Saburo City...

She was surprised anywhere could've been left in such an unprotected state, especially when better guarded cities weren't so far away. The Danava had only come here to confirm or deny what was said about the town, and she certainly could confirm.. These roads were awfully troubled, especially the farther into bad company she would go.

Some people tried to give her issues as she went along, because she just looked like the most innocent, darling creature, a small cute little treasure to be plucked and run off with. However, they were swiftly proven incorrect when such a sweet face would turn into the ugliest, most horrifying thing of their wildest dreams. Ah, good thing only a small bit of her true form, morphed into a terrible horror was enough to make the disgusting fuckers run and think twice about trying to do anything.

She couldn't believe a place could host so much negative sensation and problematic passerbys. Has nobody looked into this place? How has this kind of behavior and even the state of the town gone unchecked for so long? It just made her click her teeth - maybe the heroes weren't as heroic as they wished to be seen as.

Then again.. Who was she to talk? She was a hapless bystander for most of her life.

The scent of death certainly shook her from her thoughts, an ill feeling hitting her stomach. Oh gods, was.. Was it really..?

A quick glance at a strewn corpse's arm poking out of an alleyway was enough to answer the question, a shiver running down her spine as she went along. Awful. How many people here didn't get a proper burial?

However, something really made her heart skip a beat - not the scent of dead, agonized bodies, but... Agony. Pain and agony. Like sharp daggers digging into her senses. Someone was in terrible pain nearby.

Alert, she'd immediately go to the source of these feelings. Terrible images flashed in her mind, threatening her that her efforts were worthless, but she ignored them. It wouldn't happen again.

Soon, her tracking led her to an alleyway, someone digging at the source of the glowing pain - a demon.

"YOU."

There was no heightening of volume, it was simply an intense call to attention. If the demon had any brain cells zapping around their skull, they'd look at her,

"Leave. NOW."

Clearly they were stupid, since they just chuckled and got right back to pickpocketing. She really hated having to deal with stubborn creatures these days...

With a fluid motion, one of her hands would change drastically in size and shape, forming large black void-like tendrils, anger boiling in her spirit as the skrub was grabbed, squeezed, and yanked over to the Danava,

"When someone tells you to leave, you fuck off, Understood?"

There was a serious level of intensity to her voice, her eyes just as hard and angry as she peered into the fool's eyes, the demon nodding quickly and in a very I-just-pissed-myself manner, ran off as soon as she left them go. Glaring at the direction the demon went for a moment, her tense demeanor would quickly drop as she'd run to what looked to be a young man's side,

"Ah shit, you are not doing okay.."

It didn't take a rocket scientist or an empath to realize he was not in great shape; guy practically was vomiting up his lungs from the looks of it,

"Hang in there.. I got you. Stay with me."

Was a bad idea to move him if his organs weren't doing great, so instead she'd kneel beside him, placing her hands on his chest, and let out a low sigh,

"This might hurt but I promise, i'm trying to help you."

She had a decent idea of what was wrong, so at the very least she could try to keep him from dying and hopefully get a better idea of what was injured when he wasn't gagging on blood. Focusing her energies, her thoughts, her wish to heal this man, she would focus, closing her eyes, and then soon sent out waves of energy to mend what was broken inside of him, at least to the best extent she could for now.

EMBERS OF REINCARNATION

NENKA FOTIA

Quite a daunting situation for Nenka to be in. It was just a normal day for him; he was patrolling the abandoned areas of Saburo as this was usually going to be the breeding ground for trouble and for bad actors. It was his job to guard the entirety of this city, even its unsavoury parts. He was confident enough in his own strength that he'd be able to handle any of the lowlifes lurking in the shadows here.

The problem then, was that the strength he possessed was not just a source of power but also a weakness. While he was patrolling, without warning he found himself in awful pain, bringing him to his knees and vomiting blood. He had no idea why this was happening to him but the truth was, that power he had came into possession of was the cause. It was only natural after all; he had inherited a powerful vizards soul.. while being a human. He had some supernatural sense, but his soul was effectively overflowing and bursting at the seams.

To make matters worse, some scumbag demon was attempting to mug Nenka while he was down and out. He had no means to really resist as all he could feel was the pain and the feeling of his lungs crushing him as blood came up from his throat. He wasn't even able to speak, or emotionally process that some demon he'd crush under his foot with ease was now robbing him.

However, once he heard the voice of this girl that had now appeared he managed to gather the strength to turn his eyeballs to her. She seemed way too innocent. She was in danger. He had to do something while his body and spirit were breaking. He very weakly only managed to mouth the word, it likely wouldn't reach her ears.

"..Run.."

What happened next came as a total shock. This little girl turned into some incomprehensible monster. He couldn't believe his eyes. Suddenly, the only thing he could feel now was fear. He was going to die here. There's no way he could survive that as he was right now, face stuck in a puddle of his own blood. The heroes journey was going to end before he had even truly started. Despite the demon trying to mug him now running for dear life, he still felt this fear.

He could offer no resistance as she came over to his side, only for her tone to change drastically. She had came to save him. To be saved by a little girl.. not very chivalric, so he thought. But he sighed a lot of relief when he realised that she wasn't here to finish the job his body had started. As she begun her healing, he found himself now able to talk, he had a lot to say.

"Thank you... but.. what.. are you?"

Nenka felt very conflicted; this was obviously no innocent little girl but something far beyond his understanding. His supernatural senses were not functional in his current state but what he had seen was nothing short of demonic, yet she rushed to his aid so easily. What manner of person was this and what did they want from him? Even though the healing process had started, he was barely able to form sentences so he was blunt and straight to the point.

What was she?

ENTER THE DREAMER

"Calm down. Stress can make the pain worse."

Of course she could sense his fear, and had a reasonable idea of where it was being placed - Her. She took her attention away from any following thoughts regarding that for now; he needed to be healed and this required her attention, a few moments of silence passing his question unanswered, before she would release her hold on him, hoping it'd be enough to keep him together for now, relieved he was at least still conscious.

She contemplated for a moment of whether or not she should tell him what she was, somewhat worried she may freak him out, but from his reaction he already caught a glimpse of her so like.. What was there even to hide, right?

"Okay, long story short, i'm a Danava. No i'm not trying to control you or whatever, i'm genuinely trying to help you."

She doubted her words were fully reassuring, but it was the best she could give at the moment as her head whipped around, practically tasting bad intentions in the air as she kneeled by him,

"So... Probably would be a good idea for us to get the heck out of here before some jerk comes by to mess with us."

She contemplated if she really should just go all out with her form to get them out of there, thinking about it for a moment before sighing in defeat; yeah there definitely was no way she could carry him and make it out of here real quick with the added intimidation in her current form.

"Okay, I can get us somewhere safer but uhm... Don't scream. Like, for your sake and mine, don't scream."

She would hold him up by a little, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes. She needed to be fast.. Four legged probably would work.. Little larger and fluffier so she could comfortably carry him.. In real time her form would change as her thoughts shaped her figure, her body turning dark and inhumane as it spread and shifted, the young man being carefully hoisted up until he was on the back of the form she decided on; A wolf-like being with horns with hopefully a reasonably quiet human on her back.

"Time to go."

She didn't seem to have any difficulty moving as she would get moving, running off through the destroyed streets, hopefully beelining out of town as her large paws hit the earth.
