The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

Downtown Karakura, a city bustling with life as busy traffic filled the streets. Bright neon lights set the dusk filled town aglow, and even as moonlight began to fill the sky, people continued to enjoy there night out on the town. Many establishment's served as minor tourist attractions, one of which being the nearby Karakura technology museum. Among moving vehicles and collective sounds of pedestrians, the people below were none the wiser of what was to come next. Unaware to the humans below, an anomaly began to form. Slipping through a massive black and white portal that seemingly ripped through the very fabric of space, a massive tower of a monster slipped through.

Hidden from the eyes of the average mortal, one by one, a group of six Gillian-class Menos marched forth, free from their desert domain to bring about horror and chaos with their grotesque forms. Towering over buildings, cars came to a crash as their large bodies filled the streets. Among the silence of the eerie hollows, a loud growl could be heard, one that belonged to a single fox that hung fangs-deep along the side of the lead hollows form. "Grrr...." Compared to the size of its prey, Liacaru was but a single speck no larger than a mere insect to a large beast, yet that fact didn't stop his assault. In fact, the attack seemed oddly successful, as less and less of the towering figure remained, almost as if it were being swallowed hole, into something much smaller than itself.

An eventful day would have been an understatement of what the young man was going through today, first having to go through the forest to pick up his summons, which, he hadn't been sure that she would have been cooperative or not and had to spend time to convince that he was the real deal. Then there was the search for his wristband device within the compact and heavily populated city of Karakura City. Who would have thought that in such a highly defensive area that such an attack would happen? But it was certainly the case, Lex barely even walking a block away from the museum of technology before it all happened. The small vixen that he had sent to the library earlier finally met up with him again, having hopped onto his shoulder and were talking about what they were going to be doing next.

Minerva was inside in the museum, at the cafe where Lex had called out that he would join her for lunch once he was done with his meeting with Nina, but before the small vixen could get another word out, the two were gawking in awe at the towering mass of a demon that had just popped up in the middle of the city, screeching out at deafening levels. "Master! I'm getting nothing through the scans! It's an anomaly!" the small vixen screamed out, the sudden screeching of what seemed like large black abyss almost drowning out Nina's words. "Yeah I figured as much! Minerva should be back in a minute or two, we're going to have to keep whatever the hell this is at bay." he screamed back, pulling out his scouter and putting it over his face, pressing a few buttons on it to power up the piece of technology.

He couldn't help but grit his teeth in frustration, the wristband that he had just retrieved a few minutes ago was still in the process of deleting old information, so there was no way he would be able to use it during this fight still since it would take hours for it to be operational again. For now, Lex was going to have to prepare for the fight of his life, concentrating on the thought of dust suddenly gravitating towards the both of them from the immediate area and then latched onto both him and the vixen on his shoulder. Nina was also concentrating, providing the man that she was perched with more energy while he casted the current spell. All the while he started to run to ground zero at top speed, pulling out his fifty caliber pistol from his holster as a determined look came over his face. 'I doubt things like this happen often here, so be advised that we don't want to do too much and be mistaken for the ones that are enemies here.' he telepathically warned the vixen, causing her to nod in response as she focused on the task at hand again.

The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty Re: The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

Steadying his hold, the small fox bunkered down along the side of it's foe. Ravenously, the adjucha began swallowing away large portions of the hollow. In a single breath, the dark colored spiritual being began to vanish, bit by bit as if it were nothing more than a vapor mist. Just what was this fox? How did something so small manage to not only defeat, but devour something of such size to such an intense degree.

Relishing in his meal, he was quickly snapped back to reality as the very thing he perched upon was now gone, leaving him to fall several stories through the air. Free falling, the nimble fox managed to catch himself upon a street pole as he stood with a balanced stance. One seemed to of been handled easily enough, but the same couldn't be said for the other five. Buildings crumbled, cars crashed, just from the Great Hollows movements alone. Streets filled with panic from the seemingly invisible destructive force that spread chaos throughout the land. Unfortunately for the civilians, things where only about to become much worse as the five prepared to let loose destructive Ceros, each potent enough to wipe a portion of the city on their own.

