Ever since she retrieved this accursed sword from a hidden cave deep within the islands of the Carribbean; a region southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and the North American mainland she's been hearing faint whispers that gradually became screams of the hundreds of not thousands of individuals who have been slain by this weapon.
She could still recall the words engraved in stone as she approached it "No blade can shed the blood of so many innocents and not demand a toll on its wielder as well. After all, all rewards come with risk." her eyes averted to the blade as she unsheathed it before closing them..

She knew the risks that would come with obtaining it but she'll have to deal with it, not let it control her mind and actions. Opening her eyes once more
Ritsuko then stared at the blue sea for a brief moment before the clouds above her oozed and billowed across the awakening sun, casting the meadow into a shadowy darkness.

The roaring and pounding obliterated all other sounds and her mind was awash with exhilaration. A layer of salt was soon encrusted her eyelashes and she could taste it over her lips. She whooped and hollered to the tempestuous sea as if it's raw power was seeping into her every pore.

Just like a universe is on a single point, so was her soul staring at this stormy sea. As the waves rock to tipping point, everything she was, have been, or ever will be, is concentrated into this tiny string of moments - as if this is the moment in which she was truly born. The wind was strong enough to pick up a man and fling him to the briny waves. Every sense is maxed out, every muscle already working beyond normal capacity and still there is no end in sight.

She gripped the sword and practiced a few techniques along the sandy shores each movement causing sand to kick up before falling down, the wind unleashing it's howls.

Wandering about the place with no real destination, Ulv found herself in the Caribbean. Warm sun, palm trees, and a lot of other cool stuff to do that would leave Ulv feeling a bit out of place. Despite having Fire powers and making the world a warmer place, she didn't do hot places as well as she did cold places. it was a hold-over from Mirja, who was a tundra girl through and through. But, speaking of hold-overs from Mirja, Ulv felt a very reminiscent feeling. The once Quincy now whothefuckknows, Ritsuko. Also once owner of the Seal of Eris, and once Cultivator. A lot of onces.....

So, walking over to the woman, she saw her swinging about her sword, which was interesting. The sword was pretty vicious, having a feel of many, many people laying dead within it. And not being ritually cleaned after every death, the spirits of those it slain stuck to it, unable to find rest. Hmm, she'd have to take that thing and Ritsuko to Chao Sa, he knew his stuff when it came to that sort of thing. But that was for later, for now she just appeared and waved.
"Hey Ritty! Nice sword. You any good with it?" she asked, with a grin.

Ritsuko turned around to see how called her only to see a strange woman wave to her like they've been friends for years; the girl felt a spiritual presence from her and immediately stepped within arm's length of her and spoke. Her tone a bit more serious
"How do you know my name? What are you doing here.
Ritsuko stared at the women dead in the eyes with an eyebrow raised placing the sword near the strangers neck. This obviously had to be a trick she thought to herself, there was no way this could be Mirja after all even if it was she didn't have the distinguishing white tail and ears plus the attire was completely the opposite of what she'd wear. She was tall, had a muscular build, short red hair, and we clothing was raggy and torn something she would never do.

Ritsuko waited for an answer as small droplets of rain began to descend on the two females, watching even the most slightest of movements in case the women would attack.

That was a very hostile reaction. Maybe the sword was already harrowing Ritsuko's mind. In which case, Ulv needed to make sure that it wouldn't hurt Ritsuko any further. It seemed Henrex had left this one in the dirt to deal with Yoriko, which was amusing to Ulv. So much for his mother hen routine on all the girls he claimed to care about. Whatever, this was for Ulv to deal with now, so she slid backwards and drew The Gentleman Of All Weapons, a Taijijian. Made by her Resolve Flame, it was a Tulpa that came into existance to test Ritsuko's skills with that sword of hers, as well as her mental state.

She had made the sword to look like the legendary Green Destiny Sword, wielded by Li Mu Bei, a truly fantastic man. Long dead, but still fantastic.
"I am Cho Ten Bei, and the sword you carry is way beyond you. There is nothing in your future except madness, and then being put down like a rabid dog. I have followed you, learned your identity and now I am here to save you from the sword, or put you down like a rabid dog" Ulv took the Wind Sword Style form, and prepared. She had read a good portion of books for this style, and sparred some with those she could find in Zian-Zi. As well as being 'born' with a great deal of combat knowhow. She just preferred her fists, was all.

