I. The Host's Personality

-kind and empathic

Modest: As a person, Takeo is not someone who thinks extremely highly of himself. Rather, quite the opposite. He believes himself to average, even at his best. For him, pride is one of the few things that matter to him, as his entire mindset and goal are simply to continue being a hero, being someone that can protect others -- despite being just a human. As a result of this, he can often be shown to express a level of humbleness whenever someone praises him, as the compliment will rarely ever get to his head. However, his modest nature is not so low that it comes to a point of him feeling pathetic or useless. Above anything, Takeo simply does not believe himself to be worth a great deal of praise -- as he sees his feats as something that anyone else could do, they just need to put their mind to it. Therefore, tying into his quiet nature, it becomes rare for Takeo to even speak about something such as this -- for him, he simply believes that he doesn't need to, or that he deserves it.

The Hero: Ever since he was a boy, Takeo simply wished for one thing: to be able to do what was right. Stop the criminals, save the world from threats, achieve world peace. While he is a lot less naive nowadays, Takeo still has, at least, part of that goal. Above everything else, there is one thing that can summarize his goal: to do what is right. For him, there is no purpose, justice, or good in doing what he does for the sake of pride, fame, or money. It's just what he believes is the right thing to do. It means more to him to do that, rather than to gain useless material needs, money, namely -- as it is something that he could earn himself.

Adventurous & Collector: While he isn't very outgoing or extroverted, Takeo is quite the adventurer. Ever since he was a child, watching movies with his family, the tales of those who sought to recover various relics and collect rare artifacts -- all of it enthralled him to the point where he wished to become an adventurer and collecter himself. Thus, years later, Takeo still has this trait to him that he will never be rid of. Because of this, he can often find himself exploring every nook and cranny of the world, looking for ancient relics in temples, caves, and recover and collect them. While it does show a bit of a hoarding side of him, it's not solely out of greed. While he isn't quite sure of what exactly it is that drives him to collect and recover all of these items, but he knows it's there -- and one day, he will find out why.

Loneliness: Despite all of these varying, wonderful trinkets and items, there is still a pang of loneliness that occupies this hero's heart. For everything that he has, he knows that he is alone in this world -- because his family is long gone. He has outlived just about everyone that he has known and loved, unsure if he will ever see them again, even in death. Thus, for him, Takeo can often feel these heavy emotions on his shoulders, and something that can sometimes end up consuming him, causing him to become much more sorrowful and emotional as opposed to his usual calm and focused demeanor. So, he can often impose himself into self-isolation as a way to cope with these intense feelings of longing and loneliness -- as there isn't much else that he feels comfortable doing to soothe these emotions of his.

Anger & Fear: Even with the fact that he has accepted his fate and place in the world long ago, there is still a large amount of contained bitterness in Takeo's heart, nearing the level of resentment towards the spirit that inhabits his body. In ties with his loneliness, he feels angry that he cannot die from age. Because of this, he had to watch as his family slowly withered away in front of him, while he remained young eternally. Satanael has given him the immortality he never wanted. Thus, for him, there will always be a sense of resentment towards the creature. But, for that, there's often the question of why not just release him? To put it simply: fear.

There is a great deal of fear of him, as well as resentment. He knows that it is a powerful force, and it's a miracle that he's survived so long with it -- but he can never feel comfortable with releasing it. It is powerful, and it is dangerous -- something that is only further proven by the nature of the creature's powers. It is that fear that it will simply wreak havoc on the world that he's fought so hard to protect and save that can never make him comfortable with the idea of parting with Satanael. Thus, to keep the world safe -- he must live with this creature, even if it would be for the rest of his life.

'An ocarina? And a sword inside the statue? Has someone been here before and tried to destroy it? No, that can't be it...'

As Takeo looked over the statue, he carefully wrapped his hands around the handle of the sword and tugged at it, only for him to realize it was stuck. So, he tugged again; still stuck, leading Takeo to groan.

''s really wedged in there. How did someone manage to get it this stuck?'

Again and again, he pulled against the sword. Eventually, after many tries, he finally managed to pull the blade free. A triumphant smile spread across the man's face as he took the weapon with both of his hands, holding it in front of him and making a few mock swings as if attacking an invisible opponent. Taking a closer look, he noticed the almost impeccable nature of the blade. A weapon that likely hadn't been cleaned in years, decades, possibly even centuries, and yet, it seemed as if it had just been finished forging that very day.

As his arms returned to his side, a chill began to creep up his spine. The moment he had taken the sword out, something had It felt malicious as if it were coiling around his throat like a vice. There was something else, too. A noise echoed through the temple as Takeo turned around, staring into the darkness of the hallways that lead to the clearing.

It sounded like a growl.