A bewildered look grew onto Lex's face as he got closer and closer to the portal point, noticing that as the one that he had been staring at had been shrinking during his trek towards them. He immediately regretted the thought that this would be taken care of swiftly, because when he saw the other five massive Hollow creatures, he abruptly stopped in his tracks for a moment. 'Holy shit...' he thought, noticing the colossus beasts starting to accumulate more energy into themselves, seeming to prepare for a large scale attack. He inhaled through his nose and closed his eyes, taking a moment to forcefully dissolve whatever doubts and concerns he had about not being able to take care of such a problem. He was sure that the defenses of the city would kick in soon enough, but there was never a guarantee that they would show up in time and because of that alone, Lex was going to have to abandon the idea to hold back and use everything he had at his disposal right away. He opened his eyes a moment later, a completely different look on his face now; a look of certainty and determination. If he knew anything about anything, it was fighting creatures of such intense caliber.

'Lex, support link is successful, I'll be syphoning energy to you during this fight so use whatever you have to in order to stop these things.' the small vixen telepathically informed him. The dark skinned man nodded before he pulled out two gray leather gloves from his jacket, swiftly tugging them over his bare hands as he continued running in the direction of the threat. This was going to be extremely difficult for sure, but he figured it wasn't going to be impossible to pull off. The moment that he got the gloves on, he was performing spells right away, stopping in his tracks to crouch and press his gloved palms at the sides of his steel-toe boots. In an instant, they would be replaced with another form of boots, something entirely metal on the outside that seemed to be encased in royal blue and silver with metal blades protruding out the side of them, as if they were wings! 'Alright Nina, this is it! We're going in!' he warned the vixen in his mind, suddenly boosting off from the concrete beneath them from the jet of fire at the soles of both boots he was now wearing. Immediately the young man extended his hand out in front of him before a navy blue sword with a silver hilt appeared into his hand, making him feel the intense power surge through him of countless cries of determination and intensity for King Arthur's campaign and character to succeed. The result? Lex was strong enough to destroy a mountain with one swipe of his sword if he wanted to, and that was just with a warmup swing. He didn't want to use this power for its strength though, he wanted it for its magnificent boost in his endurance.

He zoomed quickly through the sky, the swift crack of wind fluttering through his jacket ringing in his ears as he went at face level with a few of the large creatures. They were too spaced out for him to be able to kill in one swipe, which made him grit his teeth in frustration. He could possibly use the Desert Fox Gate, but there was no guarantee that the technique still wasn't warped like the Celotrian form of Lex forced it to be, remembering that it expelled the souls of all people that touched the gate, not just the wicked. So instead, he figured he'd go another route, a gamble of sorts as he thought about the other spiritual move that would help him in such a bind. He gave an intense stare in front of him as he began to concentrate, pressurizing his spiritual energy and the wind around him into centralized points around him, a hundred small bits of spiritual energy forming around him in a dome as all of the air began to condense as well. This was it, he was going to have to block all of their attacks with his next move, that was for certain. But beyond this, he would have to be careful at just how much he used, after all, he didn't want the authorities coming after him for no reason.

After getting a few bites into her bagel she saw people running and screaming past the window and saw that they were running away from the same area. “Lex, what is going on? Did you do something?”she tried talking to him through telepathy. She ran out of the building and saw in the distance that Lex was setting up equipment facing against something invisible. She couldn’t see what the threat was, which was going to be a problem. She also couldn’t sense them with magic, so they weren’t magic based as far as she could tell.

