Five hundred. Five hundred one. Five hundred two.

A man formerly known as the Nightmare, sent to the depths of Hell after his death by the Beast of Karakura, he was unfortunately sent here in order to repent the sins he had committed in the past and given the time to think over his actions and the mistakes that led him to.. here - this layer of hell. That man is called Sou Yuuki, a human consumed by anger and challenged the world.

He was shirtless, doing routine push-ups to not only stave away his boredom but start building his own self-discipline so that by the time he has decided to get out of here, he wouldn't do the same stupid mistakes that he had committed before. Since his strength is not of his concern to even train in the first place, his push-ups is barely there to make sure he keeps his gears lubricated and stamina at its top form.

Since he was in Hell, the concept of day and night became a blur to him. There wasn't a clock he could look at or the skies to see the sun and the moon. However, given the number of times he repeated the same routine to maintain his shape, he presumed that around 3 years has passed since he was first sent to Hell.

At the moment though, he would care less about time but his current situation. Even by just his instincts, he believes that for some reason, he isn't alone today even though for years, Sou never spotted a single person or life-form that tread their feet in the layer that he was in. Looks like there is a guest he has to welcome soon.

Iriko Crow
The Dragon of the North, Seiryuu
Rattle...chachiin... rattle... chachiiin....

Step, after step. Silence bore through this layer of hell, at least for now. Far in the distance, a great castle loomed. Only one thing seemed to stretch from that castle; a single chain, extending out into hell past what most eyes could make out.

Throughout this layer of hell it extended, reaching across the sky for much of its length. When, at last, the chain ended, a person would be able to see how it was attached to a collar. The collar was shining gold in color, with ripples of red running through it.

The collar was quite tight, straining the flesh it was wrapped around. That neck was attached to a wiry frame, wearing a bloodied and torn blue haori. That neck was also attached to a head; one with matted, bloodied hair, and blue eyes. Piercing blue eyes. The only things that differentiated this man from a soulless corpse.

Iriko Puzyri-Teimei Crow.

A prisoner of this deepest layer of Hell.

...It's strange. Much like the ultimate futility of existence; I no longer think about what'll happen when she gets bored of me. It'll be something that will kill me, certainly. And it certainly will come to pass... but... what could I do to stop it...?

Step after step, the chained man continued to walk. This appeared to be the only liberty left to him. He no longer had power of any kind. There was a void where his Zanpakuto had once been. There was nothing left within his Inner World. Even if he desired to leave, this chain would get in his way.

Then there was the question of if he wanted to leave.

Part of him thought of this as his righteous punishment. He had failed. So many arguments, so many debates, and for what? The Gotei had erupted in rebellion against him. They were back to open conflict with Shadow Fall. At least, they were when he was escorted here. How many days ago was that...? I no longer know...

Iriko sighed, thinking about what he had been through. If the only thing left to me is my feet, then I shall go out and walk. Perhaps this hellscape's got something to offer a writer... though... none shall ever read them again... Iriko's throat tightened for reasons that had nothing to do with his collar. His eyes scrunched together, his right hand moving to his face as he took a shuddering breath. Some writer I am.

Then, he heard something. The sound of... breathing? Iriko's feet moved over the hill he had been crossing, putting a hand over his eyes as he stared outwards. Iriko tried accessing his ability to sense Reiatsu...

A splitting pain shot through his mind, like digging fingers into an open wound.

Iriko's hands gripped around his head, black hair turning this way and that as he tried to recover. The first few days had been unspeakably awful. It was like one of his senses had been replaced by unending pain. As if the tiniest word would burst his eardrums, but within his spiritual senses.

Calm down... breathe... "Helll.. Hello?" His voice was scruffy from lack of use and the pressure on his windpipe. "Is some...one...?" The man coughed. His throat did not like stretching itself against that collar.

He could see the man, then. Shirtless and... doing reps. Iriko... blinked at him. I... I have no idea what I should feel about this. I'm basically dead meat already; what's he going to do? Would she even let him do something? Should I be excited? Is he not just a prisoner like me? At last, Iriko decided to try diplomacy.

