[center]Oda Tatsuya
おだ たつや

Tatsuya wore a Gym tracksuit now that he came to the Living World. Something needed to be answered before anything else. What happened to start him down this path almost like a bloodhound. He tracked the scent and stories of an explosion of energy that destroyed and turned a place into nothing. Was this the starting point of Tsubasa's pain and misery as he began? Was this truly a betrayal as Tsubasa had told him in the long run? The killing of that girl seemed to be the trigger point so before anything else. He'd go here and investigate the situation as his student hadn't. Tatsuya touched down in the crater holding his sword softly within his fingertips. This was a problem in the long run as nothing was here to be noticed of course. Sitting down crossing his legs he looked sadly at the ground. Taking stock of what happened here made him think of previous battlefields. Kagami and Sachiko protested a lot to come along with him. But he told them to stay out of this matter as it involved his choices. As a man, he had to make amends for his student but to do that he needed to understand. What brought him to this low that he gave up and essentially abandoned everything?

But Tatsuya had duties and responsibilities as well, he couldn't abandon himself while seeking answers. His famous scar across his nose hurt today, perhaps another run in with Damien would happen soon. Whenever that scar hurt it normally meant something was on its way. It seemed very far from the answers he was seeking to the questions. But whatever happened her survival seemed hard if not impossible. Battle often was that way though, survival always seemed impossible. You grasped the percentage no matter how small and placed your bets. That was what So he was banking on them surviving but who did this was the question. Was it someone important to his student that he cherished. He wasn't a damned detective, this sort of stuff didn't suit him. He didn't normally do tracking or anything of that nature. Sachiko and Kagami were specialists in that regard.

He stood up slowly dusting himself off as he glanced around the area. Whatever did this was very powerful, something about it felt sinister almost. Perhaps it wouldn't be seen by him in the long run. Maybe it was about time for an expert to take a look at the situation. "Nobunaga, scan this place for me." The voice said nothing but lines and grid shapes formed over the area. Calculating the mass and things are taken down as he rubbed his head. It was a big number of what used to be here. This wasn't done by a normal being that was for certain at the very least. Avenging who fell here wouldn't be a possible outcome not yet anyway. The Unabara Clan still needed his attention and focus right now. The clan system described to him was old and hadn't evolved well with the Gotei United. The files Tsubasa left his A.I with did enlighten him on that. Tsubasa had a reputation, but the question was it a good one or bad one? Did he really turn his back on the trust he earned from those people?

Did he allow Iriko's sacrifice to be in vain entirely? He didn't see that Captain who came after did far more, it was out of character. Iriko fought like he knew how and that was all there was to it.

Ulv Auber

Seeking Truth 6EdIfMt

Ulv was feeling a bit heavy today. Some old music, as most of it was. She really wasn't into this modern stuff. And The Wind seemed agitated, or at least enthusiastic to a great degree today. So she gave it what it wanted. "I'll have you know, That I've become Indestructible, Determination that is incorruptible. From the other side, a terror to behold" The soft and serene voice of Ulv was nowhere to be seen, instead a powerful and rough voice singing as she ran along, with her hair tussled and her feet coated with a slight gust of wind that displaced the dust.

'Speaking of terrors to behold, check where we are' Hvit said, causing Ulv to stop and look. Stop and feel. Inami really fucking nuked this place, to have her signature around even months afterwards. And the most interesting thing, was that they was a guy in the middle of the crater. So she walked up to the edge, and hopped in, sliding down the walls. And keep sliding, and sliding, and sliding.
"Dam. They really make it look good on the tv but this is an incredibly inefficient method of travel" Ulv exclaimed, kicking off the crater wall and rushing over to the man. Wind-Becoming-Stride was not yet in a workable fashion, but even the memories of Jaeden had sharpened her Earth Grasping Step. The distance was not inconsiderable, and Ulv had only a portion of Mirja's old speed, so it took her a while to get to the side of the guy.

"So, you a crater enthusiast or do you just think that this is a great place to relax? Inami's energy signature really does keep out the riff-raff. Not sure if she intended that or not. But then, if I am honest, I don't know what she was doing making this crater. Was a perfectly serviceable house here once. Not even had to move out the occupant, since she had recently killed herself"

RIVER SLIME
Instinct was an inborn trait of all living things. It developed organically, as one of the three stages of mental progression for life, the first of all: instinct, then emotion, then thought. That said, for a creature born inorganically? For the river slime, instinct wasn't apart of its development. There was nothing in its physiology that demanded an inherent protocol to follow as a response to a situation. For the river slime, its actions were all conscientious and done with reason. So why did this stuffy, uncomfortable feeling well up inside?