She saw a little girl in a blue sundress on the ground crying, as she was in pain from a cut on her leg and was bleeding perfusely. People ran past each other pushing each other to get out the way and no one stopped to assist the little victim.Minerva quickly ran over to her and placec her hand gently on her head. “It’s alright little one. Just hold still.” trying to calm the shakened child. The pain and bleeding was beginning to subside but it will be a few more moments before it would be done.

Other injured civilians were gathering around the front of the cafe that was already full and some saw what Minerva was doing and began to plead and ask her to help. Seeing about a dozen people needing help, she imbued the ten meter radius area with the healing magic aura. Right as she was finishing this, a piece of the skyscraper the size of a bookshelf broke off and began to fall towards the injured. There wasn’t enough time to have them move, so she pulled out her parasol from her pocket space and opened it up. She flew a few feet in the air and holding the parasol above her she made some quick calculations, factoring in the speed and size of the debris, likely air resistance, composition of the material and then angled the parasol slightly to the right which she deflected the debris making it bounce off away from the almost doomed and hapless civilians below. Luckily for them, the debris landed on an empty truck. She floated back down. “Is everyone alright?” she asked. Nods all around confirmed their safety.

The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty Re: The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

Standing upon the street pole like a spire, the grey and blue fox looked towards his foes. He could feel it, a great pressure building from the stored attacks, and yet he remained as calm and composed as ever. To the Adjucha, this was but a normal event, a mere hunt, and he was more than equipped to handle his foe. Eyes aglow, the fox focused his efforts into stopping the oncoming attacks with an ability of his own. Just in the nick of time, or perhaps with perfect timing, as the hollows began to let their stored energy loose in the form of a powerful blast, a thin wall appeared. Spawning high above, and eye level to four of the five beasts, the translucent shield hovered, radiating with a luminescent glow, and fueled by the power of Lia's previously devoured snack.

At such a close range, the reflective surface of Lia's Mirror Wall near instantly returned the attack. Sending the opposing forces right back at the hollows, one after another, like clockwork, explosions boomed as shockwaves erupted from the now bare crevices that were once known as a face. Baring a toothy grin, the fox watched his own handiwork with glee, that was...till he realized he missed one. "Shit!" The Adjucha spoke to himself as his gaze followed the high flying attack with a look of shock.

Lex hovered in place, keeping a steady balance in the air at about 30 or so meters in the air while the spiritual bits of energy finished forming around him in a sort of loose dome fashion. The huge behemoths of monsters seemed to have finished charging whatever it was they were trying to do because the next thing Lex saw was a blinding beam of light start to form at its mouth as it got ready to fire. He didn't have time to check to see if Minerva was there yet, but there was a semblance of hope that he could trust her to help the people below. The moment that the spiritual bits finished forming in their entirety, Lex gave a single thought to divide the one hundred pieces by two and send half of them straight to each Gillian, ten small spheres of silver light zipping towards each humongous spiritual creature. The moment that the pieces managed to touch them, he wasted no time in activating his next spiritual ability, causing each bit to explode with a radius of five meters each, affecting various parts of their body since he had widened the gap of the bits all along their form to spread out the damage.

The screeching came first, a bit shocked that the explosions were so effective against such tall and threatening looking creatures. But... wait, that wasn't solely his doing. 'Someone or something else just reflected their own move against them. Be wary of using any continuous attacks from this point on Lex, whatever it is could try to do the same to you.' came Nina's voice in his head, making his eyes dart around to confirm that he was indeed seeing a crystal-like dome formed around four of their heads, one absent from the one cringing and flailing around right in front of him. 'Understood. Nina, scan the area for any other beings wh-' he began, but was cut off by the vixen's eyes suddenly glowing as she stood upright on Lex's shoulder, a tense posture as she stared downwards to street level at the left of them. 'I've already detected another spiritual entity! It's at ground level right now, near the street corner half a block away from here, north-west!' the vixen informed. Lex wasted no time in hovering down to street level as he watched the grand Hollows barely hold themselves together, massive holes in each of them at various places with four of them now headless from their own attack. The one that Lex had the pleasure of taking care of had made sure to explode his head first as well while it tried to fire off its attack, but what puzzled him the most was how such things could just appear out of nowhere like that. Was this a regular occurence in this timeline?