"Aaaauchk. Hello... My name is Iriko Puzyri-Teimei. Or, it was... what brings you this deep into Hell? Or... rather... brought you?"

When the chained man spoke up, Sou stopped his push-ups and immediately stood up as if he was expecting him to get to him sooner or later. He was silent for a bit, slumping over to get his shirt that was set aside on the floor alongside with a crutch where he picked both of them up - one arm over the crutch and his other arm doing the work of putting his shirt over his body. After he was done, he slowly moved towards the chained man: probably the first person he has seen in awhile.

First impression that he expects from him is that Sou was probably a crippled man. His right wrist was visibly strapped with a device, supporting his body against the crutch so he can stand properly and slumping movement when he was going to get his clothes but even in a crippled state, Sou still stands strongly in front of Iriko -- and with confidence.

He thought this place had no one else but him since it has been awhile since he has actually seen a living being loom around in Hell. Maybe living beings aren't that common in Hell? His eyes was cautiously looked at the chained man who looked.. weak. He didn't seem to be a threat at least and it seems that even HE wasn't expecting to see someone in Hell.

When the chained man introduced himself, Sou never recognized the name "Iriko" even after going through all the memories in his head. Maybe he was around long before I was?, he thought.

"The name's Sou Yuuki. Call me whatever you want."

He spoke in a rough tone, without a shred of respect even towards a weakened and chained man in Hell.

"I fought and died, that's about it."

He quickly answered when Iriko had popped the question of why he was in Hell. Since he is a stranger to him, Sou didn't feel obligated to give him anymore detail to some guy that just happens to stumble on him, so he threw back the question.

"What about you and what do you want?"

Iriko Crow
The Dragon of the North, Seiryuu

…A… Cripple…? Iriko thought to himself, perking up a bit as he watched the man grab his crutch. Despite the fact that he had been doing push-ups a moment before, he apparently had some kind of disability. Not that I can judge much… just look at my neck. Iriko's eyes glanced under his chin for a moment, before closing completely.

The man stood before him with… confidence. It was… unusual for Iriko. He was being treated… indifferently. …But… we just met… The former Captain Commander was not sure how to react to this man. He did not recoil from Iriko standing before him. He did not have the look in his eyes that it would be better if he just… went away. …I've really lost everything… I've lost… each, and everything… that made me, me… Iriko's teeth gnashed in his mouth, his hair hiding his eyes. This is where I am, now. This is the path I've walked. This is where I belong… isn't it?

Iriko's spiritual presence was practically nothing. He was like a hamster, or a cat, spiritually. He had certain physiological abilities that remained from his Zanpakuto, like how his body could secrete slime… but he was empty, hollow. There was nothing left in him when it came to spiritual pressure. "Well, let me see…" Iriko began, accessing the hoarse voice, coughing again into his sleeve. He was determined to have an appropriate conversation with the man, even if he started feeling… blood… in his throat.

"… How about Workout Sou?" Iriko Puzyri-Teimei Crow replied, feeling… so refreshed. By that guy who gave him a sword, for a while… This guy ground against him, like a saw blade on a mill. …That's who I was… that's how I was. Iriko's vibrant eyes shifted, looking at Sou differently. He was not being judged; he was being treated as an intruder. ..Ha… I'm… intruding on his peace… haha…

Iriko couldn't help it. He just couldn't. One hand reached to his face, fingers reaching within strands of his hair. He laughed, he laughed good and heartily. He laughed in such a way that he had not in some time. Right in front of Sou, he laughed as hard as he could.

"Ah ha… Ahaha… ahahaha… AHAH… AHAHAHAHAHAHAH, HAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

Iriko's arms reached around his sides at Sou's explanation on how he had wounded up here in hell. He could feel tears around his eyes. He could feel the chain around his throat. It hurt to laugh. But, it felt so good! It felt so… pure. Human interaction, human contact, human.. Human… Small tears appeared on his eyes, though perhaps they had come from how hard he was laughing. One of Iriko's hands smacked against his knee, sitting his flat behind on the ground.