Ritsuko would immediately position her feet with her blade up and to the outside, wrist pronated. The point is significantly higher than the hand. Only to
jump towards at the woman immediately followed by a lunge. Leaving herself left wide open to an attack however if her opponent would strike she would respond with a parry made in a semicircular motion to trap her opponents sword.

However if it failed she would recover and assume her en Garde stance by simply reversing the previous motions used earlier and while shifting her feet would move back towards the center. Once back in her position she'd attack once again this time directing the sword towards the abdomen.

She really was lost. Not surprising, considering Cultivation powered the cage which held the Seal of Eris, and her Cultivation was all but gone at this point. Not a single word to try and ascertain who Ulv was, why she knew what she did, or anything like that. Just an attack as if Ulv had killed her family with her puppy. She did need to measure her strength so as to not break Ritsuko's wrist with a simple parry, but that wouldn't stop her from engaging this woman in a duel until she was exhausted. And given the distance between them, Ulv was confident she could do that.

Setting up a wall of steel, Ulv reflected blow after blow with her sword, adding just enough strength to the parry to send jarring shudders down the sword and strain her sword hand without hitting hard enough to rip it out of her wrist of break something. Any offensive manuver was far to risky, and so she just didn't bother with that and instead went for a battle of attrition, using her superb reflexes and strong sword arm to oppress Ritsuko, even from what some people would see as the back-foot defensive.

The sound of their swords colliding was inevitable, but after a few swings and weird tingling sensations
went through her arm she realized woman she was completely on the defensive yet wasn't phased at all.

Ritsuko began to notice that with each parry and swords colliding with one another her body began to feel worn out, specifically her right hand it was slowly getting weaker by the second feeling the strain of her muscles tearing she stopped for a brief moment and thought to herself "Is it really worth it to contiue this pointless battle?".
Then Ritsuko stopped herself from attacking as she let her sword down towards the ground, ultimately surrendering as she dropped her sword as it landed onto the sand, knowing that whatever she could think of to counter would easily be brushed off like a leaf.

"Just who are you. You have the same energy as a certain someone I know."
She looked down at her right hand before looking up towards the woman still curious about her origins.

Eventually, the strain of holding the sword seemed to grow to much for Ritsuko. It wasn't a universal tactic, there were plenty strong enough to be unphased, and plenty skilled enough to counter impact-vibrations with their own moves. But, Ritsuko was neither, and the sword was dropped onto the sands, finally a conversation being held. Her mind had devolved, but her skills had not evolved, which was kinda sad. But then Ritsuko was never the most determined or driven woman, as shown with the sole fact that she let her Cultivation fall to shit the way she did.

"Ahh, now we have the talking. Well at least you aren't completely gone. I told you before, I am Cho Ten Bei, and that sword is not a sword someone like you can handle. It screams with the voices of countless dead, and they will overwhelm a mind such as yours with alacrity, turning you from woman to simple vehicle for the sword's bloodthisty desires. As you are, you have neither the skill to be worthy of such a sword nor the mind to be able to wield such a sword. It is simply a slow suicide, so I came to take it from you or put you down, if you are already raped of sanity. The spirits of the dead need laying to rest"

Ritsuko listened carefully to the voice explaining that the sword she carried was too much for her feeble mind to comprehend and prolonged exposure would turn her into nothing more than a helpless puppet.

So rather then retort with a reason for her to keep it she decided it'd be the smart decision to just hand the sword over to Cho Ten Bei and leave it at that. Perhaps she isn't destined to become a fighter maybe she should rather take this time to settle down and just stay home. Let everyone else do their thing while remaining in the sidelines.

Sheathing her sword, Ulv shook her head softly and let it dissolve into nothing. Ritsuko really....well was really Ritsuko and there was no changing that. Letting out a sigh and picking up the sword, she could feel the hatred and anger of the voices coming off it, so she just smashed them down with a mental hammer of Resolve Flame. They were less chatty then. And speaking of less chatty, she then turned to Ritsuko with an exasperated expression.

"You really can't commit to anything, can you? The first, slightest bit of an issue and you drop it for something else. So non-committal you lost your racial powers because of it. And then lost Tai Chi powers and now lost your having-a-sword powers. When are you going to just pick something and stick with it for more than ten minutes?" Ulv lectured, completely exasperated over her actions.