Just moments before, the river slime was trudging through a forest. It met a strange individual, kind but awkward. A kindred spirit, if the slime was being completely real with itself, and for all the years the creature had yet to live, that was one bit of wisdom it could easily face, something people with centuries in their bones could not. But, setting that aside. After the encounter, another chance meeting with a body of water became an irresistible desire to frolic and play. The slime hopped onto swamp and settled into its comfortable embrace, before abruptly realising it had soaked up the entirety of the swamp.

The slime felt bad, knowing that the ecosystem would be harmed if it took away a large water source from the area. With haste, it expelled the contents from its body, in the process propelling itself upwards and into the sky. In fact, due to just how much water was spilling out, the slime propelled so high up, it could see a crater not that far beyond the swamp--maybe a few miles or so, but if the slime kept a good pace, hopping over was an easy task.

Thus, after draining itself of swamp water, the river slime quickly traversed over, and without much hesitation, hopped into the crater. And during that action, only at the last minute did the slime realise that the hefty energy signature in the middle of the crater was not in fact something that was usually there. A black haired man who seemed tall--that is, if he weren't sitting down--focused intently on his surroundings. His visage didn't seem too foreboding, but the energy quantity in him--that was a subject of interest.

It wasn't the strongest and highest the slime had ever come across--after all, for all it was new to, the slime had several millennia worth of experience. But, it was trained, like he could tap into it at a moment's notice, readily and powerfully. It caused a sense of discomfort, in the river slime, and a tinge of admiration and yearning. Power was attractive, after all. Seeking strength was easier done by seeking the strong. But more than that, the slime was made uncomfortable by the tension and seriousness in the man.

He looked--no. To the senses of the river slime, the man felt troubled. Like something heavy weighed on his mind. The river slime was attuned to the emotions of people around it, and so long as it had an energy signature, their feelings usually seemed clear as day. The expression "it shows on your face" was an understatement for the creature. A sense of sympathy welled in the slime's figurative heart, and with little hesitation left, it hopped over to the man to ask how he was doing.

But in the middle of its approach, another energy signature was approaching. Just behind the slime, a girl approached with some speed. At her words, the slime became confused.

Eh? He's a crater enthusiast? What's that? Is that why he's so troubled about the crater? Ehh?!? Someone killed themselves recently?! Who? Wait, wait, wait--that sounds really heavy. Can I actually ask someone about this? Is that okay? Wouldn't I seem weird, or intrusive, and they'll look at me poorly?? I-I'm so confused now!

And here we are now, the slime now inbetween two people, its anxiety flaring up in its figurative chest. In response, out of cowering from the situation and societal pressures, the slime melted into a puddle of water, as if trying to backtrack its previous intentions and meld with the surroundings, avoiding contact.

Oda Tatsuya

The two people arriving wasn't unexpected truthfully. He'd come to expect people turning up at odd times. But this was beyond what he'd anticipated as his eyes fell on the figure of Ulv. Even his expression was somewhat of a surprise, as she was supposed to be different. Or she looked very similar to the girl he saved a long time ago. He'd almost missed her comment about him being a crater enthusiast as he took it in stride. But the question was what did she have to do with the girl. She'd been here in the center of the crater, survival would have been hard pressed for anyone. No that didn't add up or open the door for him. He rubbed his scar smiling a small amount. She had that same air Damien did, or maybe his air was slightly different. "I suppose that's true to an extent. " He said smiling a bit now.

Tatsuya could tell fact from fiction in many cases. He let his auburn eyes study her before shifting to the next presence he felt. What impression could he take from this thing and what was going on here? The next being to arrive didn't have the typical structure or body type. So what fantasy land had he gotten off on to arrive here at this conclusion. "Tell me do you know Tsubasa Unabara?" He said looking at Ulv now as he decided to test her on something. The Pale Rider had left the world behind and even seemed to leave little not of his passing. Few seemed concerned or worried about that situation. Was he not important to the current situation, Tatsuya had his doubts on that. The situation being what it was didn't seem to lend itself to the current area much. Tsubasa had lost his will to continue the fight any longer and left.

