CALM BEFORE THE STORM
Artist: Hyuman - Song: His Theme (Japantale) - Word Count: N/A
It certainly was hectic for a day like this. Constant conversation, large amounts of people gathered for food, jobs -- all of them going for the regular, daily grind. For Henrex, this was not the case. There was never a regular routine, or anything like that. Every day presented something new. Today was presenting something that he never thought he would be able to bring himself to do -- teach others the way of the ninja. Or, simply teach in general. He had never really thought of himself as a teacher, but simply a student that wished to learn and spread his knowledge.
Henrex knew that, if he wanted to spread his knowledge, he would have to teach others what he knew. It wasn't even just that he wanted
to teach them -- but because it was his duty to. The way of the ninja was dying, and soon, the old ways would be forgotten entirely. He would not let that happen. He had to pass the torch on to others. One of the very first people to show up was Ritsuko, the Russian Quincy. He was really looking forward to this. He knew that Ritsuko was eager to learn, something that mirrored his internal eagerness to teach people the old ways.
So, as he walked through the Vastime Nation's Iron Banner, he could feel the small bursts of her energy among the crowd, and he could feel the intent within her energy. She was looking for him, as well as he was looking for her. Well, that wouldn't take much longer. As Henrex squeezed his way through the crowd, heading towards the source of Ritsuko's energy signature. Coming closer and closer, and feeling her presence much more clearly with each step, Henrex was soon able to reach out and graze the arm of the Quincy with his hand.
Stepping from the crowd, and now standing behind her, Henrex smiled as he stood before the girl, before his hand lowered itself to his side, resting on the handle of his Zanpakuto."It's good to see you, Ritsuko. I'm truly glad that you showed up. Before we get started, however, we should probably go to the training grounds, since this is not something that we can do with such chaotic, and loud things."
As he said this, Henrex swiftly turned, before softly gesturing the girl to follow him towards the Vastimian training grounds, then walking in that direction. As the time would pass, there would be things that ran through Henrex's mind -- mostly that of how his "lesson plans" would be structured, figuring out what all interested Ritsuko in terms of the things that he had to offer her for learning...but there was something else that was on his mind. That was the question of -- why?
Why had she chosen to take this on? She had to have a reason for wanting to learn, especially the ways of the ninja. So, to bring this to light, Henrex would ask her of this. It would allow him to bring more structure to his plans, give him a further level of semblance of Ritsuko, her aspirations, as well as her own plans, along with Henrex being able to give her what she wanted."Why are you here, Ritsuko? Why do you want to learn from me? What do you want to learn from me? There has to be something that is causing you to come to me to learn something so very old. I'm curious."
