’t really say anything out of chance of being punished by his Captain.

”Stefan come here. Get the special box. All of it.”

Soon after most of the drinks would arrive. All but Radioactive’s. Sofia would make no comment about it, and simply sip of her own rum. He did want a very specific order or nothing at all, so he seemed content with not getting anything anyways.

”I’m done answering questions. You’re up. Why us? I mean, by popular opinion we were one of the bad guys in the past. There’s a few organizations like that around, some bigger, some smaller. Some even have a few members stronger than any of us in here. So why?”

A little while later a nice box of a dozen bottles of vodka would arrive, sealed. Placed on a table, Radioactive could get it and open it if he desired or leave it be. Either way, it didn’t matter. She didn’t agree with the decision of the executive to ally with them. But, unlike what she had seen earlier, she knew how to follow orders and behave accordingly except on the face of utter immaturity and lack of ethics and adult behavior.