Leaving behind any legacy or thought with Tatsuya his teacher. But a couple things were clear as the situation stood. First Tsubasa had long since surpassed him in spiritual power. But in sword technique, he'd lost his way somewhere along the lines. The second thing and most likely the most important thing his student lost. It was the resolve needed to push the walls down around you and move forward. Perhaps it was the time he stopped fiddling around with swordsmanship. And started trying to get stronger. Tatsuya had ceased moving forward as he thought it was enough. But this crater made it very clear along with the energy left behind. He was behind the curve quite a bit, Amateratsu would be happy. Because it meant he was going to focus on unlocking his powers. Even further into the world of truth as he went forward. Tatsuya rested a hand on his zanpakuto softly as he thought for now. Did he tell people he taught Tsubasa the sword when the boy was young? Would people really believe that this rugged looking man who almost seemed through a wood chipper?

Was the mentor of that man in that regard? "If you do, what's your perception of him and his family?" He said raising his eyebrow at the female. Tatsuya was going to start training even harder and begin unlocking his zanpakuto's full power after this. He'd only scratched the surface of it all and that's what was made clear to him. That he could get much stronger and surpass perhaps even the legacy his pupil left. Damien and he would need to meet eventually, but perhaps that day would come far down the road. If this was the caliber ahead that he'd be running into. Then without a doubt or a pause, it was time to cease focusing on swordsmanship slowly. It was time to grow stronger and show his pupil the proper way for next time. Tsubasa had raw power from the start in some ways. His student had power even when they first met which should have shown a degree of shock.

Refining what you have is the key to a successful life. Tatsuya knew where his power lie, it was in his raw physical prowess and prowess with the blade. Dusting himself off as he rose from his seated position his eye gazing over the being a distance from him.

Crater enthusiast it was then. Nothing strange here, time to move on. She wasn't a woman to try establish hidden meanings in phrases or statements. She was just here because he was. Still, did need to find Inami and talk to that woman. The whole scene here really painted the wrong picture. Like, it was Inami who killed Mirja. Ulv's soul couldn't bare such injustice, regardless of the reason, and so it would be solved! But, the man was asking strange questions, questions she had no idea how to answer.
'Tsubasa....that name sounds familiar' Hvit said, pondering softly.
'Well it doesn't to me, so what am I meant to say, the voice in my head thinks they might have heard of him?' Ulv replied, mentally shaking her head softly.

"No, sorry. I've never heard of him. Is he important to this crater?" she asked. But, before that could be said, she finally clocked on to a presence. Something strange, odd, and not really like anything she had felt before. But, the strangest thing about this presence, was that it seemed to be coming from.....a puddle. A pretty close puddle, true, but a puddle all the same. Ulv was kind of mad, but talking to a puddle was outside of her madness, so she would just have to pass it off as this sense thing malfunctioning and talk to the guy who wasn't a puddle. Maybe the puddle would unpuddle? Ulv was clueless on this, never having encountered a puddle that seemed to be alive - for want of a better word - before.

"So, what are you doing here, really? Is it something to do with this Wings guy you are talking about? A guy who's name is literally wings would probably really help me with my thing. Unless it's just his name, but that would just suck. What kind of person doesn't work towards being their name if their name means something?" Ulv seemed to have....interesting thoughts about people and naming structures.
'Says Ulv' Hvit piped in, a teasing tone in her voice that made Ulv blush.

He listened politely before standing up and cracking his shoulders. "I see, well Damien was wrong again. I and my old sparring buddy need to have a word next time." He said out loud now as he touched the ground before glancing her. She seemed like she was on the verge of something important. He couldn't put his finger on it but she looked solid and strong. Like this could be an entertaining encounter for the right reasons. She seemed strong and in good shape as he rubbed his chin. "Tsubasa is very fast, I suspect he's one of the faster and more potent warriors around. But sometimes power isn't what is required its experience. We'll have a sparring match to help you track on to a bit better." He said smiling a bit as he took off the tracksuit top and set his zanpakuto down with the top piece as he slipped it off. He didn't plan to use his zanpakuto or reiatsu here. Since she needed some help figuring something out. Somethings were elusive and you needed a good helping hand sometimes.