"Aaaah, ha… haha… ha… ha… you, that.. Ha… you sound like a dick." Iriko told the man, swishing his head, causing for his blood-matted hair to get out of his eyes. "Fought and died? How many people have you seen here who 'died'? Do you think I'm dead? Look at this." Iriko told the man, bringing one hand up to his face. He seemed so much more… alive. He was animate; this man's rough attitude had brought something out in him.

Without pause, Iriko bit into the corner of his thumb. Holding it out, Sou could see the dark red blood, infused with flecks of gold, running down the former Kido Expert's arm. "The dead don't bleed, do they?" He asked, reaching into his cloak as the guy asked his next question.

"I'm an idiot who thought he could change the mind of the Demon that lives in that castle I'm chained to." He explained, one hand moving to his face and rubbing out the small beads of tears that had formed during his laughing fit. "That was pointless. Now I'm chained here like a dog. My Zanpakuto's left me, and I struck my own name from the record. I've got nothing! Nothing!" Iriko laughed again, having finally found what he was looking for.

Out of his cloak, he drew a pipe. "Well let's see. A chance meeting like this shouldn't just… be squandered, right? I haven't seen another living, or even dead, thing or person in this putrid place… Have you ever blown bubbles before?" Out of his pocket, Iriko pulled a golden… bubble blower.

A bubble blower.

Iriko smiled at the thing, before holding it out to Sou. "Yeah, I know, interrupting your infinite push-ups. Tell me you're not bored out of your mind out here." Iriko said, the smallest smirk on his lips. He hoped the man would accept his offer to take a blow on the blower; after all…

Who thought about blowing bubbles in Hell?

Workout?, he thought when he replied his question of what he wanted. Sou immediately sighed at that answer, wondering whether this chained man thought he had a great sense of humor. His eyes continued gazing at Iriko silently, showing that he clearly is not interested in some stupid jokes just because he did some reps earlier ago. As much as it was nice to see another living being in Hell, Sou wasn't interested in bullshit.

When Iriko broke into laughter, he stood there in silence - picking one of his ears until he had stopped laughing away at whatever that made him laugh and scratched his head when he was finally finished laughing, going as far as calling him a dick because of how he treated him just now.

"You done laughing?", as his words and tone was blunt and cold.

To Sou, Iriko was as good as dead. He doesn't have the ability to feel other people's reiatsu inside of them to gauge how strong they are but seeing his state of being chained, bleeding and even struggling to keep himself together - he was no different. Whoever that demon that chained him to this state in Hell, Sou had learnt one thing from this exchange: that "demon" is probably strong and best not overstep his boundaries until he learns who this person is.

As he hears Iriko kept rambling off, something in his sentence ticked him off along the lines of "I've got nothing", causing Sou to click his tongue in annoyance and release a sudden burst of pressure that washes over Iriko's entire being, temporarily cutting him off from what he was about to say after that sentence.

There wasn't any form of spiritual power behind the force that he was emitting towards Iriko -- it was pure pressure with not even a drop of any spiritual energy in it, it was Sou's own strength alone that allowed him to perform such a feat for a human.

He only uttered a single word: "Pathetic. Just.. pathetic."

His pressure eventually faded away after releasing it for several seconds to let Iriko continue what he was about to do and chucked over his crutch towards and in front of Iriko, which may look like a typical underarm crutch from the hospital but on closer look, it would appear to be a modified weapon.

"All you do is whine having nothing but you don't do anything about it. You felt it yourself - I have nothing either. No powers, no spiritual energy, nothing and yet you don't see me talking shit."

Sou maintained his calm but visibly pissed off. Unlike before, he didn't lash it out against him but instead, did the opposite.

"You want to have something so much? Take my weapon then - I don't need it."

He gestured Iriko to take the crutch that he chucked towards him. Sou did all of this for one reason and one only -- he himself was a powerless human before and even after his death. He was able to make it this far and become this powerful was because he persevered and tolerated all the shit he had to go through. Australia War, Shadin, Nozomi, the Demon Queen herself, everything to surpass Mana and become the strongest human of all even if he didn't have a shred of superpowers.