Silence encompassed the temple as Takeo waited, swallowing the lump in his throat and holding the sword steady, just in the off-chance that something, or someone was coming...but nothing ever came. Letting out a sigh of relief, he lowered his guard. It was nothing, just a sound, and nothing more. So, sliding the sword into the sheath that he found at the base of the statue, Takeo slid the sword over his shoulder and onto his back.

Sighing again, the man kneeled, carefully picking up the ocarina and looking it over, he noticed that it too was almost flawless in design, as if it had been made just the other day.

'If it looks this flawless and perfect, then I wonder how it will sound...?'

Bringing the mouthpiece to his lips, he took in a breath to begin playing, when a deep voice suddenly filled his ears, and he immediately stopped moving, his arms and lips trembling as fear once again came over him, stronger than ever. There was no mistaking it this time, it was a voice. Deep and distorted, yet calm. Condescending, yet retaining a collected demeanor.

'A human is the one to release me?'

It spoke.

The thing spoke.

It was alive.

Only then did Takeo fully realize the gravity of what he had done, and what he had accidentally unleashed. He tried to run, but he couldn't. It was as if the mere presence of this creature caused his legs to turn to jelly and his heart to race.

'Weak and powerless. You'll make a fine host...'

He couldn't breathe. The world spun and shook around him as Takeo stumbled away from the shrine, the sword that he had removed from what once was the statue of the demon clattering to the ground as the man reached for his own throat, falling to his knees. He was dying. But, despite this, he fought. He couldn't let it end here. Not after everything he had done, and how far he had come to get there. No! He wouldn't let it end! Not yet!

"I may be human...but I am not weak. I'm not just some prey for you to devour, monster! I WON'T LET IT END HERE!"

The man rose to his feet, letting out a defiant scream to the sky.

"I won't let you swallow me up...and I'll make sure you don't hurt anyone else!"

I. Natural/Racial Abilities & Skills

Natural Abilities

Lacking Full Power: still recently awakened, not at full power, must obtain power throughout his story, still incredibly powerful

Martial Skill:

Za Koa Core: Za Koa Core is stated to be an energy enhancer and is often used to help augment the powers of demons. In fact, it is crucial to some of their Possessive Drives when it comes to maintaining a more enhanced and controlled version of their release forms. And it can be utilized to help further increase the potency of their magic, possessive powers or racial abilities.

This energy enhancing racial is made possible by the fact that demons have a natural connection to a hidden sub-realm within the demon world that hosts a core of sacred demon energy. It was forged from a large cluster of energy from the demon race's creator with a mixture of its power and death. However, it has grown to be much more than that throughout the hundreds of millions of years it has existed.

Demon energy is described to be possessive and aggressive in nature, so to sustain its existence, this creation of sacred demon energy known as Za Koa has fed off the demon realm in the way of taking energy from long since deceased demons, prayers and even other realms by agents of Za Koa that have acted out its will. And, considering there are tens of billions of demons that exist, that is a tall order to fill and requires a high amount of energy to sustain and distribute.

With that said, however, demons are NOT forced to use this trait. Some outright have disconnected this link from their bodies as they do not care for it based around the fact not all demons praise their creator. As there is strong lore around this power that states Deveta (the demon god ICly) forged this and other demons reject it out of a desire to grow on their own power. So it is up to the demon in question to determine if they want to invest in their skill, but it can be of great beneficial use for those that do decide to embrace it.

Demon Energy: Demon energy can be described as a very aggressive type of energy. The reason for this is because of the fact it acts as a medium for the demon to possess the world around them. The particles of energy which are produced from a demon's body is constantly possessing and draining energy from the world around them passively in the background. It feeds on the existence around them, digests it and uses it as fuel to further the possessive power which lays inside of the demon.

And, given the unhinged psyche of demons, it's also been described as an energy that can be made rather potent when they are under high-stress or emotional circumstances. Their body, power, and mind are all heavily linked together and demons have a mass bond with their power that is unlike other races. Therefore, their state of mind can heavily influence how potent their demonic energy can become.

It is also possible to utilize demon energy without the use of a demon body, but it will often be designed to try and be the most dominant energy. It is dangerous for most other races to try and utilize this because it will often try to possess them to convert the way their powers work, their mental functions and the way reality exist around them because their bodies are constantly trying to possess it under the influence of demon energy. This especially applies to hybrids as demon energy can exist in them, but it will be hard for them to get a handle on it due to how aggressive it is.

Sacrifices & Worship: Sacrifices are not only tools used to help enhance the magic of a demon for the long-term, but there are also short-term sacrifices as well that can be used to influence a demon's magic potency. These sacrifices can often be made by others or even by the demon themselves. In order for them to have an effect, however, these offerings must hold some value to the subject. A few examples include monetary things such as cash, energy, objects, body parts, and even other lives if need be.

However, the sacrifices themselves won't truly become potent unless they hold a sentimental value to them. There are many mediums in this world that can hold varying degrees of value to a person, but those which are closest to the heart will often hold the strongest effect.