"I'll refrain from my zanpakuto, not out of disrespect only because it's not safe to use it and help you. Damien Crow's arm is my fault not to brag he did get my face pretty good also." He said gesturing to the scar across his nose and by his ear. As his torso became exposed one thing was clear the man was ripped. You could have ground meat on his abs alone his arms and entire body were physically imposing. His body was covered with scars in every location from puncture wounds and slashes. Somethings looked worse than others to make his survival seem less likely. He didn't have the cheerful upbringing that most had. Inhaling a bit he felt his body cracked he moved his limbs. It had been a while since he'd gotten to fight someone. Barehanded boxing was a practice for the Oda Clan. Along with grappling among other things a person was expected to be capable of choking someone's life out. Tatsuya smiled a bit as he brought his hands up taking a slow position.

"Show me what you are trying to figure out, I may not be the fastest but. I do have some skills." He said softly readying himself for her barrage that was going to come. This would be an intense one he suspected for the most part. Fights like this were meant to be interesting for the long run anyways. Tatsuya didn't intend to her or anything. If anything his body often times served as a warning to those foolish enough to challenge him. But something had risen up and made him aware. He needed to stop focusing on his physical strength now and back it up. He needed his reiatsu to be stronger than was clear from the crater. This match would help him figure out just how behind he was. This woman seemed very strong in terms of everything. It dawned on him he'd forgotten to introduce himself. "My name is Tatsuya Oda, nice to meet you the first move is yours." He said softly as he settled in for whatever was going to come.

Well this had certainly taken a turn for the surprising. The crater enthusiast was sat here for no reason in particular it seemed. He just liked to sit in craters surrounded by bad juju because he got a kick out of it? Strange people did indeed fill the world. And stranger still him talking to her like they were old friends, name dropping some guy she could half remember and claiming to have cut his arm off. So this guy who she had never met cut off the arm of a guy she had only ever met once, and thought that was...interesting?

"Umm, I can't fault your enthusiasm, but I don't usually throw down with random strangers I don't even know the name off" she said, and then he gave her his name, almost as if he was expecting it. "Ahh, Mr Oda. Still, I don't know what made you think I was here to spar or to get help with anything" Ulv gave a puzzled shrug and just stared at him like he was a strange guy in a crater. Probably because he was. "I mean, the only reason I'd throw down with a stranger is if you were one of the Cannanites. And even then, you seem kinda chill so I'd just say go tell them to stop already. You'll just lose more men, as I proved at Everest"

Ulv paced a little, her feet kicking up surprisingly small handfuls of dust for the movement. She had to give him credit where credit was due though.
"And and, even though yes there is something I am working on, it's not a sparring thing. It's a sit down and talk about it's concept and then try to grasp the art of zero friction take off without flailing like a loon"

Tatsuya stopped lowering his stance now as he rubbed his chin. This was a problem, he couldn't really help her without seeing it. Zero Friction movement sounded like the kid Damien told him about. What was that boy's name again he rubbed his chin. He put his jacket on picking up his sword looking puzzled. What was that kid's name Damien told him about? Tsubasa was plenty fast, but the way this kid moved involved something called being one with the wind. Not fighting it or something like that. Fast people were so complicated and hard to unravel when it came down to it. It was like an itch on the edge of his tongue. "That sounds so familiar, it's just out of reach. That boy Damien talked about was the kid who claimed to move with wind..What was his name." He couldn't remember it and it wasn't helpful otherwise. He couldn't put his hand on the image as though it remained just out of reach. The girl needed help but so did he truthfully since this current block needed a good fight to break it down.

He made an face as though he'd figured something out. "I got it, we can use Nobu. She can scan how you move and what your looking for. She's very good at all the technically analyse stuff and helping out on that side. " He said smiling a bit as a voice responded to his question seeming to echo out of the energy he gave off. "Through a woman under the bus much Tatsu? But I can analyse it through your eyes and suggest changes and compare her to previous high speed such as Mirja Eeola or Tsubasa-sama's movements." The voice said as he smiled and decided to explain. "She's a specialized thing Tsubasa put inside my body. She's able to do things woosh and zoom sort of. " Tatsuya wasn't good at the technical talk or even an inventor. This was essentially giving a super powered device to someone who didn't know how to use it. This was of coursethe best he could do with the situation as a low tech man in a high tech world.

"Please explain the zero friction to me, what is the attempt you are making miss?" Tatsuya felt sort of like a go between at this point. It was frustrating but he was more of a hands on person. Talking and things like deciphering the skill she wanted. That belonged more to his zanpakuto or perhaps Nobu in the long run. Sachiko said often things came to those who waited. So at this point it was best to wait and see. Sometimes everyone needed a little help along the way as it turned out. Even he came out of the place he called home to see what he could do for Tsubasa. But he always like talent to be explored and move forward. Tatsuya could of called Damien and asked him to find that boy. He couldn't remember his name. He was a fast man and elusive in his own right. But speed was a realm Tatsuya couldn't tread. His strong point wasn't there even remotely. Unless he released his zanpakuto which he didn't like doing. Due to the amount of trouble that came with it.