All the presumed "powers" he had were just mimics of an actual power by using equipment to produce them and use his physical strength to guide them. He wasn't anything special but at least he didn't whine powerlessly like this chained man did.

If Iriko continued to offer him to blow bubbles from the blower he took out despite what he did? Sou would cover his face with his hand, laughing it off for a short while before he quickly recovered.

"You're one interesting dude, aren't you?", as he smirked.

"I'll repeat myself one more time: what do you want?"

After asking his question, he waved Iriko's offer of his blower away, indicating that he wasn't interested in some kid's toy.

"Answer me honestly and I'll let you ask me anything you want to know about."

Iriko Crow
The Dragon of the North, Seiryuu

Really is cold, isn't he? Guess I shouldn't be too surprised. He's in hell, after all. The former Captain Commander finished his laughing fit, recomposing himself as he beheld the man in front of him. "Yeah.. sorry, I needed that." He explained, relaxing a bit more once again.

A cool wave of pressure suddenly slammed into Iriko's body as he spoke. His body remained entirely still, even as the waves of pressure caused for the outline of his body to waver a bit. His bright eyes stared right at Sou as the pressure crushed into him, unflinching, unmoving.

Not just here for pushups then, hmm? Didn't drive me crazy, though... is that his pure bloodlust? Kinda reminds me of our old Stealth Division captain... A roaring feeling filled the Shinigami's ears as the moments passed, his gaze unyielding, still looking directly at Sou.

The man did not seem to be intimidated in the slightest. Sou could visibly see Iriko's arms lowering down onto either side of his body, being forced down slowly. "You got it." He told the man, his gaze turning level as the pressure finally stopped. His hands resumed the position they held before. His heart was racing, but that was from his own instincts. Usually, when he felt something like that... it meant it was time to fight.

"You are the one who asked me, didn't you?" Iriko countered, one hand curiously reachig for the crutch, bringing it into his hands. Well, well... seems he brought a weapon down here as well... and if he doesn't use spiritual force, after all... then theoretically I could use this weapon, as well. Iriko held the weapon into the sky, debating on whether or not to try firing it. Ultimately, he decided not to. Who knew what forces were observing them even now... or how much of a wallop the weapon of a man like this had. A broken arm'll make it hard to write.

Sou confirmed his suspicions; apparently, he truly was devoid of everything spiritual-wise. Most unfortunate that you've still found your way to hell. Iriko considered the weapon for a few minutes more, wondering if this 'Sou' might actually be a good person after all. He seemed to be violent and rough on the surface; but he also offered his tool to Iriko after learning about his situation. "..." Iriko was uncharacteristically quiet, choosing to wait for Sou to finish speaking. Without saying anything else about it for now, Iriko placed the weapon carefully on its side, moving to his offer to blow bubbles.

"What I want..." Iriko brought the blower to his lips. Breathing in the Miasma of hell, he could feel the scratchiness in his throat from the collar. It made it harder to perform his favorite hobby...but he was not about to let that stop him. Not when he had finally found someone that made him feel like doing it again. Iriko blew carefully, calmly... first, a small wave of bubbles, which floated and flitted outwards past Sou's body. Then, Iriko decided to show off a bit.

This might be the last chance he would ever get to.

His eyes closed at that thought, pouring all of his focus and emotion into his blower. He didn't have his Zanpakuto any longer. His bubbles were not enchanted with any power or magic; just extremely high quality residue from when he had been a Shinigami captain. Gradually, the bubble grew, turning the size of Iriko's body, his head tilted upwards to maintain it's size.

At last, Iriko removed the thing from his lips, drawing the bubble outwards as he released it. The colossal bubble was released, billowing this way and that. It moved near Sou's body, and if he reached out to touch it, it would pop. Either way it would meet the same fate, crashing into the ground about twenty feet away. "Offer is still on the table if you want to try." Iriko said, unable to hide the smallest hint of a grin on his lips. He loved blowing bubbles.