His thoughts carried him on until he touched down at the street level, grimacing for a moment as he thought about how his equipment used to be able to read spiritual energy before he had to wipe the database from the scouter. 'How in the hell did that Celotrian Lex manage to make technology read spiritual energy? I'll never figure out that formula on my own! I guess I'll just have to meditate when I'm more free and get another vision of his life revolving around it.' he planned as he glanced at the small fox looking creature perched up on the top of the street light. He said nothing at first, both Nina and himself giving an eerie intense stare in unison at the vulpine as the wind began to slowly blow past them, Lex's gray leather jacket slowly fluttering in the wind along with Nina's fur, her tail also swaying side to side while the two remained silent. After a few seconds of not even blinking, Lex calmly reached up to press a button on his scouter that was over his right eye, loud chirping and beeping resonating from both the scouter and surprisingly the goggles that Nina was currently wearing over her eyes, the same data strings seeming to appear on the lens for each of them while they stood there, patiently waiting for it to finish scanning.

And as he predicted, there was nothing indicating that it had successfully scanned the fox in front of them. 'Well, that confirms it, we have a lot of work to do when we recalibrate the systems.' he thought, Nina only giving a nod as confirmation that she had heard his statement. Lex took a few steps towards the fox, cautious steps, but steps all the same before he spoke at it. "Were you the one that reflected their moves against them? If so, I want to thank you, you saved a lot of people today if you did." he called out, still waiting cautiously for a response from it. 'Lex, new circumstances, Minerva is a few blocks down to the south of us and my senses further indicate that she's not alone, most likely attending to the citizens of the city.' Nina remarked, making Lex give a small sigh of relief. 'Well at least she's safe, that's even better news.' he thought.

The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty Re: The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

She went to each civilian to personally check on their healing noticing that their recovery was happening quickly and without incident. The healing aura was working quite well. A young teenage boy, bleeding from his head and arm, was recovering, sitting on the curb. He looked up and saw Minerva’s slim, pale, flawless complexion and pretty face with a gentle expression, seeing her take charge of the situation, floating down from the sky. “Are...are you an angel? he asked shyly. She giggled. “No silly, I just have a few tricks up my sleeve. Now lay down and take it easy. You will be well in no time.” she said in a warm and caring voice. She kissed him on the forehead making the teenager blush profusely. The little girl was not crying anymore and ran over to Minerva and hugged her torso, Minerva being 6 feet tall and all. “Thank you” she mumbled, her face digging into Minerva’s frilly dress. She patted her head and wiped her face. “Go home now, it’s dangerous here.” she beckoned. The girl nodded and off she went.

After attending to the injuries of about thirty individuals Minerva look down the street to see how the fight was going. She was going to be annoyed as Lex seemed to ignore her before, but he was busy in the middle of a fight, which was understandable. She still couldn’t tell what the threat was as it was invisible. The first thing she was going to do was to find a way to be able to detect whatever creatures that was causing mayhem. If it wasn’t for Lex, she would be in grave danger. She has resigned herself to stick with him longer for practical necessity. Still, she would find a way to be useful just in case Lex needed assistance.

With quiet gracefulness, she flew up to 1000 feet above Lex and look around to see if the rest of the city was in danger. From what she could tell, nothing was out of the ordinary and this was the only part of the city that was attacked. ”Lex, the rest of the city seems to be alright. Do you know what we are up against? I can’t see or magically detect whatever is over there.”