The kid who moved with the Wind. Well, Ulv could only think of one person like that. The person who was the core insperation behind Slip-Stream and ultimately the start to Mirja's run towards the horizon of speed. Lacking the memories of her culmination, Ulv could only work off feelings. And the feeling was such that it made Ulv want to reach the horizon again. Just to feel like that.
"Sounds like Jaeden, to me. But, I don't know who Damien or you is or are so I couldn't say for sure. He is the only one that comes to mind when you mention moves like the wind"

Ulv then heard that these two at least knew about Mirja. Having records of her speed, something that made Ulv smile. She had gone so fast as to carve herself into the annuals of history, even if she as now dead and lost all that made her great. She was still around, still repairing herself. Still fixing the crap she had been handed to by whoever decided her perfect plan was going to amount to fuck all in the end. The machine, wanted to scan her movement, which was interesting. She hoped it could keep track, but it sounded pretty high tech, so she was confident.

"The theory, and don't ask me what it means because it isn't mine so I can't really tell you, is 'Push against the ground with all your weight, and absorb the force. You'll take off with the force of a landing feather'. It's a Force Refraction Phenomena that works in two parts. Release The World, and then Return To The World. Release The World, works like this" Ulv crouched, her body pushing down and then taking off. There was barely a disturbed gust of air as she began moving. And then she crashed into the ground and tumbled. Her reactive enzymes helped the crash not hurt a great deal, but it was still pretty bad.

"Return To The World, is the issue I am having. Zero traction, Zero Friction, means it's like jumping off a bullet train. There is far too much forward inertia for me to be able to keep my footing. When you are running, you've got control of your own momentum, but Lightfoot is an entirely new form of takeoff that is nothing like usual running"

He listened quietly observing as his eyes followed the movements. Tatsuya would never be seen as a fast man around anyone. But he was studious and observant beyond reason. Tsubasa would still take his lesson over almost anyone else so that was a sign. He brought his hand to his chin watching but staying quiet so she could explain. A video image of Mirja's movements compared to Ulvs showed to him but he didn't dismiss them as he thought about it. Science and math were important sure but somethings didn't enter into being computed. How a person was feeling and what were they thinking about. Those were key elements you had to take into account. It was why he believed at the end of the day things like Nobu weren't perfect. She could be high tech and let him record everything happening. But that didn't mean she understood beyond the numbers and math. She would advise the girl adopt Mirja's pose and stature. That wasn't going to happen while the two were similar Ulv was her own person. She had her own design as Nobu began to speak he cut her off.

"No, we aren't going that route with this Nobu. Nobu is going to suggest you adopt Mirja's pose and posture for it. But I am not in agreement with it as I think you are closer to your own answer. " He said softly as he rubbed his chin a bit more. Deciding to ask the questions he knew were somewhat important to this. "What are you thinking about during takeoff and landing? " He said asking her as he looked towards the female now. Awaiting her answer calmly as he stared at her. It was maybe about time for an example of what he was talking about. Her mind could be thinking about too much and overload her but he'd not make that jump. She was a smart girl and capable of solving this without Mirja. Mirja only needed a nudge from the boy to grasp things maybe she was similar. Ulv had the mind of a steel trap once she grasped it she'd be set. He could see that much as he rotated his shoulder a bit.

There could be a couple things she could do that could help her out. Maybe if the stakes were brought to a higher level it would be good. But on the other hand, depending on her answer he could decipher it more. Nobunaga was silently protesting him every moment. Staying within his head and telling him she couldn't do it. She didn't have the proper muscle structure and causing a mental grin almost. He'd made a life of proving people saying you can't wrong. Even if it left him scarred and horrible disfigured he'd do it. There was no such thing as can't in his dictionary. Ulv was Ulv and Mirja was Mirja. Thinking of them as remotely the same person even if they moved similarly was stupid. Ulv was her own personality and figure who could potentially surpass Mirja someday. He was surpassed long ago by Tsubasa, but it was about time the teacher showed his pupil the old dog wasn't done yet. He had some fight left in him and could still accomplish something of note. First thing was to see what type of advice he could give the girl.