"I want to escape this place. I desire to harmonize the races of this world, to argue and fight with my ideals until people of all nations understand the value of all others. But I can't do that here. I can't argue with that Demon who controls this collar any longer. And until I escape her... break this chain... I'll never be free." Iriko explained, before glancing back calmly at the castle. He was apparently waiting to see if something would happen...

But nothing did.

"Now, my turn; what are you training for? Do you have plans for leaving this place? And for what?" Iriko paused for a moment, one finger rubbing thoughtfully against his bubble blower. He was thinking about the fact that this man, like hinself, had been sent or brought to Hell. That sounded like a story, like a tale. And if this man were to somehow leave this place..

"And actually, if I can be a bit greedy, could I take another?"

Sou sighed when Iriko decided to talk back to him when he complained about his whining.

"I was pretty sure I didn't ask you to whine like a kid though."

He didn't hesitate to throw back Iriko's words since he clearly remembers what he had asked before and didn't seem like it got across to his head. After that minor exchange, Sou remained his silence, letting Iriko do whatever he wants - blowing bubbles, messing about, Sou didn't really care since he didn't have any interest to take part in anything that doesn't have his questions answered. Even when Iriko offered him again to blow bubbles, he didn't show any interest and waved him away again, hoping that this conversation can go somewhere instead of messing with kid's toys.

When the chained man was finally willing to move this talk to somewhere more desirable, Sou silently listened in about what he wants - an answer he originally asked for and wouldn't ask for the third time.

When Iriko had given his explanation - the talk about wishing to escape this place, harmonizing the races and alike, he felt a tiny similarity between their goals when Sou was still up and kicking back in Earth. But.. there is no such ideal world in this society. Sou was one of those foolish people that held onto the hopes that if he had gained the ultimate power that even surpasses the Demon Queen, then there wouldn't be a man daring enough to challenge his ideals that even powerless humans like himself have the ability to rise and be above all superhuman beings.

The only result he got from hanging on that ideal? Death.

"You're.. quite the funny man. Well, I suggest that you're better off staying chained here."

He took his time sitting down, the fingers on both of his hands interlocked with each other, setting his elbow against his knees and leaning his chin on his interlocked fingers. His eyes gazed towards Iriko, slightly chuckling over what he said.

"Give it up. No such ideal world exists. No matter how powerful you are, someone will bound to overthrow you because you disagree with their ideals. Its just an endless loop of arguing, killing, rinse and repeat."

He didn't hold back on being blunt towards him -- even if it meant hurting his feelings, arguing against his ideals or maybe, offend him in his pathetic state. He remained honest regardless as he himself has experienced the same.

Sou also didn't question his statement about "her", whoever that kept him chained down here for eternity. In his head, no one else came to mind other than Mana Asthavon herself that kept Iriko chained here. Just thinking about her annoyed him a little before he shrugged it off and continued listening to Iriko, especially his questions about him.

"I'm just preparing myself to challenge the world once more when I'm out of here. No more, no less."

Straight to the point. When Iriko asked about why he trained and his plans to get out of here, Sou immediately answered in a heartbeat because it remained his goal even after death, although with a different goal in mind than he had back before his death.

"Although.. If I were to have an exact plan in mind, maybe killing Mana wouldn't sound so bad."

He wasn't joking. Sou was caught off guard last time by Mana's fit of anger and he remembered it deep inside his memory. He had to pay her back the favor he owes her after all, by sharpening his fangs and ruin her day once more and this time, he is going to look for her with the full intent to kill her without holding back. He made a mistake once and there won't be another time.

When Iriko mentioned of taking "another", Sou wasn't sure what he meant by that. He leaned back from his sitting posture, supporting himself as his hands were placed behind his back. Well, he couldn't care less.

"Take whatever."

Iriko Crow
The Dragon of the North, Seiryuu

Iriko's eyes squinted at the man. His body was tense, before it relaxed about halfway. He was clearly unhappy about being told that he was whining, but at the same time… "…Fine. You're right." In some ways, his pouting was almost like a child's. He seemed to at least possess the maturity of an adult enough to admit, after some jabbing, that he was wrong.