The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty Re: The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

Sun Feb 04, 2018 6:17 pm
Ears perked in shock, the gray and blue fox watched as the final creature fell to it's death with a quaking thud. 'How...? I could of sworn that I...' The Adjucha thought to himself before snapping focus to the others below. It was then as he noticed the dark skinned man, he couldn't help but take in the other sights as well. Even with the efforts of Minerva, the once bright and bustling city streets where now filled with panic and broken chaos. He hadn't even been allowed to explore yet and already things where ruined. "Damn Hollows..." The fox's muzzle wrinkled as his fangs bared from annoyance.

Lost in his own anger and annoyance he almost forgot the other two just that fast. It wasn't till the other spoke that his feral eyes fixated on them once more. "Yes...that was me. Though it seems I did fail to reflect one. Which given how well things turned out." He paused for a moment as he looked to the ruined vehicles that piled within the streets. "Well...given the circumstances that is. I take it you are the one to thank for that." The small fox spoke in a mellow tone as he hopped down from his perch. With silent steps he landed directly in the center of the lifeless monsters forms. It was hard to believe such a small thing played a hand in taking out such large creatures, though such a concept was nothing compared to what was to happen next.

Rather ravenously, the Adjucha began to do what it did best, eat. Physically biting, and spiritually inhaling, he consumed the monsters forms at a quick pace. Already, one of the six where completely gone as it's last remnants flowed into the fox's open maw. Wasting no time, he casually walked his way towards the next. Though feeding was his primary goal, his intentions weren't quite clear. He did protect the city to some extent, and yet as he fed the corner of his eye glared upon the other two as if to say back away from my meal, or else. Pausing for a moment to scarf down a hefty swallow of the now fading prey before him, he turned towards the others to speak. "Hey...What is this place?" The Adjucha inquired with a ravenous lap of it's snout.

The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open) Empty Re: The fox and the tower! Predator Vs Prey! (Open)

Lex and Nina listened to it respond, more than relieved that it could actually speak in their language and wasn't acting like a beast. In fact, it seemed like it was actually intelligent, giving quite an impessive response before it hopped off and walked towards one of the corpses of the massive Hollows. Ok, scratch that, Lex giving a quizzical look while Nina cringed and gave a disgusted expression at watching the small creature start devouring the entity, gobbling it up as if it was a freshly cooked meal. It was odd considering how it spoke only a moment before, but that intense glare at them while it ate only proved more that it still had its feral-like tendencies. Before they could say anything, Lex would hear Minerva above him ask what they could have possibly been battling against and that she couldn't see or sense them. This was a surprise to Lex for sure, because with all of the powers that Minerva seemed to possess, he was sure that she would have not only been able to see them, but actually know what they were as well.

That's when he began to beg the question; just what were those very entities that they were facing? If Lex, Nina, and this creature could see them but Minerva couldn't, could it be perhaps be tied to the fact that she came from a different dimension? The story she had told him earlier always sounded so silly, that she just traveled to such life-altering degrees on a whim whenever she felt like it, but with this new development, Lex wasn't so sure anymore and began to put more stakes that she had most likely told the truth earlier. "It's good to see you're safe Minerva, and no actually, I don't know what those things were. And what? You can't see or sense them? That's not good at all! They were huge! In fact, hell, they're still right here!" he mentioned, pointing down at the ground a few feet away from him, at one that the small gray and blue like creature hadn't devoured yet.

That's when the idea popped up in his mind that perhaps this small fox knew what they were. After all, he was taking quite a liking to their taste, that was for certain. Lex turnd back towards the vulpine and cleared his throat. But before he could speak, that's when he heard it speak again first, seeing him lick at himself to clean whatever remnants of the spiritual entity off of its snout. "This is Karakura City, a really populated city in Japan." he began, taking a moment or two before he recollected his thoughts on what he wanted to say earlier. "Say, what's your name? And also, do you know what those things were and where they came from? Or where you came from for that matter?" he asked, taking a slow step back, and then another, and then another as he saw the fox making his way towards the next downed Gillian, the cautious behavior of the man since he wasn't sure if this was ally or foe just yet.
