"Much as I think that is a fun idea, think the teams would be lop sided no matter what. But I know some people who'd be interested in it, turn it into a little team three v. three in the near future."
The male suggested showcasing that he wasn't quite for the idea of a lop sided match regardless of who it was, it wasn't fun in the competitive sense for him. But it did cause him to take a moment to cast eyes his eyes on the beach to perhaps find something for the three before the pause became awkward. It didn't take Desmond long to find what he was looking for, the corner of his lips tugging upwards. It seemed he had found something which sparked his fancy as he lifted up a bronze hand pointing towards a location at the beach to draw their attention.
It wouldn't take long for them either to see the group of people somewhat gathered on the beach around some relatively constructed sandpit, lined with odd looking rocks embedded into the ground. Within the center of the circle was two men currently in shorts grappling against each other in an impressive display, struggling to gain dominance over the other. One appeared to be quicker as he shot down gripping the man's ankles throwing him into a lock, another struggle ensuring.
"Alex, Nel, I don't suppose either of you have gotten to partake in the Vastimian pastime of Pugna
? Might've noticed we're all about contact sports and competition so around the nation are locations called Arenarias
where people go to display their sportsmenship skills. Typically either wrestling or martial arts."
It was a brief discription so it was given some context to the two, the sly smile on his lips becoming something of a grin as he placed his hands on his hips staring at the contest. It was a fine display so far, filled with surprisingly agility from the two men who seemed to be besting one another as a third man wearing a bandana seemed to be refereeing haphazrdly. But it all seemed in good fun even getting some cheers from the crowd. Hayden would turn to look behind him at Alex.
"Oil wrestling ain't too common anymore save for the Turks. But people do it here if you wanna throw down for the amusement of our friend here. Don't worry about any differences in power, the Arenarias
counteracts that. Makes it more of even."
That grin on his lips seemed to only grow for Hayden, it was excitement. Not at the prospect of defeating Alex or even losing himself but this was after all one of the things he enjoyed. A good competition or display of athleticism took him back to simple days, and surely between these two masculine dudes one would get a good showing. He'd lift his arm up flexing slightly as if to prompt Alex further, good intentioned teasing to say the least but a challenge none the less.
"Gotta admit, the prospect excites me being Greek and all. It's the sport of my homeland!"