The Shinigami was a bit sad that the man did not seem to take any interest in his bubble blowing. It's rather unfortunate… I finally find another living soul, and they're not interested in the equivalent of sharing cups with me. Ah well. Yet again, the man's fate rested on his shoulders. This was an event that was unlikely to be repeated again. Another loss. Another chance lost.

At those words, however… Iriko's face hardened considerably. I'm better off staying chained down here?! Here?! The fire was brought back into his eyes.. But… is it even a matter of freedom…? Is freedom even possible…? Before Sou's eyes, that scary expression began to weaken, waver… and then at last, Iriko's eyes came to a close. As they opened again, his mouth was curving gently downward, and his eyes were no longer meeting Sou's.

Now, both men were sitting. Sou's eyes were fixed on Iriko's face, but Iriko's could no longer meet his. "……." The former Shinigami was silent, one hand moving up to his forehead as the line that was his mouth twitched and wavered. The creases expanded as the corners of his mouth went farther and farther down with each passing moment.

At last, Sou's words finished. Iriko's hand drew away from his face, and he met Sou's eyes once again. "That's well and good to say that, but look at me. Look at the state I'm in. Wouldn't it be betraying myself if I went back on that now? The literal hell I've dragged myself into, to just quit? I'm not about to give into that kind of despair. Desiring that path is the only way I could stand to keep looking at my own reflection…!"

The downward curves on Iriko's face had departed, replaced by his teeth pressing into one another. The moroseness had left his eyes. It was as if he was not talking to Sou at all, but rather to himself. Any anger he had was not directed toward the man sitting before him… but back on himself.

After another moment, he calmed again, head tilting upward. He was now looking past Sou, at the hellscape before them. After another moment, he turned his gaze to the man once again, altogether more calm. "…Yeah, I know: the cycle will likely just repeat. But at the same time, there's no guarantee of that, is there? Nothing is for certain in this… well, universe. So why wouldn't it be possible to create a system like that? One that endures…? And, to be honest…" Iriko's hands relaxed. He had not realized how hard he was gripping onto his knees.

"Without being able to think about that, I'd probably lose my mind down here. And… my mind is the only thing that's stuck with me through everything."

Iriko supposed that it must be similar for the man in front of him, as well. He seemed to enjoy the thought of what he would do when he got out of here. He was still constantly thinking about getting out of here. Well, he also does not have a chain wrapped around his neck. The former Captain thought to himself, the man's words having improved his mood considerably. As for his overall goal…

"Mana… Mana Asthavon?" Iriko's eyes lit up at that statement. One hand moved to his chin, biting his lower lip for a moment before releasing it. "…Now that, I would like to see. She's part of what caused this whole mess in the first place… doing whatever she desires, without thinking of the consequences… breaking whatever, or whoever stands in her way…" Iriko's mind was turning, the gears of his thoughts shambling and waking. "…Let me make a guess: she's the reason you're down here, isn't she?"

The man's mood had considerably improved. Just talking with someone else like this seemed to have cheered him up. He was hoping for just a bit more though; and he wondered if that question would support what he had in mind.

"…I used to like finding stories and making them into poetry. So then, do you mind telling me the story of how you wound up down here? I might never get to tell it to anyone else, but at this point I'd give one of my arms for something, anything that someone else has experienced. And… I'd be willing to bet that's quite a tale."

Looking at his expression, even Sou could tell that this chained dude wasn't having a good time. Though, he didn't care what kind of emotions that was brought out from this man since even if he had felt that they were similar one way or another, their approach to their ideal world was vastly different - one who fights for the sake of harmonization and the other for the sake of the highest form of power to change how this world ran. Before until now, even after death, taking the path of villainy was still an appropriate road for Sou to take no matter what.

Sou remained silent, letting Iriko talking to his heart's content while all he did was listening in to what he has to say about his ideals that Sou decided to challenge: that it doesn't exist, that isn't as simple as learning the letters in the alphabet.

"You think I haven't tried going against the current system? I have fought almost every man and woman on Earth but without absolute power, your ideals are nothing but a shitty joke."