Additionally, while free-form sacrifices can be created, they won't be as effective as a sacrifice with pre-established protocols. So it is recommended for most demons to create sacrificial spells for their followers to enforce if they want the strongest effect. This is because they are hard-set rules which are birthed into the universe, set in stone and create more of a bond between the demon and their power.

(Note: The person making the sacrifice can also receive benefits from sacrificial spells as well. However, the demon has to activate it and allow for it to happen.)

Worship is important to Demonic Magic. The reason for this is because of the fact that they can become empowered and enhance their magic further when they are able to build occult-like followings with the teachings of their possessive magic. It is part of the reason why Khala herself was able to wield so much power when she waged her holy war against the Soul Society. There was a high number of devote followers of her religion that would give their lives up for the teachings of her seemly holy possessive magic.

Therefore, worship is a noteworthy way for a demon to build their magical strength up. However, for most IC characters, this will often have to be done in-thread unless staff otherwise say so upon approval on their app. This is to prevent people from abusing the system because potentially anyone can just say they built a large following from scratch in the context of their history. Additionally, Demonic Worship is often stronger when IC characters give their praise to the demon in question because our private characters are far stronger/potent than the average NPC.

Incantations: Incantations are important to demonic magic because of the fact it shows further bonding with their spells. Therefore, if the demon in question wants to reach their strongest magical potential, then it is recommended that they create an incantation before their spell. However, the primary limitation with this is that the incantations have a limit to how many times they can be used before their effectiveness wears out. Thus, skill plays a factor in how potent this ability will be.

External Augmentation: A demon's magic is at it's strongest when they are in their prime element. Once again, I'm going to use Mana as an example. Provided she hasn't directly caused an event of mass madness, destabilization or destruction/chaos; Mana can potentially tap into her possessive element of chaos to help siphon energy from this element of chaos to help empower her magic.

Thus,if they can possess the energy around them that is RELATED to their possessive element, then their magic will often be two times stronger than normal. However, this buff has a cycle for when it's active. When they first enter the zone where their possessive element is active, they can have a variable augmentation (it will be listed below based on skill)

It should be noted, however, each usage after the first time will cause a strain on their body. So it should be used with surgery in mind. Every demon gets a free pass the first time they activate their external augmentation, but they will notice their body growing more heavy, weary and tired the more times they use it per thread. And, if they are critically injured, they CANNOT use this augmentation boost. They have to be at least 50% health and energy in order for this to work. Otherwise, their body will NOT handle it.

I. Possessive Powers

Possessive Power:

-energy can influence destruction

-energy is very wild and chaotic as a result of this

-has one possessive theme, and because of this, it is incredibly powerful due to how much focus there is on this one theme

Possessive Influence - Apocalypse: can use his influence to create destructive forces, like explosions and fires, etc
-can also use this to "drain the life" of the environment

Possessive Augment: Possessive Augment is one of the key elements that make the physical might of demons rather difficult to deal with. This is because the bodies of most demons are possessing the energy from the world around them passively in varying volumes. They then store this energy within themselves, digest it and convert it into the fuel needed to help them create a physical boost in power. As a result, they can create Possessive Augment which deals with the elements of possessive body manipulation and speed in which their energy movs in their body.

Unlike other races that depend on things like shunpo, Hierro or hakuda; a demon's Possessive Augment houses all of their body manipulation and speed in one skill. And, what makes it different is that they can have some control over all these elements, but they most pick which element of their physical attributes will be their major focus. Thus, depending on their level of skill, they can have varying degrees of control and mastery of these attributes.

  • Possessive Shifting: Possessive Shifting deals with a demon's ability to shapeshift their body. In essence, the higher your possessive augment is, the more grandiose these shifts can become. On the lower end of this spectrum, one will often only be able to do minor things such as cosmetic changes (hair color, height adjustment, assuming other identities, etc), where on the highest end of the spectrum you have demons like Mana who are able to perform sub-atomic manipulation of their bodies to create regeneration based abilities and not need a physical form with organs and such.

  • Possessive Movement: Possessive Movement is the demon's ability to otherwise generate speed. If they specialize in this, then they will often begin to focus on creating techniques, abilities, and systems which serve to augment every aspect of their speed. This can range from techniques that allow for a sudden burst of movement that enhances their natural speed, the capacity to make their attacks release much faster (I.E. if a demon spell is naturally slow-moving, they can use possessive movement to possess the momentum and increase it's speed while it's being created), creating a sustained movement of speed and so on and so forth

I. Ziamichi Powers

Unique Traits

Seal of Michael: the great protector

Self-Destruction: While not quite as literal as it could be, this drawback to Takeo using Satanael's power is simply because he is a novice. He is woefully inexperienced in utilizing the destructive energies that Satanael emits. Thus, whenever he does feel pushed enough to use it, it has a great toll on Takeo's body -- as not long after beginning to utilize it (roughly three to four posts), the Energy of Destruction would begin to destroy Takeo himself. After around seven to eight, this process will have likely eaten away at Takeo's arm and part of his body.