Despite speaking towards Iriko in a spiteful tone, there is no denying that Iriko's words hold some truth to it as much as he dislikes it. It is true that nothing in this world is set in stone and creating a new system of this world that overthrows the current one is possible but still, looking at the current state that both of them are in, it sounds more like a fairy tale than anything else now.

Seeing his reaction at the mention of the Demon Queen's name was pretty interesting though, letting him assume that he was also one of those people that unfortunately fell into the palm of her hand and was able to confirm it soon after listening to Iriko went on a short rant about how she was the cause of all this mess.

And when he had popped the question?

"Indirectly so, yes. Shadin was the one who did the deed of killing me."

Chuckling when mentioning the name of the person who ended his life, it was an interesting moment to look back on after he was severely weakened in his fight against Nozomi and Mana which made him vulnerable.

There was a chance for him to redeem himself and regain the hope that he had lost many years ago but he outright rejected it. Just because he solely believes that a villain like himself has no place nor right to redeem the sins that he has accumulated indefinitely over time.

That thought brought himself physically closer to Iriko who seems to be interested in his story before he was brought down in this literal hell hole.

"Hahahahahahaha!"

In the end, he couldn't help but laugh. There was still someone here who was still interested in boring old stories of a dead man?

"I'm just a mere human who only became an enemy of the entire world. I needed absolute power that no one could challenge and to achieve that, I fought against Mana and lost. The rest? You can imagine how I got here."

Without being able to contain his excitement, Sou accidentally let some of his pressure leak out, suddenly showering part of the Hell's layer with a surge of blood lust and pressure that instantly distorted the air around them before returning to normal.

The thought of his past got his blood jumping again. How long has he been down here again?

Ahh.. old habits sure do die hard even being down here for awhile now.

"My apologies. Talking about the past had my blood raring to kill someone. Just to let you know, I'm no one interesting and is just some dude who just happened to be a villain."

Iriko Crow
The Dragon of the North, Seiryuu

The dirtied man rested his head back, feeling the cold metal of his collar digging against his skin. A constant reminder, one he would never be able to escape. Unless something happened, unless such a person or creature emerged. "And that is where I have to disagree. Having absolute power isn't necessary; you could also reach that goal by gaining the consent of each being who determines what 'absolute power' means. It's all relative, isn't it?" The poet posited, his head returning to its prior position as he met Sou's gaze.

"Fighting against it makes me feel alive, though. To me, it is life's grand meaning. And as long as I don't give up on fighting it, I will never be dead." The gaze within Iriko's eyes had changed; the slightest hint of a deep-sea blue shining through as he looked at Sou. "My ideals will have to carry me. It's as simple as that; if I fail, I fail. If I can try again, I will. Anything else would be admitting contentment, accompanied by complacency. Nobody has ever held the title of 'the Complacent'."

As the man spoke, Iriko's right hand slowly raised. His tale made Iriko continue to write, his facial expression having completely changed. The aggression, desperation, fear, hope... it had gone. In its place... was a look of enjoyment. The man's gaze was softer, his body visibly relaxing the more the man spoke.

"The whole world, huh? What set you off in each of its sides?" Iriko continued, his finger continuing to move in front of his body.

After a couple of moments, Iriko's hand seized up. He grimaced, relaxing for a second, before returning to his task. It was from his minuscule pools of spiritual energy running out and needing to recover enough to perform this extremely basic task.

Iriko stood there as Sou loosed his internal pressure. Seems like he really enjoys talking about himself, about what he has done. Iriko enjoyed that enthusiasm, even as his finger visibly shook, paralyzed from the amount of pressure Sou was using. The unusual part, though, was that Iriko seemed otherwise unaffected by his bloodlust and pressure.

"What kind of person regards themselves as a villain? Surely you haven't given up on even yourself?" Iriko continued, his finger continuing to move in the air while he spoke. "What would you say that turning moment was, then? What happened, or did you cause to happen, that lead to you fighting against 'the whole world'?" Iriko's line of questioning continued, trying to get Sou to actually give him some more details. Perhaps he was framing it as a challenge of sorts; based on the training earlier, and how he described himself as a villain, it seemed likely that he was someone who enjoyed being challenged.