Around ten posts or more, and the process will have destroyed Takeo, erasing his entire existence from the physical world. However, while this is a very, very long, arduous, and painful process, it should be noted that it only takes place if Takeo constantly uses the Energy of Destruction after this threshold is reached. Thus, it is a very real danger that Takeo must be able to manage properly -- if he wants to keep himself alive.

» Control: 6, will reduce as Satanael gets more of his power back

I. Host’s Equipment/Other Resources

T.A.S (Threat Assessment Scope): A piece of equipment that Takeo purchased from the Cybermind as a way to aid him in combat. This is a small device that is attached to the side of Takeo's head. Upon activation, it will begin to scan the power level near him. While this varies heavily based on the type of person that he is fighting, this device's most basic purpose is to give a sort of scale of how much of a threat Takeo's opponent is to himself, the area around him, or others in the vicinity. Furthermore, this does a bit more than just scan the potential threat level of another, it also can use the energy that it detects and processes to generate a small bit of basic information about the target. By pulling from various databases around the world, Takeo can attempt to identify the target based on their appearance and energy, along with identifying their race.

The Magic Cudgel: This is an artifact that Takeo recovered from an ancient, long-forgotten temple in China. Taking root to its name, the Magic Cudgel is an object written in the tale "Journey to the West" -- as it was the legendary pillar that the immortal monkey, Sun Wukong, took from Ao Kuang's castle in the search of a weapon that would meet his strength, as well as his standards. As per the tale, the object takes the form of a small, two-foot pole attached to a long leather strap -- a size that can easily be altered with simply the will for it to happen. Ergo, it is entirely up to Takeo what size he wishes for it to be. However, while this is a very potent weapon, Takeo is very inept at using it, with him barely able to wield it when he extends the weapon. This is because as the weapon gets larger, it gets unbearingly heavy on the wielder, leading him to have to possess a great deal of strength to wield it effectively.

Pocket Watch: no clear purpose at the moment, seems useless because it ticks backward, but Takeo still keeps it because he feels it will eventually have a use

Dimensional Band: ring that allows him to transport himself anywhere in the multiverse, briefly disturbs his placement in the space he's in, allowing him to teleport up to two times in a post, with a four-post cooldown

Ocarina: This is the instrument that Takeo carries with him at all times, as it was another relic that was bound to him after Satanael was sealed within him. The ocarina in question is an eight-hole flute with the image of Satanael engraved on the front of the instrument. Furthermore, this item is laced with incredibly powerful Holy Magic, comparable to that of the strongest angelic creatures in the verse. As a result of this, the simple act of playing this flute has the potential to drastically weaken demon-kind -- specifically and most effectively, Satanael in particular. However, it isn't hard for the influence of the Holy Magic to affect other demons.

Thus, most demons as a result of hearing the music from this instrument, even for so long as a single post can often feel incredible amounts of nausea and sickness, along with the general weakness of their powers. While this doesn't outright kill or make demons useless, it can put a very large inhibitor on their powers. Furthermore, this instrument also has another characteristic when played -- protecting its user. So, it should be noted that whenever Takeo is playing the ocarina, a shell of golden light surrounds him. During this state, most energy-based attacks that are demonic are unable to harm him, as it just bounces off the shell. However, the high-end spells and attacks (roughly about one tier and above) have been noted to break through this shell, as it has primarily been created to counteract Satanael.
  • Holy Melody - Soothing Song:

  • Holy Melody - Symphonic Obedience [Satanael]:

Heaven's Edge: This is another relic that was bound to Takeo when Satanael was sealed inside of him. Appropriately named "Heaven's Edge", this item is another weapon that is primarily counter demons and creatures that are typically "evil" in nature, giving it the apt title of "The Sword that Seals the Darkness". Ergo, it should be obvious that this item is also laced with incredible amounts of Holy Energy, giving off a similar aura of effect to demons as his ocarina. The mere presence of the weapon when drawn is enough to cause most demons to feel nauseous and ill, as per the effects that the Holy Essence usually has on demonic creatures.

However, a small advantage against demons is not the only ability that it possesses. Because of the enchantment through Holy Energy, the sword is quite a deal sharper than most, a trait that allows him to cut through most regular objects with ease, and cut through Beginner or Adept level defenses with little to no difficulty. Furthermore, whenever a demon is cut by this weapon, all forms of regeneration are slowed down tremendously, and will likely take a much larger amount of energy to recover from, especially if the wound caused is severe. This effect only lasts around three posts, and cannot be reapplied for another post after that.
